The secret life of pets: Itchy

When they always see their master with the creepy rat man, she was always the happiest, which means, most of the time she would spend most of her time with him. They loved seeing their master happy and they want her to be happy, but they also want space from her from time to time, and today was one of those days. She left with him somewhere, the animals were happy that she didn't need anyone of them for a spell, or a familiar, or anything zodiac related.

Itchy: Well she's gone for the day with rat man and we have nothing to do, with zodiac or witch stuff today.

Diablo: You sound like you enjoy that stuff.

Itchy: I don't, it's just I enjoy being around her.

Max: It sounds to me like someone's jealous.

Itchy: No! I'm not jealous, I'm just worried about her safety, we don't know this family, or what this territory is, just saying.

Diablo: Do you think he's the one?

Max: Who knows, she's smittin' pretty hard, which I can't bear to understand.

Chico: I mean she's been with him the most out of all the people here.

Pluto: And she seems the happiest with him, I have never seen her this happy before.

Itchy: Yeah…that's….true.

So is this finally it?! Does she not need me anymore?! I mean sure I'm decaying a little bit but…

Pluto, Chico, and Diablo can feel the tension.

Chico: What's wrong buddy?

Diablo: Yeah you look as good as I feel.

Max: Yeah, like shit.

Pluto: Is it because…

Itchy: No, I'm happy for her, it's just I'm slowly dying, and I just want her to be happy before… you know… I go.

Meanwhile

Antonio was looking for his Tia Melissa when he went to his Tio Bruno's room. He heard the animals talking among themselves.

Chico: What's wrong buddy?

Diablo: Yeah you look as good as I feel.

Max: Yeah, like shit.

Pluto: Is it because…

Itchy: No, I'm happy for her, it's just I'm slowly dying, and I just want her to be happy before… you know… I go.

Chico: You're leaving us?! How do you know?!

Han's came out of his hidey-hole

Hans: Will you guys ever shut up?! it's five in the afternoon! I only have to have eight-teen hours of sleep!

Then he goes back to his hidey-hole. Then the door opened to reveal the small boy who can talk to animals.

Antonio: Do you want me to tell Tia Melissa?

Itchy looked at him with sad eyes.

Itchy: As much as I want to rest, I can't leave until I fully know for sure that she would be truly happy.

Then they looked out of the window and saw them kissing.

Antonio: It looks like she's pretty happy here.

Max: God, now that's freaking disgusting.

Antonio: What, being in love? My Mami and Papi, my Tio Augustin and Tia Julieta are the same way, I think it's cute.

Max: Kid, love is just a thing so people can repopulate the earth, it doesn't mean anything, love is a lie.

Chico: Max what the hack, he's just a kit!

Max: He's not a kitten Chico! He's a human boy he needs to know the truth….

Diablo: Which you have no clue either!

Itchy: Hmm, she does seem happier here.

Antonio: You seem disappointed. Why?

Itchy: I was born when her father passed away, we've been best friends for ages, I love her so much it hurts. She's more like a sister to me than my master. I can't leave here until I know she's truly happy, I want her to specifically tell me she's happy and she doesn't need me anymore.

Antonio: If you have me talk to her she might…

Itchy: Don't worry little boy who can talk to animals, I'll tell her soon, I promise.

5 years later

Itchy's pov

It's been five years and my Master is happily married to the rat man, and they had three beautiful kids of their own, I think now is the time to tell her, I have to find the animal boy. I found him in his room, as I slipped in the "Animal door" on his door. He noticed as soon as I came in with a limp. He was worried for me, but he was also worried for his Tia, my master.

Antonio: Itchy, you don't look so good, is it time?

Itchy: I hate to admit it, but yeah, I think so.

Antonio: Do you want me to take you to Tia Melissa?

Itchy: Yeah… I think….it's time….thank…you.

Then they left on Jaggie to go find his Tia Melissa and his Tio Bruno. They found Bruno and Melissa near a beautiful river next to a tree big enough to shade them from the harsh sun, they were on their alone time having a picnic. They suddenly jumped up as they saw Antonio coming up towards them with Itchy in his arms.

Antonio: Tia, Tio I know this is your guys' time away but it's Itchy….

Melissa: What about Itchy hon?

Then he handed Itchy over to his Tia Melissa, who looked over to him and then to Bruno, he was breathing lightly in her arms as he sadly looked up at Melissa. It was then she knew it was the end. She hastily moved over towards Bruno, as he took her with Itchy over towards the river and the trees, where the shade was enough to cover them. They started to tear up, as Bruno sat behind Melissa holding her close, knowing what was to come. Itchy breathed slowly between whines as he knew his time was fading fast.

Antonio: He says my dearest friend Melissa, (Whines) I know I have no time for this world,… (whines) but I was lucky I spent my time with you…(Whines)… and… you kept me longer than I've should have been… but it's not your fault, and don't blame yourself…(Whines)… I don't blame you, in fact, I was so happy to see you finally get married and start a family…(whines) So, are you truly happy? (Antonio sobs)

Antonio, Bruno, and Melissa were in tears at this point. Melissa was patting his head to comfort him one last time.

Melissa: Y-yes of course!

