Ash ignored the aching pain on his shoulders as he straightened his collar jacket. He smoothed out the creases of his outer clothing and gave a satisfied nod once he looked presentable and proper. His electric starter decided to rest on top of his hair for the time being, the exhaustion from today's exercise and training was starting to kick in so a little rest is warranted. Its sensitive ears perked up at the sound of footsteps approaching them from a distance and gave an adorable squeak at the very figure walking towards them. The Kanto pokemon alerted its trainer by patting his messy raven hair, and once its master's attention was grasped within his stubby little paws, the electric mouse used its lightning shaped tail to point towards the approaching figure. Ash simply followed his starter's instruction and smiled at the person whom he invited out for a date.

She hasten her footsteps when their eyes finally met, and a bright and dare he say cute smile quickly crept onto her lovely face. She was still wearing the stunning red outfit she wore a few days ago, showing much of her blessed curves and her love for fashion. She finally reached him and greeted the yellow mouse with much enthusiasm, earning a sweet nuzzle to her cheeks.

Undeniably, such adorable sight made Ash grinned as he closed the distance between them. He took his starter back into his arms and smirked at the displeased pout she was displaying towards him, feeling peeved that the fuzzy electric mouse was taken away from her.

"I have the tickets ready." Ash flashed the 2 red tickets in front of her, hiding his nervousness behind a less than dashing smile. After all, this was technically the first time he went out on a date with a girl. Sure, he hang out with the girls in private before, numerous times in fact. But the main focus wasn't really on dating or courting, more of spending time with each other by enjoying their favourite hobbies and activities.

This was the first time where Ash actively brought a girl out for a good time, to generic amusement parks and expensive restaurants that provided a nice ambience. Dating isn't his forte despite what others may think, but he did promised Bea and the others that he will bring each of them out for a date. So, here he is.

"Great! Let's get in then." May wrapped around his left arm giddily, her excitement and joyful facial expression was a delight to watch for Ash. The initial first few weeks of May's arrival was painful to watch as she awkwardly avoided him, the fact she is back to her boisterous and cheerful mood puts a smile on his face. He gave an amused chuckle when May effortlessly pulled him to the ticket attendant who seemed to be intimidated by May's bubbly and radiant energy. After handing their tickets to the poor man, the couple was finally granted passage into Jubilife's city very own amusement park, with the standard Ferris wheels and rollercoaster ride to show.

"It's been a long time since I went to an amusement park." May marveled the lively atmosphere of the park, they were couples hanging out, kids running around and parents strolling about. It was a busy scene yet it wasn't as crowded as the Hoenn native anticipated. There was a sense of liveliness, without the overwhelming feeling of the crowd drowning you out which was great because she would never had the patience to stand in a queue for hours.

"Glad you like it." Ash grasped May's hand and entwined their dainty fingers together. It wasn't out of character for Ash to be the assertive and initiative one, but May's time with Ash wasn't long. So she was eager to see what Ash had in store for her despite their relatively short time together.

Admittedly, the young Kanto teen had a hard time to figure out where to bring each of the girls out for a date. This problem was made especially apparent by May since he knew little about her. He knew she loves food, desserts, fashion and fun times, but that was about it. There was more to this girl and Ash was keen to find out, hence the reason he brought her out for a date.

'May, Misty, Dawn, Serena, Bea and Korrina.' The order of the girls he would bring out for a date was based on the list he hastily created prior telling them. He agreed to finish their little date session by the end of this week, so essentially Ash needs to speedrun dating with the all of the girls within a week. He didn't want to space out the dates because feelings of jealousy and neglections might arose between them. So he ultimately decided that he should get this done as soon as possible to avoid unnecessary strife and ill feelings between everyone.

It also prevents the girls from thinking that he is playing favourites among them. All these little things may seem trivial and unnecessary to outsiders, but what do they know? He is the one with the harem here, not them. Make no mistake, the girls are a sweet bunch, but Ash would never take their kindness for granted. Bea and Serena especially demanded much of his attention and energy, but given their passionate and devoted nature, it was to be expected.

He needs to please the girls not because they asked for it, but because he knew they deserved it. It was all these little things that would solidify their relationship as a whole and if he can't deliver it, it's safe to say that it would not work out between all of them. Taxing for sure, but the reward is ever sweet.

"So where are we going Mr-I-have-8-girlfriends?" May grinned at Ash's reaction, the hair strands on the back of his neck all straightened up as he frantically look around him to ensure no one hears their conversation. He placed his finger in front of his lips and yanked May closer to him with his other hand. One look and you would have mistaken Ash for some kind of kidnapper, a terrible one at that.

"Shh don't say that out loud." May chuckled at his reaction and rubbed his shoulders in an almost condescending way. He had always been the paranoid and worried one, not surprising given that Ash had a tendency to knock on death's door every now and then. Unbeknownst to the Kanto teen, the topic of Ash's mental health had been a topic of concern between the girls. The fact of the matter is, it was almost a routine for Ash to be involved in dangerous situation, which unfortunately results him in getting into situation that he was not prepared for.

It was honestly worrying.

"How about a train ride?" May's pensive thoughts were swiftly interrupted by Ash who eyed at amusement park's train ride. She sighed inwardly and tried her best to focus on having a good time with Ash, those worrying thoughts could be saved for later. Right now, she just wants to have a good time. The girl named after the 5th month of the year quickly nodded and assumed a more clingy and affectionate mood by hugging Ash's arm between her breast, intentionally cupping it with her two mounds, much to Ash's delight.

The duo walked towards the train conductor who had a frown on his face as he surveyed the lack of seats. He halted his inspections and turned to an approaching May and Ash with a smile, tipping his hats just slight to show his respect and service.

"Hello there, are you two a couple?" The closeness between the two was obvious to the eye, maybe these two can help solve his problem? It was rare to see a teenager with a pokemon proudly perched on his shoulder out in the open, very few teenagers could boast they own a pokemon of their own at their age.

"Yes we are." The train attendant grinned and clasped his gloved hands together, this couple might just be the solution to his problem. The honest looking man glanced towards the family standing patiently next to him before shifting his attention back to the couple.

"Do you mind sharing a seat then? You see a family of 4 wants to enjoy this ride together, but we only have 5 compartments left. You would have to wait for another 30 minutes if you wish to board the next ride." Ash rubbed his chin with his free hand, the seats of the train were compact and are designed for one occupant only. The only way May and him can share the sit together is if she sits on top of his lap.

An interesting and entertaining thought.

"May do you mind? We can go for other-" He spoke slowly to May who smiled at him sweetly. Now Ash was no dense idiot, he could easily see the hidden intent behind her sweet smile. But he decided to entertain her by feigning stupidity to see how the situations goes. Something tells him May can be quite wild when it comes to intimacy and affection, not that he was complaining.

"I don't mind at all." As soon as those words left her mouth, Ash knew this cute little date with May might not be so tame or innocent after all. The train conductor smiled and quickly led the couple to their seat, opening the door for them in the process. Ash entered the compartment first as Pikachu jumped near the window to allow May to sit down on his trainer's lap. The electric mouse watched as his trainer's partner sat on his lap with a mischievous grin plastered on her face.

'She's sitting on my lap, good Arceus.' Ash took the oppurtunity to snake his arms around May's waist, akin to a makeshift seatbelt just to hold her in place. Once the train conductor closed the door shut and the family of 4 entered their respective seats safely, the ride has finally begun. The initial movement caused May to sink deeper into Ash's lap, causing her to give a cute yelp in the process. The Kanto teen grinned at her reactions and rubbed her luscious thighs to calm her nerves, though it only caused May to feel flustered and embarrassed over her current situation.

As the train slowly ascended through a dark cave, the couple marveled at the colourful gems that illuminated around them. The stalactites that hung across the cavern ceilings seemed dangerous at first, but the dynamic shapes and structural formation just made the place seemed otherworldly. For Ash however, it brought back the memories of him being stuck in the icy caverns of Snowpoint. The jagged icicles and cold glassy ice floor was something he would never forget. The cold numbing feeling of his frostbitten limbs and-

"This place is so enchanting." Ash leaned closer to May's hair as she whispered to him, her melodious voice and soft receptive body broke his frigid thoughts of death. From what he understand, Hoenn's geological formation had make sparkling caverns such as this common around the region, so perhaps this place brought back some fond memories for May during her time in Hoenn. He certainly would like to visit the region's pristine waters and beautiful beaches.

In the corner of Ash's eye, he caught his electric starter wagging his tail in delight as they pass by a group of rock type pokemon who call this cavern their home. It was admirable really, that the habitat of the local pokemon weren't disrupted in favour of commercialization and profits.

The train soon looped around a gushing waterfall crashing down the streams. The numerous water types bathing and playing in the cold stream made May gasp. She leaned towards the window to get a better view which unfortunately (or fortunately) gave Ash a clear view of May's impressive assets. He peered his eyes away and focus his sights on what's around him, rather than what's in front of him. The cave slowly transformed into a grotto with moss and plants covering the walls and ceilings around them. It was an impressive sight and Ash would had appreciate it more had it not been May suddenly sitting back down his lap, dangerously close to his nether regions.

