Chapter 22

She felt strange.

Then again, Yua hasn't been feeling all that well for the past few days. "You okay?" Gojo asked of her.

She paused to consider her answer. "I've been feeling off, but okay… did… did someone come in our room last night?"

He shook his head. "I didn't sense anything, why?"

"I swore someone came in our room last night, they whispered… something but I don't know… Maybe I am going crazy…"

"Meh, we're all a little aren't we?" Gojo asked with a grin. "Besides, we ought to prepare for then the Itadori twins return, right?"

"Yeah, I hope they are okay. I mean, the last time I saw them… they were going to devour me, weren't they?"

"Thank God for Lady Tiamat, she had perfect timing in stopping them. But couldn't blame them either… you are rather sweet…" he teased.

She rolled her eyes to him. "Seriously Gojo, we have to be sure it doesn't happen again. Yuuji and Suiryu are dragons now. But, I can understand how they got so hungry too, their appetites have changed, they were starving despite eating a huge amount of food."

He nodded in agreement and shuttered shortly after. "To think that Lady Tiamat had to take them away to feed them. Question is, where DID she take them? They aren't here to say the least… no where on this earth…"

"You can sense that far?!"

"Well… no… I am just guessing here, and there has been nothing on the news in Japan or internationally about animals suddenly vanishing."

No sooner did he say those words did the ground tremble! The whole house shook as the students screamed with worry! They rushed outside, the teachers at the ready but they froze as to what was before them. Despite the fields being quite far, there stood two massive dragons!

"Are you fucking kidding me…" Toji said as his shoulders slumped. "How the fuck do we fight those bastards!" he demanded.

The dragons weren't hostile yet by the looks of it, if anything, they were peering about and making an odd sound. It was a deep resonating roar but oddly gentle. "They're… lost?" she whispered, but then took a closer look at them.

"Yua?" Gojo asked with worry.

"We got to go and meet them half way, if they come here, this place will be flattened."

There was no fear in her, she led the way as the others came close behind. "Is there at least a plan in place?!" Nanami demanded.

"Nope" Yua replied. "Besides, no attack we do will scratch their scales. So we have to be calm and rational about this!" she announced. "Toji, I am looking at you… Gojo… don't be a smartass at a time like this!" she scolded.

The two sneered.

"Haha, you two," snickered Geto.

"You, shut the hell up"

They were just out of the limits of the housing, the dragons were fast approaching before they came to a stop the moment they saw them. One of them was white with black marks, the other, black with red marks. Yet as Yua got closer, she started to see something familiar about them.

"Eh!?" she said and paused. "Yuuji… Suiryu?"

"WHAT!?" the others demanded.

"These things are those guys!?" Toji demanded.

"Calm your tits, and let me make sure." She said.

Yua approached with caution. Gojo kept close as the two began to notice her. She couldn't tell who was who, but if she were to guess, Yuuji is the one with the black scales and Suiryu has the white. They growled lowly at her, but kept watch carefully. "Yuuji… Suiryu… are you two okay?" she asked gently.

They were taller than most buildings. If anything she would have to guesstimate they were at least three stories in height. Weight… she wouldn't dare to assume, but their steps alone caused the earth to shake!

Suiryu's head suddenly came down, she would be swallowed instantly and effortlessly if he chose to do so, yet, he kept one nostril over her and took a deep breath. Gojo was blown back as Yua used curse energy to keep herself on the ground. Then, Yuuji did the same thing. They both took a deep breath, taking in her scent, perhaps to see if she is friend or possibly food. Yet the moment they did, they appeared settled! They gave off a low roar, as gentle as they could as they tried to get closer to her.

"Whoa, hold it! Too big, you two are WAY too big… can… can you shrink yourselves down? Do you remember what you look like?" she called.

They exchanged looks when suddenly, there was a burst of black and white smoke. When it settled once more, the two appeared in their human forms wearing loincloths of all things… and they stood must larger and taller than they should be! Yuuji and Suiryu stood over eight feet now, they towered over them but kept a close eye on Yua still.

"Yuuji… Suiryu…" she said gently again.

They had that same look in their eyes as before. There is no human thought going on in their minds at the moment, however, the look given wasn't one of hunger. They began to act oddly once more as they went on their hands and began to walk on the ground. They circled her and her alone. Suiryu orbited her going right, Yuuji went left as they made their way around a few times. Gojo was shoved to the side when he tried to approach again as Suiryu gave a defiant snarl to him before focusing back on Yua. Still, they surrounded her. She couldn't understand their behavior and yet as they went around her many times over, she swore they were smelling her!

It became rather disturbing as they inched closer and Suiryu nearly stuck his nose right to her stomach. But then, he stepped back. Yuuji too as they stood up once more, turning to each other, they gave a nod in agreement. "Are you two okay? Is there anything…" before she could finish asking the question. Suiryu scooped her up into his lower arms!

"Suiryu! Wait, what are you… how are you.." she felt herself sinking into his body! His wings came down around her as Gojo was shouting at Suiryu to stop and let her go!

"YUA!"

Gojo shouted as he tried to get close, Nanami stopped him as best he could. "Satoru, they are not in their right frame of mind!" he protested.

"But Yua!"

"They have done this before remember!" he scolded. "Step back, and let them do what they need to do…" just as he said that, Yuuji suddenly came before Suiryu, his wings arched out as he roared defiantly to those who gather.

"Give them space!" Toji ordered. "Step back and let them through!" Those who gathered to see what was going on, did just that. Megumi was stunned, Nobara silent as the Itadori twins walked by them, not even acknowledging those who were around.

"Is… are they okay?" Nobara asked with worry. "Suiryu looks out of it…"

"They both are," said Nanami. "Whatever has happened to them, it has affected their mindsets at the moment. Lady Tiamat did warn us about this, when they returned they may not act like themselves for a while…"

Choso was silent as he watched his brothers move along, but he appeared to have felt something. "Choso?" Megumi asked.

"They… they want to protect her. Yua… they are adamant about keeping her safe and comfortable. I can feel that urge in them, to please her and ensure she is fine…"

"What? Why Yua?" demanded Gojo. "Before they left, they tried to devour her!"

He nodded. "I felt that as well, but at the moment, it's the opposite, they want to keep her safe… like a treasure to hoard."

Suddenly, everyone appeared a little paler. "Wait, you don't think…" Gojo demanded of him.

"I can't say for certain, I don't understand some of their thoughts here. But they merely want to keep her safe and contained,"

Nobara looked a little worried as well.

"They don't do anything to her, will they?" Megumi asked.

At this point, no one knew what was going through the minds of Yuuji or Suiryu Itadori…
