Marvolo accepted the parchment from his son and frowned.

We, the undersigned, agree to all clauses set upon creation of this binding document. We acknowledge that breaking any clauses in this contract shall result in extreme penalties, not only from the Goblin Nation but also from Lady Magic.

"Well, this is a new low that I must admit I didn't foresee Dumbledore reaching." He finally spoke after a few minutes perusing the contract. He passed the contract over at Lucius' enquiring look. "But firstly, Harry James Potter doesn't exist, not exactly. So no need to worry, this contract cannot be forced. As soon as the Goblins file it, it will be judged by Lady Magic, she will see that the contract is false and it will disappear. Even if Dumbledore had your blood as a guarantee, it simply wouldn't be accepted, as your birth name is absent from the document. For a marriage contract to be accepted, in your case of being blood adopted by the Potters, your true name needs to be present alongside the name Harry James Potter, and me or your father needs to sign as we are still alive." He took the opportunity to pour everyone a generous amount of firewhiskey as he spoke, sipping his once he'd finished talking.

Cade breathed a sigh of relief, "So even if they had my true name, they'd have to wait until you're both dead to file it, right?" he checked. His father nodded his agreement as he sipped his drink. "Well that's great news, because for starters, I know for a fact Dumbledore would never tell them who I really am, as Molly would refuse to bind her only daughter to me. She would never willingly sign that contract if she knew you were my father, and Ginny would never sign on the principle that I am also a Malfoy."

Marvolo could see the relief coming off the twins in waves, and stood up and walked over to his desk. "I thank you both, gentlemen, for bringing this to our attention. I cannot imagine how it must feel to know how far your mother and sister are willing to go, and through that you still remained loyal to my son. As a token of my thanks, expect a delivery in the next few days."

The Twins stood and bowed towards Marvolo as one, then again to both Cade and Lucius before heading to the door. "We'll owl you later Cade."

The door closed quietly behind them, leaving the other three in silence. After a few moments, Cade finished his drink and turned to face his father. "So what happens when Lady Magic judges that contract and finds it lacking all the correct information?" He blinked and just stared at his father as he laughed.

"Well Lady Magic reacts differently to every contract; some she accepts as is, some she will accept but changes the clauses, but the ones she refuses? Now that's where it can get really interesting. I have witnessed Lady Magic reject only two contracts in my lifetime, and neither of the consequences have been pretty. One family had their entire fortune, properties and artefacts included, be given to the other party. In a matter of seconds, they went from being extremely wealthy to poorer than a Knockturn Alley whore. The other contract the head of the family was trying to force his second son into marriage with his bastard daughter, and the clauses were similar to the clauses in the contract Dumbledore wrote, except that with his son being the Spare instead of the Heir. Lady Magic set fire to him where he stood as soon as it was filed, the Goblin who filed it ended up in pieces, then she disowned the eldest son and passed the Headship onto the second son instead as the eldest had helped his father write the contract. With this contract, there is no guessing how Lady Magic will react."

And here's the reason why I took longer than I wanted for the last chapter, I've been focussing on fine tuning the contract. I just hope it makes sense, because my eyes were starting to scream ahaha.
