AN: To Explain these: I am posting my writings for 31 Days of 31 Stories. For 31 days in August and January, I am writing a short story set to a prompt. All of these stories are set in worlds that I have been writing on for the last little while. For a long while in some cases. Each story will have the story world in them though. So please, be patient with me.
"You...are going to die a very slow and painful death, Nino Lahiffe," Marinette groaned as she clung to the trashcan with a fresh liner it in. Chloe rubbed her back, smiling softly at her lover.
"No I'm not," Nino said, handing his wife her cup of tea when she was finally able to stop gagging at every little scent that reached her.
It had been five years after that fateful trip to Gotham where it had come out that Marinette was technically the biological daughter of one Bruce Wayne. She was only a few months younger then her half-brother, Damien Wayne, but wasn't considered an heir in any form, fashion or way. And could, would, kick your ass if you tried her as the Joker had painfully found out when he had lost the use of his balls. Marinette in heels was a scary thing.
It was during that trip though that his relationship with Alya had rung it's last bell since it had been dying for most of the year anyways. He had moved into the Wayne Manor to get away from her, Bruce giving him some good advice about relationships that had started out good before turning toxic. He had also become the official holder of the Bunny Miraculous, the future Alix coming through and admitting that their timeline had been splitting off since the Blanc Chat issues. Seeing as she had admitted that with the way Fluff's power was used, they were officially a new timeline all their own.
She had worked with him to learn about his powers with Fluff and how to properly stay connected with his timeline, making sure that things stayed on the proper path. It had gotten really close for a while there, but Papillion had been taken out, the Bat family agreeing to work with them to find him. Gabriel Agreste was still in an international prison. With his father in jail, Adrien had thrown himself into learning how to run a fashion business, finding the best designers that he could, and changed the Gabriel brand to the Sleeping Emily brand.
Nino and Marinette had been the two to marry even though it was well known that they were all in a triad that made them all very happy. It had been mostly for tax purposes and legal covering. They were hoping that the law that would allow polyamorus marriages to happen would go through soon. Granted there would be heavy restrictions on that of course, but they did love each other equally and wanted to have an equal marriage.
But currently, Marinette was nearly five months pregnant and Chloe was close to five months herself. Unfortunately for their fashion designer partner, she was having the hardest time with morning sickness. She could eat but there were very few safe foods for her for the better part of the day. Things like unbuttered toast, fruit, certain vegetables, sometimes eggs and breads were usually safe foods for her during those hours. What had set Marinette off this time was the fact that Nino had been working on a new recipe and she had walked into the peach scented kitchen.
"We both know that you won't kill him. You like his dick to much," Chloe drawled. Nino sighed, knowing that she had always cursed but since she had started to hang out with Jason, she was more willing to do so. She smiled sweetly up at him before she turned back to Marinette. "And no, a clone-a-will kit would not work. You want it attached to the actual human. He has a tongue that makes you happy. That and he has been figuring out more safe foods for you."
Marinette pouted up at her, eyes watery. "Why do you have to be so damn logical about this?" she whined. "I wanna be hormonal."
"Because we love you, Mari," Nino teased, pressing a kiss to her temple as he sat down next to her, rubbing over her stomach and feeling the very slight flutter there. "Has Tikki told you how being the Guardian will affect the little one?" he asked.
"She warned me that it's likely they'll be magically stronger and able to wield any of the Miraculous that we have, and even ones that aren't under our Guardianship. Depends on how things go. Luckily for all of us, we were chosen as Guardians so we don't have to worry about losing each other to soon in life," Marinette told him, relaxing into the couch as she let her lover's relax her. "How are your food allergies?" she asked Chloe.
Chloe wrinkled her nose as she shifted. "Going away finally. Let me tell you, not being able to eat peaches, oranges or plums was really driving me nuts since I've been craving them," she huffed. She moved to face them with a smile. "I do feel better though. Doc gave me the go ahead to start introducing them into my diet again."
"I'll make a note to have some of them ready to go with your morning cottage cheese and honey," Nino promised. What had surprised them all was that he had found a love and drive for the culinary side of things. He still made videos and worked with various directors writing scripts and sometimes co-directing, occasionally doing DJ jobs, but he still loved to bake more. Alfred had taught him several things during their time in Gotham and Nino had found himself fascinated, having gone to culinary school right out of their secondary schooling years.
The plan was that he was most likely going to take over the pastry shop of his in-laws with Kagami, who had claimed the accountant position once she graduated university. Cass was going to arrive in a few weeks to start learning all of the tricks and tips of the shop from Sabine and Tom along with their recipes so that she could open a branch up in Gotham.
"Thank you," Chloe hummed, leaning over Marinette and getting a small kiss from Nino that still brought a soft blush to her cheeks, getting a leer from the other male. "I swear that if we hadn't planned for this, we would have had at least two kids," she huffed.
Marinette laughed at her and nodded. "Yeah, more then likely. It was like once we had gotten a taste of one another? There really was no stopping us from going at it like proverbial bunnies. Even Fluff is still surprised at how often we wanted each other," she said. She smiled as she rubbed at her stomach. "Though I really am glad that MMC is doing so well. It means that I can design from home and pawn off some of my commission work onto my designers when I can't do it at the moment."
"Just well? Hell, we're as big of a name as Gabriel had been, and that Sleeping Emily is now," Chloe snorted as she picked up the newest issue of Style Queen. "Let me tell you though, Zoe is doing really well running the magazine with mom when she's not acting."
"I'm just glad that that whole mess didn't come out when we were still dealing with Papillion. Can you imagine the akumazation that would have happened because of that?" Nino groaned, shaking his head. "Zoe is sweet though. And I'm glad that she stopped trying to be someone that she isn't. She's a lot nicer."
"She is," Marinette said. She looked at the article about Magically Miraculous Clothing and how it had gone from a one woman show to a two woman show to being a major name for customized clothes and even clothes that were well known for being well made while being fairly priced. She was rather proud with some of her clothing lines that were made for the lower class of the various parts of the world and signed before sipping her tea.
She paused. Shoved the cup at Nino. Grabbing the trash can, she hugged it once more with a curse.
