She ran, she couldn't stay there anymore. She had to leave. The question : How would she get to England all by herself? And how will she find Narcissa Malfoy? Guess she had to find out for herself. She triple checked her bag. Yes everything she needed was there : her wand, money (muggle and wizarding), photographs, food, water, clothes, a compass, map, books, potion ingredients, owl food and most importantly the notes.
Her brothers and parents were safe. Even though she hated them, she wouldn't have them risk them lives. They couldn't come looking for her. Most importantly, they needed to stay safe. She left them a note anyway. Yes that would satisfy her parents, they never really needed her in the first place.
She pulled her long, blonde hair, with light blue highlights, into a low ponytail. She needed to figure out a way to go without the wind making her loose her sense of vision. She looked at her map. West, she needed to travel left and carry on. The sooner she left this place the better. She'd wrote her goodbyes and everyone knew not to contact her as that would ruin everything. She would miss them but they had to stay safe, well as safe as you could expect at a time like this. I must risk my life for them, give everything up for them. She had to.
She wrapped her necklace around her neck. Other than the photographs, this would be the only thing she had of her home. Home. She never really thought of it like that but she guessed that was what it was, wasn't it. Now she was leaving she was overcome with emotions. This was her entire life she was leaving behind. She almost started crying. Almost. But she must not cry. That wasn't how she was brought up. "Hide you emotions, " she reminded herself. Only babies cried and she wasn't a baby. She was fourteen years old.
Fourteen years old. Most people would say she had her whole life ahead of her. A whole life she might not get to experience. A whole life she would have to sacrifice to the people closest to her. She'd be fine though. Even if she did die, she died trying to make tomorrow a better place. At least she was trying.
She had to make it to England and find her. Even though she wasn't she if she would succeed, she had to help. She must keep them safe. She had to. There was no other choice. They were in danger. "I can do this, " she tells herself. But, just because she says it doesn't mean she believes it. She took a last look around her before putting the map back into her bag. She then ran away into the night.
