A/N Hey guys, welcome to my first That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime story and I'm interested in doing this story since the idea was in my head for a while so it'll start off like all the other stories I've read, where the OC dies and is reincarnated in that fantasy world as something else before becoming a part of Rimuru's group.
This story is pretty much going to follow a person who is basically going to be Rimuru's second in command who will be in charge of the Jura Tempest Federation's military and be the troops' field commander, also being the alpha of the Tempest Wolves but you'll be surprised to know that the OC will be reincarnated as a Changeling from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
I always wanted to use that alien race for something and I could never figure out what to use them in until now, so why not Tensura where someone is reincarnated as one? Nobody had used that concept from what I could discover so I guess I'm the first one to come up with the idea.
Well, time to get started so without further ado, enjoy.
I stormed across the parking lot after leaving Walmart, feeling pissed at my asshole boss for being nastier than usual so I have no idea what crawled up his ass and died, but he just got up in my face and really shouted in a way I have never seen him do before just because I made a small mistake.
Either way, I was in a very poor mood and just wanted to go home and take a nap after the bad day I had so maybe Lisa would understand if I explained what happened, then I felt a little better as I thought about my wife and thought about getting her something since our one-year anniversary is coming up soon.
I had made it to my car and got in while I was wondering what to get her for our anniversary, starting the car and backing out of the parking space before driving away from Walmart as I let out a tired sigh and focused on driving home for the time being.
Sadly, much to my dismay, I got stuck in a traffic jam and had to wait for an hour since there was apparently some kinda accident that occurred up the road and while the driver was okay, the car had to be towed so it took an hour for the tow truck to get to the scene of the accident and tow the wrecked car away before police let everyone through, which didn't help my poor mood at all.
Finally, I was relieved to make it back home since I just wanted to relax and just take my mind off of the shitty day I just had as I parked my car in the driveway and got out, walking up to the front door as I noticed that Lisa's car was also in the driveway so at least that makes me feel slightly better as I unlocked the front door and went inside.
I went to see if Lisa was in the living room but she wasn't and I checked the kitchen and her downstairs office, but she wasn't in any of those places so I assumed that she might be upstairs and I went up the stairs to find her so that I could let her know that I was home.
While I was on the second floor, I noticed the bedroom door was closed and I thought that I could hear muffled sounds on the other side, which confused me at first as I got closer to the door until I pressed my ear against the door and froze from hearing my wife let out moans that were muffled because of the door, but it was the sounds of male groans that got my attention and I quickly unlocked the door before bursting in.
I just stood there in shock and disbelief as I saw my own wife having sex with our neighbor and my good friend Sam as they didn't notice me since they were busy at the moment, but it was the pain of betrayal and horror that hit me while I was watching Lisa cheating on me when Sam turned his head and spotted me before his eyes widened as he stopped thrusting, which causes Lisa to look confused until she noticed that Sam wasn't looking at her and she turned to look at me before she gasped.
"Lisa...what the hell is this?" I questioned quietly as I was trembling and struggling to understand what I was looking at as Sam quickly got off of Lisa and covered himself up.
"S-Scott, I can explain," Lisa stuttered and that's when my shock and disbelief turned into rage and despair.
"No need, it's quite clear what I'm looking at," I said while my expression turned completely livid.
"Scott-" Lisa tried to say but I cut her off.
"Just don't, how could you do this to me?! I loved you and this is how you repay that, by cheating on me with my own best friend?! I can't believe you would fucking do this to me!" I screamed and Lisa flinched at my tone of voice but I could care less about that.
"Scott, take it easy," Sam tried to reason but I sent him a glare of pure rage.
"Shut the fuck up before I knock your teeth out, asshole! I was your friend in high school and you just decided to stab me right in the goddamn back so fuck you, fuck both of you for doing this to me!" I yelled in complete outrage before I turned around and started to leave.
"Scott, wait!" Lisa called out and I sent her a murderous glare.
"Go to hell, you cheating bitch! You two deserve each other so expect a divorce pretty soon!" I snarled before I removed my wedding ring and tossed it at her, then I stormed out of the bedroom and slammed the door shut.
I couldn't stay in this place so I needed to leave and just go somewhere, anywhere, to put some distance between me and those backstabbing pieces of shit or I might wind up doing something stupid if I didn't because I wasn't thinking straight at the moment.
I left the house and quickly went to my car, getting in and starting it before quickly backing out of the driveway and driving away from the house while I was feeling a combination of betrayal, rage, despair, and hopelessness as I started hitting my fist on the steering wheel and letting out a scream to express how I was feeling.
