*Street & Dingo had returned to Robotropolis, but Robotnik was not happy with them*
Dr. Robotnik: You lost the hedgehogs! You destroyed my Command Ship! I'm done with you! Take them to the Roboticizer Room!
*Two Swat-Bots came towards them*
Sleet: Wait, Your Excellency! I have something you must see! The hedgehogs!
*Robotnik was leaving the room, but stopped when he heard that*
Dingo: Yeah. The hedgehogs. We saw em!
Dr. Robotnik: Wait. *the Swat-Bots stopped* This had better be good.
Sleet: I recovered this from the ship. *he pulled out a disk* It shows -
Dr. Robotnik: Silence! *he took the disk & put it in the computer. it showed footage of Ayla, Sonic, Sonia, & Manic training with Gandar* They're training! The Oracle is up to this! All right. Since I am such a benevolent ruler, I will give you one last chance.
*Sleet & Dingo kneeled before Robotnik & kissed his hand*
Sleet: Thank you, Your Excellency. Thank you. Thank you.
*Feeling disgusted, Robotnik took his hand away*
Dr. Robotnik: Stop that! Now, get up and pay attention!
*Sleet & Dingo stood up*
Sleet: Oh, yes Your Wonderfulness.
Dr. Robotnik: Search the northern plains. Find the Oracle's cave, then report back to me. Now leave!
Sleet: Yes sir. We will not fail you sir.
*He & Dingo left the room*
Dr. Robotnik:*to a Swat-Bot* Ready a ship. It's time to hunt down the Resistance.
(Ayla's POV)
*It's already been a day since we began training here at the temple. Today, me, Sonic, Sonia, & Manic were in a training simulation, just like yesterday. The place we were in this time was a foggy mountain. Suddenly, a giant green dragon appeared in the air above us. We all screamed as it breathed fire at us. Sonic grabbed Sonia & Manic by the wrists & I jumped on his back. We all zoomed away & into a foggy forest next to big castle*
Ayla: Man, this fog's as thick as pea soup.
Sonia: I know. I can barley see.
Manic: Good. Then maybe the dragon can't see either. *suddenly, we all heard the dragon's roar, making us jump* Nope. Looks like it's not gonna be a problem for it.
Sonic: No biggie. I can handle him.
Ayla: Sonic! We're supposed to work together, remember!?
Sonic: Hey, Ayla. No problem-o. I learned my lesson. *he touched his medallion & his guitar appeared* Let's see if we can get these puppies to work.
Sonia: Remember, they only become weapons if we're in harmony.
*Her keyboard appeared & so did Manic's drums. I just shrugged & summoned my microphone & speaker*
Manic: Yo, I'm feeling rightously harmonious. How about a little drum-roll?
Sonic: Oh man. All this concentrating makes my head hurt.
Sonia & Ayla: Sonic!
Sonic: Okay. Okay. Hit it, sis!
*Sonia played a few notes on her keyboard & a laser shot out of it*
Sonia: Wow . . .
Sonic: All right! Rock n' roll!
*He played a note on his guitar & shot a laser upwards*
Manic: Crashin'! *he hit his drums & the whole ground started to shake* Whoa! Gotta love this!
Ayla: Hmm . . . I wonder . . . *I sang into the microphone & white waves came out of it. just then, Sonic, Sonia, & Manic all had a dazed look in their eyes. I quickly stopped singing* Are you guys okay?
*All three hedgehogs shook their heads, snapping out of it*
Sonic: Whoa! That was mondo weird.
Sonia: Felt like I was losing control of my body.
Manic: Same here. You think that could like be your new power, Ayla?
Ayla: Maybe . . .
*Suddenly, the dragon came flying towards us. Sonic & Sonia hit it with laser blasts, but they didn't seem to have any effect. Manic played his drums & the ground shook again. Me, Sonic, & Sonia lost our balance & a rock came out of the ground, shooting towards the sky. But the dragon dodged it. I noticed something*
Ayla:*in her mind* That thing sure moved fast to avoid the rocks. Like it didn't want to touch them.
Sonic: Yo, Manic! What's the matter with you!? What good's an earthquake when that thing flying!?
Ayla: Cut him a break, Sonic! He was just trying to help!
*The instruments disappeared*
Sonia: Well, so much for harmony.
Sonic: Oh boy. I blew it. Sorry, Manic.
Manic: It's okay. Just get us into the castle really quick!
*We all grabbed on to Sonic & he zoomed us into the castle. The dragon started to breath fire, destroying the drawbridge just as we made it inside*
Sonic: Whoa! Scratch one escape route. *he touched his medallion & his guitar appeared* At least we got em back.
*Manic brought out his drums. Sonia & I watched the dragon*
Ayla: You thinking what I'm thinking?
Sonia: Yeah. It doesn't land. It just hovers.
Ayla: And when Manic shot that rock at it, it seemed afraid of it.
Manic: And that would mean . . .?
Sonic: Duck!
*We dodged a breath of fire*
Sonia: I think it's an air elemental.
Sonic: Yeah, that'd be my guess. *he paused* What the heck is that!?
Sonia: It's a creature of the air. If it touches the earth, it will be destroyed.
Sonic: Where do you get this stuff?
Sonia: We like to call it "school".
*I giggled at that. Even in this world, my brother isn't very studious*
Sonic: Heh. Oh yeah. That.
Ayla: Do you think you can push a plate of earth up to hit the dragon?
Manic: I can try.
Ayla: Great. I'll use my singing on the dragon. I think I can manipulate it to lower itself down just enough for you to hit it with a earthquake.
Sonic: Well, here's your chance. Incoming!
*The dragon was flying down towards us. I touched my medallion & my microphone & speaker appeared*
Ayla: You guys might wanna cover your ears.
*They nodded & covered their ears. I then started to sing*

