Two's Company And Three's A Family-Ch 15
The rest of the afternoon passed by quickly and soon Penelope was walking through the door of her apartment, she shut and locked the door before stepping into the living room. She toed off her shoes and sighed happily before glancing down at her watch, she smiled and said, "alright girlie it's time to get you ready because soon hotstuff will be here to pick you up" as she quickly headed toward her bathroom to grab a shower.
A few minutes later she wrapped a towel around herself and made her way through to her closet, she opened the door and started looking through her clothes, searching for the perfect dress to wear on her date with the love of her life.
She went through dress after dress and said, "no, no, no not that one either" and then she found the black strapless dress that she had bought right after she came to town. She reached into the closet and grabbed it and then turned around and held it up in front of her as she looked in the giant mirror, she bit down on her bottom lip and said, "this is it, this is the dress that I'm going to wear tonight".
Penelope took her time and did her makeup and hair and then careful and gently slid the black dress down over her head and as it slid down over her body she grinned and waited in anticipation to get a glance at herself to see how she looked in the dress.
When she turned around she said, "not bad girlie, not bad at all", she then twirled around and said, "yep, this is definitely the right choice for your first night out with your hotstuff". She then decided on the diamond studs that had been a gift from her mother on her 18th birthday, it was one of the few things she had left that was from her parents before they had gotten killed by the drunk driver.
As she put them in her ears she smiled as memories of her parents came back to her mind, when she was finished she blew out a deep breath and stood looking at herself in the mirror. She smiled and said, "you clean up pretty good there girlie", she turned around again and glanced over her shoulder at the back of the dress and nodded her head and said, "yep, not bad at all old girl".
Penelope was then pulled from her thoughts as she heard somebody knocking on her door, she glanced down at her watch and smiled, she blew out a deep breath and said, "that must be hotstuff" as she made her way from her bedroom to go answer the door.
When she opened the door she saw the best sight she had seen all day, she saw Derek standing there in a white dress shirt and black blazer on and boy did he look sexy. She said, "hello there handsome", he smiled and said, "wellllllll look at you, look at you baby girl", she stepped back and let him come inside her apartment.
After she shut the door he handed her the flowers he had in his hands and said, "these are for you goddess", she took the dozen long stem roses and smelled them. She then leaned over and kissed his lips gently and said, "thank you Derek, they're beautiful" and he then watched as she headed over to the cabinet and pulled out a vase.
He watched as she put some water in the vase and then put the flowers down in the vase, she then smiled and said, "beautiful, they are so beautiful". Derek said, "you're beautiful sweetness and might I say that the dress you are wearing is making my mouth water", she giggled and said, "sweet talk will get you everywhere Mr. Morgan".
Derek walked over to her and said, "I'll have to remember that for later then angel", he then held out his arm and said, "shall we baby girl"?, she looped her arm through his and said, "yes we shall angel fish, yes we shall" and they were both all smiles as they stepped out into the hall arm-in-arm and made their way toward the elevator so they could go on their first official date alone since she had arrived in Virginia and she was eager to see what the night held in store for her and her hotstuff.
