"So, what will you do?" Satine says, as she gets up off the floor.
"First, I'm going to have to tell the Council, then I'm going to have to break the news to Anakin and Ahsoka. I'm just worried about the 212th." Obi-Wan says, his brows creased in worry.
"Maybe you can take them with you?" Satine suggests.
"I'm leaving the Jedi, not going rogue, Duchess." Obi-Wan says, letting out a huff.
"Well, yes. I was merely suggesting an idea. Maybe Anakin will take them on." Satine states.
"Hopefully, the men should be under someone who will care for them and see them as individuals, not just clones." Obi-Wan states. Obi-Wan's comm beeps and he looks at it quickly.
"The Council is calling for me. I'll see you later, Cyar'ika." Obi-Wan says, he kisses her on the cheek and leaves.
"Good luck, Ben." Satine says, as she watches her lover rush off.
"You called for me, Masters?" Obi-Wan says, as he walks into the chambers.
"Yes, Master Kenobi. You and your troops are being sent out tomorrow, you have another mission to complete." Master Windu says.
"I'm afraid I'm going to have to decline, Master Windu." Obi-Wan says. Yoda looks at Obi-Wan and already knows what's about to happen.
"I wasn't asking, Obi-Wan." Mace replies.
"I don't think I can do that, Mace, because I'm no longer a General. I'm relinquishing my title as a Master and General. And I am leaving the Jedi Order." Obi-Wan says and everyone in the rooms gasps in shock.
"If you do this, Obi-Wan, you are no longer a Jedi." Luminara says.
"I understand that." Obi-Wan says. Yoda looks at Obi-Wan, his Force signature somber yet happy for Obi-Wan.
"Why are you leaving now, Kenobi, when you are needed in the war?" Mundi asks.
"I'm leaving now because I'm tired of this pointless war, it should never have happened in the first place! Since when do Jedi fight for the Senate, and since when do we practice slavery? Making clones fight because that's what they were made for? Granted we didn't create them, but we're still the ones sending them to their deaths every day!
From a certain point of view, I agree with Dooku, the Jedi aren't what they used to be, what they're supposed to be, and I will no longer take part in whatever this Order is now made of.
The war has been going on forever, there's someone behind it, that you guys refuse to investigate because you let yourselves become the puppets of the Senate." Obi-Wan scolds.
"Then we could use your help, Kenobi. You can't just leave, you're one of the brightest Jedi we have!" Fisto exclaims. "What's so important, that you are just suddenly leaving!"
"I'm leaving because I actually found something worth fighting for!" Obi-Wan shouts, losing his calm demeanor.
"Made his decision, Obi-Wan has. Enough of this pointless argument. Sad it will be, losing our brightest Jedi. But happy I am for you, young Obi-Wan. Hope you shall have many happy years to come, I do. May the Force be with you, my Grand-Padawan." Yoda says, smiling gently.
"Thank you, Master Yoda. And may the Force be with you." Obi-Wan says and exits the room. Plo exits his seat and rushes after him.
"I'm happy for you, my friend, at least one nice thing has come out of this bloodshed war." Plo says.
"Thanks, Plo. I hope Mace comes to say goodbye before I go." Obi-Wan says.
"He'll turn around. Might I ask though, who you are leaving for?" Plo asks, if he wasn't wearing his mask, he would have been smirking.
"Yes, I'm going to Mandalore with the Duchess." Obi-Wan says, blushing.
"I knew it. Well, I hope your adventures are happy ones." Plo says, bidding him farewell.
"Thank you, Plo. May the Force be with you." Obi-Wan says.
"And with you, my friend." Plo says and rushes back into the chambers that have erupted into chaos.
"This next part won't be fun." Obi-Wan mutters, as he heads to Anakin's quarters.
"I thought I said to leave us alone, Obi-Wan." Anakin says, as he opens his door.
"Yes, but I have something to tell you and 'Soka. I'm afraid it's rather important." Obi-Wan says. Anakin looks at him unsure but then opens the door, motioning for him to come in.
"Is 'Soka here?" Obi-Wan asks, curiously.
"No, she's hanging out with Bariss right now, but she's due to arrive any second now." Anakin says.
"I'll wait for her then." Obi-Wan says and sits down on the sofa.