*When I finished singing, the dragon was completely under my control. I then spoke my command into my microphone*
Ayla: Lower yourself down. Close to the ground. *the dragon followed my command & began to hover closer to the ground* Now, Manic!
*Manic uncovered his ears & did a drum-roll. A rock shot out of the ground & hit the dragon. Then it exploded.
Manic: Wow!
Ayla: Awesome!
Sonic: The pretty much sums it up.
*Suddenly, the castle started to shake*
Manic: What now!?
*Pieces of the castle fell on us*
Sonic: Oh no! We gotta get outta here!
*The next thing we knew, we were back at the temple. Sonia sighed in relief*
Thelonious: Young Manic. You were disappointed because the others had wonderful powers, while yours seem small.
Manic: Yeah, I guess so.
Thelonious: Yours, along with Ayla's, are the most powerful gifts of all. But they must be used carefully.
Sonic: Way past cool. Manic the Earth-Shaker and Ayla the Hypnotist.
Thelonious: But remember, control of the earth and mind can set off forces beyond your control. You must be careful.
*Just then, he held in head, like he was in pain*
Sonia: Thelonious, what is it!?
Thelonious: Many souls in Robotropolis have been lost.
Sonic: Yo Big T, what do you mean?
Thelonious: Look.
*His hand glowed & saw showed images of a part of Robotropolis being attacked. Two Swat-Bots surrounded a brown male mouse with red hair, brown eyes, & wearing yellow sunglasses, a red vest over a yellow shirt, a brown belt, blue pants & blue sandals*
Sonic: That's Trevor! A bud of mine in the Resistance!
Ayla: Are you sure?
Sonic: I'd know those hippie clothes anywhere. We gotta go back! We gotta!
*Soon, were all packed*
Thelonious: Please reconsider. Your training is incomplete young friends. You are not ready to leave.
Sonic: Sorry Big T. Gotta do it.
Ayla: Sonic, can we talk about this?

*Sonia covered his mouth*

*He zapped us with a blue light & the next thing I knew, we were in Robotropolis*
Sonia: Must be the maid's day off.
Sonic: Too bad he didn't set down in Robotnik's Headquarters.
Ayla: Looks like we've gotta find our own way in.
Manic: Gotcha covered, man. What you need is the Mouse Patrol. *we all looked at him in confusion. soon, we were standing outside Robotnik's Headquarters* There's special passageway here. Mouse Patrol is the first job the Thieves Guild assigns to kids. Stealing food and stuff from Robotnik.
*He pulled out a set of keys & used them to open a vent door. We all went inside*
Sonia: I think it's disgusting. Teaching kids to steal.
Ayla: Maybe so. But as long as they steal from Robotnik, I couldn't care less.
Sonic: Could we debet this later. Let's not forget about Trevor.
*We crawled through the vents until we heard voices. We followed them until we came to a room. Dr. Robotnik was there & he was talking a male yellow mink wearing fancy clothes. I could see beads of sweat trailing down his face*
Sonia:*whispering* Bartleby!
Sonic:*whispering* You know that guy?
Sonia:*whispering* That's Bartleby MontClair . . . My fiance.
Ayla:*whispering* Fiance!?
Sonia:*whispering* Lady Windermere's decision. Not mine.
Bartleby: But how would I know where Sonia is, sir?
Dr. Robotnik: Because she's your fiancee!
Bartleby: Sir, you can hardly hold me responsible for her actions. And I think my yearly contributions to your cause prove my loyalty.
Sonia:*whispering* That old Bartleby always walls on the fine line.

