Price Sidon gazed in the direction of the young Sheikah woman who caught his eye as strongly as she caught Queen Zelda's bouquet of flowers. He had never seen such an exquisite work of art, especially not outside of his own race before. His thoughts were interrupted by his father, King Dorephan, tapping him on the shoulder. "That's your cue. All unmated males must make their way to the edge of the dance floor! That means you, my son."

Sidon rolled his eyes. "I do not understand this strange custom, but I will do as you say, Father." He slowly walked to the large group of single males from every race who were gathered together. To his horror, he watched as King Link lifted Queen Zelda's dress over his head while kneeling on the floor in front of her. "What in the name of Hylia is he doing? He can't even wait for a more appropriate time and less public place for such overt acts?"

The young Hylian man next to him chuckled at Sidon's comment. "Pardon me, Your Highness, but it isn't nearly as bad as it looks. It's just for fun."

Sidon turned back again to watch, this time with curiosity instead of disgust. To his surprise, Link emerged victorious from underneath Queen Zelda's dress holding a circular piece of cloth between his teeth.

The Hylian man saw the confusion on the Zora prince's face, and he went on to explain that it was called a garter, the bride wears it around her thigh, and the groom throws it at the waiting group of single males. The point was for one of the single men to catch it. Sidon's eyes grew wide when the man pointed at Link, who was now aiming it at the gathered group with his Ancient Bow, only instead of an arrow strung against it, it was the garter.

"Why is he doing that?" Sidon wondered aloud.

"It's just a fun tradition. Supposedly the one to catch it will be the next to get married, and the same is true for the single lady who catches the bride's bouquet."

Sidon's breath caught, and he suddenly felt very warm. He hardly had a chance to think more about who caught the bouquet before Link stopped teasing the crowd and sent the small piece of clothing hurling with his bow...straight for him. Because of his height he caught the garter easily, to his embarrassment.

His father and Muzu rushed toward him, laughing and slapping him on the back. "Nice catch, my son! Maybe you'll find a nice mate soon after all, and I will no longer have to worry if my remaining child will do me the honor of making me a grandfather!"

Sidon turned away from his father and took a deep breath, then rolled his eyes. He turned back to him. "Please, not this conversation again, Father, with all due respect. At the very least, not here." The Zora king and Muzu laughed as Link and Zelda appeared next to him, with Link patting him on the back and Zelda beaming at him.

"Congratulations, brother! Maybe there will be another royal wedding to attend soon! I sure hope so! This has been fun!" Link exclaimed excitedly.

Out of the corner of his eye, Sidon saw the excitable small child-like Sheikah woman, Purah, dash toward them. She had been the ring bearer during the ceremony while Prince Sidon officiated, and now Purah was the official photographer. She was holding the Sheikah slate, and he could see she was dragging someone behind her. As they approached closer, his stomach flipped when he realized the person Purah was dragging was holding Zelda's bouquet—it was the beautiful Sheikah woman he had been secretly eyeing since he first noticed her. Unbeknownst to him, she had been eyeing him since the beginning of the ceremony, while at the same time crying over Link, who was now permanently off the market.

"All right people, move it! Purah coming through! Gather around, gather around! I need a group photo here!" Purah addressed the beautiful Sheikah woman. "You stand next to him. Why are you looking at me like that? Just please go stand by him for a minute. He won't bite, even if he is rather shark-like." Purah grinned up at Sidon, and the prince gazed down toward the taller Sheikah woman. "It's true, I won't bite. I give you my word."

The beautiful Sheikah had her back turned to him, but he could see her visibly stiffen at his words. Sidon smiled again down at Purah, little did she know for allowing him the glorious opportunity to be close to the beautiful Sheikah female. Looking away and up at Zelda, Purah continued barking her instructions. "Yes, Zelda, you'll be next to the blushing beauty, just like that. Linky, you stand on the other side of Prince Sidon. Yes, exactly! Everyone understand? Check it!"