I couldn't believe that I was so blind and unaware that my own wife was having an affair behind my back so I guess that she never loved me in the first place since she decided to do that with another guy, but the worst part was that the guy she was having an affair with was my own neighbor and close friend.
That hurt so much that it made my eyes well up and tears started running down my cheeks as I broke out sobbing from the pain of what just happened so I don't think I'll ever trust anyone again, not after getting betrayed in the worst way.
My vision was blurry from crying so much that there was a blob moving onto the road, snapping me out of my misery and nothing but panic flooded my system as I swerved out of the way of whatever it was when I found myself on the wrong side of the road and there was a semi-truck blaring its horn as I was about to crash right into it.
I managed to swerve out of the way in time but the back end of my car got clipped and I found myself spinning out of control as I slammed my feet on the brakes, then the car crashed through the guardrail and I breathed heavily while I felt nothing but pure terror as the car went into the air.
Pretty soon, the car crashed into the ground and I found myself getting thrown around since I wasn't wearing my seatbelt as the car rolled down what I assumed was a hill, glass shattering and metal getting smashed to pieces but just when I thought it would never end, the car suddenly stopped against something as the roof dented and my side collided against the ceiling.
The car was on its side and so was I as I couldn't move, nothing but pure agony the only sensation I could feel right now as I found myself drifting off more than once when I heard someone calling out to me frantically and it caused me to regain my awareness enough to see someone looking through the windshield that was mostly cracked.
I couldn't hear what he was saying since it was muffled because of my ears constantly ringing but I did see the guy taking out his phone and calling someone, possibly an ambulance and maybe even the fire department since I was trapped in here and special equipment would be needed to get me out of here.
Everything hurt so bad and the hot pain was so bad that I wished that I couldn't feel it anymore, then I could've sworn that I heard a voice of some kind as everything was getting dim and I vaguely noticed that it was getting cold, which wasn't a good sign since that meant I was losing too much blood so I wanted the sensation to go away and I heard the voice again so I must be hallucinating or something.
Everything kept growing dimmer and dimmer while I wished that I could've lived happily since I had a whole life ahead of me when I heard the voice again until it all went black and it was like I was floating in an abyss of darkness.
I had no idea how much time had gone by but I noticed that I wasn't in any pain anymore, but something was wrong since I couldn't feel any of my limbs and it was like I was stretched out for some reason when I seemed to become more aware until I can see again.
I started examining everything and felt uneasy when I saw that I was in some kind of cavern with grass and other kinds of plants that I didn't recognize, which told me that I wasn't in a hospital but why did I feel strange? What was even more bizarre was the fact that I could somehow see everything all around me in a 360-degree angle and I felt spread out for some reason.
Still, I couldn't just lay here so I need to investigate where I am and how I got here so I focused on getting up and I started rising but something was wrong as I wobbled too much until I collapsed and I could've sworn that I heard a strange sloshing and sliding noise.
'Shit...okay, um, I guess I'll crawl for now,' I thought as I started crawling.
What I noticed while I was crawling is that I was moving as if I had no limbs and it was like I was sliding instead of crawling, which unnerved me so I really needed to find a mirror or something since this wasn't right as the slight liquidy sounds also clued me in on how something was wrong.
'Okay, it's like I have no limbs, I'm moving smoothly even though I have no limbs, and I'm hearing slight sloshing sounds while I'm moving so what the hell is going on?' I thought as I started pondering what was happening when I began to theorize what was going on and started coming to a kind of realization.
From everything I was learning so far, it appears that I might've died in the accident and woke up here but it's starting to look like that I may not be human anymore and that made me uneasy, which is why I need to find something that can show my reflection so that I can see myself to confirm it.
Lucky for me there was a lake nearby that I noticed earlier so I moved over to it and tried to rise up to see my reflection, then I caught a glimpse of what I'd possibly become, and what I could tell is that I'm the color dark gold and my body doesn't seem to be solid so I was some kind of slime creature?
That would explain why everything seemed different but my new body looked familiar and I don't know why so I started thinking back to the many MMORPG games I've played and the many sci-fi TV shows I've watched and most didn't come to mind as the creatures in them didn't match my new appearance.
Just then, I recalled Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and if I had eyes, they would've widened in shock as my gooey form rippled from the realization of what I'd become, which was a changeling from that show and while I was stunned by that, I felt astonishment more than anything at the knowledge that I might've become a member of an alien race of shapeshifters that doesn't seem to have a limit when it comes to taking on various forms.
