"Oh fuck!" The older boy said as he stared between the two of us, glancing at my daughter, concern on his face. I narrow my eyes at him.

"You've imprinted on my daughter haven't you, young Alpha?" I asked him, I don't recognise the tone of my voice as I say this, and I see my son cross his arms and smirk, as he looks between the two of us. The other younger male takes a few steps back.

"Yes... Chief told me to stay back, and not approach her whilst the Cullen's was sniffing all around Bella, I didn't like it. I wanted to run in their house and take her, or kidnap Bella back to La Push on the few rare sunny days we've had." He confesses.

"Paul and Jared have had to stop me a couple of times, I felt something was off but couldn't tell what. I did a job at Charlie's a few months ago, and it happened then... I know she felt something but whatever they have been doing to her, I think stopped it from fully taking its full effect the imprinting thing."

"If she's Billy's goddaughter why didn't he protect her the way he should have, knowing what they are? If that was me in his shoes and the rolls were reversed, then she'd be taken back to here regardless of what anyone else said."

"That's what he's been wanting to do for ages, it's been bloody annoying to tell you the honest truth," Paul said.

"Something to do with the pact, Chief said. The Cullen boy and pixie-like girl thought she was his mate, from visions she'd had." The other lad spoke.

"Fucking hell, that bunch of shit?" I ask.

"Unfortunately, I would have personally loved the chance to rip the mind reader's head off and whipe that annoyingly smug smirk of the dead fucks face." My son says and looks actually genuinely disappointed he didn't have that opportunity to do so.

"There were only two of you, last time I was here, who's the new kid?" I ask.

"Jared Cameron," Paul answered for guy. "We think another might join us soon, he was exposed to them, after he went to Forks."

"I see... now let me get my daughter home! I found your sister half dead on the forest floor and I'm going to rip Billy Black a new one." I tell them.

"Give Bella space Uley, I don't like this. I've just got my baby back, but you can be there when she wakes up and I will allow you to be the first person she sees, to see if what you say is fact or not." I tell him.

"It's fact, unfortunately," Paul grumbled, as he narrows his eyes at his Alpha who glares back at him, then his eyes drift back to my daughter his hands in fists.

"How long have you been fighting it for, exactly?" I ask him.

"Since October. She came back to live hear on a more permanent basis... it's been almost five months, and you know what season is coming up... I've been battling with my mind and wolf since Billy told me not to interfere, but let things happen naturally." I growled at him.

"Like I said before. Let's get her back home, and into the warmth. I will call Billy and tell him I've returned permanently and will be claiming Bella as mine officially." He told them, walking forwards, not bothering to look to see if the three of them followed or not. The Cameron kid was very quiet, and he wasn't sure if he liked that or not.

What the fuck was Billy playing at? Keeping a wolf from his mate? He understood to an extent and part of him is thankful for it because she isn't marked or mated yet. He can smell her innocence and despite everything she's probably been through, she's clearly got standards, as she's not just thrown herself at anyone, like her mother.

Once he reached home he waited for Paul to unlock the door, he noticed he had his bag with him too, and nodded in thanks as he took Bella upstairs to the spare bedroom where he left her with the Uley boy who'd followed him like a lost dog the whole way back.

"This is going to be interesting..." Paul said as he put the kettle on. The kid hasn't trashed the place this time and has kept their home tidy with no broken TV.

"She's really my sister?" He asked, sounding doubtful.

"Yes, could you not smell our DNA in her?" He asked.

"I never even thought to scent that, Dad. Considering she had a family, It didn't even cross my mind." He frowned, moving to put the coffee in four mugs, as I phoned Billy Black for the first time in a handful of years.

"Terrance Lahote, it has been a while. I am guessing you are back on the reservation?" He greeted me with.

"Correct... any missing kids in Forks?" He said, and he knew if his son had anything in his mouth it would have been spat out, judging by the look on his face.

"I was actually just about to phone the boys. Chief Swan's daughter has gone missing!" I growled at him.

"She's not his daughter, and I found her halfway to dead in the woods, stinking of Vampire. Your also an asshole for keeping the Uley kid away from her, when they met in October you old fool. What the fuck are you thinking?" He shouted angrily, as silence greeted his words.

"Well?" He demanded.

"Are you at Paul's?" He asked.

"Yes, I'm at MY house." The phone clicked off, just as I hear a cry then a gasp. I go to move but the Cameron kid blocks my way out of the kitchen, I raise an eyebrow.

"Listen," he said, speaking for the first time.

We hear silence, as Paul places the mugs on the table and gets another mug out for Bella.

"They lied?" She whispered, to Sam.

"I'm sorry, yes." He replied to her as she became silent and he whispered words we shouldn't hear to her.

"He won't hurt her," Jared said.

"I know that," I told him, as he then looked behind me, I looked back to find Paul holding two mugs out to me. I took them and made my way upstairs to meet my daughter for the third time.

Thanks so much :)