Sidon barely heard anything after Purah directed the red-faced young woman to stand next to him. The red-faced Sheikah woman, who was now gazing up at him, moved toward him, but she took care not to get too close.

Purah's childlike voice rang out again, directed at the other Sheikah woman. "Oh, you're going to have to get a lot closer than that, honey. I have to get all four of you in this picture, and I WILL SUCCEED!" The tiny Sheikah was now pushing on Sidon's very muscular calves, trying to get him to move closer, since the young woman was still frozen stiff as a board, staring up at him.

Sidon took a deep breath and stepped closer to her. He managed to utter a quiet "Hello." The woman grew even more wide-eyed, and Sidon noticed her cheeks flush even redder than they had been. The woman managed a squeaky, high-pitched "Hi" before Purah frantically began making last minute adjustments to everyone's positions for the picture.

Sidon could feel the warmth in his own cheeks as he stood close to her. The top of her bare arm was touching the back of his hand, and he couldn't help noticing how warm and soft it felt against his scaly, cooler skin.

"Okay everyone, smile! Prince Sidon, hold that garter up higher so I can see it! That's better." She was now standing on a table and looked toward the Sheikah woman. "You, my dear, need to relax, and please smile. That's more like it. Everyone ready? Click, snap!"

Purah took the picture and glanced down at the Sheikah slate, and Sidon quickly turned to leave.

"Not so fast, Mister! I mean, Your Highness! I need a picture of just the two lucky prize winners together!" His stomach flipped again. He was secretly excited about this, but also a little embarrassed.

"One moment, please." Purah was furiously tapping the screen on the slate and was oblivious to what was happening in front of her.

Sidon turned again to look at the young woman, who was still staring at him with rosy cheeks. His thoughts ran wild. That color on your face is just exquisite. In a burst of bravery, he reached for her hand and took it in his, her face only growing redder. "I don't believe we've met before. I'm Prince Sidon." He lifted her hand, still needing to bend his head down slightly to reach her raised hand, and he sweetly kissed the back of it. He thought for a moment she was going to faint. She quickly composed herself and squeaked out a barely audible, "Hello, Y-your Highness. M-my n-name is P-paya." She sweetly curtsied.

"Hi, Papaya, it's nice to meet you." An unusual name, but I like it.

Purah had finally noticed what was happening, and she suddenly shouted at him. "Prince Sidon! It's not Papaya, it's Paya! And she's my great niece, so be nice!"

Sidon immediately felt his cheeks flush. "Forgive me, sweet one. Hello, Paya." An even more beautiful name for a beautiful woman.

Purah suddenly noticed how red Paya and Prince Sidon's cheeks were, and she grinned.

Link whispered suddenly to him. "If she tells you why she's named Paya, try not to ask any further questions." Prince Sidon gave him a confused look and turned to Purah, who was scrambling to get them in position for their picture together, still grinning.

"Put your arm around her, Sidon, and both of you hold up your items. Paya, please remember to smile. Perfect! Click, snap!" Purah took the picture, and she was satisfied. "Thank you, you may move along! Have fun, you two!" Purah dashed away with a wink of her eye to take more pictures.

Paya suddenly felt faint with Sidon's heavily muscled arm still around her, and she started to fall as her vision went black. Prince Sidon easily caught her, given their height difference. The tiny treasure he held in his arms seemed so delicate that he was afraid he might break her.

She stirred and fluttered her eyes open a few seconds later, looking at him, and she smiled, speaking slowly. "Thank you for catching me, Your Highness." They were both surprised she had managed to say it without stuttering. She hadn't felt feelings like this toward anyone except King Link, who was now unavailable forever. Even though the Prince was a Zora, a different race than herself, he was drop-dead gorgeous to her.

"Of course. You're Hylia's perfect work of art, and I would never have allowed you to fall." He immediately put his other hand over his mouth; he hadn't meant to say that out loud.