*Just then, a Robotized version of Lady Windermere came in the room, holding a tray of drinks*
Bartleby: Why . . . Isn't that?
Dr. Robotnik: I see you recognize the latest edition to my staff.
Sonia:*whispering* Lady Windermere!
Dr. Robotnik: She opposed me. That's in such poor taste. *Sonia started crying. he took a drink from the tray* Ah. Don't you agree, Bartleby?
*Bartleby started shaking like a leaf*
Bartleby: Uh . . . Yes, sir. I do.
Dr. Robotnik: Yes. Well, you may go now, Bartleby. *Bartleby left the room & Robotnik pressed a button on the terminal* Interrogation status?
*Trevor, wearing a white jumpsuit that a wires attached to it, appeared on the screen*
Computer: SUBJECT APPROACHING BETA OPEN BRAIN STATUS. ALL INFORMATION IN HIS MIND ALL BE AVAILABLE IN 23.5 MINUTES.
Dr. Robotnik: Excellent. Contact me when he's ready. I'll be in the hanger.
*He left the room. We then opened the grill & jumped down. Sonia started towards the door, but I stopped her*
Ayla:*whispering* Sonia, where are you going?
Sonia:*whispering* To find Lady Windermere.
Sonic: It's too late, Sonia.
Manic: Once it happens, there's no brining em back.
Ayla:*in her mind* Once we're outta here, I have to tell them about my Uncle Chuck.
*Sonia started to cry & put her head on his shoulder. She then went up to the computer & started typing*
Sonia: Come on, come on. I'm waiting!
*I rolled my eyes. Haven't heard that in a while*
Sonia: Hang on! I'm not used to this system.
*Sonic & I looked at Manic, who twirled something in his hand before putting them in his bag*
Sonic: Exactly what are we doing here?
Manic: This stuff could come in handy.
Ayla: What have we told you about stealing?
Sonic: And besides, what if you set off the alarm?
Sonia:*off-screen* I got it! *We went over to the computer. a holographic image of the fortress appeared**on-screen* Trevor's in level 4. Right here.
Sonic: Great. Let's go.
*He was about to leave the room, when we heard a voice coming from the computer*
Sleet:*off-screen* Sleet reporting, sir.
*We turned to the monitors & saw Sleet's ugly mug on one of them. Then Robotnik's fat face appeared on the other*
Dr. Robotnik: Go ahead.
Sleet: We've found the Oracle's cave. Surveying surveillance video now.
*The monitor then showed the Oracle, mixing potions*
Dr. Robotnik: Make sure he doesn't detect you. I'm deploying forces.
Sleet: As you wish, sir.
*The screens went black*
Sonic: Now we gotta get Trevor, then warn the Oracle.
*He looked ready to leave*
Manic: Whoa, dude, stop. It's Swat-Bot City out there. I vote we take the Theives Highway again.
*Sonic nodded. We all held on to Sonic & he zoomed us into the ventilation system*
(Third-Person POV)
Dr. Robotnik: Excellent. Excellent. Soon, I'll be rid of the blasted Oracle and those obnoxious hedgehogs!
*Suddenly, alarms went off*
Computer: INTRUDER ALERT. LEVEL 4: SECTION C.
*He pressed a button & a screen showed Ayla, Sonic, Sonia, & Manic, escaping with Trevor*
Dr. Robotnik: Swat-Bots! Converge on the area! Get me those hedgehogs!
(Ayla's POV)
*We all hid in the ventilation system as Swat-Bots ran through the castle*
Trevor: He's gonna seal every entrance.
Manic: So why don't we just go out an exit? Uh-huh.
Sonic:*laugh* Good one!
Sonia: Oh wonderful! We're 10 seconds away from being Roboticized, and two you are cracking jokes!
Ayla: Sonia, relax. This place is pretty much identical to the fortress I knew back in my world. I know every exit and entrance like the back of my hand.
Sonic: And besides, we gotta find a way to get to the Oracle too.
Sonia: Hmm, we could always fly out.
Manic: Oh, now who's trying to be funny?
Ayla: Actually Manic. I think Sonia's on to something.
Sonia: Thank you, Ayla. I'm taking about stealing a ship.
*Sonic & Manic looked at each other*
Manic: Uh, stealing. Uh . . . Wouldn't that be wrong?
Sonia: Point made. We'll borrow a ship. Now let's get out of here.
*We crawled through the ventilation system until we got to the hanger. We jumped out of the vent just as Robotnik was leaving the room. We then
Trevor: I'll steal a small ship and lead em away while join the main force.
Sonic: Sounds like plan to me.
Ayla: Be careful, Trevor.
*He nodded & ran towards another ship*
Sonia: I don't have a clue!
Manic: That's Robotnik's security panel. Only way past it is with a Frequency Harmonizor. *he reached into his backpack & took out a round device* Oh, look what I borrowed from Robotnik. A Frequency Harmonizor. Handy, huh?
*He laughed,
Sonic: Alright. Alright. Just use it.
*Manic plugged the device into the machine & the door opened. He then motioned for us to enter*
*A few minutes later, Sonic was tapping his foot with impatience*
Sonic: What's taking Trevor so long? *just then, a ship flew above us* Finally. *when the other ship left to chase Trevor, we flew our ship out of the fortress* Outta here.
*I flew the ship through the city & other ships flew right past us*
Manic: Oh man! Talk about hiding in plain sight.
Sonic: Way way past cool!
Sonia: I just hope Trevor's alright.
Ayla: I'm sure he's fine. He's a member of the Resistance. A survivor.
*We then saw Trevor waving to us from an abandoned building. I waved back as we flew away*
*We soon arrived at the Artic*
Manic: So how do we find the Oracle's cave?
Sonia: Guess you didn't think about that, did you Mr. Impulsive?
Sonic: Hey. Get off my case. It's not like you had some great master plan.
Ayla: Hey! Tone down the bickering! It's not easy flying this thing and I need to concentrate!

