Hello everybody, sorry for the wait.
So from now on the layout of my story will be different. I won't go into too much detail describing each of the levels. Sorry for this confusion and the change of style.
Also, thank you to everybody who read and review my story. I hope you are enjoying these chapters.

We go right into the next level. This is a racing level where we race the other bad guys on the rollercoaster. I am with Tails, Diddy is with Dixie, Sonic is with Amy, and Darkwing is with Crystal. We need to jump on the bad guys to get past them. I think I saw something at the back at the start of the race. On the first race, we make it to 4th place. We jump on the target but couldn't get anything because we didn't hit it hard enough.
"I want a retry!" both Darkwing and Crystal shout. They don't like losing that race.
I don't like losing that race. "I want a retry," I say. I was copying Darkwing and Crystal.
Both Diddy and Dixie laugh. They say that the only reason why they want to retry the race was because they enjoyed being together on the ride.
Both Darkwing and Crystal look at Diddy and Dixie with wide eyes and say at the same time, "Ewww, we're not dating! We're cousins!"
Diddy and Dixie look at them carefully. They did not know they were cousins.
"We're long distant cousins," both Darkwing and Crystal say.
We go back to the racing level. I look back and see something. I tell Tails that we need to go back. As soon as the race starts, me and Tails make the ride go backward. We hit something that sends us speeding forward. We accidentally bump our friends over us.
"What was that?!" I hear Darkwing shouts.
Diddy and Dixie have no idea what just happened.
"I think something crashed into us," says Amy.
I can't hear them anymore. We are way ahead of them. We jump and knock out the bad guys as we speed forward. We make it to 1st place. We get a DK coin from the last bad guy. Me and Tails wait at the end of the level. Our friends make it.
Diddy asks us about what just happened. He is confused.
"Julie noticed a spring under the platform at the start of the race. We went backward into it. The spring sent us forward at an incredible speed," says Tails.
"I didn't know this ride can go in reverse," says Darkwing.
Sonic points at us and then points at the end.
"Yes Sonic. We went so fast that we made it to 1st place," says Tails.
"At least you did not knocked us off the tracks. You could have warned us first," says Crystal.
"Sorry about that. We didn't know that would happen," says Tails.
"At least you made it to first place. What did you won?" Darkwing asks.
We show them the DK coin.
"Okay… What does this DK coin do?"
We have no idea. We just collect them. We go over to Cranky's place and have a talk with him. We then go over to Swanky's Bonus Bonanza and play some quizzes with him. After that, we go down to the next level.
The next level is a swamp level. There's a new bad guy which looks like a spinning hedgehog. He doesn't hurt us. He quickly spins us around and sends us flying high in the air. Sonic isn't affected by it and he quickly beats the bad guy. Sonic catches me as I fall down. Tails flies back down with Amy while Diddy and Dixie drop down onto the floor. Crystal wobbly walks back to us while Darkwing comes back all wet. I think Darkwing was thrown into the water. There's the usual bad guys such as little birds, bugs and bees around this level. We carefully jump from platform to platform across the water while avoiding or beating the bad guys. We make it to the end.
We find the big Kremling at the bridge but he won't let us through unless we give him coins. We leave and go to the next level. In the next level we are back inside the beehive. While sticking on the honey wall, Dixie grabs some honey with her finger and eats it.
"Eww, should you be eating that?" says Darkwing.
"This is actually good," says Crystal. She is doing the same thing as Dixie.
I do it too. This is good. It's so sweet! I have a big smile on my face.
Darkwing tries it. "Wow! This is good!" He takes out a glass jar from his cape and puts the honey in it. "LP will love this!" He puts the jar back in his cape.
"LP?"
"Launchpad, he's my sidekick."
I didn't know Darkwing got a sidekick. "I didn't know that," I say.
"You take the most important letters of his name to shorten it. For example, mine is DW."
"DW?"
"Stands for Darkwing. Dark Wing. LP stand for Launchpad. Launch Pad."
"DW, Darkwing. Launch pad, LP."
"You're still learning about reading and writing?"
"I can't read and can't spell."
"Aren't you learning in school?"
"Nope, I never learn it."
"You need better education."
We avoid the bad guys and follow the path. We need to use the honey walls to get to the top. After the checkpoint barrel, we go into a room where we turn into a rhino. We bounce across the bees and carry on following the path. Near the end, I panicked as a big bee chases after us. I did not like that! It's a good thing Sonic was in control of the rhino. We quickly run across, bouncing on the bees and jumping down the hole to the next floor at the bottom. We keep doing this until we make it to the end. We turn back to normal and get bananas. We jump on the target but couldn't get anything as we didn't jump high enough.
I need to rest up after that. I was really scared. We go to the next level where we fight the big bee. In this fight, we need to be birds. The weak point is his sharp pointed thing at his bottom. Darkwing tells me that that is called a stinger. We have problem with this battle. We have to be careful flying around and dodging the big bee. He also attacks by shooting stingers at us. We keep getting hit by that and getting knocked out. We have to start the level again from the start after getting knocked out. After several times fighting the big bee, we get knock out again. We are back outside the level. Darkwing is putting medicines on us. He has lots of lumps on his face. He must have gotten stung a lot. We all did.
