After a long day of playing pro motorball, Alita was tired and walking through shortcuts to avoid excited fans. Suddenly, Alita heard a female shriek, followed by a metallic thud. Alita looked around the corner and was surprised to see Ido with a cyborg arm in his right hand, his weapon in his left. Alita decided to walk and take the long way home, thinking Ido was just doing some Hunter-Warrior work and didn't want to get in his way.

"Is someone there!?" Ido noticed.

After finding nobody else around, Ido slung his weapon over his shoulders while grabbing the arm with his free hand. When Ido finally returned home, Alita was eating her dinner. Ido pulled up a seat and sat down as Alita gave a menacing glare.

"So Alita, how was the motorball tournament? Another big win I guess." Ido supposed.

"And how was your seventh murder? Looked like quite the success to me." Alita retorted.

"She was a wanted criminal." Ido defended.

"I checked the database this morning before heading out. There wasn't anyone who matched the description of the woman you killed in the alley." Alita stated.

"I was merely defending myself! She wasn't in the database and was trying to attack me!" Ido protested.

"Then what about the six other times!? Pictures of the victims were taken and I've seen parts from all of them in your office!" Alita declared.

Ido sighed, knowing his lies weren't helping.

"I suppose it's only fair you hear the truth. My daughter was suffering from muscular degeneration. I'd heard of some androids with extremely well made parts. My status as a Hunter-Warrior helped me get close to them.

So, one of the murders was for a core, another for the torso, the next ones were for the arms and the last ones for the legs. When she had her new body, she was so happy. But, after the incident, being caught was the least of my worries. I was trying to get a new arm for your body with a built in weapon from the android you saw me killing earlier." Ido elucidated as he placed the arm on the table.

Alita grabbed it just above the elbow and was shocked when a cover moved back towards the elbow and revealed a 9-inch damascus steel blade which raised from the hidden compartment. Alita was in awe as she examined the blade. Alita then shook her head and placed the arm down.

"I can't just take something from an innocent person who had no reason to die!" Alita cried.

"I heard rumors that she was ordering people to steal parts from other androids and being protected by Zapan. That's why she wasn't in the database." Ido explained.

Alita bent her head down in a mix of shame and embarrassment.

"It's alright Alita, you didn't know. Some sleep should help." Ido commented.

Alita nodded before going upstairs, looking out the window and sighing. After thinking for a few moments about why Ido chose to become a cyberphysician as she laid on her bed staring up at the celing. Shortly thereafter, Alita fell asleep.
