New York City, New York, USA (2024)

It was a sunny day, as the sounds of talking could be heard throughout LaGuardia Airport. The hallways lined with the noises of everyday people going about their business like usually. One of these people included a brother and a sister, both around ten years old playing with a small ball as they chased it throughout the gate they were in. Finally they saw the ball hit the foot of a unsuspecting person.

This person was a large and tall man who was wearing a black trench coat and had sunglasses on despite being inside. The skin on his body was incredibly tanned but could still make out the dark brown skin on it that mixed in with the tanned skin. He got up and picked up the ball as the brother and sister who were chasing it immediately stopped seeing him pick it up.

The man soon smiled and offered the ball back to the kids and said, "Here I think this belongs to you."

The brother soon tentatively approached him and took the ball back before thanking him as he and his sister soon ran off.

The man saw the kids running off as his smile soon disappeared, wishing those kids would never have to experience the childhood he had. Or hell, the life he had instead. Because as much as he didn't want to be, he wasn't exactly a normal human.

His name was Purushottam Edwardson, and he was a magus.

He wasn't one affiliated with the Mages' Association or even Clocktower, but one here in America called the Department of Magic. They had heard of the upcoming Holy Grail War and decided to send one of their own to claim the grail before those Clocktower bastards could.

Purushottam got up with a sigh and looked for the next flight to Fuyuki, and contemplated if he was really ready to head down this path.

He sighed, this was going to be a major pain in the ass for him.

Fuyuki, Japan (2024)

His flight from New York City to Fuyuki was a bit longer than he expected as he grabbed his briefcase and went to meet with his contact before he summoned his servant.

Arriving at a café, he saw a middle-aged Japanese man reading a newspaper while a cup of tea was in front of him.

"You know that keeping a person waiting is generally considered rude, you know Mr. Edwardson?" The man said while sipping some tea.

"Oh can it, with how long you have been living I doubt a few hours is going to kill you." Purushottam said playfully before sitting down and ordering himself a coffee.

The man, Riku Nakai simply sighed as his sat his paper down and turned to face him.

"Well regardless, I am glad to see that you didn't have any trouble making it to Japan. Though I wonder if you did take any injuries beforehand." Riku said.

"I doubt it, I can tell that only five servants have been summoned so far so attacking a master without one would be considered dishonorable. Even mages have that right?" Purushottam said as his coffee came to him.

Riku smiled as he asked if Purushottam had his catalyst for his summoning.

"Yep, I even brought all the way from New York despite the risk. Now what about your end of the baragin old man?" Purushottam asked.

"Yes yes. Well, you don't have to worry, I called the overseerer and had you registered as a master already. Not to mention after some snooping, I can tell you that only two masters in this war are backed by Clocktower." Riku said as he sipped some tea.

Purushottam smiled and thanked him for the information.

"Oh don't thank me, after all I ain't doing this out of the goodness of my heart." Riku said.

"Yeah I know, I will call the Department and tell them we owe you one." Purushottam said as he got up.

Riku nodded and wished good luck in the war and he finished sipping his tea.

Purushottam looked back and nodded at the old mage, knowing that he was going to need it more than ever.

Soon it was nightime in Fuyuki as Purushottam was at a large field clearing. He has drawn a large magic circle on the grass and placed his summoning catalyst in the middle of it which just show happened to be a broken arrow head.

He soon looked up in the sky and wondered if the grail could truly grant his wish.

"Sis… I hope you are watching me." Purushottam thought as he began to chant for his summon

"Let silver and bronze be the essence. Let stone and archduke of the contract by the foundation. Let white be the color I pay tribute towards and the shadow of my power! Let it be declared now, that if you seek the grail's miracle, then let your flesh become real and become my servant! Answer if you submit to this will and truth!"

As he finished the incantation, a blast of magical energy exploded from the circle as it knocked Purushottam back with a furious vengeance.

As he regained consciousness, he saw a tall man with black hair and black eyes. He was wearing a white dress and his entire aura exuded confidence and strength.

The servant soon turned to Purushottam and with a smirk asked "Hello, tell me. Are you my master?"