"We need to be careful and not fly recklessly," says Darkwing. He puts medicine on him. He says, "Ouch!" when he puts the medicine on.
"It would be easy if it would have not been for the size of the queen bee. She took up most of the space," says Crystal. She also has lumps on her.
Diddy and Dixie agree with Crystal but tell her that the bee is actually a king and not a queen. I wonder if it would be easier if we ride the bird and not transform into one. Maybe we can take more hits if we just ride the bird.
"Here we go again, I will take the lead here," says Darkwing. "Sonic, you be last since you keep flying recklessly around."
Sonic gives Darkwing a look that says, 'not my fault, I'm getting used to it'.
Darkwing notices Sonic looking at him. "Don't give me that look. I'm trying to do what's best for us."
Sonic gives Darkwing another look.
"Sonic, please don't give me the puppy eyes. Look, when we win this fight, I'll treat you to some cotton candy, okay?"
"Darkwing, Sonic was only saying that he isn't used to flying as a bird. He's still getting used to it. You know Sonic, he's always running at high speed," says Tails.
"Yeah, he can't go fast as a bird," says Darkwing. "I misunderstood you again, didn't I?" Darkwing says to Sonic. Sonic nods at him.
"Sonic wasn't giving you the puppy eyes. He was saying that you better be careful and not mess up," says Amy.
"Leave it to me, I got this," says Darkwing.
We go back into the boss fight. Darkwing carefully flies around the big bee and hit him in the weak point. He then get hit by the flying stinger. Crystal takes over. We hit him at the weak point. I think the big bee is flying faster now. We couldn't dodge in time. We get hit and Tails takes over. Diddy or Dixie (I couldn't tell which one it is, I know one of them is gone after we gotten hit) hits the weak point. The big bee blows up into little bees. The main boss is in the middle. We can't hit him because he is red. There are four yellow bees that fly around him. The bees go for us. We get hit. Diddy or Dixie luckily moves out of the way just in time. I take over and keep spitting rocks at them. I am able to get two bees. I quickly fly away from them. Diddy or Dixie helps me to get rid of the last two bees. The red bee turns yellow when we beat those yellow bees. He starts chasing Diddy or Dixie. I keep spitting rocks at him. I keep missing him. I think I was too far away from him. Diddy or Dixie hits him about two times. They fly away as the bee keeps chasing them. I finally hit him. We beat the bee boss. We turn back to normal and get a coin. Oh, it's Diddy, he was the bird. I don't see Dixie so she's the one who got hit.
"Yes, we finally done it," says Darkwing.
"I was a bit worried," says Tails.
"Well done Julie for keeping a distance from the king bee. Though your aiming need improving," says Crystal.
"I keep missing," I say. I could not aim properly and I could not hit him. I tried lots of times and kept missing.
"At least you got him at the end," says Darkwing.
I was lucky to hit him at the end. "Yes!" I shout.
We go to the next place. We are in a dark forest. There's only a bit of light shining in here. There are ghost ropes that appear and disappear. We can use them to climb up high. Darkwing looks a bit scared when we first see the ghost rope. He hopes that he doesn't get cursed for climbing on them. Crystal looks worried now. We have to use the ghost ropes to get to the high place and to get across the big holes. This place looks very scary. It doesn't help that I keep getting scared by the bad guys hiding in the barrels. My friends knock the bad guys out. Every time I see a barrel, I think there's a bad guy in it. It's a good thing we got Dixie back because we get really hurt by the red bad guy hiding in the TNT barrel. He explodes when he crashes into us. That really scared me. Diddy runs away. I get back up and quickly pick up the rings that Sonic, Tails and Amy drop before they disappear.
"Oh my, look at the state of me," says Crystal.
"You'll get used to it," says Darkwing.
They look really burnt. They quickly clean themselves off. I give the rings back to Sonic, Tails and Amy. Getting the bonus barrel is very hard. The ghost ropes appear and disappear too quickly. Tails helps us to get in the bonus barrel. The bonus game is easy. We just need to jump across using the ghost ropes. The good thing is that the ghost ropes do not disappear too quickly. We make it across the very big hole and onto the other side. We get the coin and go back to the level. We avoid the bee and jump across using the ghost ropes. We get Diddy back from the DK barrel.
"Uh oh, troubles," Darkwing says and points at the TNT barrels.
We carefully walk toward them. The red bad guys come out and run right at us. We jump on them and beat them. They go back inside the barrels.
"I'm glad they don't blow up when we jumped on them," says Darkwing.
We throw them away. We carry on through this level, avoiding the bad guys and using the ghost ropes to reach the end. We say hello to Cranky at his place before we go to the next level.
