Fudge Ripple And Comfort
Frisk looked up from stirring a pot of stew on the stove as she heard the door slam and Chara's familiar footsteps head towards the kitchen. "Hey, babe!" she called out cheerfully.
"Hey," Chara mumbled as she came into the room, looking absolutely exhausted with a giant coffee stain on her favorite green hoodie. She heavily sat down at the table, burying her head in her hands.
Frisk immediately turned off the stove and hurried to her side, placing a hand on her shoulder. "You okay?"
"Yeah, just...bad day." Chara sighed.
"What happened?"
"Ugh, what DIDN'T happen is a better question." Chara groaned. "First I dropped my coffee before I could drink it, both all over me and all over the office floor, then my stupid computer deleted the document I spent two hours working on. Then one of my stupid coworkers ate MY lunch that had my fucking name on it and I didn't have time to go out and get a new one because of the document issue, so I'm starving."
"I'm sorry," Frisk said sympathetically, rubbing her girlfriend's back. "That really sucks."
"Tell me about it," Chara groaned. "And I can't even drown my sorrows in Chocolate Fudge Ripple because my dumbass self forgot to pick up more."
Frisk smiled. "Check the freezer."
Chara perked up, getting up and going straight to the freezer, opening it up. Her eyes lit up as she pulled out a quart of her favorite ice cream. "You bought some?"
"Yep. I noticed you were out so I picked up some on the way home from work. Figured you could use it." Frisk said with a smile as she dished up some stew for Chara.
Chara smiled for the first time that afternoon. "You're the best. You know that, right?"
"I try," Frisk grinned as Chara pulled her into a kiss.