If I was right, then that means I can become human again so I started concentrating as I pictured what my human form looked like, where I was a 20-year-old male who had short blond hair that reached my neck, blue eyes, and pale skin while I also just pictured wearing casual clothes and had an average build.
My form rippled as I focused on becoming human and I slightly rose up into a large column but suddenly melted back into a puddle of slime, and every single attempt I made had the same result so I started feeling frustrated when something occurred to me.
'Wait, in that one episode, Odo was teaching an infant changeling how to change shape and it took a while before it started mimicking his face so maybe it's the same thing here, only I'm not used to this body instead.
If that's the case, then it'll be a while before I can take on more complex shapes such as fire or inanimate objects so that makes sense because I think a changeling doesn't take on a human form for a while at a young age, which means that I'll need to practice first so that I can get used to this new form and be experienced in shapeshifting,' I thought and I would've nodded if I had a head, but I don't so that sucks.
Suddenly, I spotted something going into the water and I didn't get a good look at it but what I could tell was that it was blue and round so I figured that it was nothing and wondered if there was an exit to this place, which I hoped so since it would really suck if I was trapped here forever and I became lost in thought after that.
After pondering for a short while, I decided to have a look around and see if I could find an exit so I was about to ooze away from the lake when the water in front of me started bubbling and I was confused at first when a dark shape started rapidly approaching the surface.
Before I could react, the dark shape went flying out of the water and I recognized it as the blue and round object I saw earlier, only I was up close this time and recognized it as a slime, one of the weakest monsters in RPG games as it went flying past me from above and I swore that I heard it screaming in alarm as it flew away.
I decided to investigate the creature so I quickly slid across the ground to chase after it and I have to admit that it was weird moving like this but that's another thing I suppose I would have to get used to until I become human again.
I soon caught up to the slime, which had a dent in it but I doubt that hurt it since it didn't appear to be affected by it, though it didn't have a face so I wasn't sure as I cautiously approached the slime since I didn't know if it was hostile or not, then I nudged against the slime to get its attention since it hadn't noticed me before it recoiled.
"Whoa, who are you?!" the slime exclaimed but it didn't have a mouth so I have no idea how I can hear it talk, though slimes didn't talk in RPG games and I suspect that this one might be a former human like I am.
"Um, hello? Can you understand me?" I asked but I didn't have a mouth so I didn't know if I was speaking or not.
"Holy crap, and you can talk so that's pretty cool," the slime said curiously.
"Yeah, uh, I'm pretty sure slimes can't talk so unless the two of us learned how to speak, then I doubt we're normal slimes," I pointed out and the slime paused at that until it perked up.
"You're right, and while it's difficult to see what you look like, you're definitely a little unusual for a slime so I have a question," the slime told me.
"Okay, ask away," I replied.
"Did you used to be human and died before finding yourself in this place while looking like that?" the slime questioned and I have a feeling I knew where he was going with this.
"Yeah, did you used to be human as well?" I inquired.
"Yep, I used to be human as well before I died and found myself in this place while having the appearance of a slime," the slime answered and I hummed thoughtfully.
"I see, looks like we both wound up here in completely new bodies after dying, and if you don't mind me asking, how did you die?" I asked and the slime seemed to pause at that before he sighed.
"Some guy stabbed me and I bled to death, you?" the slime inquired.
"Was in a car accident and it wasn't pretty," I said while thinking about the events that led to me getting into that situation and I felt bitter at the fact that I died a shitty death after having a bad day at work and catching my wife cheating on me with my best friend, my ex-best friend now I suppose.
"Geez, I imagine it wasn't so what are you? You're different than a regular slime," the slime pointed out.
"I was reincarnated as a changeling from the TV show Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," I replied and the slime hummed in thought.
"That doesn't sound familiar but then again, I mostly read manga or watch anime," the slime said.
"Well, in the show, a changeling is an alien shapeshifter and their natural form is the one that's right next to you right now, though they can take on a variety of forms that range from solids, liquids, gasses, and even plasma or fire," I explained and the slime jerked back from that.
"Seriously?! That's awesome, so you can be human again if you wanted to," the slime told me.
"Yeah, I can but I've tried that and it didn't work so I think it's because I'm not used to this new form yet so I'll need to practice first before I'll be able to become human again, which might not be for a while," I stated.
"Good point, and I realize that I don't know your name so who are you?" the slime asked.
"Scott Jameson, you?" I questioned and the slime hummed thoughtfully.