"May-" The shifts of movements weren't doing him any favours, whether May was intentionally teasing him with her ass was anyone's guess, but the naughty smile on her seemingly innocent face seemed to implied that she was. The Kanto teen was feeling two emotions at the moment, sexual frustration and generally disbelief at how assertive and wild May was. Keep in mind the two only became a couple a few days ago, so to Ash, this foreplay of sorts was not something he expected.

'She's not shy around this.' Ash would had count it as a win for him had it not been the very limited time they knew each other. He knew that May really did like him and maybe this was her way to reward him of some sorts, but he didn't need a girl to constantly tease him just to get on his good side. To him, the matter of trust between the girls and him was something he always had in mind. If the girls don't trust him enough to begin with, then this polygamous relationship between them should be null effectively.

That being said, Ash is enjoying his position so he's not going to discourage May. This date is about getting to know each other after all, and Ash was getting a pretty good grasp on May's character and her figure. She is a passionate girl, the type who wore it on her sleeve. She wasn't shy when it comes to her feelings and Ash admired her boldness. She doesn't like being left out or feel lonely and craved for affection and companionship, something which he is more than happy to provide. Naturally, this characteristics might make her seem promiscuous to others but Ash knew better, May just want to reciprocate her feelings she have for him. She is both flirty and playful, but was serious and sincere with her feelings. He had a hunch that perhaps the breakup with Drew might had something to do with her erratic behavior.

As Ash jot down the mental notes of May's personality, the train ride came to a stand still. It seemed that their little train ride was over, it was a bit short for Ash but he didn't really mind. It meant they can go on more rides instead of a dragged on experience. Only Arceus knows how many poor souls have been scammed by greedy amusement parks.

The pair left the train ride and headed towards the next attraction. As they navigate through the crowds and the poorly ventilated mascots, May's eyes lighted up at the sight of an ice cream parlour that was brimming with frosty delights. She hastily dragged Ash and his electric companion over and pointed at the mix berry flavour ice cream which coincidentally, is the most expensive flavour of it all. Wordlessly, Ash agreed to May's sudden impulse for ice cream and forked out the money to the cashier. He would have get one cone for himself but he wasn't particularly in the mood for it.

"Thank you!" One thing Ash quickly noticed is that the girls really like desserts and confectionary, Bea more so than the others. Each of them have their own preferred flavours so it really highlights their personality and interest. May's is all berry or nothing, Bea is chocolate cake for the win while Misty and Dawn is diabetic inducing Boba tea. As for Serena and Korrina, the two prefer Kalos confectionary such as colourful Macarons and butter flavoured croissants. Such observation of their favourite desserts came natural to him considering they always hangout with each other.

Maybe one day he can hone his baking skills and create homemade pastries just for them, a lovely and romantic thought.

"Ash we should go to the Ferris Wheel ride!" Ideally Ash would love to save that ride as a finisher, you know the typical Ferris Wheel ride by the sunset scene? But considering that May was the one who demanded and the fact that sun was indeed setting, maybe he could alter his plans. Ice cream in hand, May lead grasped Ash's hand and pulled him to the ride, in an almost possessive and hasty manner.

'She's been acting weird in this date.' This entire date just felt hollow to Ash, not because of May, Arceus only knows how much he appreciates May's company and her adorable giggles and smiles! But it did felt like there is something between them, a barrier that is stopping them from progressing forward. Normally May would suddenly bring up out of nowhere topics to discuss or hold silly and playful banters with him, you know as friends and lovers usually would. Yet today, she is just different somehow.

Granted, Ash knew that this date they have is as generic and as boring as it can get. So perhaps she was disappointed at him for bringing her out for this rather forgettable date. He should had plan things better, and he would had plan a better date had it not been his paranoia of being attacked by terrorists. There was a reason why Ash chose a public venue and not a private picnic or go for a risqué swimming session by the lake.

"Ash, you okay?" He rid his mind of those guilty thoughts and flashed a reassuring smile to a concerned looking May. He squeezed her hands and shook his head, though that did little to alleviate her doubts and worries. He quickly conjured up the excuse that he is tired from all the workout he did today at the gym which for the most part, is true.

As they ascend upon the Ferris Wheel, the evening sunlight they once basked in the glory of was now replaced by the looming darkness of the night, illuminated by the dimly lit stars and the still functioning street lights. The slow moving ferris wheel capsule started to rotate as the couple sat with each other, with May's head laying on top of Ash's shoulder. She squeezed his hands as they laid on top of her thighs, watching the night view of the city skylines as each building started to light up one by one.

"I'm glad we are on this date." The faint murmurs from May's melodious voice instantly caught Ash's attention, he shuffled closer and placed his arms around her shoulders, perplexed at the emotional and earnest confession from the Hoenn native. He paused for the briefest of moments before tugging her hands just to grasp her attention.

"May what's wrong? You've been quiet this entire time. Is it because of the date? Is it too boring-" The tone of doubt that quivered from his lips was swiftly dispelled by May's radiant smile. She cutely snuggled up to his chest and leaned onto it, allowing the Kanto native to smell her scented hair that almost lured him to sleep.

"No of course not. The date wasn't really the thing that excited me, but it's that I finally get to spend some time with you. Unlike the other girls, we don't know each other that well so- you know." Of all the girls, May was the most insecure one and its certainly not hard to see why. Ash had always knew she had a hard time accepting and even adjusting to their newfound relationship, but he never knew that it was to this extent. She suffered from self-confidence issues, no thanks to the bush head of an ex-boyfriend of hers. Still, Ash knew he had to firmly and directly tell May that she was dating him and not Drew, and that sexual favours or teasing can wait until they are more intimate.

"May, I'm not leaving you. I'm fine if we just have the occasional kiss or hug, I don't mind that." The brunette averted her gaze in an almost shameful and embarrassed manner, eyeing the gray floors of their capsule that was slowly rotating. She knew that she was deliberately putting a show for Ash, but a part of her was almost certain that if she didn't, Ash would eventually leave her. A twisted and horrible perception forged by her time with Drew.

"But Drew always-"

"I'm not Drew." She stared at the firm yet gentle expression on his face, seemingly making her realize that she had the whole thing wrong. Ash wasn't Drew and she shouldn't expect him to act like him. The insecure part of her always seemed to remind her that her time with Ash would always come to an abrupt end and she should do anything she can to make him stay by her side. Yet right now, it dawned on her that Ash wasn't expecting or demanding anything from her, just her companionship and the occasional hugs and cheesy jokes was all he wanted.

"Sorry, I just thought that all guys want their girlfriends to do that to them." Ash grinned and flicked her forehead, earning a pouty look from May who didn't seem to receive the sudden flick of a finger well.

"Of course they do." Seeing the bewildered and surprised expression on May's pretty face, Ash sank into his seat and continued.

"But only if the girl is comfortable with it. I would never ask you to do things if you are uncomfortable with it. We only knew each other for a short time, so let's get to know each other a little better before things get frisky and serious alright?" This line seemed scripted to May, and she would be right. Unbeknownst to her, Ash had to say the exact same thing to Serena, Bea, Misty, Dawn and Korrina when they first dated. Just a few weeks into their relationship and things has been, well intense to say the least. Boundaries and lines that they once established has now become murky and blurred, and Ash wasn't sure if this was really okay between all of them.

But he would let it slide for the time being, everyone seemed to be happy and that's what it matters right?

"Alright." Ash took the oppurtunity to rub her shoulders soothingly, hoping that some form of physical affection can help lift her spirits. With the gentlest of whispers, he leaned close to her ears and let his husky voice serenade the Hoenn native.

"Just forget about Drew alright? It's all in the past now." May felt a shiver of pleasure coursing down her body as she squirmed in Ash's arms, she bit her lower lip for the briefest of moment before a coy smile crept onto her face. Feigning the look of innocence, she danced her fingers across Ash's chest and leaned close to his face, almost kissing each other if they were any closer.

"Does that mean we can't even cuddle?" Ash wasn't expecting her to ask such direct question, but he personally thinks that it's alright to cuddle with your partner. You know, sitting underneath the stars with their blankets warming them up? Sounds awfully romantic and besides, he had done it with the girls multiple times, so May shouldn't be exempted from this too.

"Well if you are into that I'm sure we can do it- hey!" Unfortunately, May's definition of "cuddling" is basically sitting on top of his lap as she face him directly. Its a very dangerous position to Ash since he can feel the heat of May's body at his lap and other far more sensitive parts.

"Hehe, now this is a much better position." For her? Yes, for him? Absolutely not. His flustered expression broke into a cheeky grin when May leaned her forehead against him, almost nuzzling their nose together. From what he heard from the girls, May was the very romantic type who likes to do all sorts of coupleish thing with her partner, and considering Drew is anything but a romantic partner, Ash knew he had to fill that void for her.

"We can continue this back at home." Ash almost paused in real life when those words left his mouth, it sounded way more suggestive than he would have liked and he dearly hoped he didn't gave May the wrong impression. Fortunately for him, May merely gave an endearing smile of her own and nodded.

"They should be here by now." It was day 2 of Ash's dating adventures and after a long night with May that involved a lot of innocent intimacy, he felt rejuvenated and invigorated. Currently, he is standing near the Jubilife City Aquarium center and yes, this date is with none other than Misty Waterflower herself who made her passion and love for water type pokemon very clear to everyone. It wasn't easy to orchestrate this date however, asking Misty to take some free time off from her busy schedule is a feat only made possible by Arceus himself but fortunately for Ash, he seemed to be the next best thing. Finally, the two of them can be alone and spend some much needed quality time together.

