We've done a lot of Equestria's perspective, done a few chapters of the Soviet's perspective. Time to do a chapter mainly on the west's perspective. I haven't done any chapters on western perspectives.

Also, I'm doing a time-jump, but only by a few days.

The news of the Soviet seaborne invasion of Equestria had already reached Harry S Truman, the 33rd president of the United States of America. The president wasn't impressed by Stalin's conduct at all, he was appalled, very appalled. The news of this invasion has put stress on the American president, as the Soviets have resorted to using military force to spread their oppression.

8th December 1945 - 16:45 PM US Eastern Time

Truman is sat inside the Oval Office in the White House. He's sitting on a black leather chair, infront of a large dark wooden desk. The carpet on the floor is a bluish gray colour. The walls are made of a very creamy shade of white and yellow blended together. The windows on the south end of the room are behind Truman, while the fireplace is on the opposite northern end of the room. Truman is also on the telephone, holding it in his right hand against the right side of his head.

"Is everything ready to be shipped over?" Truman asked.

"Yes Mr President, and with the cover of night, I believe we can do it," The person on the phone said with some confidence, but also having their doubts.

"Okay, you have my authorization to initiate Operation Horseman. Good luck," Truman instructed the person as he puts the telephone down, back into it's placeholder. He puts his elbows on the table of the desk and his face hits the palms of both hands.

(18:30 PM)

Ring ring! Ring ring!

Truman picks the telephone off the holder and holds it by the right side of his head.

"Yes? Harry S. Truman speaking."

"So what's this about sending aid to Equestria through the other country in the Equestrian region? We should send in the army to help, not just some humanitarian aid effort!" The person on the telephone spoke with a very firm but light-pitched American accent.

"For heaven's sake- Patton, this is not the time!"

"Not the fuckin' time!? This is perfectly the time to stop bein' lil schoolgirls about the god damn Russians! Them sons of bitches started another war, and I say we jump in and don't stop burnin' until every Russian bastard's darker than a fuckin' nigger! Them fuckin' Bolsheviks are just going round shootin' friendly creatures!" Patton on the telephone yelled in a very frustrated voice.

"Patton, stop it right there- Watch your words- They could be listening to our every word," Truman sternly warned.

"Ya think I give a fuckin' damn!? If you're too soft about it, give me the order and I'll get the job done! Don't worry about yourself, you leave it to me! In three months I'll bring us to Moscow's doorsteps and I'll pull Stalin's pants down! His commie ass and commie dick will be dangling out all for show-"

Truman puts the phone down on Patton and takes a deep, deep breath in, and a big slow breath out. Patton has a big mouth, but the problem is he didn't know when to keep it shut. Truman takes his mind off of Patton, who added to the already existing stress he's currently in.

(Very late in the evening, Yakyakistan)

Rutherford is a few miles away from the settlement his fellow yaks are. He feels the snow be weakly vibrating as well as faint engine noises. He looks westwards, to his right where he's standing. He sees a convey of 4 Studebaker US6 trucks. There is also a small flag of the USA on top of the bonnet of each truck. On the front of the bonnet and the sides of the doors is the American white star.

Each truck slowly breaks to a halt, but their engines remain running. The left door of the truck infront opens and an average tall white male human steps out and began slowly stepping towards Rutherford. The human is wearing a dark green helmet on their head. As well, they're wearing a big long brown coat that goes down to the top of their black boots. They're also wearing army green gloves on their hands. On the right side of their body they have a pouch strapped to them as well as a wooden rifle.

"Rutherford welcomes our American friends," Said Rutherford, walking over to the human.

"You're Rutherford I take it?" The human asked.

"Yes," Rutherford replied while nodding.

"Yaks have been mobilizing and preparing to help our Equestrian friends against Soviets," Said Rutherford.

"Americans do not like Soviets. Americans do not like communism," The human imitates the yak's way of speaking.

"Us yaks would show you around Yakyakistan, but yaks are preparing homes for fleeing ponies. Americans can set up here. Equestria is further down and to your right, Americans," Rutherford responded.

"Alright, thank you kind sir. You leave us to it. We won't cause you too much trouble. You need us, you find us here, alright big boy," The human nodded. He turns around and nods, giving the greenlight. Then 3 of the Studebaker US6's starts moving and drives off. The 4th truck's right door opens and a second human jumps out, wearing the same uniform as the other human.

"So, what are the chances Soviet planes fly above us?" He asked.

"Yakyakistan weather is difficult to fly in. Yaks don't worry about Soviet planes. Americans don't need to worry about Soviet planes," Rutherford replied.

"Is Yakyakistan part of Equestria? Or what? How come did just ponies fight and not you yaks?" The human asked.