Paya was now redder than Sidon or anyone had ever seen her, and butterflies danced in her stomach. Did he just say I am Hylia's perfect work of art?

Sidon saw the look on her face and grew concerned. "Are you quite all right, Miss Paya?"

"Y-yes, I-I'm f-fine, thank you."

The Zora prince realized he was still holding her up, and he quickly positioned her upright again.

Link's last comment to him drew his curiosity. "Paya, I love the sound of your name. Where did your name come from?" he wondered aloud.

"W-well…I was born with a birthmark shaped like a papaya seed. Just...don't ask me where it is." She blushed again, covering her face with her hands. Sidon tapped her on the shoulder. "Now you've got me curious."

The young woman peeked at him through her fingers. "Um...I think I'd...uh...like to keep that a mystery, if you don't mind, Your Highness." She was happy she was beginning to stutter less, which gave her just enough bravery to ask a question that was on the tip of her tongue. She took a deep breath and lowered her hands, looking up at him. "Anyway, um...would you...like to dance with me?" Purah managed to look him in the eyes and smile at him when she asked, surprising herself.

"I would love nothing more, but on one condition," he replied.

She looked at him questioningly. "What's that?"

"There is no need to address me as 'Your Highness.' Please just call me Sidon." He was grinning at her charmingly.

She smiled back at him. "Okay, if you insist. M-may I have this dance, S-Sidon?"

He smiled warmly at her and led her by her raised hand to the middle of the dance floor. She was much shorter, so he had to lean down to hold her, but he hardly cared.

Zelda turned around and noticed them dancing. "Look, Link! It looks like Paya found someone after all!"

Link grinned. "I knew she would! And look, his cheeks are as red as Paya's! But how is that supposed to work? She isn't royalty!"

Zelda gave him an amused stare. "She is the granddaughter of a village elder, you know. But you're one to talk, former sworn knight of mine."

Link blushed. "Oh...right."

Zelda smiled, then took Link by the hand to dance next to Sidon and Paya.

Once the song had ended, Sidon looked down at Paya. "Thank you for the pleasure of allowing me to dance with the most beautiful being I've ever laid eyes on."

Paya's stomach flipped. "Th-thank you for s-saying y-yes."

Sidon grinned at her. "Paya, where are you going after the celebrations? I would love to show you Zora's Domain. That is, if you would do me the honor?"

Paya's face lit up. She had always wanted to visit Zora's Domain. Its beautiful hues of cyan architecture she had only seen in pictures were her favorite shades of blue, and she had always wanted to visit its many bridges, lakes, and waterfalls. Her face suddenly fell. "S-Sidon, I-I would love to, b-but I have to go back to K-Kakariko Village with G-Grandmother."

Just then, Impa's voice rang out from behind her. The old woman noticed what was happening with the two of them and overheard the last few minutes of their conversation. "Nonsense, child! I can take care of myself for a while. You and the Zora prince get to know each other. You have my permission." Impa could hardly contain her excitement and smiled kindly at the two of them.

"Really, Grandmother? Thank you!" Paya bent down to hug the old woman, who was sitting in her motorized chair that Purah had invented. Impa turned to Sidon, who also thanked her. You're very welcome, Prince Sidon and Paya. I had always hoped my granddaughter would learn to handle herself around the opposite sex. This is the perfect learning opportunity, and I've always preferred teaching through experience. I will surely miss you though, Paya.

Eventually the wedding festivities ended, and everyone said their goodbyes to Hyrule's king and queen, sending them off in showers of Purah's new invention, "Works of Fire," and handfuls of Korok seeds thrown at them. They were off to Lurelin Village for their week-long honeymoon vacation.

Sidon held Paya's hand as they walked up to Purah, who was in charge of teleporting everyone with the Sheikah slate to their preferred destinations. Muzu and King Dorephan had just teleported back to Zora's Domain ahead of them.