Or it should had been the case.

"Dawn?" Ash wasn't expecting the blue haired coordinator to make her appearance. It seemed that Misty had invited her to accompany them on what supposed to be their one-on-one date. In truth, he wasn't too surprised by the sudden addition of Dawn, Misty had always make it clear that Dawn and her are for all intents and purposes, twins. But while Ash welcomes the uninvited guest of theirs, it did kill the romantic mood between Misty and him.

'It just feel like a casual hangout session.' This was not what he wanted, he specifically invited Misty out in private just so the two of them can enjoy each other's presence. Other than the occasional hugs or kiss, Misty and him don't actually spend much time together in private, which is ironic considering she and Dawn are the ones who knew him the longest.

'I mean if this is what she wants, then I don't see why I can't go along with it.' Perhaps Misty didn't treat this a date between the two of them, but a rather an oppurtunity for the three of them to hangout with each other again. Suffice to say, the 3 of them rarely get the oppurtunity to hang out with each other after moving in with the other girls and while Ash relishes the fact 6 beautiful girls are staying with him, he also missed the simpler times where Dawn, Misty and him just huddle around the sofa during Friday nights and watch some generic B-grade horror movie together, betting against each other over which incompetent actor or actress would die first.

The duo finally stood before him, with Misty sporting her tomboyish attire with her light blue jacket and yellow top. She wore denim shorts that showed much of her toned legs that were a result of her numerous swimming sessions with her hair was tied into a traditional ponytail style, courtesy of Dawn herself as the two seemed to spot similar hairstyles and clothing.

The blunette grinned at his pleasantly surprised expression before pushing a shy Misty forward. The avoidance of eye contact, the bashful rubbing of her left arm and the flushed cheeks of shyness, Misty definitely had the gap moe vibe going on for her. On closer inspection, Ash noticed that Misty also applied makeup, albeit very light and barely noticeable. Hell she even applied lip gloss as well, making them all the more supple and kissable, at least according to himself.

"Well what do you think? Misty looks different right?" Dawn proudly presented Misty as if she was her finest piece of art. Misty didn't look completely different per se, but the minor changes to her clothes and hairstyle is more than enough to make her stand out. Misty has always been a pretty girl, but cute was never the word people would use to describe her.

"She looks cuter that's for sure." Ash didn't resist the urge to pull Misty closer to him, he placed his hands around her waist and gently rubbed them once Misty's flustered and panic state started to settle in. Despite their close intimacy, Misty was still jumpy and anxious when it comes to physical affection, especially in public. Her tough exterior often hid her more emotionally and fragile personality, a trait that Ash knew all too well.

"Aww see Misty? Told you that Ash appreciates it." It took her half an hour just to dress up, normally Misty would had skipped the make up part and wore whatever clothes that is clean. But considering Ash painstakingly planned this date out and made the effort to invite her out despite their busy work schedule, the very least she can do is to make herself look more presentable. Not that she was trying to impress him or anything, absolutely not.

"Thanks." She was toying with his heartstrings with how timid and adorable she sounds. Ash stiffened a chuckle before he leaned forward to kiss her forehead, ignoring the red blush that formed on her cheeks and the fact they were still in public. He leaned to her ears and whispered softly, his breath tickling her earlobes as Misty nervously rubbed her thighs together from the chill of pleasure that course through her body.

"Relax." His husky voice made Misty bit her lower lip, he was deliberately toying with her!

"There's no need to be so flustered Misty, it's just a casual date." Dawn piped in as she took Pikachu from Ash's shoulders, hugging the electric mouse in her arms. She placed her chin on top of its head and grinned at Misty's flustered state, the redhead really is clueless and innocent when it comes to dating. For all of her facade and sassy nature, Misty is still naive and innocent when it comes romance. Growing up, Misty's harsh and blunt attitude pretty much deter anyone suitors from pursuing a relationship with her but that didn't mean she didn't desire for a romantic relationship. Prior to Ash moving in, late night conversations between the Dawn and Misty had always involve the topic of romance and relationships.

"Casual date aside, did you invite Dawn or did she decided to join us for the day." Ash pulled back briefly as he stared at Dawn, he hasn't addressed the Donphan in the room which is the sudden addition of Dawn. He figured that Misty begged Dawn to come along with her for the date so she has someone who can support her. Although Misty is technically the "big sister" of the group, her reliance on Dawn for emotional support is only something the 3 of them knew.

"I thought it would be nice if the 3 of us hangout again." Her statement confirmed Ash's thoughts that Misty was using this date as an oppurtunity to rekindle their once shared bond again. The trainer with the Pikachu sigh before snaking his free hand around Dawn's waist and pulled her towards him, much to her surprise and delight.

"I know but this is suppose to be our private date and while I have no objections to have the lovely Dawn Berlitz by my side-" The lovely Dawn Berlitz giggled when Ash pulled her into a close embrace, pressing his cheeks against her silky soft blue hair she took pride in.

"-We don't spend that much of our time together in private Mist." Misty crossed her arms as a confident grin crept onto her face. This topic wasn't new, in fact Ash had often voice his displeasure over the fact that she is a workaholic who often has too much on her plate. Naturally, Misty would love to spend more time with Ash and her girlfriends and so with a heavy heart, she decided to take some time off from her club activities.

"Oh don't worry about that Ash, we can have more alone time after this month." The fact she said it so casually concerned and excited Ash. What did she do to the swimming club? Misty was basically the head committee of the club and something tells Ash that her absence would lead to the downfall of the club which was almost nonexistent prior to her arrival. She single handedly popularized the club and attracted numerous swimming enthusiasts who were once adamant enrolling into the swimming club. How she managed to attract such a large crowd was beyond Ash, but he suspects her looks and the swimming suit she wore might had some level of effect.

It certainly had an effect on him.

"Huh?" Seeing his confused expression, Dawn quickly cut Misty off before she could have the chance to explain it.

"Misty is taking a break from her swimming club duties, so she has plenty of free time to go around." Ah so she is just taking a break, that was comforting to hear. He often worry that Misty has to balance between her love life, school work and club activities, so the occasional break does go a long way.

"That's fantastic, but does she want to spend those free time with me though?" The redhead grinned and approached him slowly, snaking her arms around his neck as the seductive and flirtatious side of Misty started to make its grand appearance. She tiptoed to move closer to his face before pushing her body against Ash, surprising the Pallet town teen over how assertive Misty was being.

"Well, depends on how this date goes Ash~" Still, Ash had learned how to dance to Misty's tune long ago, so he reciprocated her advances by holding her chin with his thumb, pulling them dangerously close to his lips as his other hand held the bare parts of her waist. Just as they were about to make out with each other and have a tongue o'war in the middle of a public street, Dawn pushed the two insatiable couple apart and gave them a firm and unflinching look.

"Ahem we're still in public." Ash raised his eyebrows, Dawn didn't exactly sound jealous, more of disappointed that Misty and him almost made out in public. He chuckled at Dawn's pouty face and patted her hair, instantly softening her stern expression as Misty rubbed the back of her neck. She was too caught up in the moment to realize they were still in public, where families and little kids are walking and running about.

The coordinator grinned at Misty's flustered expression before she pulled her roommates hands to her, tugging them rather childishly with her giddy and bubbly smile. Enough stalling, it was time to enjoy themselves!

"Come on, let's go to the Aquarium, I want to see the cute Milotics and Seels!" With Dawn taking the lead, Ash found himself being dragged around the city's aquarium helplessly. He was supposed to be the one who leads the date and bring them around but he didn't mind the change of positions, Dawn loves being on top- of things. The blunette dragged the two to their first attraction, where couples and young kids are seen sprawling their hands around the glass pane that separated them from the pokemon. Unsurprisingly, the ticket counter is manned by a receptionist and her adorable Lotad that took the tickets with his beak.

"Ticket for 3 please." Ash silently pulled his wallet out, careful not to give any indication that he would be the one paying. Just as Ash was about to slip in the money to pay for the tickets, the ever so observant Misty hastily held Ash's money-pulling-arm in place. Defeated, he turned to Dawn only to realize that she finished paying for their tickets, leading not much room for an argument or a discussion over who should be paying.

"Let's go!" Dawn wiggled the 3 tickets in front of them as Ash gave a bemused sigh, these two can be so adorable and uptight around trivial things such at these. With their tickets validated, the trio finally entered the public aquarium doors and entered the main hall filled with confusing directional signs and sea of people crowding about.

"Jubilife Water World, do you think we will see a Wailord Ash?" Wailords are notoriously elusive and while you think their large size would render them easy to spot, the are also known to dwell in the deep dark waters of the ocean, lurking near the ocean floor with their pod. But occasionally, just occasionally, these majestic creature would leap out of the sea before plunging themselves back into the cold seas.

And that was what Misty wish to see with her very own eyes.

"I hope so, they are quite the amazing creatures." Seeing Misty being so excited over the prospect of seeing a Wailord is endearing, but he knew full well over how much Misty loves aquatic pokemon. He interlocked his fingers with Misty and Dawn's hands respectively and followed the two girls to whatever attraction grasp their interest. From the herd of Horsea blowing bubbles with each other playfully, to the Lanturns that performed dazzling lightshows amidst the darkness of the depths. Ash was feeling like a little kid again watching the different pokemon entertaining them with their antics and skills.

