Chapter 23

"What the hell!"

She remembered it all, and yet, where she ended up was somewhere… unknown. "What is this place? It… it feels like Yuuji's soul space… or is this an innate domain?" she muttered.

"That's because both are one in the same, but this is Suiryu's domain."

Yua jumped, but settled once she saw Lady Tiamat. "Oh, than goodness you're here. Yuuji and Suiryu…"

"They will be fine," she insisted. "I must apologize for their actions, as well, I am not really here. This is just a jujutsu I made to explain what is happening."

Yua was rather impressed. "Damn, you're good! So… what's happening with them? They aren't going to do… anything to me are they?" she asked nervously.

Lady Tiamat snickered. "Goodness me, no" she laughed. "If anything, they are going to treat you very well, for you see… they seek a temporary mother."

She froze to the explanation. "Wait, a temporary mother?"

"Yes," she said gently, but then Lady Tiamat looked to her seriously. "Yua I have business to take care of in the heavenly realm. I cannot be there for them at this time, and their minds are still developing. However, they are still baby dragons. They need a mother to feel secure, and for the time being. You are going to fill that need."

A pit formed in her stomach. "Wait, you want me… to be you for them?"

"Yes,"

"Why me though? I don't mean to be rude Lady Tiamat but…"

"You were the only one suitable," she explained. "You have the scent of a dragon due to your connection with Ryujin, as well, in their subconscious in Yuuji and Suiryu, they have always admired you like a mother figure. That benefited us for this. Lastly, I infused a little of my own energy into you. So they are drawn instantly to your side when they need a motherly figure. I am sorry, I should have warned you of this, but I didn't have much time."

She sighed aloud to it all. "As long as no one gets hurt… they are going to be okay right? They won't lash out in hunger or anything like the last time…"

"They are plenty fed, I made certain of that. If they do get hungry, they know where to go now to obtain food. For now, enjoy yourself. My boys will take excellent care of you. After all, you are deserving a break, are you not?"

She couldn't argue with that, not to mention, she still can't refuse her request. Yet Lady Tiamat leaned in towards her and said. "After this, you not longer bind to obey a dragon's request of Ryujin's lineage. You have done more than enough for this family, we are in your debt now." She said and smiled.

She smiled back and nodded. "Okay, I promise to take good care of them," she said and bowed to Lady Tiamat.

"Oh I am at ease with that, I trust you completely. But don't be afraid to go out into the city with them. Despite their mindsets, they won't harm anyone… unless someone tries to harm you. Then all bets are off!"

"That's what concerns me…"

"But Yua, enjoy yourself and this time. As I said, they will take excellent care of you… Just be mindful, they are still in the mindset of a baby dragon. They still need to be nurtured by their 'mother'" she said and winked.

Whatever that meant.

Yua suddenly found the world shifting around her, then, she saw fleshy wings before seeing the outside world once more. With great care, she was placed down into a massive bed with plenty of pillows and blankets. Suiryu was extra careful and nodded his approval of her surroundings. "Wait, this is Lady Tiamat's place?" she whispered.

The two stared at her oddly, almost waiting for something. "Are you two okay? Did you need something? You did a wonderful job with the bed."

They smiled and suddenly came in beside her, each flanking Yua from either side. Suiryu was oddly affectionate as he stared at her oddly, for a moment, she swore he was going to lean in for a kiss, but instead, he nuzzled her oddly on the right side of her neck!

Yuuji followed suit on the left side as purrs began to escape from them.

"Okay, you're content, that's good." She whispered to herself.

They then inched closer to her. Their arms wrapped around her core as they both tried to bring her in closer to themselves. The brothers glared at each other when they hindered one another from doing so, but Yua was worried if they fought they would accidently pull her apart!

"Whoa, easy, easy now…" she said gently.

They stopped and stayed where they were.

'To think, they are so powerful and yet… in this mindset, they are so vulnerable…' she thought to herself. She sighed to it all, but knew it has to be done. After all, if they don't have someone to call mom for the time being, they would rampage looking for her!

She wondered what she would be able to do, until the door opened. Instantly, their eyes darted towards the intruder. Suiryu took defensive this time as Yuuji kept her close to himself. Their fangs bared, Suiryu's wings arched in anger as he roared aloud to whoever came in.

She peered passed him to see Choso standing near the door!

"Choso… not a good time!" she warned.

He, however kept calm as Suiryu began to approach him, he was still on the defensive, and was prepared to strike if needed. Choso kept still, he didn't show any aggression and kept his hands hidden and tucked inside of his sleeves.

Suiryu did the same thing from earlier with her, circling him oddly and yet smelling him as well. He paused as he took in his scent, but then appeared rather surprised.

He turned to Yuuji who had settled himself once more and began to approach, he did the same as Suiryu as they switched place to ensure what the other had discovered was true.

But he orbited Choso as well, took in his scent before nodding his approval to Suiryu. "It's okay Yua, they realized I'm family." He said gently. He turned to Yuuji and smiled. "Little brothers, you have gotten so much stronger… and taller."

Yuuji's chest puffed out but then he turned back to Yua. The two repositioned themselves once more before cuddling back into her sides. She rolled her eyes to it all. "I swear I have no idea why this is happening,"

He smiled once more but paused, his hand came over his heart as he sighed aloud. "I've felt this many times when it comes to my little brothers… their hearts are happy. But this sensation of comfort… love… it's rather odd for me to explain."

"It's a mother's love you are feeling, it's what they are feeling when they are close to Lady Tiamat… and apparently me for the time being." She snickered.

Yet Choso appeared to be lost on the notion. "What is it like?" he asked.

"Huh?"

"Mother's love… what is it like?"

"Uh…" Yua wanted to explain it, yet somehow, Suiryu and Yuuji took notice of him. Did they feel what he was feeling? Suddenly, the two left her sides, Suiryu approached Choso oddly before taking him over to the bed and then placed him next to her! "Suiryu!" she protested, but then he took Choso's arm and wrapped them around Yua's waist.

"Uh… I apologize they are doing this…" he whispered.

She sighed aloud, they won't be happy unless she helps them. So she took her arm and brought it behind Choso's back and brought him closer to herself. He was taken aback by her actions, but suddenly relax.

Then Yuuji and Suiryu got back in there!

Yuuji came in behind Choso, bring him closer to Yua as Suiryu took the other side. They bounded themselves to her and neither could move after. "Sorry," Choso said once more. "But… I do admit, this feel… nice."

"A mother's love is unconditional," she explained. "It's a simple embrace that makes you feel everything will be okay. Her words set your mind at ease and calm the storm you may have in your head and your heart." She whispered. "At least, that's what I consider to be a mother. I lost mine at a young age… you never got to know yours, right?"

She felt his head nod, but he fell silent. Peering down, all three of them had fallen asleep!