"Equestria is home to many creatures. Germans saw no use of yaks. Germans thought yaks were big and clumsy. Us yaks avoided war. Germans thought changelings were big weak insects. Changelings also avoided war," Rutherford replied.

"Right, okay, I'll go back to my men. You can find us here if you need," The human stated. Rutherford nodded.

"Bye American friends, new friends of yaks," Rutherford walks off.

"The yak in charge seems polite," Said the human.

"Shut up Charlie and help us get this darn fuckin' camp set up- Don't stand around like a lemon! Get over here now!" The other soldier yelled.

"Jesus Christ, Nathan, you moan more than the ladies," The soldier laughed, who is called Charlie.

"Jus' come and get the stuff out the back of the truck- Fucking freezing right now," Nathan stated.

Mayor Mare stood on the northern edges of Ponyville. The town she lived in and had been mayor of has been flattened and no building remaining undamaged at best, utterly destroyed at worst. Almost everypony in Ponyville that survived had their homes destroyed.

She sees 3 trucks with American decorations on them. She has been expecting these trucks to arrive. They all brake to a halt, but the engines remain running. Mayor Mare walks up to the trucks. The window on the left of the truck at the front is being lowered.

"Mayor Mare?" The human spoke. The mare nodded.

"Equestria won't forget America's sweet gesture of kindness, Celestia bless you all," Mayor Mare wept, wiping her eyes with her left forehoof.

"More trucks are coming in. Keep fighting and good luck," The human responded with a smirk. The window began to be raised up. The trucks continue their way, driving into Ponyville.

"Celestia bless America," Mayor Mare cried. The USA is coming to aid Equestria.

A small fly is circling the mayor, who tries swatting it. The fly retreats, no longer bothering her.

"America has got involved... better let our new allies know..." The 'fly' thought to itself. Once out of Ponyville, it began to glow green and change form.

(White House's Oval Office)

9th December 1945 - 11:50 AM US Eastern Time

Ring ring! Ring ring!

Truman picks up the phone and holds it up against the right side of his head.

"Truman speaking."

"I've got some good news and bad news Mr President," Said the person on the phone.

"What's the good news?" Truman asked.

"The first few loads have been a success. A base of operations has been set up in Yakyakistan. Rutherford has allocated us to an area where it's hard for Soviet planes to reach us," The person on the phone replied.

"Good, I hope our gesture will make them more likely to lean towards us," Truman responded.

"The bad news is that an agent has leaked Operation Horseman to the Soviets. We have no suspects on the mole," The person on the phone added.

"Patton rang me yesterday about using Equestria's situation as a reason to wage war on Uncle Joe. I think this line may be tapped- That man just can't keep his mouth shut! He has gone completely nuts!" Truman is now furious with George Patton. Operation Horseman may have potentially been discovered by Soviet agents, all because of one man's mouth.

"Mr President, the White House lines are very secure. It's practically impossible to tap this line. I'm very certain the reason to the leak is because of a double-agent," The person on the phone reassured. This gives Truman some sense of calmness.

"Well, whoever leaked the operation, Uncle Joe ain't gonna be happy when he hears about it. But I don't war with Uncle Joe, I wanna avoid that. But I feel as though we've gotta step in and do something about this new Russo-Equestrian war," Truman responded.

"Stalin will still see Operation Horseman as a major provocation. But I do agree that we gotta do something about this needless slaughter," The person on the phone stated in agreement.

"Yes, and I still do have a lot of respect for Uncle Joe, as his country sacrificed a lot to defeat Nazism. I just think his decision to invade Equestria is immoral. Thousands of Equestrians are needlessly dying each day," Truman responded.

"And if Stalin escalates this into another war, what do we do then? The only man who'll be willing to fight in this situation will be Patton. He may've gone crazy, but if war breaks out, he may be the man we need to win," The person clarified where he was angling at with his question. He wants to know what plan is in place in the event of a Russo-American conflict.

"Get the Brits on board with Operation Horseman too," Truman ordered.

"If Uncle Joe chooses to escalate the war, we're to get as many Equestrians out of the country. We're to help all the Equestrian refugees take refuge in Yakyakistan, Britain and our own country. Yakyakistan's border with Equestria will also be reinforced for deterrence. That is the plan in place if the war escalates," Truman explained.

"What I trying to get at is we need to get directly involved now-"

"For the moment, I want Operation Horseman to continue the way I requested. We are to avoid a showdown with the Russians at all costs, not start a war with them," Truman spoke sternly when he interrupted, making his instructions very clear.

(Outskirts of Tokyo)

It is late afternoon in Japan. Christopher has grown more interested with the developing events in Equestria. As well, he is beginning to grow restless from boredom.

"Daniel," Christopher called over his wartime friend.

"You've heard about this Operation Horseman thing?" Christopher asked.