As Misty lead the way to the different exhibits, her emerald eyes spotted a a pair of baby Spheals rolling around in the snow. With her heart melting at the adorable sight, she hastily pulled her two companions to her side.

"Misty wha-" He was instantly shut up by the dazzling glint in her eyes, the look of awe and wonder was truly endearing if not slightly frightening, how does she make her eyes sparkle like that?

"Baby Spheals! Ash we have to go see them." He followed her gaze and smiled at the sight of the two Spheals rolling off the small snowy hills. They were really cute considering they were rolling around with their perfectly round bodies. How they managed to stay so fluffy and round is a real mystery, but hey at least they are adorable. Dawn seemed to share Misty's sentiments as she darted off without them, placing her hands against the frosted glass that were covered by bits of powdery snow.

"They're so fluffy and round! Look how chonky they look." Ash chuckled as the two girls took their phones out and started to record the two Spheals rolling around. Dawn like any cute animal enthusiast often show Misty and him videos of baby pokemon doing silly antics. So it was no surprised that Dawn and Misty to some extent, had become enthralled by the sight of two chonkers rolling around in the snow.

"Ooh I really want to own a Spheal." The Spheal line is known for their bulk and their ability to utilize Hailstorms to their advantage. While they aren't as majestic and as elegant as a Milotic, the sheer power of their imposing tusks and their mastery over the frigid cold makes them a versatile fighter that could adapt to any situation, perfect for a water type trainer like Misty herself.

"You want to own everything Misty." The dry comment from Ash was promptly ignored by Misty as Dawn and her continued walking on without him, marvelling at the different ice types staring back at them with an amused and curious expression. Who are these humans and why do they look so thrilled seeing them?

"Ice type enclosures or Coral Water World?" Dawn raised an important philosophical question, well for Misty anyway. She crossed her arms as she leaned to Dawn's left shoulder, savouring the soft and warmness of her best friend. She felt a snaking arm around her as a love starved Ash placed his chin on top of her hair, pulling her body close to him.

"I want to see the ice types!" Akin to a little child waking up on a Christmas morning, Misty sure wasn't reserved when it comes to her love for aquatic and tundra pokemon. He remembered that he bought a Marill plushie for her as a gift, nothing special, just a normal plushie sold from a toy store. But the absolute look of joy from Misty's face and the adorable squeals that blessed his ears that day would forever be ingrained in his memory. It really goes to show that it doesn't take much to get on her good side, perhaps he can bribe her with another water type plushie in the future.

"Really, I though you would like to see the Milotics and Luvdiscs?" As if on queue, Misty pulled her phone out and showed a timetable like schedule to Ash. The young teen leaned forward to get a better view of the schedule, it seemed to mark the release date of various pokemon owned by the Aquarium.

"I want to see the baby Cubchoos first, I heard they are being released next week." Marine exhibits and Zoos provide shelter and care to newly hatched pokemon or injured pokemon found in the wild, most of which are unfortunate victims to excessive poaching. Once they reach mature age, all pokemon enclosures are legally obligated to release the pokemon back to the wild and into their own natural habitat, unless they are physically and mentally unable to survive alone. The only exception of this rule is Daycare centers (for obvious reasons) and the Safari Zones who are funded by the local government. Technically the various Zoos are funded by the government, but majority of the funding comes from the public donations, ticket sales and unsurprisingly, merchandises.

"You done your research." The Pikachu trainer was thoroughly surprised at Misty's navigation skills, it seemed that she had the complete layout of the aquarium memorized as they effortlessly make their way to the Artic zone, weaving through the crowds of people with ease. After passing by a large artic pen that had little Eiscues waddling about, miss Waterflower had finally led them to the star attraction of the artic zone.

To say Ash was surprised by what he saw was an understatement, he literally blinked a few times before rubbing his eyes, earning a giggle from Misty who was pleased by his reaction.

"I-Is that an Amaura playing with the Vulpix?" Dawn seemed to share his reaction as she watch the once extinct pokemon having a snowball fight with the equally exotic Alolan Vulpix. There was no mistaking it, the light blue body, the long neck and stubby tail and the deep blue eyes that glistered brightly, this dinosaur looking pokemon is the extinct Tundra pokemon.

"Mhmm! Scientist managed to bring the pokemon back through the restoration of its fossils, isn't that amazing?" Forgoing the possible moral and environmental implications at resurrecting an extinct creature, Ash was wondering how many other extinct pokemon could scientist bring back. He remembered reading a news article that the Kanto Genetic Association also showed a deep interest at bringing back a pair of Omanyte and Kabuto fossil recovered a decade ago by explorers. Has science truly reach such feats as de-extinction?

"It is, I just find it hard to believe. It looked super adorable too." Ah who was he to ponder over such things? He was just a teenager who has 6 girlfriends, two of which are accompanying him right now. Pikachu himself showed interest at the ice type, no not the Amaura but the cute Alolan Vulpix herself. He was at the age where he should be finding a suitable mate, but considering Ash and him had promised each other to travel around the world, the thought of being tied down to take care of his mate and young didn't sound possible.

As the trio gawked and gush over the two ice types chasing each other, an unsuspecting figure started to approach them. She gave the faintest of sighs and took a deep breath to fuel her own confidence before slowly exhaled the air out. She assumed a confident demeanour and started to strut her way towards them with her head held high.

"I figured it was you 3!" Ash almost froze at the familiar voice echoing at his ear. His body trembled, his heart started to pound at an unprecedented rate. Slowly and perhaps agonizingly, he turned his head to meet the very person who called out to him, only to met the last person he wished to see at this very moment.

"M-Miss Lorelei?" The Elite 4 returned with a charming smile and wave a casual hello to them, and while Ash seem to have met with Giratina himself, his two girlfriends seemed to be less shocked or anxious as him. They managed to return the gesture back to the scarlet haired woman who wore her usual black sleeveless blouse and a pair purple pencil skirt.

"Hello to you too Ash, bringing the girls out for a good time eh?" He was a dead man, Ash knew he was absolutely screwed. Lorelei thought he and Bea were going steady and she was right, except that Bea wasn't the only girl he was going steady with. Now with Misty and Dawn clinging close to him, Ash was sure that Lorelei thought he is some cheating bastard. Still, Ash could salvage this situation, to the best of his abilities anyway.

"Uh, yeah, you know we are just- hanging out." It's just 3 roommates hanging out with each other at an aquarium, nothing wrong with that right? Arceus, that excuse sounds horrible especially with his excessive stuttering. Lorelei gave an expressionless smile, if that was even possible. Her stoic and calm demeanour didn't give away her emotions or thoughts, making her incredibly hard to read. Not that Lorelei was an easy woman to read to begin with.

"Mhmm." The ice type master walked towards the frosted panes of glass, her stoic and unwavering expression soon softened into a motherly like state. She smiled at the two pokemon in the enclosure chasing each other, the playful spirit of younglings are always so endearing to watch.

"You are right, the Amaura and Vulpix are adorable." Seeing the perplexed expression of the teenagers, Lorelei pushed her glasses to hid her embarrassment before crossing her arms coolly. People had always think of her as this cold and unapproachable character and while most of the time its fairly true, few people knew her love at collecting stuff toys and pokemon plushies back at her hometown the Sevii Islands.

"I'm a fan of aquariums myself, the thought of being in an underwater world surrounded by the majestic water types swimming around really just makes me feel like a little child again." A starry-eyed Misty felt exactly the same, has she finally found one of her people?

"Really? Have you by any chance visit the Coral Water World miss Lorelei?" Coral Water World host the most vibrant coloured aquatic pokemon in the marine park, from Luvdiscs to Seakings to even deep sea pokemon like Gorebyss and Huntails. It's pretty much the only place in Sinnoh where the local populace gets a chance to see the other aquatic pokemon from other regions.

"Lorelei would be fine dear and to answer your question, I have not. I was about to leave the artic zone when I spotted you 3 gushing over the two little ones over there." Lorelei's sense of timing is impeccable, Ash was wondering how on earth could he get himself out of this rather fragile and delicate situation. For all he knew, this kind looking woman is seething in the inside, cursing him with all of her fury and disdain. Unfortunately for him however, Misty and Dawn were oblivious to his current existential crisis.

"Then is it alright if we join you then?" Misty's admiration for Lorelei is not unexpected, she was her role model and it gave the young Waterflower the strength and drive to become a master of water types herself. So naturally, she would take any chance she can get to get close to Lorelei.

Even if it means asking her to join their date.

"Huh, well I won't mind personally but I'm not interrupting your "hangout" now am I?" Ash knew he was screwed, the emphasis and intonations of the word "hangout" seemed to seal Ash's fate. In all honesty, Ash himself was wondering if the secret of their relationship was already out and open. While their classmates and teachers hasn't mentioned anything about their relationship, surely the way they interact with each other would raise some eyebrows no?

"We don't mind, right Dawn?" The lovable blunette nodded and smiled brightly at the scarlet haired woman. They barely knew each other, only the most basic of introductions and pleasantries were exchanged. But while the Ice Queen of Kanto was cool and confident, she was also very attentive and worried to the very person she assigned herself to protect. The blunette suspected that after the last attempt of assassination on Ash, Lorelei had redoubled her efforts to keep Ash and them safe.