"Listen, Obi-Wan, what I said earlier, I'm sorry, I didn't mean any of it, you're a really great Master and I'm glad you're not really dead. I think I just need some time to process what happened though." Anakin says, apologizing.
"It's all right, Anakin, thank you. And once again, I'm sorry." Obi-Wan says.
"Are you okay, Obi-Wan? You're acting weird?" Anakin asks, concerned for his former Master. Ahsoka comes in at that moment and is surprised at seeing Obi-Wan in the living room.
"Come sit down, Snips. Obi-Wan wants to tell us something." Anakin says. Ahsoka sits down and Obi-Wan speaks.
"Before I break the news to you, there's something I must tell you first." Anakin moves to interrupt but Obi-Wan puts up his hand, waving him off.
"The Rako Hardeen mission, I never wanted to be a part of it. Neither did the rest of the Jedi, but the Chancellor forced our hand, and forced me to fake my death, I really wanted to tell you and Ahsoka, but I couldn't, the Chancellor said that could be seen as a betrayal to the Republic." Ahsoka gasps at the new information.
"I promise you, I wanted to tell you guys, and I'm truly sorry. Especially to you 'Soka, it wasn't fair that you had to hold your Grand-masters body, I know what it's like to hold your Master while they're dying and I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy, especially you 'Soka. I'm so sorry to the both of you." Obi-Wan says, his voice somber.
"I'm so sorry, Obi-Wan. I had no idea!" Anakin says, his eyes wide in shock that his so-called friend would threaten his Master.
"What's the news though, Master Kenobi?" Ahsoka asks, curiously. Obi-Wan lets out a sigh and then speaks.
"I'm afraid this won't be easy to say but, I'm leaving the Jedi Order." Obi-Wan cautiously states.
"What?! Why are you leaving?!" Anakin shouts and Ahsoka gasps, her eyes widening in shock.
"To sum it short, the Jedi Order isn't what it used to be, this whole war, it's all horrible. Every day the vod is being sent to their deaths, and then we just replace them because we can always make more clones, it's just wrong. This whole war is just wrong." Obi-Wan somberly states.
"Then we can fix it, Obi-Wan, you can't just leave!" Anakin protests.
"I'm not only leaving because of the war, Anakin. I'm leaving because I found someone." Obi-Wan says.
"Oh." Anakin says.
"Is it the Duchess, Master Kenobi?" Ahsoka asks, curiously.
"Yes, little 'Soka, it is." Obi-Wan says, letting out a laugh.
"But what about the "no attachments" thing?" Anakin asks.
"I don't think I've ever truly believed in that. The Duchess has always had a place in my heart. Like you and Ahsoka. I love all three of you guys. You, Anakin, you're like a son to me, and little 'Soka, you're like a daughter to me. And I love both of you dearly." Obi-Wan says, fondly.
"And you're like our father, we love you too, Master Obi-Wan." Ahsoka says, tears forming in her eyes.
"I can't believe you're leaving though, what am I going to do without you?" Anakin says, thinking.
"You'll still have Ahsoka and Padme, Anakin. Plus, it's not like I'm cutting off contact with you two." Obi-Wan says.
"Yeah." Anakin's eyes widen. "Wait, how did you know about Padme?"
"You two aren't very subtle, my friend." Obi-Wan says, laughing.
"I have something to confess then, I'm married to her." Anakin says, hesitating.
"I knew it!" Ahsoka shouts.
"I had a feeling you'd say that." Obi-Wan says. "I'm happy for you two."
"Thanks, Obi-Wan. That means a lot." Anakin says.
"When do you leave then, Master Obi-Wan?" Ahsoka asks.
"Soon, whenever the Duchess is ready to leave, I'll be accompanying her." Obi-Wan says.
"Then let's spend some time together before you have to go." Ahsoka suggest.
"That's a great idea, Snips." Anakin says.
The three of them all sit closely together on the sofa, Ahsoka to the right of Obi-Wan, her head on his shoulder, and Anakin to the left, watching a holovid.
"I'll miss you, Buir." Ahsoka says, clinging on to Obi-Wan.
"I'll miss you too, Ad'ika." Obi-Wan says, rubbing her shoulders, comfortingly.
