Two's Company And Three's A Family-Ch 19
Over the next several days the team and their oracle were no closer in finding the unsub than they were on the first day and everybody was stressing out over it, especially Penelope who blamed herself in not being able to find the information needed to help her team of crime fighters find their baddie.
Everyday that her hotstuff had been gone she would go to casa Rossi and spend some time with Hank and the little boy was loving all of the attention from the woman that had become a very important part of his young life
Hank looked forward to seeing Penelope and everyday he waited patiently for her to show up and when she would he would happily run to her and wrap his little arms around her neck and squeal, "NELLOPEEEEEEE" as he buried his head in her neck.
She would rub her hand up and down his back and tell him how much she had missed him, causing the little tyke to smile and tell her that he had missed her too. They would spend time together either watching movies, coloring, playing with his toys or with Clooney before she would eat dinner with him and tuck him in.
Fran smiled as she watched Penelope with her grandson and it was obvious to her that she loved Hank as much as she did Derek and she had a feeling that Penelope was going to be her daughter-in-law very soon and the thoughts of that thrilled her to no end
Fran was currently standing at the door watching as Penelope tucked her grandson for the night, she had read him his favorite story and was now making sure that he was covered up. She leaned down and kissed the little boy on the forehead and said, "good night buddy, sleep tight I love you" causing the little boy to grin up at her.
He yawned and then said, "nigh nigh mommy, I love you" and when she heard the word mommy her heart raced and she couldn't help but smile. She took a deep breath and thought, "mommy, he just called me mommy", she sat there another minute just to make sure that he was asleep before she gently got up and made her way toward the door.
When she stepped out into the hallway she met a smiling Fran who said, "is he asleep?", Penelope nodded her head and said, "yeah, he's sleeping like a little angel". Fran said, "are you aright honey"?, Penelope said, "uhhh, yeah I'm fine, I was just thinking about something that Hank said, that's all".
Fran said, "oh, what did he say?", Penelope said, "he called me mommy", Fran said, "he loves you honey and you are like a mother figure to him, wait, does it bother you that he calls you mommy?", she shook her head and said, "absolutely not, I, I, well I can't tell you how happy it makes me Fran".
She then looked up at the older woman and said ,"is it wrong for me to be so happy?", Fran shook her head and said, "no, of course not Penelope, everybody deserves to be happy, especially you". Fran motioned for Penelope to follow her and they made their way downstairs and into the kitchen where they enjoyed a delicious cup of tea together.
As Fran sat across from the younger woman she happily said, "it's so obvious that you and my son are head over heels in love with each other". Penelope said, "it is?", Fran laughed and said, "yes honey, yes it is", she then put her hand on Penelopes and told her the story of the connection she had only had twice in her life, once with Derek's father Hank and the second time with Dave.
Penelope listened as Fran talked about how it was love at first sight with Hank and how amazing their life together was and then how hard it was on her and the kids after Hank had died and how she feared that she would never again fall in love.
She continued then by telling about the connection she had felt with Dave and how she loved their lives together and how everybody deserved happiness, especially her son. Time passed by quickly and soon it was time for Penlope to head home and turn in for the night so that she could get back to work in the morning and help her team of heroes find the baddie so they could come back home safe to her.
As she was laying in bed a little time later her thoughts came back to Hank and how he had called her mommy, she bit down on her bottom lip as she wondered what Derek would think about that. She yawned and then rolled over onto her side and sighed happily as her eyes closed and she soon fell asleep and had amazing dreams of her life with Derek and Hank and how well everything was falling into place perfectly for her and how she was finally getting the life she had always wanted and deserved.