"Not at all." Just like that, Ash knew that there was no chance for him to weave out of the situation. His two girlfriends, while incredibly perceptive when it comes to him, fail to understand what he was feeling at this very moment.

"And what of you Ash? You won't mind this old lady's company now would you?" The way she demean herself to make her look more pitiful just so she could pressure him to accept her company out of guilt was so obvious, but that didn't mean it wasn't working. Not that he would reject her company at the first place anyway, Lorelei is a nice woman and Ash would count himself lucky that he is under her protection and guidance.

"Of course not." She gave a sincere smile and placed her clasped hands in front of her skirt.

"Splendid, then let's take our leave now, the queue is piling up as we speak." Perhaps it was the fact they were accompany a highly respected member of an Elite 4, the once playful and chaotic energy between the group is now replaced by an orderly and respectful atmosphere. Still, Lorelei did engaged into some small talk from time to time and Ash has to say, hearing Lorelei geeking out on the different marine pokemon in the park was amusing to watch. As they reached the Coral Water World, the sea of people that crowded the entrance quickly reminded Ash how much he hates crowds.

"So many people here." After raising an obvious point like an idiot, Ash secretly clasped Misty's and Dawn's hand behind Lorelei's back, pulling them close to him. The two quickly understood Ash's desire and scoot closer to him with Pikachu sitting on Ash's head comfortably.

"Not surprising, this is one of the more popular attractions." He won't lie, the glass dome that shielded them from the aquatic waters didn't seemed too safe or sturdy. But considering that this marine park has been here for decades, he was certain that he was just being overly paranoid. Ash's anxiety level tripled when he noticed the glass floor below him shimmered brightly as a school of Lanturns swam by, weaving through the colourful corals formation and hidden grottos.

"I feel like I'm walking on the sea floor." Granted the sea floor is filled with copious amounts of people and the sound of camera shutters going off every 5 seconds.

"Pika." Pikachu waved hello to the nearby water pokemon swimming by who promptly ignored the electric mouse. His ears drooped disappointingly but the mere pat to the head from Misty cheered Pikachu right back up.

"Hey why don't we take a picture together? I don't think we ever hangout with Lorelei have we?" Dawn brought up her Buneary case covered phone and smiled at the scarlet haired woman. Lorelei has always been reluctant at taking pictures in public and considering Dawn would post those pictures of them on her social media platform, it would just attract unnecessary attention.

"Sure, I like that." Still, she didn't had the heart to decline Dawn's request and it was just a simple picture. Misty grinned and quickly got in position next to her idol, she turned to her boyfriend and smile sweetly at him which probably meant she wants Ash to do something for her.

"Ash would you mind taking the picture for us?" With a flick of his hands, Ash took Dawn's phone and nodded. Unsurprisingly, he was taller than the girls so he often had to be the one who takes the pictures whenever they hangout.

"Leave it to me." Ash decided to exclude himself from the picture and with the help of his Pikachu counting down with his thumbs, Ash managed to snap a few pictures of them together. As the flashes went off, Lorelei smiled and walked towards Ash, eyeing the photo that looked photogenic.

"Make sure you send me a copy." Dawn took back her phone and sent the picture to Lorelei, ending their sea world adventures rather quickly. The older woman glanced at her watch and noticed that it was time for lunch, well for her anyway.

"I'm feeling quite peckish." Ash was not expecting for Lorelei to invite them to lunch. She didn't directly invite them to lunch, but her tone and the obvious attempt to treat them to lunch was for all to see. She probably wants to talk to them, discreetly.

"I know a nice seafood restaurant nearby, they sell quality seafood at an affordable price. Would you three like to join me?" Misty nodded vehemently, the fact her idol was inviting them to lunch was a dream come true to her.

"Of course, you won't mind right Ash?" The young Ketchum has learned that the power balance between his harem is heavily one sided. In other words, Ash as the "harem lord" has a lot of power and say in a lot of things, and the girls always seek his approval and permission first. While he would normally relished the thought of being the shot caller and the man of the house, he didn't particularly like this change of dynamic between the group.

"I don't mind, haven't had seafood in a while." Lorelei beamed and nodded before crossing her arms coyly as she leaned forward just slight.

"Great, but I'm not paying for you kids."

"Hehe of course." Amidst their way back to the restaurant, the group had to dodge a group of zealous fans crowding towards Lorelei. It was difficult for Lorelei to turn their autographs down given they were all just young kids, and she would never had the heart to break theirs, but that didn't meant it didn't annoy her and her growling stomach. Finally after escaping the clutch of the crowd, Lorelei breathed a sigh of relief when the seafood restaurant was within sight. The restaurant itself was build on top of sea waters, with the study wooden beams and stilts supporting the restaurant, if you were to look from afar the restaurant seems to float on the sea.

"Ooh nice place." The Elite 4 smiled proudly at the compliment gave by Dawn, seems like she was doing a good job at impressing the trio. They settled down to an empty table by the sea, with the calming waves of the ocean and warm lighting of the restaurant providing a nice ambience. Pikachu took the oppurtunity to jump to the metallic railings of the waterfront restaurant and gaze out to the big blue sea, watching the boats from all shapes and sizes passing through.

"Is there a washroom here?" Dawn didn't had the oppurtunity to use the bathroom in the aquarium, but the mere thought of using the bathroom of a heavily crowded aquarium didn't sit well with her.

"Down ahead and turn left." Lorelei patted Pikachu's head as she admired the pristine blue sea with the electric type. The sound of Wingulls and Pelippers squawking may seem noisy to others but to Lorelei, it reminded her of her quiet fishing village back in Sevii Island.

"Wait for me Dawn! Look after our bags Ash." The redhead chased after her best friend as the two entered the washroom. Ash peered over Misty's and Dawn's seat respectively and took their handbags and purse, placing them on table top to ensure they are always in his line of sight. As Pikachu curiously sniffed the ketchup bottle that beckoned and stimulated his senses, a dapper looking waiter approached the table with a few sets of menu in his hands.

"May I take your orders?" Lorelei nodded as she browse through the menu, she wasn't sure what would the girls want and the last thing she wants is to order something that they dislike. She peered over the Ketchum teen who looked equally as intrigued by the menu.

"Sure, what would the girls like Ash?"

"Would you mind if we have a shared meal miss Lorelei?" His mother often told him that you could tell how close a group of friends or family are based on whether they share their meals with each other. It sounded ridiculous and absurd at first, but after sharing his meals with the girls numerous times now, Ash was starting to see her logic.

"I don't mind at all." Lorelei gave a small smile as she placed the menu down, letting Ash be the one who orders for them. She wasn't the fussy type when it comes to seafood, as long it's fresh and it's not overpriced, that was well and good in her book. With her confirmation, Ash turned to the waiter and began to point to the different array of dishes.

"Alright, give us the Seafood Platter, Mussel's Delight and the Seafood Aglio Olio." The waiter jot down the orders before repeating all of the orders in quick succesion.

"Right away sir, may we serve now?" With a close of the menu, Ash gave the faintest of nods and handed the menus back to the waiter.

"Yes, please do." Lorelei stirred her drink with her spoon, analyzing the young teen before her. Not surprisingly, Lorelei has done her research on Ash, from his upbringing in Kanto, to his academic achievements and his preferred battle tactics. It confirmed her suspicions that Ash is a gifted trainer who's bravery and courage make him an invaluable ally in any situation, which is probably the reason why Articuno decided to gift Ash her precious plume. Still, seeing a 16 year old boy ordering food for her is both amusing and entertaining.

"What's so funny?" The sudden supressed giggle from the Ice Queen raised Ash's eyebrows, was Lorelei laughing at a joke that she just thought of? The Scarlet haired woman dismissed Ash's amused tone with a wave of her hand and readjusted herself to a more composed position.

"Nothing, it's just weird seeing a teenager ordering for me, I have never been in this situation before." He could understand that. It is weird to see a woman in her 20's dining with a teenager, especially considering that Lorelei was staring at him so intently.

"Didn't we invited you out for dinner that one time?" Ash mentioned matter-of-factly, eyeing his starter who is guarding Misty and Dawn's handbags. Lorelei crossed her arms and legs, remembering the tense atmosphere during their first ever dinner together.

"That was different, it felt more like an mandatory corporate dinner than a casual meal between friends. All of you were very uptight, I felt like I was attending a business meeting." Ash shrugged, her position as an Elite 4 made her very difficult to approach. He remember how silent the the dinner was, perhaps one of the most silent and tense dinner he ever had in his life. Hell, even eating cup ramen alone in his room provided more cheer.

"You are an Elite 4." Lorelei expected such answer, but that didn't meant it didn't hurt.

"I like to think that my position shouldn't get in the way at how we communicate with one another." It was honestly wishful thinking on her part, she knew how much her position and title bothered Ash on a personal level. He had always made an effort to let her know that she shouldn't waste her time on protecting a random child, perhaps not knowing the significant importance of Articuno's plume. She frowned at the silence from the Pallet Town native and gave a small sigh, perhaps she should take a more direct approach, she loathed this quiet and distance vibe Ash was giving her.