"Yes, and the Russians really ain't happy with us right now from what I heard," Daniel replied.

"I can imagine they're pissed off," Christopher nodded.

"Well, what's your take on this... thing, going on in Equestria in general?" Christopher questioned.

"Are you saying you wanna be transferred to Europe?" Daniel caught onto where Christopher was angling his question.

"Since this Pacific war had ended, there has been nothing to do. I kinda want to be in the action if something does occur. War is part of my life. I can't handle peace, peace... it's too surreal for me," Christopher murmured.

"Guess what? I've also been thinking the same, man," Daniel smirked. Christopher smirked back.

"I like you- Me and you are like brothers," Christopher smiled, putting his right arm around Daniel and patting him on the back.

"So, what do you say that we try and get ourselves transferred to Europe? The slopes are beaten, there's nothing else we gotta do here," Christopher suggested. He is right, there's nothing left to do in Japan. The war against Japan is over.

"You could say the slope has been flattened," Daniel said before laughing out loud. Christopher bursts out laughing at what Daniel said.

"Good one Dan, that was a good one," Christopher chuckled.

"Anyway, wanna try get the pair of us transfered to Europe?" Christopher asked again.

"Yeah, I would like to," Daniel nodded.

"Even if it's just driving trucks, or border patrol, it's better than sitting around doing nothing. I just don't want to be relieved. If I'm scared of anything, it's being relieved of duty," Christopher stated. Daniel nodded in agreement.

The 2 Americans want to be transferred to Europe. They are both getting bored with the lack of things to do in Japan. Christopher and Daniel are made for war and right now, Europe looks very exciting to them.

10th December 1945 - 09:59 AM UK Time

Catherine is sat on the sofa with her husband, Jack. They are eating a bacon and egg sandwich each for breakfast, together. Whilst eating, they're listing to some music on the radio.

"I'm very lucky to have ya. You're my personal crown jewels," Said Jack, smiling to his wife.

"Aww, I love you Jack," Catherine smiled, kissing Jack on his right cheek.

"I love you too Cath- I'm lucky to have ya," Jack repeated. The former RAF combatant then notices the time.

"Great, the news is going to come on. It's now ten o'clock. All that's been on the BBC is that bloody war between the Russians and the alien equines," Jack moaned, rolling his eyes.

"I can't keep being assed to turn that bloody radio off," Jack added in the same moan.

Radio:

"Good morning. The headlines this morning, 10th of December 1945. The war in Equestria has paused. It's been close to a week since the USSR have made any advances on Equestrian soil. It's believed the Stavka has halted further offensives to send in more forces and organise their divisions. The eastern and southern coast is currently under occupation by the Red Army, and ponies in occupied territories are facing tyranny. But this has given Equestria time to evacuate as many citizens they can further west. The Royal Guard has dug in deep and are prepared to make this a costly affair for the Russians. The total casualties of this war is estimated to be around twenty thousand, eighty five percent of that figure being Equestrian lives, and sixty percent being civilians."

"The US president, Truman, has initiated Operation Horseman, a humanitarian aid effort to help Equestria weather the Soviet war machine. It was originally meant to be a secret night operation and the aid would be sent to Equestria via Yakyakistan, but the Soviets found out soon enough, and now the US is using Equestria's western docks. This move has caused tensions to rise between the Soviets and the west. Truman is calling for Stalin to declare an immediate ceasefire before the situation gets out of hand, but the Soviets appear to have different plans. There's also remours of Soviet submarines in Equestria's western waters firing warning shots at US ships travelling to Equestria's western shores."

"The second phase of Operation Horseman is evacuating Equestria's citizens to western countries such as us and the USA. This phase hasn't been enacted yet, but it could be in the following days to come depending on how future events develop. If the second phase enacts, the government is offering extra rations to citizens willing to take in Equestrian refugees. They may of been on the side of the Axis during the war, but they were manipulated. They're friendly peaceful creatures at heart that got caught in between human politics and forced into a devastating war. Is this the world we want to live in, where we kill other intelligent lifeforms? We must set an example that humanity is capable of showing heart-warming compassion, and stop what threatens our democratic values."

"We'll be back with updates at half-past ten, and the full news at eleven o'clock. Enjoy your morning."

The news finishes and music began playing again. Jack and Catherine look at each other.

"Would you be willing to take in one of these equines?" Catherine asked.

"It's up to you Cath. If you're fine with it, I don't see why not," Jack replied.

"I would be willing. Them poor creatures," Catherine feels for the ponies and wants to do what she thinks is right. She remembers the German air raids and they left an impact on her.

"I don't mind taking an equine or two under our roof. But if they want me to fight the Russians if it comes to that, the government can fuck right off. I am not going back to war..." Jack sternly stated before beginning to cry.

