J: Yes, handed in my badge and gun.

V: Can't believe it, losing one of my best people.

S: End of an era.

J: I'm also leaving Chicago.

H: I'm not coming with you.

J: What?

H: I'm staying.

S: Wait a minute, this means a divorce, doesn't it.

J and H: Yes.

S: I'm sorry, guys.

J: It's fine, I'll be living somewhere else, let's just say it's comforting.

S: Comforting, (under his breath) Antonio.

V: Adrian, why are you bringing his name up?

S: Halstead said he was going somewhere comforting, Puerto Rico is comforting.

Later

A: Jay, it's been a while.

J: Good to talk again.

A: Great in fact.

J: Listen, Antonio, I'm at the airport, on my way to New York.

A: You're gonna see Erin, aren't you.

J: Yes, I am.

A: Your one love.

J: I gotta go, my flight is boarding.

Landing Jay lands in New York and drives to an unfamiliar place.

Lansing: Can I help you, Detective Halstead.

J: Is Jake available.

Lansing: Jake resigned in September.

J: How about Charles?

Lansing: Yes, Boyle, we have a Jay Halstead who wants to see you.

Charles: Jay, what brings you to New York?

J: Forced to resign from CPD, reuniting with my true love very shortly.

Charles: Wow, that's big.

J: I know.

Charles: Erin's gonna be so happy.

J: Yeah, she is.

Charles: You clearly love her, don't you?

J: With my life.

Charles: Well, good luck and wish Officer Burgess my best, will you.

J: I'll be sure.

Jay gets back in his car and drives to see some very familiar faces.

Carisi: Well, well, well, Jay, we meet again.

J: Sonny, good to see you again.

Benson: Halstead, Voight called earlier, reuniting with Lindsay from what I understand.

J: Yep, Benson, I am.

Benson: I'll call some friends, tell them you're visiting their units.

J: Copy that.

Jay gets back in the car and heads to Organized Crime.

Bell: You must be Detective Halstead, I'm Sergeant Bell, this is Detective Stabler.

Elliot: Jay, Liv warned me you we're coming, I warned a friend you were coming to his unit.

J: Nice to meet you, Stabler.

Elliot: This is Jet.

Jet: Halstead, heard a lot of good things about you.

J: Figured.

Elliot: And Blair.

J: Miss Warner, you used to work with Sloan.

Blair: I did, for a very long time.

J: How's your husband.

Blair: Tad's good, thanks for asking.

J: Nice to meet you all.

Jay gets back in the car and drives to an unfamiliar place once again.

Mac: Detective Jay Halstead, I'm Detective Mac Taylor, this is Danny Messer.

Danny: Halstead, nice to meet you, my wife Lindsay Monroe.

Lindsay: Your Erin is a good woman, Halstead.

Flack: Mac, the evidence has airtight-, who is this?

J: Detective Jay Halstead.

Flack: Don Flack, nice to meet you.

Mac: Elliot said some good things about you.

J: That's good.

Mac: You probably know a lot of people here, CSI, SVU, Organized Crime, 9-9, et cetera.

J: That's true.

Mac: We have a case to work and you have someone to reunite with.

J: That's true.

Mac: I'll see you next time.

J: Thanks, goodbye.

Mac: Bye.

It came time for Jay to reunite with the love of his life, Erin Lindsay.

J: Come on, Jay, don't be nervous.

Jay knocks on a door and when it opens the person who responds has a shocked look on her face.

E: Jay, what brings you to New York?

J: You.

E: Why me?

J: I was forced to resign from CPD.

E: I'm sorry.

J: Erin, I never got over you, I still love you a lot.

E: I was heartbroken when I had to leave because it meant leaving you, I loved you, still do.

He then kisses her passionately.

E: You're living in New York?

J: Yes.

E: Benson, Stabler, Lansing and Taylor, all good people.

J: Yes, and good people in their units.

They kiss again and Erin then leads him to her bedroom.

The following day

J: Hey.

E: Morning, babe.

J: I'm glad I came here last night.

E: So am I.

In Chicago

S: Just got off the phone, Halstead's in New York.

V: Probably spent the night with Erin, warned Liv he was coming.

S: Smart.

H: Boyle, Lindsay and Monroe are all there and in September, Decker transferred.

S: Decker's there now, I did not know that.

H: Yeah, she's 9-9.

In New York

E: It's good that you came here.

J: Yeah, if you weren't here, I wouldn't have come here.

E: Makes sense, I do love you a lot.

J: Love you too.

They kiss again in bed.