"You have been awfully quiet Ash." The boy visibly jolted back, rather comically too despite the serious mood.

"Huh?" Lorelei puller her chair closer as she clasped her hands together on the table, does she really need to spell it out for him?

"Am I bothering you?" The concerned tone from the Ice Queen was not expected. She was genuinely worried that her presence has intruded his way of living. But for Ash, he never held it against her and has always been appreciative to her unwavering efforts and patience. As someone who has brushed death's door time and time again, he could understand why Lorelei seemed so tensed and stress about her job. Ultimately, she would be blamed and be responsible for whatever happens to him.

"No no of course not, it's just- I'm busted now am I?" Lorelei chuckled at Ash's defeated look, so this was what he was worried about. A teasing smile crept on her to her lips as she leaned to the back of her chair, Ash looked mighty adorable with his caught red-handed look. The flushed red cheeks and the bashful look was a stark contrast from his usual relax and chirpy attitude.

"That depends? Busted for not informing me that you are going out with the girls despite I told you to? Yes. Busted for being in a polygamous relationship? Not so." The fact she stated it so directly and bluntly meant she knew his risqué relationship with the girls for a long time now. She relaxed her look when she noted Ash's guilt-ridden face and assumed a more gentle expression and tone. She didn't came here to chide him on his relationship with the girls, that could be saved on another day.

"Ash, my job is to ensure that you and the lovely ladies stay safe. I couldn't care less at what kind of relationship you have with them, however bizarre and surprising the relationship may be." Seeing the sincere smile plastered on her face, Ash gave a small smile and nodded meekly. He felt like he was a child being lecturer by his mother all over again. In truth, Lorelei has all the right to be disappointed at him, yet she didn't show any disdain or disgust which was odd considering Articuno did trust him with her plume.

"Besides, I already knew from the start." Ash would have jump into the nearby sea if he could when Lorelei smirked, but saner thoughts prevailed. The fact she seen through their relationship almost instantly was worrying. If she saw right through them from the start, what about their friends and classmates who have been with them from the start of the semester? Surely they know about it too right?

"Y-You did? Since when?" She leaned her cheek against her hand, giving a small toying smile that showed her enjoyment at teasing Ash. She has never been in this situation before, having a young teenager at her mercy was oddly satisfying. A phrase that is highly questionable when taken out of context.

"When we first met at Snowpoint, seeing 5 girls hugging a boy together does raise some suspicion and alarm bells you know?" There was no arguing with her logic there. In hindsight, Ash was sure that very moment cemented their classmates and teacher's suspicious that the 6 of them were more than just friends. They just chose to remain silent and oblivious about it.

"I guess so." Admittedly, she was surprised and disturbed by the polygamous relationship at first, after all Ash seemed to be this shy and quiet teen who is low profile. But after a few weeks of research by talking to the teachers and students, she concluded that perhaps it was not her place to judge Ash and the girls for whatever relationship they pursue with each other. After all, if Articuno of all Legendries entrusted Ash with her precious plume, it shows that Ash is at the very least a decent human being.

"But, as long you are treating them right, I see no problem. I'm only in charge of your safety, the rest is up to you." In a few years time Ash and the girls would be legally adults, where their parents can no longer dictate and decide their relationship for them. Of course, freedom also meant that you are responsible for whatever consequences that comes with it and Ash knew that the road ahead would be challenging and difficult. The girls have ambitious dreams unlike him, and he knew full well that news of their polygamous relationship would destroy any chance or oppurtunity for them to achieve it.

'There's still so much to consider.' Although the girls had reassured him that whatever happens to their career and future would be on them, Ash could never bear the guilt knowing that Misty's dream of becoming a water type master or Serena's desire to become a Kalos queen would never be achieved because of him. Their career is arguably more important than him, financial and career independence is important in this day and age, especially for girls.

"Ash?" Lorelei's tone of concern broke his stupor. He forged a false smile and nodded, pushing away the depressing thoughts for the time being. He hasn't properly replied her now has he?

"I'm sorry for keeping it a secret." The perceptive woman nodded, she could tell Ash is having second thoughts over his relationship with the girls. Although she would have encourage him to reevaluate his relationship with the girls, Lorelei has also promised him that she won't get in the way of his life. So for now, she would had to be neutral with her stance.

'He would come to me if he needs my advice.' Provided if Ash trust her enough in the first place.

"I understand and apology accepted young man, just make an effort to notify me if you plan to bring the girls out for a good time. I trust that you know what you are doing." This was not the conversation he was expecting, Ash thought Lorelei would be giving him a furious lecture at how disappointed she was at him. Yet she seemed almost motherly and warm to him, it was honestly a nice feeling for Ash since his mother was the only adult who actively looked after him.

"But seriously, how do you have the time and energy to date all of them? I've been dates before and I've been utterly drained to the core, and the only thing we did were just chatting during dinner." Unsurprisingly, Lorelei had went on a few dates before. One with Bruno which only ended at the aforementioned dinner and one with a classmate whom she had a crush on when she was a teenager. They met each by chance during a class reunion dinner. Things went smoothly between them, until he raised the idea of her retiring from the Elite 4 to live with him.

Suffice to say, that little fling between them ended that night.

"It is tiring but I enjoyed it." Ash underestimated the sheer draining capabilities of a date. He thought it would be nice and simple but apparently when you focus all of your energy and emotions into one person for a long time, you get tired very quickly. As Ash dreaded at the thought of going on more dates, Lorelei leaned forward as she struck a thinking pose, tapping her finger against her cheek every now and then.

"So you brought May, Misty and Dawn out huh? Who's next-" The nonchalanceness in her voice was terrifying.

"Wait you knew about my date with May?" Ash regretted his words once Lorelei gave him the look, of course she knew about his date with May! Why else she is here now?

"Ash, do you honestly think it is a coincidence that I happen to stumble upon you 3 at an aquarium?" The sudden shift of her tone to serious and stern quickly changed the atmosphere of the conversation. Pikachu sat on his trainer's shoulder as the older woman crossed her arms in a cold and cool manner.

"No."

"The Rockets and Galactics had not given up their goals and ambitions, in fact they have redoubled their efforts since they lost their Headquarters in Snowpoint, which means you are in constant danger." It was the harsh truth that Ash actively tried to forget but inevitably, he knew that he was not in a position to feign ignorance. He rarely goes out anymore and unless the girls drag him out of it, he would stay at the confines of his home. Even this date they were on is risky itself, endangering the lives of the girls he held dear and the innocent bystanders who just happened to walk by.

"I know, you don't need to remind me." The forceful and bitter tone from Ash cause Lorelei to soften her look. Perhaps she should take a different approach to this, Ash is stressed enough. He never asked for this and unlike her, he does not have the necessary skills or mental fortitude to handle this situation. He took a huge gamble to liberate and free Articuno all by himself, a gamble which ended in a decisive victory for Ash and Kanto.

"Take things slowly alright? I'm sure the girls would understand your position, going date after date place a lot of burden on the body, on top of assignments and school work. Your test should be coming up soon right? Have you been studying?" Sometimes Ash forgets that Lorelei is an actual qualified teacher, so this little lecture and nagging from her shouldn't really surprise him. Of course, she would be worried for his studies and health, she was his guardian and teacher after all.

"I have, don't worry about me miss Lorelei, I know when to rest and stop." Lorelei had a hard time believing Ash, she really did. She gave the deepest of sighs as she stirred her drink, eyeing Ash's shoulder blades with great interest.

"You say that when you barely recovered from the last attack, one of the Bisharp landed a nasty blow- " The young teen almost slammed the table as soon as those words left her mouth. He quickly calmed himself once he attracted the attention of other customers who's calm lunch was disrupted by Ash's sudden erratic behavior. With an apologetic nod Ash sat back down and cleared his throat to get rid of the embarrassing scene he was causing.

"Shh, you promised you keep it between us! I don't want the girls to know." Lorelei was displeased when Ash conveniently left out the fact a Bisharp managed to sneak in a Night Slash on his body when he sought refuge under Gurkinn. It was a deep cut, the serrated blades barely scraped the bone as it sink into the flesh. What's more worrying, was the fact humans aren't made to withstand pokemon attacks, particularly from Dark type moves that often leave unexpected side effect and consequences. Inevitably, Ash did inform Lorelei regarding his minor injury and as expected, Lorelei gave Ash a firm lecture and scolded him harshly for hiding something so severe from her.

"You can't keep hiding things from them Ash!" He had begged her not to inform the girls of his injuries, his reasoning was that the girls are already worried enough. A petty reason but Lorelei did agree to his terms, poor boy was just trying to protect the girls from grief and sorrow. Just as Ash was about to counter back, Misty and Dawn returned from the washroom with a wide smile on their faces, ending their conversation effectively much to Ash's relief.

"Oh hey girls, we already ordered for you." Lorelei shifted her tone to a more friendly one, eyeing Misty and Dawn who readjusted their chair closer to Ash. They certainly aren't subtle when it comes to their relationship with Ash.

"Ooh thanks miss Lorelei." The Ice Queen merely smiled, she would play along with Ash's rules for now.

"Ash where are you taking me?" The adorable tone of concern from Serena was a delight to Ash's ears. He held her waist and gently pulled her hand with his other hand, leading the blindfolded Kalos native to Arceus knows where. He carefully cross over the uneven forest floors, pulling Serena's hand close to him as he could barely make out the path in front of him. Fortunately for Ash, Pikachu's Light Screen ability provided some form of illumination for them.

