Chapter One: Realization

Note: Hi everyone, this is my very first PowerPuff Girl's fanfiction based on the classic's series, enjoy! If you see any typos, I blame Mojo-Jojo!

It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Townsville as the girls fought against their rivals, the RowdyRuff Boys on a once busy road which had to be evacuated before the fight started. Bubbles was busy playing with Boomer with a toy car on the footpath nearby, while her sisters were busy fighting Butch and Brick.

"You know, there's more to life than being evil, boys. Being the good guys is really rewarding" Blossom informed Brick as she tackled him to the ground.

"Oh yeah? It's better being evil 'cause people fear you and you get to destroy stuff and people allow it" Brick retorted, pushing her off him as he threw a punch, which Blossom dodged.

"Is that what you really want, to be evil all your life? Think of it guys, you could do so much better in your life. People would love you!" Blossom told him, she took a glance at her sisters, Bubbles was playing with Boomer with their toy car while Buttercup and Butch fought, she was surprised to see Boomer playing rather than fighting.

"Love is for the weak and Mojo-Jojo told me it was gross" Brick responded poking his tongue out at her. "Reminds me of the time that you kissed us yuck! Surprised we didn't get cooties!"

"Cooties don't exist - we thought they did but we learned they don't. Love is a good thing though, Brick. Mojo-Jojo is wrong. Shame that the Professor didn't make you guys, you would've been so good to work with!" Blossom said, as Brick attacked her.

"Mojo's right, you girls really are stupid if you think we're going to fall for that... Butch, Boomer, let's go!" Brick called his brothers who at once stopped fighting. Brick received a black eye from Buttercup though, Boomer didn't appear to be hurt, instead, he was holding something in his hands and hid it from his brothers.

"Bubbles, did you give Boomer something?" Buttercup asked after the three boys had left.

Smiling, Bubbles nodded. "Yes. I gave him a toy car. While you four were busy fighting, he and I were playing together with our cars and action figures" she told him.

"Since when was Boomer nice?" Buttercup asked in disbelief. She had received a bruised arm from Butch though it didn't bother her.

"He and I secretly became friends today... Oops!" Bubbles quickly covered her mouth.

"I'm trying to convince Brick that the three should become good - they have so much potential! They could be like us. It's a pity Professor didn't make them" Blossom told her. The three girls left to go home, wondering what the boys were going to do. "The two of you became friends? I'm jealous! How did you do it?" she asked her sister in surprise.

"I gave him a toy car to distract him, and the two of us began playing on the footpath instead of fighting" Bubbles said smiling as she recalled the event.

"I gave Butch a black eye... But a car? I didn't think the boys would be interested in something that simple!" Buttercup said wondering what Butch would be interested in. "Maybe Butch would be interested in those toy army figurines? It's a pity they're not on our side, they'd help out a great lot with crime!"

"I was SO close to defeating her, Brick, SO close!" Butch complained referring to defeating Buttercup - however, he was wrong. His eye ached where she had punched him.

"At least you got somewhere... Blossom kept saying how good it is to be nice and love others rather than destroying stuff! She says we should be the good guys too" Brick said then laughed - Butch laughed too, however, Boomer seemed amused with a toy car.

"Maybe being nice is a good thing, guys?" Boomer suggested, earning a punch from Butch.

"What are you, stupid or something? We don't DO nice. We're evil. E-V-L!" Butch snapped misspelling the word.

"Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it's spelt E-V-Y-L" Brick attempted to correct him.

"You're both wrong. Its E-V-I-L! But do you see us being that throughout our lives?" Boomer said, wondering what his future would hold. He wondered if his brothers and himself will be committing crimes when they're adults.

"DUH! It's what we do the best" Butch said, earning a laugh from Butch who then stopped for a moment.

"Why don't we give being nice a try for a week? To see if we can do it?" Boomer suggested.

"No" Butch and Brick both said, punching him on the arm for the suggestion. Boomer let out a sigh.

"Fine, let's go home, your eye looks painful" Brick said. Butch nodded to his response, his eye was sore, but he ignored the pain. He could still see out of it.

The three boys flew off to Mojo-Jojo's with Brick thinking about what Blossom had said. He couldn't get it out of his mind. 'What if she's right?' he thought, imagining what life would be like on the other side. He stopped for a moment and looked at his brothers.

"I'm starting to wonder if we really are in the wrong, guys. Think about it, like Boomer said, do we really want to be bad for the rest of our lives? As we grow up and do more bad stuff?" Brick asked, feeling worried for his future. "Right now, we're five but when we grow older and continue doing crimes, we might end up in jail!" he gulped at that thought. "Just like Mojo-Jojo has done multiple times."

Butch and Boomer looked at one another then at Brick.

"Then what would we do now, Brick? How can we do this good stuff? It seems hard since we were created to do evil" Butch asked wondering what life could be like if they were good.

"We could ask that Professor Utonium for our help? Whether he'd give us the help we need or not, is a different story..." Brick suggested.

"Finally, someone agrees with me. Are we going to give it a try then?" Boomer asked.

"I guess, it wouldn't hurt for one week... If we like it, we can keep it up, if not, we'll do bad stuff again..." Brick said.

"Now where do we go?" Butch asked.

"We'll go to their house, they'd most likely be home and maybe they can help us? If we went to Mojo-Jojo, he'd laugh at us!" Brick told them. After that, the three made their way to The PowerPuff Girl's home.