"You're American so nice to meet you, I'm Satoru Mikami," Satoru replied.
"Good to meet you too, so how about we get out of here since we should probably figure out where we are first," I suggested and Satoru seemed to agree with that.
"Yeah, let's go," Sotaru said and we started to leave.
"You two, can you hear me, small ones?" a deep booming male voice spoke, causing me and Satoru to freeze at that.
"Um, you heard that...right?" I asked hesitantly.
"Yeah, what was that?" Satoru wondered uneasily.
"Hey, it's rude to just ignore me so you two had best answer me," the voice said irritably as I tried to figure out where that was coming from when I spotted a massive dragon surrounded by what appeared to be a transparent dome of some kind and my form violently rippled to express how startled I was while Satoru also spotted the large dragon.
'Holy shit, how the fuck did we not notice this guy?! Jesus, he's huge!' I thought in disbelief while Satoru had a more verbal reaction.
"Easier said than done because we don't have mouths to talk with, genius," Satoru grumbled and I was about to reprimand him for showing attitude to someone much bigger than we were when I wasn't given the chance.
"Hey!" the dragon shouted in indignation and that startled me but Satou started appearing irritated.
"Hey, stop shouting, baldy!" Satoru retorted and I was trying hard not to panic.
"Satoru, would you not piss this guy off?! Look at the size of him because all he has to do is simply step on us if you keep pissing him off!" I scolded and Satoru flinched at my tone of voice but then I was surprised to hear the dragon laughing in amusement.
"You dare call me baldy so one of you are bold, for a slime," the dragon said before he started roaring and Satoru started letting out a panicked scream while the cavern began to shake.
"Great job, you dumbass! Now we're both gonna fucking die a second time!" I shouted at the former human and got ready to try and escape but the dragon stopped roaring and he didn't come after us, which confused the hell out of me.
"I was trying to be hospitable because it's been a while since my last visitor, but perhaps you both have a death wish," the dragon growled and that scared the hell out of me while Satoru also sounded scared.
"Um, Satoru, maybe it would be a really good idea to apologize to this guy before he decides to kill us," I suggested uneasily.
"Hey man, I'm really sorry so I didn't know you could read my mind or whatever and I don't have eyes or a mouth so I'm literally in the dark here," Satoru whimpered nervously and the dragon let out a booming laugh, though I didn't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing.
"Um, why the hell are you laughing?" I asked tentatively and the dragon looked down at me.
"Because I thought he was brave to call me baldy after seeing me, though it turns out that he's blind so let me bestow sight upon him but there are a few small conditions first," the dragon huffed and that got Satoru's attention.
"Uh, depends on the conditions," Satoru said warily.
"They're fairly simple, so you must promise not to fear me when you gain the ability to see and I'd like you two to come and visit sometime, that's all so are those terms agreeable to you?" the dragon asked and I was completely puzzled by that since I was expecting something really bad.
"Wait, is that seriously it?" Satoru questioned in confusion and I was surprised to see the dragon looking sheepish, almost embarrassed.
"Yes...you see, small one, I was sealed in this cave 300 years ago and ever since then, I had nothing to do other than be exceptionally bored so do we have a deal?" the dragon asked, then I started feeling bad for the poor guy since I couldn't imagine going through something like that so I realized that he wasn't really going to hurt us, just someone who's really lonely and wanted a friend.
"Well, I'm kinda curious about the whole seal thing but whatever, you got a deal," Satoru agreed and the dragon perked up.
"Excellent, there is a skill called magic sense so can either of you use it?" the dragon inquired and I hummed thoughtfully.
"Honestly, I can see you just fine so I probably already have that or my body gives me excellent vision," I answered while Satoru seemed uncertain, judging from his body language.
"I don't know what it is," Satoru said.
"It allows you to sense the magicules around you," the dragon replied and I thought that was useful since it would help a blind person see where they were going, though I assume magicules are the inhabitants of this world or maybe something else entirely.
"So, if I could detect those magicules, I'd be able to see? Alright, I'll give it a shot," Satoru said before he started grunting, then a short time passed by until he let out a gasp as he appeared to be looking around so I assume that he achieved the skill magic sense as he bounced around and cheered before going over to the lake to look at his reflection until he soon came back.
'You know, this reminds me of an RPG game more than anything else,' I thought as Satoru turned to look at me and he gasped.
"Scott, you do look different than other slimes so you must be right when you said that you were a changeling," Satoru said and I rippled slightly.