Dr. Robotnik: Right here in the palm of my hand and they got away! How did they do it!
Computer: UNAUTHORIZED SHIP APPROACHING ATTACK SQUADRON.
Dr. Robotnik: Ship? Who's ship?
Computer: IT IS FROM OUR FLEET, SIR.
Dr. Robotnik: Who's flying it? Activate ship's surveillance! *the screen showed an image of Ayla, Sonic, Sonia, & Manic inside the stolen ship* Oh. This is too good.
(Ayla's POV)
Sonic: Yeah. We gotta find the Oracle's cave.
Manic: How about we just follow Robotnik's ships?
Sonia: Oh, now there's an idea. How do you propose we do that? *Manic pointed out the window & we saw a ship flying next to us* Oh.
*I pushed & pulled on a lever, but nothing happened*
Ayla: What's going on. Why isn't it working?
*Suddenly, we heard laughter. Then Robotnik's face appeared on the screen*
Dr. Robotnik: Ah, hedgehogs. I thought you might want to know that your ship's self-destruct mechanism has been activated.
Sonia: That's not a good thing, is it?
Ayla: Self-destruct never is.
*Manic got out of his seat & ran to the back of the ship*
Dr. Robotnik: And I'm afraid I had to seal the hatches.
*Manic tried to open one of the hatch doors, but it wouldn't budge as Robotnik laughed again*
Manic: Yo, he has full control of the ship.
Computer: SELF-DESTRUCT IN T-MINUS 15 . . . 14 . . . 13 . . . 12 . . .
Sonic: Manic, tell me you can get us out of here!
Computer: 11 . . . 10 . . .
Manic: Well, I was gonna take the Master Override Key, but . . . *Sonic started getting frustrated* You told me there was no time to be stealing stuff.
Computer: 9 . . .
Sonic: Are you nuts!? Why'd you listen to me!?
Computer: 8 . . . 7 . . . 6
*Manic reached into his backpack & took out the Master Override Key*
Manic: I didn't.
Computer: 5 . . . 4 . . .
*He plugged the key into the wall & the door opened*
Computer: 3 . . . 2 . . .
Ayla: Jump!
*We all jumped out of the ship*
Computer: 1 . . .
*The shop exploded as we fell. We took hands to form a circle*
Sonia: Nice work, Manic. Now what do we do?
Sonic: Hey. It's just snow. It won't hurt a bit.
Ayla: I hope you're right.
*We all screamed as we kept on falling. We let go out each other's hands & fell in the snow, unharmed*
Sonia: Well, that was pretty painless.

