The fight ended rapidly even though it was extremely intense at first. Reimu was quite surprised Keihatsu could fight on pair of her even though Vạn Thư used to tell her it is impossible for a librarian to dodge any fast flying object while they are concentrating on casting spell from their scroll.

Furthermore, Keihatsu could summon any scrolls out of midair and attack Reimu within a matter of second. It was clear the Fountain of Miracle could grant her the power beyond a normal librarian, such power level was on pair of the God power on Hakoniwa.

Yukari had been thinking for a brief moment and she decided to keep Keihatsu alive.

Yukari: Keep her alive, we need to extract more information from her!

Reimu nodded and she began to cast her Fantasy Seal to trap Keihatsu inside her wall of seals. Suddenly Youmu appeared from a boundary portal and strike at Keihatsu while she was being distracted! Keihatsu collapsed from midair unconscious but Reimu caught her at the final moment.

Youmu: The things that can't be cut by this blade are next to none!

Youmu made her important speech before she returned back to the portal again. As Youmu sliced through the intangible corruptive magical power that Keihatsu possessed now she is back to normal before she entered the Fountain.

Vạn Thư: Destroy the Fountain NOW!

Reimu casted her Yin Yang Orb to destroy the cave and caused the Fountain to collapse upon the impact. As Yukari transported everyone out of the cave through her portal they began to discuss what to do with Keihatsu by sitting down on top of a hill.

Vạn Thư: Bring her to Gensokyo. She had no place where she belongs to.

Reimu: How did you know that?

Vạn Thư: With this.

She then showed a scroll of royal edict inside her hand where she had taken it from one of the rebels.

Vạn Thư: When I asked those soldiers from the Imperial Army earlier they told me the Emperor wanted to put an end to the librarians by sidelining them out of the war. This could explain why those scrolls had been either disposed by the river back then or simply got stolen by the rebels who stayed loyal to Sengi's vision about keeping those scrolls intact.

If Keihatsu was bold enough to trade her own scrolls just for a map to the Fountain then I'm sure the age of librarians is over, trading a large number of your scrolls means abandoning your role as a librarian permanently. That's why she won't have much place to live after that point.

Reimu: Didn't you become a legendary hero by now? Why bothered disposing those scrolls anyway?

Vạn Thư: Because the new Emperor shared a similar mindset with me when we both feared the power of the scrolls. He knew Sengi need those scrolls during the war but he believed it must be destroyed instead of being kept once the war is over.

Because Sengi couldn't accept the idea of abandoning those scrolls so he got corrupted as the result which angered his son. Eventually his son did what need to be done to dispose it. At least in Gensokyo her knowledge as a former librarian could be useful for Suzunaan just like me.

Later on at the Hakurei Shrine on Gensokyo

Keihatsu woke up and began to explain everything to them as she knew she already got defeated earlier

Keihatsu: My home place was a small village inside Senka region. My family inherited the ancient scrolls back from the time where the strife between the two founders of the Great Library of Hakoniwa happened. Because of that my family was the descendant of the loser of that power struggle.

Still, Sengi saw the unusual talent from me when I first learned the scrolls on my own when I was young along with the immortality caused by those scrolls. As Sengi miscalculated at one certain battle I had been ambushed and abandoned as everyone believed I was dead.

Yet my luck saved me, that fatal fall from the mountain cliff into the river and that arrow shot failed to kill me. I managed to survive but I realized Sengi already recruited a new librarian to be his advisor.

Frustrated, I returned to my village only to find it had been abandoned in a hurry as the villagers evacuated away long ago. The only thing left was the small dungeon where the scrolls remained. It was the least important thing to the villagers including my family.

In the end, my immortality saved me but I couldn't save me from being abandoned by everyone. That's when I began to spend years inside that dungeon to find a way to claim more power as I wanted to revenge for everything wrong with my life.

Naoki might be a lazy officer but I was once his friend and he respected me, this was why I made a deal with him in order to get the ancient map of the Fountain of Miracle. That map had been kept inside the Imperial Library until you burned it. Naoki told me it was a lucky moment that he managed to scramble it after the soldiers stopped the flame from spreading further.

Vạn Thư: But the word 'Miracle' had nothing to do with miracle. All I see was a corruptive power!

Keihatsu: But it did give me power and caused me to create scrolls from midair. That's means it does have a purpose!

Keihatsu looked at her with while telling the truth, Vạn Thư only feel a little scared when she realized she almost tried to search for it just like Keihatsu because every annoying events so far caused her to rethink of her voice for finding that Fountain. Yukari meanwhile left the conversation as she began to visit her parallel in Kotou again

Alt Yukari: What do you meant I was involved with Keihatsu incident?

Yukari: You told me and Kosuzu there are no Fountain of Youth and everything was a rumor. Yet a young librarian like Keihatsu could find it in Hakoniwa while Vạn Thư used to spend her time searching for it in Gensokyo.

Both Yukari began to play the Shogi chess. Yet beneath their conversation was a hidden tension between them just like their scheme on the chessboard.

Alt Yukari: I don't think I know anything about that.

Yukari: There is no point to hide. We could easily read each other like an open book. You merely come to Gensokyo not to have a traveling tour but it was meant to spy on my place and see if Vạn Thư already found the Fountain or not.

And in that same manner Keihatsu should be dead but there wasn't any helping hand huh?

Surely you won't try to manipulate them once they got corrupted completely?

Yukari showed her mysterious smile as she instantly pointed out the scheme of her parallel. Alternative Yukari simple sighed as she couldn't outsmart Yukari.

Alt Yukari: Fine, you win!

Alternative Yukari began to explain the rest of the story

Alt Yukari: Surely none of them could find out those ancient documents when it was supposed to be burned during the time the Crane won the fight. It was I who sneaked in the guiding tip for them when they didn't notice it. It was a nice way to influence other without alarming the Crane or other.

I already conducted my plan long ago before you arrived to prepare everything necessary to get me to my goal. As we speak my plan had been moving on in a progressive manner.

Just like I said it before, if I could inject my spell into my scrolls to prevent you from entering I could make a scheme right beneath your nose to outsmart you. After all I don't like to be controlled by someone else especially my own doppelganger. I lied to you and Kosuzu just to make sure you could stop interfering with my plan and I almost succeeded from doing so.

Alternative Yukari looked at Yukari with a hostile look

Alt Yukari: And thanks to you the Legendary Crane and other Gods wouldn't interfere into my business anymore.

Yukari: It is our plan. Be careful with your words, parallel me. We are sharing the same goal so it is better to work with me instead of opposing me only to find the same ending as those Gods.

Alt Yukari: Thanks, but no thanks. I fully knew you are trying to reshape Kotou in your own vision instead of mine. Still, we work together…but I won't guarantee what kind of next move I will make…

Just when Yukari was about to checkmate on the board she suddenly asked

Yukari: Then what about the nightmare Vạn Thư experienced before?

Alt Yukari: It was a normal thing for a librarian to experience such prophecy nightmare it but it was also a rare occurrence and I never expected she could predict my scheme with her own nightmare. After all even if we are the librarians with a strong resistance to scroll corruption sometime the corruption found its way in and those nightmares was the byproduct of it.

Yukari: So it was her luck that stopped you from doing your plan.

Alt Yukari: As I said earlier. My plan is on the move.

Yukari: Checkmate!

Yukari made her last move on the chessboard

Meanwhile in the room of Vạn Thư, while Keihatsu was sleeping in her shared bed Vạn Thư stayed awake and burned her ancient scroll that lead to the Fountain of Miracle

Vạn Thư: There should be no one to claim this troublesome thing anymore.