"Yeah, now let's continue our conversation with the big guy since I imagine he wants to know how you are adjusting to your new vision," I suggested and the dragon cleared his throat.
"How did it go?" the dragon asked and Satoru went to look at him, then he started freaking out.
"Holy crap, you're a dragon?!" Satoru exclaimed in alarm while quickly backing away and the dragon simply gestured for him to come back, causing the former human to cautiously slide back to where we were.
"Allow me to formally introduce myself, I am Veldora and I am known as the Storm Dragon," Veldora told us and I started feeling a little uneasy since that title didn't sound good.
"Uh, that sounds pretty serious," I pointed out and Veldora turned his gaze at me.
"I am one of only four true dragons that exist in this world," Veldora declared before he let out a booming laugh that shook everything around me and Satoru until Veldora added, "Hey, don't forget our deal, slimes."
"Uh, why would we do that? It's not like we're scared or anything so we should go since we need to find a way out of here," I said nervously while Satoru and I started to inch away from Veldora since now I was starting to consider that maybe there was a reason this guy was sealed up in here and I doubt it was anything good.
"Hold it, something is amiss because slimes are normally low-ranged monsters that do not think, yet you two seem intelligent and one of you doesn't look like any slime I've ever seen before so are you two unique?" Veldora questioned, making me and Satoru freeze up until we turned to face the large dragon.
"I honestly don't know what that means," Satoru stated.
"It refers to a being of extraordinary abilities," Veldora clarified and I hummed thoughtfully.
"We might be, but I'm not sure about that because the truth is that we used to be human but Satoru got stabbed to death and I died in an accident before we found ourselves here looking the way we are now," I explained, hoping that would satisfy Veldora's curiosity since making him angry was the last thing I needed right now.
"Yes, I see...you two are reincarnated," Veldora said thoughtfully.
"I guess, and now I'm living my life as a slime monster while Scott here is now living his life as some fictional alien shapeshifter called a changeling," Satoru confirmed and Veldora hummed at that.
"It is very unusual for someone to come into this world that way, especially two," Veldora pointed out and I was puzzled by that.
"What do you mean by that?" I questioned in confusion.
"Occasionally, there are others who come here from a different world but you two are the first I know of that had been reincarnated here because most beings are unable to withstand having their soul traverse worlds," Veldora explained and I was surprised to hear that so that meant there was a good chance Satoru and I might not be the only people from our world to arrive here.
"Wait, so there are other people who come here from other worlds but never through reincarnation?" Satoru asked and Veldora nodded.
"We call them otherworlders and I've heard that they gain special abilities based on their desires when they cross into this land," Veldora replied and that was pretty interesting to hear so it did explain a few things, actually.
"Yeah, that makes sense and it explains why Satoru and I had gained our individual skills, so I wonder if people from our home countries are here as well," I muttered thoughtfully and that caught Satoru's attention.
"You know, I think we should go and find these otherworlders," Satoru suggested and I would've nodded if I could but I didn't have a head right now, though I saw Veldora looking a bit hesitant.
"What's this, you two are leaving so soon?" Veldora questioned and I was taken aback at how he was basically pouting, which made him less threatening and more like a little kid who has to say goodbye to a close friend.
"Well, I suppose we could stay a little bit longer since we do have all the time in the world now," I said sheepishly and was startled at the sight of Veldora quickly looking at us and appearing very excited.
"Excellent, please stay for as long as you both like!" Veldora exclaimed happily and I felt like sweatdropping right now.
'Jesus, this guy is really that desperate to have a friend or some kind of interaction with somebody else, not surprising since he's been sealed up in this place for 300 years but what does have me surprised is that he hasn't gone insane from being alone for that long,' I thought as I sighed.
"Oh yeah, didn't you mention something earlier about how you were sealed in this cave?" Satoru inquired and Veldora dipped his draconic head as a way of nodding.
"Yes, it's a great story so it was 300 years ago, where I sorta...accidentally...burned down an entire town," Veldora told us and I rippled to express my confusion.
"How the hell do you accidentally burn down an entire town?" I questioned and Veldora flinched slightly, raising my suspicions since his reaction to my question told me that what happened to the town he mentioned might not have been an accident.
"A-Anyway, someone came to slay me and it's possible that I might've underestimated my opponent so halfway through the battle, I started using my full strength and I still lost," Veldora continued as if he hadn't heard me.
"Seriously? You seem like a pretty strong dude so was your opponent super powerful?" Satoru inquired.