"I just- I just don't want to devastate more families- I don't want to kill more and hurt more- I thought the fighting was over-"

"It's okay darling, it's okay..." Catherine soothingly whispers as she puts both her arms around her husband and pulls him towards her warm comforting body. Jack's chin rest on tip while he cries. He puts his arms around his wife and hugs her tight.

"I don't want to go back to war- I don't want to go back to war!"

"You won't go back to war- It's okay darling, everything will be okay. I won't let them take you to war..." Catherine continues speaking in that soothing, gentle whisper.

"Why can't the world get along!? We stopped the Nazis- Why does there always of to be a war? There's always a war..." Jack mumbles in his tears.

"Do not think about war- Relax... I'm here okay, I'm here... you're okay darling. You're safe, I'm here..." Catherine continues soothingly whispering.

"I'm here, it'll be okay, you're safe..." Catherine repeats in the same tone. She feels her husband's arms rigid grip around her softly loosen.

"Would you like a cuppa?" Catherine asked. She thinks a good cup of tea will help her husband's state of mind.

"If you could, please, I could really do with a cuppa..." Jack quietly replied, letting go of his wife and wiping his eyes with both his hands.

(Jack's POV)

"Okay, I'll be just a minute," My wife replied. She heads to the kitchen to make my tea. She makes fantastic tea, and that's all you need really, good tea. A good cup of tea changes any man's mood.

I used to never cry, because I used to think men don't cry. But then when the war started and I got conscripted into the RAF, and I was destroying German planes, I was killing somebody's loved one. It was very hitting for me when I shot down my first German. That was someone's son, father... brother, uncle... a husband- You're killing a member of another family.

When the war was over, I hoped another war doesn't start. For every plane and pilot I shot down, I probably devastated whole families. But then the Russians started an unprovoked war on Equestria. I tried to keep a brave face, but I couldn't. I'm scared of having to go back to war, because of that. I know that little war is far from home and I originally didn't care about it, it certainly made me think. Taking in one of these equines I'd say is a moral duty.

I take my mind off the war. I think about the nice whistling sounds the kettle is making. The sound is so relaxing, I already taste the tea pouring in my mouth, moisturising my tounge and flushing down my throat. You don't need much in life when you have tea.

(Catherine's POV)

I've made Jack's tea, just how he likes it. One tiny spoon of sugar, a few drops of milk and most importantly, piping hot. He loves his tea, he will talk all day about tea. Tea also calms him down when he's in distress.

I hold the white teacup handle with my right hand, and put the palm of my left hand underneath. I slowly walk back to the living room and carefully place the teacup on the table.

"Thank you," He spoke as he leans over to grab the teacup handle and starts sipping at the tea.

"How are you feeling now?" I ask him.

"Feeling much better, thank you. Good tea makes any man happy," I see Jack smiling, which made me smile back. I sat back down on the sofa next to him.

I already notice the change of his mood. He finds tea a great distraction from the events going on around the world. The recent war the Russians started on Equestria has really put him on his nerves. Like me, he thought all the fighting was over. He doesn't want to go to war, and I understand that. I know about the horrors of war. The events of the Blitz reminded me that war can be brought to anyone's doorstep and take anyone's life.

The air raids on Equestria on the 3rd reminded me of the Blitz. Innocent people being bombed to death, crowded shelters, screaming, fires- It was horrible, really horrible, so horrible. I can't think of a good word to describe how horrifying it was living through those times, it was that bad.

Equestria is going through the same things right now as many other countries did. Refugees fleeing their countries, because of war. It's never the regular citizen at fault, it's the leader of the citizens. Like I know there's a good German, I also believe there's a good Equestrian. That's why I think taking in one of these ponies is the right thing to do.

(No longer in Catherine's POV)

"You alright?" Jack asked as he puts his teacup of tea back on the table.

"Yes, I'm okay, because you're okay," Catherine nodded. Jack smiled.

"You really helped me, I'm telling ya."

"It's okay darling, it's okay," Catherine gently responded.

"Shall we go for a little walk? Maybe some fresh air may help too," Catherine suggested. Jack nodded.

"Yes, let's go outside," Jack happily agreed.

The couple are already in their clothes. While Jack's left hand holds Catherine's tight hand, the 2 head for the front door and exit the house. Once outside they begin their walk.

Note:

America is coming to help Equestria, yay! But I didn't want to focus on just the operation. So I done it in the viewpoint of 2 completely different styled perspectives. As I haven't done a full chapter on the western perspective yet, I thought this would be a good chance to expand the personalities of Jack and Catherine as well as Christopher and Daniel. (I also hope I did okay with my Patton impression).

As well, I hope I did okay with the 2 different styled perspectives. Btw, this isn't the last appearance of Jack and Catherine, as well as Christopher and Daniel.