Antonio, Itchy: Ok…say… that…you're happy… and you…don't….need me…. Anymore… then… I can…finally…be at…peace.

For an agonizing moment, she just stood there staring at him contemplating on what to do, she look at him, then Bruno, then Antonio for help, and after a moment she slowly spoke.

Melissa: Ah'm… ah'm…ah'm sorry… A-ah'I can't….

Antonio, Itchy: Please….

Melissa took a deep agonizing breath, as she was preparing herself for what she was about to say.

Melissa: Ah'm… Happy…and…ah'I…ah'i…don't… need ya…. Anymore.

Nothing but stilled silence.

Antonio, Itchy: That..doesn't… sound… reassuring.

Melissa: What?! Ya want meh ta smile while sayin' this?! Ah'I can't!

Antonio, Itchy: Please…(whine) for me.

Then Melissa mentally kicked herself, as she tried to prepare herself to conjure up a smile for her dying friend.

Melissa: Ah'm happy, and ah'I don't need ya anymore, now please rest in peace mah friend, ah'i…ah'I love ya.

Then his breathing slowly stopped as his head and his whole body went limp. As tears slowly begin to form in their eyes. After a while, Bruno grabbed everything from their date, while Melissa held her Brother/ Companion as they walked back to casita. As in a Deja Voo, she found a box next to casita, as she put him into the box, and found a rock and did the same thing that she did for Carlos. Bruno started digging as Melissa dropped to her knees and burst into tears.

Melissa: Just now ah'I just carried him and he weighed no more than two grapes, the same weight as our Carlos, even though his ideal weight is supposed ta be 10 ta 15 ibs, it feels like ah'm barrin our son again! (Sobs)

Bruno didn't say anything, and just put his arms around her.

Melissa: Ah'm so angry at mah self, at him, he should have told meh years ago if he felt this way!... But, ah'I also felt relieved… that he's finally at peace, but ah'm also feeling guilty for makin' him wait so long, even though his body was slowly decayin' on itself.

Bruno: Aw, mei amor it's not your fault.

Melissa: Ah'I used him as a ginny pig to see if ah'I could bring back mah Dad, which was the stupidest idea ah'ive ever had! Ah'I should of just let him rest the first time, just said mah goodbyes like a normal person, but no ah'I treated him like a puppet, ah'I know ah'I was so selfish back then, about trying to get my father back, and when ah'I was researchin' how to get him back, Itchy and Sparky then passed away.

Bruno and Antonio: Who's Sparky?!

Melissa: She was mah sister's dog, who became our dog, well anyways When Ah'I tried to revive Sparky…

Then Melissa looked grim.

Melissa: She…she didn't come out ta pretty. Let's just say she was put down after that, now Itchy was mah first success, and Ah'I regret everythin'.

Antonio: But, it's not your fault Tia, he even told me it wasn't your fault, he wasn't even mad, he wanted to stay just to make sure you were happy, he also asked me to give these to you.

Then he pulled out some things and gave them to her. It was a blue ribbon and some of his teeth.

Antonio: He says that these might help you to remember him.

Melissa then took out a silk cloth and gently took the teeth and put them in her pocket, then she took the shiny blue ribbon and tied it carefully to her hair.

Bruno: That color of bowe looks good on you mei amor. He knew how to pick the perfect color.

Melissa: Thank ya, it is a nice ribbon…thank ya, both of ya for bein' with meh when he passed. Ya know before we know it, we're gonna have a mini graveyard. Ah'I mean we have Carlos, Pinky, Hans, and now Itchy just joined them.

Then Delorse walked up with Mariano, their kids, and the triplets. Then the red-headed triplet spoke.

Jorge: HI Mami, Premia Delorse said that you, Papi, and Premio Antonio were out here, she also told us that you guys were burying Itchy, we're going to miss him Mami.

Hernando, and Sophia: Yeah we all will miss him.

Melissa: Yeah ah'll miss him the most, do ya see him, Jorge?

Jorge: Si Mami, he's with some little boy, do you know a little boy Carlos?

Then everyone had a Grimm look on their faces. Melissa looked to Bruno, then to Jorge, Hernando, Sophia, and then everyone else.

Melissa: Bruno Ah'I think it's time to tell them, (Sigh) Si, hon ah'I know him. See a long time ago, before you guys were born me and your father were expectin' another baby, your brother Carlos… but he never made it ta bein'… Born. (Tears started rolling down everyone's faces except the Delorse's and Mariano's kids, and the triplets)

Jorge: So, is it why we can shift into different animals and Abuelo for being what he is?

Everyone was shocked.

Melissa: Well it depends on what animal form you're talking about, your bunny form is from it was a curse that we had for a few generations on both sides, your fox and wolves demon hound forms are from Abuelo Stolas and Mah Papi.

Hernando: Why?!

Sophia: What, I like my wolf demon form.

Jorge: I like it too, but why?

Melissa: Well, see Ah'I had a little trubble of havin' a baby, so your other Abuelo, Stolas performed surgery to where Ah'I can conceive children. And that's why ya can shift inta Ya'r wolf and fox forms.

Jorge: They're gone Mami, They're gonna miss ya and Papi.

Melissa: Rest in peace my mijo, and Itchy my friend.

Then they all went back to casita.
