Note: I was about to end this fanfic story because I believed chapter 10 was the good moment to do so but then I realized I should spend more time to expand the information of Hakoniwa for the sake of world building. Therefore, I will continue the story after this point.
A week after the loss of the Duality Brush, Yukari and her parallel began to rebuild the Great Library of Hakoniwa inside Kotou to continue the plan.
Alt Yukari: Do you think it was a good idea when you stole that brush? Vạn Thư would be very angry about this.
Youmu: Why would you need to worry about her when she already chooses to retire?
Youmu asked in curiousity as they were observing the construction process of the new Library as Yukari requested the Kappa to help her build a new library. The Legendary Crane and other birds however showed a hostile attitude toward them.
Legendary Crane: Beware of your scheme, Yukari! You are meddling too much into our affair!
Alt Yukari: Mind your own business, Legendary Crane! Your reign in Hakoniwa is over! Now move along!
The Crane didn't talk anymore as Alternative Yukari retorted in retaliation. It simply flied away to a new place built specifically for the Gods.
Nitori: This place feels strangely similar to Gensokyo. The culture, another Yukari and the existence of Gods.
Nitori looked around with an amazed look as she and the other Kappa began to take a look at Kotou.
Yukari: But with more hostility than usual. The bitter rivalry between the parallel Yukari and the Crane would cause more problem for this place.
Alternative Yukari suddenly grabbed a black spherical orb then gave it to Yukari.
Alt Yukari: While I had my bad relationship to the Crane, I myself hold no hostility to Vạn Thư. After all she accidentally helped me without knowing it. Let's just say this is a thanking gift for her in exchange for her loss of the Duality Brush.
Yukari simply tossed it into her boundary. The orb appeared at the Suzunaan instantly along with the thanking notes written by Alternative Yukari.
Meanwhile in Gensokyo, Vạn Thư had been getting drunk last night in Geidontei because she got sick of everything happened lately. There never seem to be a moment where she won't get into trouble ever since she left the Library.
Vạn Thư: I should never leave the library in the first place…
She whispered in her sleep with a very bitter voice. Yet suddenly Himari showed up and asked her to meet Kosuzu. Vạn Thư simply curled herself around her blanket.
Vạn Thư: I will meet her later.
Himari: But she said you got a present from someone from Suzunaan! That present was being called as Memory Orb!
Vạn Thư suddenly jolted up and instantly rushed out to find Kosuzu!
Later on
Vạn Thư: I see, so the Second Founder was actually another Yukari. Why my life could be so bad!?
Vạn Thư simply crushed the letter in her palm in anger after she read the letter. Kosuzu and Akyuu meanwhile looked at the Memory Orb with a curious look.
Kosuzu: How does this thing worked anyway?
Akyuu: Why did she give you this orb as a thanking gift?
Vạn Thư: Because I 'helped' her by accident. Still, I would not treat it as a compensation for the loss of my brush. But at the same time this gift must not be overlooked because how precious it was.
Vạn Thư simply put her hand into the orb and it began to glow with the bright light. Suddenly the entire Suzunaan erupted in a bright light instantly!
Vạn Thư, Kosuzu and Akyuu began to see a strange vision of the entirely different world
Kosuzu: What happened to us!?
Kosuzu asked in a confused voice as she saw everyone in this strange world passed through over her body as if she was a ghost. Akyuu however realized what is happening as she saw they are standing in a middle of a conflict between various soldiers.
Akyuu: This is…
Vạn Thư: A piece of my memory a decade ago, welcome to Hakoniwa…or so I say…Warring State Era
Then she pointed her finger at a Shogun riding on horse commanding all of the soldiers around him
Vạn Thư: This is Shogun Sengi
Kosuzu: I don't see any sight of you among the battle, Vạn Thư.
Akyuu: Is that you!?
Akyuu realized the past Vạn Thư had been wearing the maid costume while running away with a backpack carrying her scrolls across the chaotic fight. She also carried a Ninjato behind her backpack as a self-defense weapon.
Vạn Thư: Yes, the real one. And this ambush was actually meant to kill me not Sengi. They treated me as a greater threat than him.
And then the scene changed as Vạn Thư began to use her blade to fight off the ambushers as they wanted to kill her to steal the scrolls inside her backpack. To everyone surprise they didn't realize she could fight likes a real swordsman despite of her position as a librarian and a disguised maid.
Despite of that she still runs away in panic as she couldn't beat them all, only then a familiar figure suddenly appeared in the edge of a forest firing arrow out of the well-hidden spot. A soldier shouted in anger as they realized there was an ambusher behind them.
Akyuu: So it was your dummy decoy right?
Vạn Thư: I always had a few dummy decoys to protect me within such moments even if it would cost my own magical power. Because of this I couldn't use much scrolls because I needed those decoys to protect me in case they found out I was the real one.
Kosuzu: Where did you learn how to fight like that?
Kosuzu looked at her in excitement but she simply answered
Vạn Thư: Because Sengi knew he couldn't protect me so he taught me how to self-defense with any kind of blade. It was mostly a basic fighting skill though. Also, I am immortal after all so I always had some time to practice it even if I'm very busy.
And then the scene changed into a different one, this time a fake Vạn Thư had been riding the horse along with Sengi across the crowd of villager as they treated him as a liberator of this place.
Akyuu: He was quite popular with the villagers wasn't it?
Vạn Thư: Indeed, he might be corrupted by the scrolls and his reliance on me but at the same time none could deny his popularity among the farmers who preferred his rule than the other factions.
Then the scene returned back to normal as Vạn Thư released her hand and deactivated it
Mamizou: Quite a scene wasn't it?
Everyone suddenly realized she had been standing at the doorway while they are watching the history
Mamizou: You should bring show it to the villagers about your history too.
Aya: It will be a hot sell for my newspaper!
Aya suddenly appeared next to Mamizou, and then more Yokai appeared
Suika: Why did you bring me here again, Aya?
Miyoi: I heard that there would be something big in Suzunaan that required my help here
Vạn Thư facepalmed as Mamizou had been spying on them for the whole time!