"Step right up. Oh!" Purah exclaimed with a grin, realizing who was approaching. You two are leaving together?" She grinned and pumped her fists, jumping up and down, then cleared her throat. "Sorry about that. Where ya headed? Kakariko Village?"

"Actually, she's coming with me to Zora's Domain."

Purah eyed him seriously. "You remember what I said, Your Highness. She is my great niece. I expect you to take good care of her."

"You have my word, lady Purah."

"Wait, Sidon! I don't have anything with me!" Paya exclaimed.

Sidon turned to her and smiled. "My dear flower, we have everything you possibly would need at Zora's Domain. No need to worry."

Paya's eyes grew wide, and she blushed again. "Really? Thank you, Sidon. That's very generous of you."

"Click, snap! You're holding up the line! Please step forward." Purah furiously tapped the screen of the Sheikah slate and chose Zora's Domain. "Thank you for attending! Have a great evening! Goodbye, now! And remember what I said, Your Highness, or I'll turn you into sushi!"

Paya and Sidon were suddenly awash in bright beams of light blue and instantly found themselves at the travel gate of the shrine in Zora's Domain.

Paya gasped. "Oh S-Sidon, it's more b-beautiful than I ever imagined!"

He beamed at her. "Wait until you see this." He took her by the hand and quickly led her to the town square. Paya's eyes were wide as she took in the sights. She saw the large ornate fountain with Mipha's statue on the front, and she put a hand over her mouth. "Sidon...that statue of Champion Mipha... it's beautiful."

His voice grew sad. "Yes. My dear sister constantly keeps watch over our Domain."

Paya heard the sadness in his voice and clasped his hand, and tried speaking as slowly and clearly as possible. "I'm so sorry, Sidon. Even though I'm much too young to have known her, I grew up hearing my Grandmother's stories. I know she was a very brave Zora, and I know you are making her proud."

Sidon took a deep breath, looking down at her. He was trying not to cry. "Thank you, Miss Paya. Hearing you say that is a balm to my broken heart that terribly misses my dear sister, even after more than a century. Speaking of which...how old are you, Paya?"

"Twenty five."

Sidon breathed a sigh of relief. "We are close in age, in Hylian years then. We Zora age much slower than Hylians. I assume the Sheikah are similar to Hylians?"

Paya nodded, and Sidon led her by the hand up the large blue marble staircase. "There's someone I'd love for you to meet, Paya."

Paya blushed as King Dorephan sitting on his throne came into view. The whale-like Zora king looked intimidatingly majestic to her as they walked closer to him, both because of his size and his height. He smiled down at them, and the older, much shorter dark green Zora standing on the floor to the side in front of the king did the same.

"Your M-Majesty." A trembling Paya managed to curtsy in front of the king, and he nodded kindly toward her.

"Father, this is Paya. Paya, meet my father, King Dorephan. And this is Muzu, the Royal Advisor."

"It is m-my great honor to meet you both," Paya said quietly. Her heart was pounding, but she was relieved she managed not to stutter too badly in front of royalty.

"The pleasure is mine, I assure you, young lady. Stay as long as you would like. Please, enjoy Zora's Domain and all it has to offer," the king told her as he winked in Sidon's direction.

"It's very nice to meet you, Paya," Muzu told her.

King Dorephan smiled warmly. "Now off with the two of you! The hour grows late. I trust she will be sleeping in the Champion's Quarters?"

"Absolutely, Father."

Paya's eyes widened and she gasped, knowing what an honor that was. They waved goodbye as Sidon led a shocked Paya down the large staircase again.

As soon as they were out of sight, King Dorephan turned to Muzu. "You owe me. Pay up." They both were grinning as Muzu pulled a Luminous Stone from his pocket and handed it to the king and sighed. "You win, my king. I never thought the prince would fall for anyone but a Zora, but I suppose it's a family trait." He was smiling, remembering Mipha and knowing his attitude had long changed toward other races.