"Hold on, we're almost there."

"This is very sketchy Ash, I don't like this." When Ash brought her out for the date, Serena was absolutely ecstatic. She dreamed of spending some quality alone time with Ash for ages and tonight, this was their moment! That was until Ash asked her to wear casually and blindfolded her with a cloth as they entered a car. In essence, no sane person would ever trust someone to blindfold them but Ash was someone Serena trust wholeheartedly.

Besides if this was some kind of roleplay-

"Trust me Serena, you would love it." Her worries were slightly relieved but given how quiet her surroundings in, Serena concluded they weren't in a city, or at least somewhere isolated enough where there is the absence of cars and engines. But just before Serena can address the issue of her being blindfolded, Ash suddenly halted his footsteps.

"Alright stop." Serena felt her blindfold being untied as she slowly regain vision back to her eyes. She started to look around her and noted that they were in a forest clearing, with rows of pine trees scattered across the field. The lush green grass they were standing on was barely visible given how dark it was, but Serena could tell they were in a meadow. She finally turned to the very person who blindfolded her and was confused at why he brought her here for their date.

"Ash why did you brought me here?" Wordlessly, Ash laid down on the grass and pointed to the stars above him with a wide nostalgic smile on his face.

"The view may not be as pretty as the one in Pallet, but I think this is a pretty good spot for stargazing." Serena gasped at the millions of stars shining in the skies, each in different colours and sizes. The lack of clouds provided them a clear view of the sky, as if the entire solar system was theirs to admire. Starstrucked by the view, Serena sat next to Ash and gaze upon the starry skies filled with vibrant shades of blue and purple contrasting each other.

"It's beautiful, I can see all the stars in the skies! Is that why we have to take the cab out of the city?" The so called "cab" Serena was referring to was actually Lorelei. The Kanto teen made a quick glance to the nearby hills, smiling at the fact his guardian was standing guard watching them with a amused smile on her face. It was awkward at first, but when Lorelei convinced her that she could help with setting up a more intimate and private date with her guaranteeing their security, Ash didn't hesitate to accept her generous offer.

"Pretty much, it's hard to find a decent spot for stargazing in the city, but out here we are spoiled for choice." He had spent substantial amount of time searching for the best stargazing spots in a city and while Google proved to be useful, all of the places it recommends were either too far or too expensive. In fact Lorelei was the one who suggested that stargazing should be in a quiet and secluded spot, close to the heart of nature and far away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Even still, as much as Ash reveled in the silence of gazing up the starts and ponder life's greatest questions and mystery, it just wasn't the same without Serena. He realized that the shared memory they both had should be treasured deeply, and tranquil and peaceful times like this are rare enough to come by.

"I don't remember much about our childhood, but I do know that we used to camp outside my house and watch the stars together in our sleeping bags. I thought it would be nice to rekindle that memory again." For Ash this was a rather lackluster date but for Serena, it did brought her much joy that Ash remembered something from their childhood. Stargazing was one of their favourite activities to do at night, a stark contrast to their usual high energy activities such as playing tag or hide and seek. Perhaps it was the silence, the pretty stars or each other's company, there's something about stargazing with a friend (or crush) that just feels real and sincere.

"That's very sweet of you Ash." The two huddled closer, with Serena reaching for Ash's hand as their fingers interlocked together. Amidst the cool breeze and the calm ambience, Ash was beginning to wonder how the hell did he managed to not fall asleep all this time. The Honey blonde's warm and supple body was just luring him to sleep.

"This is nice." He shifted to Serena, watching her sapphire blue eyes sparkled at the sight of the starry skies above her. Perhaps he underestimated how much stargazing meant to Serena.

"What is?" It was a rhetorical question of course, but Ash still wants to know, a great way to keep a conversation going.

"Nothing it's just- I dreamed of this for so long." He knew she longed to reunite with him, but to watch the stars together in the veil of night? That sounds oddly specific.

"Really, your dreams are filled with stargazing with me?" She knew it was a rather silly dream, but Ash shaped much of her childhood. He left a significant impact in her life, one which is still tangible to this day. Growing up in Kalos, she was a shy girl who often kept to herself and while the kids in her kindergarten are all having fun together during recess, she was mostly alone reading a book. Ash was truly the only one who reached out for her, both figuratively and literally.

"Hey don't make fun of me, it's not wrong to dream about your crush." Ash sat upright with the support of his elbow, eyeing Serena and her flushed face that a tint of red on it. He smiled and gently pulled her to arms, cuddling her close to him as he reveled in her scent and warmth.

"I'm flattered Serena." Truly he was, I mean a pretty girl have dreams about him! That's a win. The honey blonde teen smiled coyly and leaned onto Ash's chest, feeling his thumping heartbeat and his fingers that was running through her hair. The two settled into a quiet and quaint mood, with the occasional rise and fall of Ash's chest being the only source of movement.

"Do you know why I like stargazing so much?" The sudden question from Serena didn't surprised Ash, but he didn't necessary know the answer to it to. Stargazing has always been associated with a sentimental and nostalgic type of activity and considering it helped formed their childhood, Ash knew that gazing upon the beautiful stars is more than just a hobby for Serena.

"Pretty stars?" Still, Ash liked to act dumb to make the conversation longer.

"It helps me destress and allows me to think." Pikachu took the oppurtunity to place its paw behind his head as it laid on the grassy terrain, glancing upon the stars above where his forefathers and ancestors reside. Like humans, Pokemon have their own beliefs and culture and for Pikachu himself, he believes that the stars above, visible or not are the spirits of those who came before him, watching him and guiding him with their all-knowing knowledge.

"About what?" Serena didn't seemed to be the type to be stress over anything. She seemed fairly happy go lucky with no troubles or worries plaguing her. Perhaps Ash didn't know her as well as he initially thought?

"Anything really, the future, the universe, life in general, my accomplishment and my failures. Everything comes to mind when I just lay down and look upon the stars you know? But enough about me, how about you? What do you think about when you gaze upon the stars?" Ash leaned to Serena's cheek, racking his brain around the question Serena pose to him. What does he think about when gazing upon the stars? A simple question yet a complicated answer.

"I'm not too sure to be honest, all I can think about is what's out there and how small we are compared to the universe." The known and the unknown, the universe is always so mysterious. The different pokemon that humans had yet to discover, the exotic and uncharted lands that had not yet be unraveled, there's so many things to question when you have the time to question them.

"You are the adventurous type, so no surprised there. You always say that you would the world's greatest explorer." The flushed face from Ash made Serena grinned. Did he really say something that childish and silly before?

"W-What? Did I really say that?" Serena decided to entertain Ash by embarrassing him.

"Mhmm, you even promise me that you would take me as your wife and together we will travel around the world." She stifled a laugh when Ash covered his face with his hands, avoiding any form of eye contact between them. Admittedly, Serena find it funny that Ash proposed to her at such a young age, but she would be lying if she said she disliked that thought.

"Oh Arceus."

"Hehe come on Ash, there's no need to be shy~" Serena playfully leaned towards Ash, pulling his hands apart from his face just so she could get a clear view of him. The crimson red cheeks and the shy look was all up for precious display.

"I can't believe I said that." How many silly promises he has given to Serena? What other dark secrets she knew of him from their childhood? The raven haired teen rubbed his arm, with memories of Serena and him roleplaying as adventurers and archeologists springing back to mind.

"So you don't want to marry me?" The tone of utter pain and despair from Serena made Ash panicked. Perhaps he was in the heat of the moment to think properly, but anyone could tell that Serena was just joking, well partially.

"NO! I mean- of course, it's just- you know I-"

"I'm kidding Ash, you don't have to marry me." Part of her wished she didn't say that, but she did understand that it was a just silly promise he made when they were just kids. It didn't mean anything back then so it shouldn't matter now.

"It's still too early for us to talk about marriage." Serena was taken aback when Ash grasped her hand, staring at her sapphire eyes with a sincere and kind smile. What was a playful banter has swiftly turned into a serious discussion about their future.

"I know." The honey blonde teen knew that the issue of marriage would become a prickly thorn to their polygamous relationship. Whoever Ash marries first would ultimately be the one who is recognized as he legal wife, as least on the side of the law. There are few countries that recognizes polygamous relationship and unfortunately for them, Sinnoh is not one of them. Personally for Serena, the topic of marriage is something they shouldn't bother with right now, but Ash seemed to think otherwise.

"But, I don't go back on my promises." Serena gasped in surprise when Ash pulled her for an unexpected but entirely welcome kiss. She quickly melt into the kiss, pressing her dainty hands against Ash's toned chest. Her hands make their way around Ash's neck, snaking them as she felt Ash's hands rubbing her waist in a sensual manner. But just as things between them were about to get frisky, the rational side of Ash quickly reminded him that Lorelei was watching them.

With great reluctance, Ash parted his lips from Serena and grinned at her flushed red face that screamed sexy. He smiled and pulled her to his lap, hugging her tightly to his body as she mewed at his embrace and warmth.

