Hello all,
Ok so here is a new story that I had an idea for. To be honest it's still new and is not fully formed. I wanted to put a sort of teaser chapter out and get a feel for how it would be taken. I already have two other stories that I'm committed to so here's the deal:
If you like it, let me know. Either review or PM me, I don't care. The more people that review or PM and say they want more the more I'll update, but if no one reviews or anything then I'll drop the story.
Thank you all for your patience. Hope you enjoy.

Disclaimer:
I do not own Teen Titans.
Kori had one rule.
No. Emotional. Attachments.
Emotional attachments made life more difficult and were more trouble than they were worth.
Being from a well-off family that had issues, this rule had never been hard to follow. Typically with one look at a person, Kori could tell whether or not they were worth her time. Rarely were people worth her time and boys, in particular, were never included in this small group.
The few girls who were lucky enough to be included in this group held similar opinions and outlooks on life as Kori which made being their friend easy for her. Kori kept her distance though. Long ago she had accepted the reality that people let you down, it was only a matter of "when", not "if".
Kori considered herself humble and down to earth. She was kind and considerate. She volunteered in homeless and women's shelters on the weekends when she was not working. She abhorred the rich people who threw their money around and detested those who used their power and positions for their own gain. Kori made it a point to never go near those people or to associate with them. Kori gave money to charity and was considered to be an all-around good person. Everyone loved her.
She knew that her views were considered cynical by most people, but she did not care. All she cared about was protecting her heart. To succeed in this endeavor, Kori swore to never allow herself to become emotionally attached, to anyone, least of all a boy. Heaven, forbid she fall in love.
Yet fall she did.
