Paya and Sidon spent the next three weeks together, with Paya taking near-daily rides on Sidon's back around East Reservoir Lake, with several more trips up and down the many waterfalls of Zora's Domain. He took her to Ploymus Mountain and told her that was where he tried to fight a Lynel single handedly, as a very young Zora. Mipha and Link had to rescue him, but he never forgot how Mipha told him she was proud of him and had a very brave little brother. Paya teared up as he relayed his story, knowing how much Sidon loved and missed his sister.

The Zora were some of the most incredible beings she had ever met, and she never wanted to leave. In Zora's Domain Paya nearly felt as if she were in the Spirit Realm, enjoying an eternity of pure bliss; however, unfortunately for her it would not last for eternity. She knew she must begin thinking about going back to Kakariko Village very soon, much sooner than she would have liked.

After they had finished another day of wild adventure and a second romantic candlelight dinner together at the hands of King Dorephan, that time without a single Blue Nightshade flower in sight, Paya placed her hand in as they sat on the floor together in Mipha's old room.

"What is it, Paya? The color of your face is beautiful, but may I ask what is making you blush?

"Um...I have a slight request."

"Please, ask anything of me."

She paused a moment before speaking. "Would you like to join me for an indoor swim? I mean, in the soaking tub?"

Sidon smiled widely. "I would love to, my dear." He immediately ran to the bathroom and started the faucet while she changed into the bathing suit she had worn off and on since her second day in Zora's Domain.

The Zora prince jumped into the water first, making a large splash that hit the floor of Mipha's old bathroom. He was dressed only in his tights that matched the color of his skin, and she gasped at his completely bare torso that she had never seen before. Even though most of his chest was visible with his armor on, seeing him completely bare on his upper body was a shock to her. His muscles were perfectly toned. Her face still turned red at the sight of him, which Sidon thought was adorable. They playfully talked and laughed together as he held her close in the warm water, until Paya lifted her head to look at him.

"Sidon, my curiosity is getting the better of me. I hope you don't mind me asking a personal question."

"Only on one condition: If you'll allow me to ask you one," he grinned.

"Deal!" Paya paused. "Do you want to have children someday?'

"Yes, I have always wanted children of my own." I especially want them with you, Paya.

A confused look crossed the Sheikah woman's face. "I have one more question, Sidon. What happens when two people of different races have children? So, for example, if...you and I...were to ever...have children, would they be half Zora and half Sheikah?"

"No Paya, they would be one or the other, which as far as we know is completely random. They may take on attributes of the opposite race, such a Sheikah with keen Zora senses or swimming abilities, but as far as what they look like, it's always a random chance of one or the other. You remember the couple Rhondson, the Gerudo, and Hudson, the Hylian, from the Royal Wedding? I overheard her mention that she is expecting a Gerudo vai. The only other exception to the rule besides the Gorons is if a Sheikah has children with a Hylian. Since the races are so close, their children are half-Sheikah and half-Hylian."

"Interesting, Sidon. And from what I understand, the Gorons asexually reproduce since they are all male?"

"Yes, that is correct. The pairings work for all combinations of races with the exception of the Gorons. My understanding is the Goddess made it that way so that all the races would survive and thrive throughout the ages."

"Fascinating!" Paya was lost in thought, trying not to think about someday having children with the prince. She blushed again as those thoughts entered her mind.

"Are you all right my little minnow?"

"I'm perfect, Sidon," Paya replied as she leaned forward, kissing him sweetly on the lips as they sat together in the soaking tub.

"Now it's my turn. Paya, if I may ask, where is your birthmark?" Sidon asked, trying unsuccessfully not to smirk.

Paya squeaked out a high pitched giggle as the question left his lips. "I somehow knew you were going to ask that question. You've been wanting to ask me that for a long time, haven't you?"

"Yes, as a matter of fact. Since the day I met you," Sidon grinned.

Paya smirked at him, and she answered in a burst of bravery. "In the words of my Grandmother, it's smack in the middle of my left butt cheek!" She giggled at the memory of her Grandmother saying those words in front of Link and Zelda, and Sidon's eyes grew wide and his lips curled into a smile.

"Well then, that is a sight I only hope to see someday, sweet one."

Paya playfully smacked Sidon on the arm under the water, laughing.

"Paya, you are my treasure. How did I become so blessed to have you here with me?"

"Sidon...I am the one who is blessed. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be here, and it's all thanks to you, and to Grandmother for allowing it. I thank Hylia every day for you and for her, Sidon. You both are my biggest blessings."

Sidon wrapped her up in his strong arms, holding her inside the tub for several more minutes. The water was starting to grow cold, and Sidon noticed Paya's nails turning blue. He gently lifted her up and out of the water and wrapped her in the softest, warmest towel she had ever felt around her skin. He waited patiently in the bathroom, soaking up the water on the floor with several towels and draining the bathwater. Paya was in the bedroom, changing out of her bathing suit and into a clean nightdress, and she quietly knocked on the bathroom door when she was ready.

He was again dressed in his thin coat of armor and tights, and he gazed down upon her in the new nightdress.

"My dear, that royal blue color suits you perfectly. I think I may have found a new favorite."

"I agree, Sidon. I love the color, and the material is made of the softest silk I have ever felt." She gently guided his hand to her belly so he could feel the soft material.

"Exquisite. And...I'm not talking about the fabric." He grinned at her as her stomach knotted once again, more butterflies dancing within. She took a deep breath before speaking again and led him by the hand to sit with her on the edge of the waterbed. She couldn't stop the tears from falling as she began to speak.

"Sidon, these last several weeks with you here has been a dream come true for me. I never in my life ever thought I would be able to leave Kakariko Village, let alone see Zora's Domain in person. But most of all, I never thought I would find someone, let alone someone as perfect as you. You have made me realize just how amazing this world and this life truly are, simply by being you. That's what makes it that much harder for me to say goodbye."

Her tears were falling now, and Sidon wrapped his arms around her. "My dear Paya, you don't have to leave, but I know you must miss your grandmother terribly. I understand if you have to go back to her." His heart was breaking at the thought of her leaving, but he didn't want her to know.

"Sidon...that's exactly it. I miss Grandmother so much. I must go home and return to her."

Sidon moved from the edge of the bed to kneel in front of her, clasping both of her hands. "My sweet Paya, I will honor your wishes, but please, allow me to ask a favor. Will you stay just two more nights? Selfishly, I want to savor as much time with you as I can, so I understand if you say no—"

"Yes, Sidon. I will gladly stay tonight and tomorrow night."

He beamed at her and wrapped her in his arms for another giant hug, then kissed her goodnight after tucking her into the waterbed. Paya's heart broke thinking about having to leave, and she cried herself to sleep.
