I don't remember this part too well, so I'm reading the manga as I go. Hopefully, you'll enjoy the chapter, even if it's short.

Ichigo didn't know how long they ran, but it had to be at least 20 minutes. Before Ichigo questioned if they were going the right way, they heard a loud explosion ahead of them.

"What was that?" he asked.

"It felt like an Arrancar," answered Tenebris.

"It was the Tres Bestias!" exclaimed Nel, who clung to Ichigo's back. The orange-haired shinigami yelped in surprise, not knowing how or when Nel got there.

"Nel, what are you doing there?" he questioned.

Nel smiled smugly and replied, "I'm watching your back."

"Well, warn me next time," Ichigo muttered.

Tenebris ran up beside them and asked, "You said something about Tres Bestias. What is that?"

Nel had a look of fear in her eyes, and Ichigo was sure he saw her skin pale. "Tres Bestias means three beasts. They are Harribel's fraccion and are the scariest monsters here."

Ichigo, Tenebris, and Shiro didn't look impressed. "They don't feel that strong," said Shiro. "Quite the opposite."

"I hate to say it, but Shiro is right," said Tenebris.

Another explosion grabbed their attention, but this one was bigger and louder.

"That was a big one," said Ichigo, seeing the resulting dust flying in the air a few meters away from them.

"I don't think it was the Arrancar this time," said Uryu.

Tenebris lifted her nose in the air and sniffed, but whatever she smelled was awful because she gagged. "Oh, Gaga! What is that scent?!" she questioned.

"What's it smell like?" asked Ichigo.

"I don't know how to explain that smell. I can pick up the scent of Quincy, but it is blocked by whatever the rotting smell is. It's like a combo of old blood, rotten meat, and bad eggs."

Ichigo's face turned green. "That sounds awful."

"Yeah, no wonder you almost lost your lunch," Urahara joyfully said, trying to lighten the mood.

"Why is that scent blocking the Quincy one?" asked Uryu with a raised eyebrow.

"Soul Scents are a good way to gain a ton of information about a person," Tenebris explained. "I can smell this guy's soul, and judging by his horrible stench: he is a terrible person."

"You sure that you're not smelling Arrancar blood? There is a fight happening over there," asked Ichigo.

"That blood's fresh. Didn't you hear me when I said it was OLD blood?" Tenebris was beginning to go into a bad mood. The scent must be bothering her more than Ichigo thought.

They made it up the last dune that looked over the fight, but it was over by the time they reached the top. Three female Arrancar were bloodied and defeated, and a Quincy, who wore a hat over a bad haircut, was standing there like he didn't just get done taking down three powerful opponents.

The lone Quincy turned to face them, showing zero surprise at seeing them. "Ah, it would appear we have more guests," he said.

Tenebris glared down at him. "I already don't like this guy. He's way too full of himself," she said.

Nel climbed onto Ichigo's shoulder to see what was happening, only to become shocked when she saw the three beasts defeated.

"No way! How did he defeat them so quickly?" she questioned.

Ichigo saw that the enemy tilted his head when Nel revealed herself. "A shinigami with hollows and Arrancar. That's not something you see every day," he said, causing Tenebris to see that Chad, Uryu, and Urahara were too far down to be seen by the Quincy.

Ichigo looked back to the rest of their party and thought, 'shouldn't he have felt them?'

"Anyway," Ichigo's attention was brought back to the enemy, "I know who you are, so it isn't too shocking to see the company you bring with you, Ichigo Kurosaki."

Tenebris rolled her eyes. "Yeah, Yeah, we get it. Everyone knows who Ichigo is at this point. I would be shocked if you didn't. At least we can say your boss isn't stupid. He did his homework before declaring war," she said with sarcasm dripping into her words. "Now, are we going to fight or what? I'm not sure you noticed, but I don't like you. You remind me too much of a Nazi, and I doubt they were this bad." She pointed to all the mangled bodies scattered around the man. "Why kidnap all these Arrancar if you're only going to torture them till they die? I know you're supposed to recruit them; you guys did have that one Arrancar attack Ichigo not long ago."

"Which I had the pleasure of killing," said Shiro with an evil grin.

"Your method of recruiting isn't going to get you anywhere, but something tells me that wasn't your main goal, was it?" Tenebris finished speaking.

The evil Quincy smirked. "Why don't you find out?"

"I think he's inviting ya to beat him to a bloody pulp, Feathers," said Shiro, gripping the hilt of his sword.

Tenebris held out her wing to stop the hollow from attacking. "If that's what he wants, then I will. You guys help the others."

Shiro tsked, "Why do I have to get the boring job?"

"Suck it up, Shiro," said Ichigo. "You're not the only one that has to do it."

"SEE YOU LATER, GUYS!" Tenebris shouted as she began her onslaught of attacks, which Ichigo was shocked to see the lead Quincy blocked.

"Well, while you guys help the other Arrancar, I have a job to do," said Urahara.

Ichigo turned to him. "What job would that be again?" he asked.

Urahara grinned cheerfully. "You'll see."

"When he gets that look on his face, I begin to worry," said Uryu.

"Agreed," the rest said before turning to help the injured Arrancar.

There was a lot more talking in this than I had planned. Oh well! Next chapter Tenebris destroy this Quincy but sadly does not kill him. I have something funny planned.