"Listen Serena, I will be real. I'm not sure how long our relationship would last, but until then, I want to spend as much as time as I can with you and the girls." It would be naive to assume that all 7 of them would stay inseparable for all of eternity. Ash knew that this relationship between them would realistically not last long. People change over time and the things they want changes with them. He just wished that when they do inevitably leave this relationship with him, it would be one with no regrets or ill-intent, just happy and fond memories.

"I don't expect much Ash, you being here with me is enough for me. Just stay with me." The soft whispers from her silky honey voice sent shivers down Ash's spine. He smiled and pulled her closer to him, pressing his forehead against hers as they laid on the grassy meadows and under the view of a starry sky.

"We have all the time in the world Serena." As those words left Ash's mouth, the two lovebirds seem to doze off together as they relished each other's company and warmth. Lorelei for the most part was surprised by the level of intimacy the two shared with one another, she initially thought Ash was the shy and passive one but given his unique position of having multiple girlfriends, she wasn't thoroughly surprised by his suave and somewhat romantic nature.

As Lorelei glanced at her watch to note the time, her Glaceon who curled on top of her lap started to give out a yawn. This little one was gifted by a friend of hers, so you can imagine the absolute look of pure joy when Lorelei first cradled the Eevee in her arms.

"Wait a little longer alright? Let the two enjoy their time together." Admittedly, Lorelei herself was getting tired and she would love to crawl back to the comfort of her bed and hugged her favourite plushie to sleep.

"Its 11:39 now, I will wake them up when midnight strikes." In the mean time, Lorelei decided to do some star gazing of her own. Serene and tranquil moment such at these are difficult to come by for her, her role as an Elite 4 meant that she is always busy handling regional affairs and thwarting threats that would otherwise harm Kanto. A highly stressful and difficult job, but a role that she was honoured to have nevertheless. Of course, at the decisive age of 25, the topic of settling down and getting married had started to make its rounds in her daily conversations. Neighbors, colleagues and even adoring fans had always pestered her and to be completely honest, Lorelei was feeling that societal pressure to get married before she turns 30.

Nevertheless, her strong and independent nature is seen as an inspiration to many young girls out there. Many people looked up to her and Lorelei knew she would have to lead as an example to the future generation. She had always encourage her students to take charge of their future rather than letting their parents decide for them, a commitment that she takes pride in.

"Glace!" The ice type nuzzled her watch, alerting Lorelei that it was already a little past midnight. The scarlet hair woman sighed before she recalled her Glaceon into her pokeball, looks like Ash and Serena's date session is reaching its end. She made her way down the meadow, inhaling the fresh cool air of the forest and admiring the charming view of the starry sky. She reached her two unsuspecting students and smiled at how content the two were, particularly Serena as she had a huge smile on her face.

"Wake up." Lorelei whispered as she shook Ash's shoulder, earning a groan of displeasure as the young man began to stir. His starter waved to the Ice Queen, earning a chuckle and a headpat to the electric type. It is always nice to see the young Pikachu, as inexperience as they are, the electric mouse and his canine comrade shared an unfaltering loyalty to their trainer.

"Lorelei." Ash seemed to finally grasp the situation after rubbing his eyes for the briefest of moment. He quickly realized that he was spooning Serena in such an intimate manner before giving off a sheepish grin that did little to hid his embarrassment and nervousness.

"Geez, you two really fell asleep huh?" Ash managed the stiffest of nod and stared at the dark cloud that engulfed the once clear skies. Any intention of stargazing is now rendered hopeless given the rolling clouds that formed a blockade.

"What time is it?"

"It's already past midnight, I think it's time for you two to head home, you still have classes tomorrow." Lorelei refrained from going to full lecture mode given she is outside of school, but she did want Ash and Serena to have a good night's rest before starting their class. The young teen seemed to share her sentiments since he nodded in agreement, but given that Serena was still fast asleep, Ash decided that waking the sleeping beauty up would be too cruel of an action.

"She's still asleep." Lorelei pointed the obvious as she crossed her arms, wondering when would Ash wake her up. To her surprised, Ash decided to carry Serena bridal style as he firmly hold onto her sleeping body. She giggled when she saw the red flushed cheeks appearing on the young man's face, looks like someone is still shy~

With Serena secured in Ash's arms, they made the small walk back to Lorelei's car, parked nicely under shade of a tall Cypress tree. Of course with his hands preoccupied, Ash had to wait for Lorelei to open the door for them, to which she quickly understood and acted. She gave an amused grin when Ash held Serena preciously in his arms, does he treat each of his girls this nicely? If so, she could see why they gave Ash a shot. The young boy has always strike Lorelei as the honest and sincere type, which was well and good in her book.

"I'm impressed Ash, you really know how to make girls fall for you huh." Lorelei buckled up her seatbelt and readjusted the rear-view mirror to get a better look on Ash and his sleeping companion. How on earth Serena managed to sleep through the motions and the conversations was beyond Lorelei, maybe the Kalosian is a heavy sleeper?

"I honestly don't know what they see in me." Ash spoke candidly, with his arm still around Serena's shoulder. He glanced at the row of pine tree they passed by, enjoying the absence of cars and the radio.

"Well some like the looks, some like the chase and some like the mystery. But you on the other hand, well you are full of surprises." Ash wasn't sure what Lorelei was implying, but he took it as a compliment nevertheless. He knew he was a fairly good looking teen but he won't say he was a mysterious or charismatic person who can win the hearts or minds of others. How he and the girls ended in their current relationship was all by chance, a string of events that shaped their friendship as a whole.

"If you are tired, you can doze off first, I will wake you two up once we reach your place." Her nurturing voice made Ash smiled, honestly, Lorelei is such a nice woman. He initially thought she was a cold and emotionless person who's calculative and unapproachable, an impressed forged by her impressive battles against her opponents. But right now, Lorelei seemed like that cool friend that you haven't seen in years, yet are able to strike up a conversation with them effortlessly.

"It's fine." Ah the typical teenager answer.

"Thank you Lorelei, I couldn't have plan this without you." Lorelei smiled and nodded, it was nice that her efforts to help Ash was acknowledged. Still, she did wish he told her earlier.

"If you had told me earlier about your dates, you could have bought May, Misty and Dawn to some place more secluded and private- but I'm not saying the dates you brought them were bad! There's something special when you are alone with the ones you love you know?" Ash chuckled when Lorelei made a quick recovery. He knew what Lorelei meant and honestly, he knew it was his fault that the 3 girls had a rather lackluster date. Well, maybe not Dawn and Misty since they enjoyed their time at the aquarium, May's date was by far the most boring and disappointing one, at least according to Ash himself.

"I guess, but it is kinda awkward knowing that you are always watching." The Sevii Island native smiled wryly, Ash did had a point and she could understand his position given her popular and sensational status. But she would rather to be the creepy stalker that keeps an eye on Ash than to forgo her duties as his guardian just to make Ash feel less awkward in his date. That is a comprise that Ash and his girls just have to accept.

"Oh like that kiss you gave Serena just now? You two were really into it you know." She just have to remind him of that does she?

"Yeah let's not talk about that." She wasn't going to let him off the hook that easily.

"Why not? Are you planning to do something frisky with Serena if you know I wasn't watching?" Lorelei's tone went from cheeky to flirty real quickly, so much so that Ash didn't expect it. As for the various frisky scenarios with Serena, well Ash can happily say that Serena was more adventurous and aggressive than he initially thought.

"Uh-"

"Hehe, just teasing Ash. I can see why Bea likes teasing you now." Lorelei seemed to accept the idea of his polygamous relationship rather well, which did gave Ash some sense of hope that maybe others would be open to that idea too. It was a naive thought and considering Lorelei is not exactly an average or ordinary person, Ash was just inhaling copium at this point.

The rest of the trip back home was silent, with only Lorelei's soft humms keeping Ash awake. The young man sighed as he stretched his arms, only for a sudden sting of pain to pierce his shoulders. It would be a minor reaction to some, but Lorelei was quick to catch on.

"Are you okay?" Ash managed a nod, his back was probably sored after gym and the fact he might had overworked his body for his past few days, nothing to worried about though.

"Yeah my back hurts a little." Maybe he can ask Dawn to give him a massage again, it certainly won't hurt to pay the blunette a visit and try his luck. Granted, a massage would probably be the last thing on his mind if he visit Dawn right now.

"Told you that you are overworking yourself." Lorelei steered the car towards their the lobby of the condo, she glanced at he dark clouds that had flashes of lightning coursing through them with the loud boom of thunder trailing behind, looks like they were just in time.

"I'm fine, it's nothing a good night sleep can't fix." With Serena still asleep, Ash unbuckled his seatbelt and picked the young blonde up. Fortunately, the doorman of the condominium recognized Ash, so there was no call to the security for suspicious activity. Seriously, carrying a defenseless girl to your house in the middle of the night seemed plenty of dodgy.

"Please get some rest Ash, and take care of Serena alright?" Ash nodded to Lorelei's words, holding Serena in his arms as he ignored the eyebrow raising receptionist and security guards.

"Will do ma'am." Lorelei scowled at Ash's intention of making her sound older than she is.

"Don't ma'am me young man, now go get some rest." The young man chuckled as the Ice Queen of Kanto drove off, leaving Pikachu and him to their own devices. With a nod to the various staff of the condo, Ash awkwardly entered the lift with a sleeping Serena purring in his arms, much to his embarrassment and delight.
