Chapter 3
Weeks Later
I walked a minute they never were the fit.
Some perspective on these words before i write them.
Lord knows i failed you time and again.
"I think what's happening between us needs to be over." Nathan announced.
Rachel glared up at him as she finished getting dressed.
"I never take my involvement with any man seriously."
"But why all of a sudden do you want to stop the fun.?" Rachel asked.
Nathan looked back at her. "Maybe i want more then just fun." He replied. Watching as she soon left his bedroom.

Brooke and Peyton excitment and chatter filled the exam room.
Haley had just finished an ultrasound.
At 10 weeks pregnant. She was in her 3rd month.
She recently looked at herself naked and saw the changes to her body taking place.
She was just starting to show. Yet she was already growing attached and in love with this child.
Haley knew tackling parenthood on her own would be full of rollcoaster moments. But she was ready and looking forward to it.

Nathan hadn't expected or planned to see or run into Haley.
Yet he was really glad to see her.
She was happy. Glowing.
Haley placed down the bags she had in her hand and looked up at Nathan.
"Great minds think alike. You enjoying some down time. Me doing baby shopping. Why don't we sit down at the food court and talk?" Haley asked.
"Let's do it." Nathan replied.
He picked out closest table possible.
"How are you.?" Nathan asked.
"I'm growing and changing. The baby is doing well. I'm 10 weeks along now. Hows basketball.? Life.?" Haley questioned.
"My career has never been better. Life is good. I know i said no involvement. But i've been thinking.I want to be more involved with the pregnancy and the baby once he or she is here."
"I mean if you would be open to that." Nathan explained.
Haley sighed deeply. "We're friends and Lucas deals with that."
"So i wouldn't mind you being more involved. But i can't help but wonder what brought on this change of heart.?" Haley asked.
I love you. I always have. Nathan thought to himself.
"I'm trying to become a better verison of myself." Nathan replied.