"Yes, extremely powerful and the humans called her a hero, blessed with divine protection," Veldora replied and judging from his tone, he wasn't lying about that so I hummed thoughtfully.
"A blessed hero...huh, sounds like something out of a fantasy video game or something," I muttered as I was wondering if other people in this new world might be as powerful as this blessed hero Veldora was talking about.
"Using her unique skill, she overpowered me in battle and then sealed me away using unlimited imprisonment," Veldora finished and I suppose that answers my question as to why he was surrounded by that transparent dome.
"Is that shiny stuff her unlimited imprisonment spell?" Satoru asked.
"Yes, though you two should know that the hero referred to herself as something called a summon," Veldora informed us and that caught my attention.
"A summon? I know what a summon is since I've played plenty of MMORPG games but is that supposed to be different than an otherworlder here?" I questioned.
"It requires more than 30 mages to perform a ritual that takes several days before they bring someone here," Veldora replied and Satoru let out an excited gasp.
"Sweet, you guys have mages here?! This is starting to sound more like a game!" Satoru exclaimed excitedly and I would've sent him a weird look if I had a face since this wasn't exactly a game.
"The summon is expected to perform as a powerful weapon," Veldora said and that caught my attention.
"A powerful weapon?" I questioned and Veldora lowered his head.
"Yes, for the summoner because they use magic to carve a curse into the summon's soul so that way, they can never defy their master," Veldora clarified and I was appalled to hear that since what he said was most definitely a form of slavery.
"Jesus Christ, that sounds like outright slavery so that's seriously fucked up," I admitted while sounding disgusted from hearing that summons in this world are nothing but slaves so talk about horrible.
"I agree, that's just wrong on so many levels," Satoru agreed while Veldora looked slightly surprised as if he didn't know what to make of our reactions.
"Is it? I'm not sure what your world was like, but in this world, the only thing that matters is survival of the fittest," Veldora stated.
"I see...so, you've been trapped in this cave ever since that hero sealed you here 300 years ago?" I questioned.
"That is correct, and I am so incredibly bored," Veldora replied while slumping slightly.
'Jesus, I'm still surprised that he hasn't lost his mind because of being alone and isolated for that long, but now that I think about it, what's to say he already isn't insane from that?' I thought and that made me wary just as Satoru perked up.
"Hey, what if the two of us became friends with you?" Satoru asked and Veldora widened his eyes in shock.
"Are you serious?! Me, the mighty storm dragon Veldora becoming friends with a lowly slime and a lowly changeling?!" Veldora roared, causing me and Satoru to flinch since he sounded very offended by the offer.
"Yeah, it was a stupid idea so please don't get pissed at us!" I exclaimed in alarm as I prepared to make a run for it just in case this guy decided to shoot fire at us.
"Now hold on, I never said I didn't want to," Veldora told us while looking away.
"So, uh, does that mean you're cool with it?" Satoru asked tentatively.
"I suppose...I could make an exception so just this once I am willing to consider it," Veldora said and I doubt that Satoru was happy to hear that.
"Seriously, playing hard to get?! Fine, that settles it then so we're friends unless you'd rather hang out here alone," Satoru said and Veldora quickly looked at him.
"No, I wouldn't so today is your lucky day, we'll be friends!" Veldora exclaimed frantically and I felt like sweatdropping at that.
"Uh, whatever makes you feel better about it, I suppose...so, how do we shake on it? Satoru and I don't exactly have any hands," I pointed out and Veldora blinked at that.
"Well, you two could try creating tentacles or something to that effect," Veldora told me and I felt like facepalming since changelings can form tendrils or tentacles in their natural forms so I feel really stupid right now for forgetting that.
"Oh yeah..." I trailed off and just sighed before I focused when a medium-sized tentacle started taking shape from my mass and I slowly moved it around to test the waters so to speak.
I could see a protrusion appearing on Satoru's body that could act like an arm when he reached out, prompting Veldora to do the same with a single claw until they touched and I don't know why, but Satoru seemed embarrassed for some reason judging by his body language.
Once they were done, Veldora moved his claw over to me and I wrapped my tentacle around it before he moved his claw up and down as a form of handshake to make our new friendship official so I didn't know what was waiting for me down the road in this new life of mine, but I get the feeling that it would be quite interesting indeed.
A/N Well guys, looks like Scott and Rimuru had made a new friend so things are going to get quite interesting down the road for the two of them and you'll know what I'm talking about if you've all seen the anime or read the manga.
Well, let me know what you think and stay tuned.
