It had been a few days since Ruby's incident, and she was just waking up.
"RUBY!" cried Yang.
The older girl hugged the younger one lovingly.
"YANG... AIR!"
Yang loosened a bit, and Ruby hugged her sister back.
"What happened?" asked Ruby.
"We freed you from control of Kaos," said Yang, bitterly saying the Portal Master's name, "Next time I see that bastard, I'm going to beat him into a pulp beyond recognition."
After a bit, Ruby and Yang ran into Spyro, Stealth Elf, Pop Fizz, Jet-Vac, and Eruptor.
"Hey guys," said Ruby, "What's been going on so far since I was asleep?"
"Well, nothing much," said Spyro, "Although, we have been a bit worried about Blake."
"What's wrong with her?" asked Ruby concerned about her team mate.
"She's been a bit... distant," said Stealth, "Ever since your dark form nearly killed you. She saw what happens when you are infected by the darkness. After you were knocked unconscious, she's been in the library, doing research, trying to find Torchwick."
"How long has this been going on?" asked Ruby.
"About 3 weeks," said Jet-Vac, "she's really been neglecting her daily needs."
"She doesn't look too good either," said Eruptor, "I think she might die of exhaustion at this rate."
"We've tried everything," said Pop Fizz, "Except mine and Trig's idea."
"For the last time," said Spyro, "We are NOT tying her to her bed, and knocking her out when ever she tried to wake up again!"
"Oh come on, it's great on paper!" said Pop.
"I'll talk to her," said Yang, "I know what to do."
In the library...
Blake was rubbing her eyes. She had dark bags under them, and were a bit blood shot.
Should I take a break? she thought, No, Ruby almost died at the hands of this maniac. I need to find Torchwick. Anywhere Torchwick is, Kaos might be close as well.
Blake then saw a red dot on her screen. Blake stared at it for a bit, and started to bat at it for a bit. Her instincts soon took over, and she followed the dot, to Yang, Night Shift, and Gill Grunt.
"Hello!" sand Yang.
"Yang, what are you doing here?"
"First off, sorry about this," said Night Shift.
"Sorry about wh-"
Blake was then knocked unconscious, and Yang carried her off.
In an empty class room, Gill Grunt then blasted her with water, waking her up.
"We need to talk," said Gill.
"I don't have time for this!" said Blake.
"Listen to what I have to say first!" said Yang, "It will be very important! I know what you're going through!"
Blake looked at Yang, and sat down saying, "Fine, tell me."

Yang then took a breath, and said, "Ruby and I grew up on Patch, a small island off the coast of Vale. Our parents were huntsmen. Our dad would teach at Signal, and our mom would take missions around the kingdom. Her name was Summer Rose. She was like super mom, baker of cookies, slayer of giant monsters. But one day, she just left for a mission, and she... didn't come back.
"Ruby was really torn apart, but I think she was too young to understand what was going on. But dad was even more crushed. I soon found out why."
"What was the reason?" asked Night Shift.
"Summer wasn't the first love she lost," said Yang, "It was the second. The first... was my mom."
"You're half, siblings?" asked Gill Grunt.
"Yes," said Yang, "Dad never told me much, other then the two of them had been on the same team as Summer, and our uncle Qrow. And that she left me just after I was born. No one has seen her since."
"Why did she leave?" asked Blake.
"That question," continued Yang, "I asked that exact same one to everyone I knew, but they all ended very cold.
"And one day, I found something that I thought might lead me to her. So, I waited for dad to leave, put Ruby in a wagon, and headed off to find the place in the picture. It must have been hours that I walked. I had cuts and bruises, was completely exhausted, but I wasn't going to let anything stop me.
"When we got there, I could barely stand at all. But I made it. And then, those red demon eyes glowing. There we were, a toddler asleep in a wagon, and a stupid little girl too tired to cry for help. Our lives should have ended on that day, but as luck had it, our uncle showed up just in time to save us. After that, I swore never to let my stubbornness get the better of me. It would only lead to putting everyone I knew in greater pain then they already are."
Blake and the two Skylanders were speachless.
Blake then hugged Yang, and said, "Yang, I am so sorry about what happened to you. I under stand what you're saying, but, I'm not a child looking for answers, this is something bigger than that, and I can't just stop do..."
"I'm not asking you to stop!" snapped Yang, "I'm just asking you to slow down! If we destroy ourselves getting so deep into our obsessions, what good are we!?"
"YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND! I'M THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN STOP THEM!"
"NO YOU'RE NOT!" thundered Night Shift, shoving Blake, "If Torchwick, or Kaos came through that door, what would you do then!?"
"I'D FIGHT THEM!"
"YOU'D LOOSE! THEN YOU'D BE ANOTHER VICTIM OF THE EVILIZER!"
Yang helped Blake up, and hugged her, saying, "We're not asking you to stop, just slow down in your search. I haven't stopped looking for my real mother. I just don't let the search take me over. Just like you currently are with Torchwick and Kaos. Please, slow down, not just for you, for the people you care about. We can't ever replace you."
Blake sighed, and broke down crying, "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry!"
"It's okay," said Yang, "I don't blame you. And neither does Ruby."
"She's awake?"
"Yeah, just this afternoon."
"Also," said Gill Grunt, "we're planning with a party to celebrate this festival that's coming. You can come if you want."
The three left, and Blake was left with her thoughts.
She then realized what they said was true, and she needed to slow down.
"For them," she said. Blake then walked to her dorm, and fell asleep peacefully. She really needed it.
