9.00. a.m., the first day of school. The bus was filled with many conversations.

"For the last time, Revenge of the Sith is a good movie!", a boy with brown hair said to his friend.

"Are you kidding me?!", his red-haired friend replied. "The original trilogy is way better than that!"

"Oh, my gosh, I'm so excited to start high school with you!", a tanned girl exclaimed.

"Me too!", her chubby friend exclaimed as well.

"Hey, look! I can stuff five peanuts up my nose!", a red-haired girl shouted.

"Hooray", an Indian-Canadian boy snarked.

Suddenly, the bus stopped to pick up another student. He looked very familiar...

"Hey, hey, hey, guys!", Geoff exclaimed, as he entered the bus. "The Geoffster is finally in the house!"

"Hey! Take a seat, ya ingrate!", the bus driver replied.

"Hey, Geoff, over there!", a black, muscled guy waved to him.

"DJ! What's been up, man?", Geoff high-fived him and sat next to him.

"Same old, same old", DJ replied.

"Hey! Don't I know you?", Geoff heard a voice behind him. It was Bridgette.

"Oh, hi!", Geoff said. "I've never thought, that we'd go to the same high school together!"

"Neither did I!", Bridgette replied.

"Hey, girl, is this seat taken?", Leshawna, who got on the bus right after Geoff, asked her.

"Uh, yeah, sure", Bridgette said.

After a while, the bus stopped once again to pick up a person. It was Gwen. As she got on the bus, everyone started staring at her, but she didn't care. She sat on a free seat and put her earphones on. Suddenly, she heard someone asking:

"Whatcha listening here?"

Gwen opened her eyes in shock and look at the person, who was asking her that. It was a guy with short, black hair and green eyes, who was carrying a guitar with himself.

"Oh... My Chemical Romance.. i-it's a punk band", Gwen replied, a bit shocked.

"Cool", the student chuckled. "May I listen to it for a while?"

"Sure", Gwen replied. "How do you know that band anyway?"

"Oh, my brother listens to them a lot", the guy replied. "I prefer a bit calmer sounds, though."

"Awesome", Gwen said. "I'm not the type, who'd make a lot of friends, but my name is Gwen".

"I'm Trent, nice to meet you", he replied and shook her hand. "So, what other artists do you like?"

"Well, I also like Green Day, and a bit of Simple Plan", Gwen said. "What about you?"

"Oh, jeez, I've got so many...", Trent replied. "This is gonna take a while..."

Moments later, the bus arrived to the school and the students quickly got out of it and ran to the building to find the gym hall, where they were supposed to meet with the principal.

"Attention, everyone!", the principal announced, as everyone has seated. "Welcome back, students and welcome, freshmen, to Berkeley High! I'm your principal, Chris McLean, and it'll be a wonderful experience to have you as this school's students!"

"It's at least how you think", Gwen scoffed silently.

"Now, lemme tell you something about your time here...", principal McLean continued.

"Oh, geez, here comes the boredom", Leshawna snarked.

After twenty minutes of the principal's speech, all of the student's were close to falling asleep. All of them were very relieved, when it ended.

"So, I hope you all will have a great day! When you leave for class, you may get your class schedules. Okay, you may go to your classes now."

"Oh, thank, God!", Gwen said, when everyone got out of the gym hall. "I couldn't take it any longer!"

"Same, girl", Leshawna, who was walking next to her, nodded.

"Yeah, surfing is much more enternaining that that", Bridgette chimed in.

"Is it me, or do we have the same classes today?", Gwen asked, glancing at thier class schedules.

"Hey, it does look like so!", Leshawna replied. "So, what do we have here, English?"

"Yeah", Bridgette nodded. "Let's go".

At the prinicpal's office, McLean was drinking his coffee at the desk, until he heard a knock to the door.

"Come in!", he said.

One of the teachers, Blaineley O'Halloran, came in with a few books.

"Hey, may I use the copier?", she asked. "I need to print the schedule for the upcoming field trip for the 11th – graders".

"Uh, yes, sure", McLean replied. "So, how was vacation?"

"Oh, it was great", Blaineley said. "A few of my friends and I went to Italy a couple of weeks ago. How about you?"

"Well, you know, same old stuff", the principal replied.

"You still have the summer job at the papershop?", Blaineley asked.

"Yeah", McLean said.

"Okay, I've gotta go, I've got English with the 9th – graders", the teacher said, as she was leaving.

"Wait", the principal stopped her. "I don't know, if you have any plans, but... maybe you'd like to go out for some coffee one day? We haven't seen each other in weeks."

"Oh, sure, maybe", Blaineley said. "I'll think of it".

"Okay", McLean said, as she left his office.
