Hermione entered the Burrow without knocking, Molly had insisted many years ago that there was no need to knock, something Hermione still struggled with. The delicious smell of home baked tarts filled the home and Hermione followed the sweet scent to the kitchen.
"Molly," she smiled taking in the older woman who had red hearts pinned to her outfit.
"Hermione, how wonderful to see you," the redhead greeted. pulling her into her arms, Hermione smiled, returning her hug.
"Do you know what Fred has planned," she asked the older woman, Molly smiled at her sweetly.
"I do indeed, but I won't tell you, it's a surprise I hope you'll love," she told her, Hermione nodded in understanding.
"Do you have a clue for me then, to send me on my way," she asked.
"It's in the tarts," the older woman said gesturing to the kitchen table on the far side of the room.
"That's a lot of tarts," she commented as she approached the table that was filled with rows of the delicious treat. Hermione stood looking down at them, smiling as she saw that atop of the rich berries, little pastry letters spelled out her next clue:
No need to steel, mum will send you away with her tarts, as you return to the place where you stole my heart.
"Where I stole his heart," she asked quietly, pondering over the sentence. She remembered then something Fred had told her after she agreed to date him, "Thank Merlin, you know I was getting worried, you stole my heart back at Hogwarts, I don't know what I'd have done, if you'd said no again," he'd told her as they sat in a smoky drinking area inside a muggle club, a few months after the war.
"Hogwarts," she asked Molly, the older woman nodded, holding out a tub filled with bumbleberry tarts and other treats to her.
"You have a busy day ahead of you, Minerva is waiting for you," she told her, Hermione accepted the food, giving the redhead a hug before making her way to the living room where she used the large fire to floo to Hogwarts.