*Robotnik's ships were coming towards us & firing lasers*
Sonic: Outta here!
*He grabbed all three of us & we zoomed towards a nearby cave*
Ayla: Sonic, slow down!
Sonia: Yeah, we don't know what's inside the cave!
Sonic: Hey, when it comes to speed, you just gotta trust me!
*We barley made it through the entrance to the cave, we fell again. We all caught on to a rope bridge that was hanging over a rushing river*
Ayla: Nobody move!
Sonia: We are so in trouble! Nice work, Sonic!
Sonic: Hey, I got us away from those ships.
Sonia: And this is so much better.
*Suddenly, the rope snapped & we swung towards the cave wall*
Sonic: Hey. Now we just climb out.
*Sonic started to climb up the rope labber*
Ayla: Sonic, no! It might - *the rope snapped again & we landed on a ledge over the river* break.
Sonia: Now look what you've done!
Sonic: Hey, get off my case!
Manic: Yo, stop it!
*I looked where he was looking & gasped*

*An image of Queen Aleena was coming towards us*

And without him the Resistance will fall. *she showed an image of the Oracle & some floating books* You must resolve your differences and help him. I know you can do it. I love you, my children. *She disappeared. Sonic & Sonia looked at each other. Manic & I then touched our medallions & our instruments appeared*
Sonic: You're okay, sis.
Sonia: So are you.
*They touched their medallions & their instruments appeared*

*We grabbed on to Sonic & zoomed up the wall. Once we got to the top, we found Sleet, Dingo, & an army of Swat-Bots*
Sleet: Well, well, the hedgehogs. And unarmed. Perhaps you should surrender, don't you think?
Ayla: Think again, Pizza Face!
*We touched our medallions & our instruments appeared. Sonic & Sonia fired lasers & destroyed Sleet & Dingo's weapons*
Dingo: Nice shot, Sonia.
Sleet: Get them!
*He & Dingo ran away while the Swat-Bots attacked us. Sonia backflipped towards the Swat-Bots & fired more lasers. I then sang a note into my microphone & a loud scream came out of it, causing the Swat-Bots to short-circuit. Manic banged on his drums & the whole cave shook, causing the stalactites to fall from the ceiling & destroy the Swat-Bots*
Sonic: The ships! We gotta stop them!
Manic: Stand behind me!
*We all got behind him*
Sonia: Careful, Manic! Focus!
Sonic: You can do it, bro!
Ayla: Give it all you got!
*Manic banged on his drums really hard*
Manic: Gotta project it outward. Here goes.
(Third-Person POV)
*Sleet & Dingo had just made it outside as the whole mountain shook*
Sleet: Ooh, those cursed hedgehogs! *he & Dingo got in the ship* That's it! I don't care if Robotnik wants them captured, I am going to bury them! Time for a Mega Laser!
*The shop took off & faced the mountain. He then fired lasers at the mountain*
(Ayla's POV)
Sonic: Look!
*A big green laser was coming from outside the cave*
Manic: Hang on!
*He hit his drums harder & rocks shot out of the ground*
(Third-Person POV)
*The rocks came out of the hole in the side of the mountain & destroyed some of the ships*

Sonic: I'm impressed.

*One rock flew towards Sleet & Dingo's ship*
Sleet: What's that!?
*He & Dingo screamed as the rock hit the ship, causing it to fly out of control*

*We all cheered. Manic looked exhausted. Suddenly, the Oracle appeared in front of us*
Oracle of Delphius: You have bonded as family and team, young hedgehogs.
Sonic: Yeah. And . . .
Oracle of Delphius:*laugh* And now, you have earned the ability to use your powers whenever you wish.
Sonia: That's great. But will we ever defeat Robotnik?
Oracle of Delphius: Your spirit and devotion to your cause will determine the outcome.
*He disappeared*
Manic: Does he ever just walk away?
Ayla: And why does everything he say have to be so confusing?
*We all laughed*

*He grabbed all three of us & we zoomed out of the cave & through the snow*

*As the hedgehogs left, the Oracle & Queen Aleena appeared at the cave's entrance*
Queen Aleena: Robotnik couldn't have destroyed you.
Oracle of Delphius: But your children and Ayla didn't know that. And through their willingness to help others, they have gained their powers.
Queen Aleena: And so it begins. *as she watched her children speed away, she looked at Ayla with love in her eyes*in her mind* Ayla. Such a beautiful name.