We jump across the hooks in the air and land on the ride. Is this a rollercoaster? We can have more fun! We ride forward and go through the wooden doors. I look at Darkwing. He looks behind. He looks really scared. I wonder what's wrong.
"D-d-don't look b-b-behind guy," Darkwing says in a scared voice.
We look behind. We are all scared. It's a scary bone crocodile ghost bad guy. He's following us!
"What does he want?!" Tails asks.
"I don't think he wants to join us on this pleasant ride," says Darkwing.
Diddy and Dixie say that the bad guy wants us to join him instead.
"We don't need to know that!" Darkwing shouts.
Diddy and Dixie say that we are not planning to join him. We are going to escape him. We hit the green '+' barrels. We also hit a red '-' barrel. Diddy and Dixie tell us to avoid the red barrels. We jump over the next red barrel. We go through the wooden doors.
"We lost him," Crystal says.
We look behind and see that he is gone. We are glad that he is gone. We keep going and go through the next wooden doors. We see the ghost again.
"Oh no," says Crystal.
"Looks like you spoken too soon," says Darkwing.
"Let's quickly get to the end," says Amy.
We keep going. We miss the first green barrel. We jump up to get the green barrels in the air. We keep going forward. The ghost laughs as he hits us. Dixie falls off.
"Really don't like that sinister laugh of his," says Darkwing.
"The green barrels, they keep that ghost away from us," says Amy.
"Then we need to collect all of them if we want to survive this haunted house," says Darkwing.
We go forward and hit all the green barrels while jumping over holes in the track. We make it through the next wooden doors. We hit the checkpoint barrel and get Dixie back. We go through another wooden doors. We get chase again. this time, we need to jump over all the red barrels. We didn't do well with this. We hit a few red barrels. The ghost laughs as he hits us again. Diddy falls down. We keep going and go through the wooden doors. We go up the hill and down the other side. We jump over the bee and then go through the wooden doors. This time we need to hit the green barrels while avoiding the red barrels. It's very hard as the red barrels are near the green barrels. We carefully get the green barrels while avoiding the red ones. We try our best but we keep hitting the red barrels by accident. The ghost knocks us out. We have to do that again.
We go back in the level and start from the checkpoint barrel. This time we know what to do. We get Diddy back. This time we carefully timed our jumps and avoid all the red barrels. We make it through. Next we try our best to avoid the red barrels while getting the green barrels. We still accidentally hit the red barrels. We get hit again by the ghost. Dixie falls down. We keep going. We nearly get hit again by the ghost. We make it just in time. We go through the wooden doors and to the end. We jump onto the target and get a 1up. It's a good thing as we lost one in this level. We are very glad that we finished this level. That was scary.
In the next level, we are back in the dark forest. We go right and beat the big mouth bad guys. We jump up to get Dixie from the DK barrel. We get blown away. It feels like we were flying. I crash into the small wall on the right. We jump up the steps. The wind is now blowing us in the wrong direction. I try to get up but the wind blows me back down the steps. Diddy helps me by grabbing my hand with his tail. I hold onto Diddy as we jump back up the steps. Sonic and Darkwing beat the bad guys that come down on us. We jump across the hole. The wind helps us by blowing us across. We try to get past the porcupines and the sword Kremling bad guy, but we get hit trying to beat the porcupines on the small hill. Diddy runs away. We quickly beat the porcupines and use the chest to beat the sword Kremling. We get a golden 'K' from the chest. We jump on the mice on the small floors and find a DK barrel. We get Diddy back. We jump on the bad guys on the small floors. We jump across the big hole using the wind that blows us over to the other side. We go right but get blown backward by the wind. We carefully jump down the steps while avoiding the bad guys. We are going really slow because of the wind blowing us back. We jump on the hook and jump up to the top right floor. We beat the bad guy that comes at us. There's a bonus barrel high up in the air. Tails helps us to get in. This bonus game is too easy. The wind blows us across to the other side where we get the coin.
We are back in the level. I did not see our animal friend in this level. There's a no animal sign here. We hit the checkpoint barrel and drop into the barrel below. The barrel shoots us to the floor on the right. We avoid the cannonballs as they fire toward us. Tails is having hard time flying because of the wind. Sonic quickly runs in and beats the big bad guy that was shooting the cannonballs. We jump on the hook and get blown over onto the floor on the right by the wind. We use the two chests to beat the two sword Kremlings. We get a golden 'N' and a cannonball. We jump over the big hole and hit one of the bees with the cannonball. We drop the cannonball. We find the cannon on the right. We can't use it as we lost the cannonball.
In the next part, we need to timed our jumps so that the wind will blow us to the next hook. The wind will change direction after a certain time. After getting across the hooks, we need to do it again but this time we are in barrels. We need to time it right so that we will shoot over to the next barrel. We drop down and land on the big bad guy on the floor below us. We beat him. We jump across the hole. The wind helps us get across the big hole. There's a DK coin high in the air. Tails can't get it as the wind keeps blowing him away. I don't know how to get that golden 'G' down there. We will fall down the hole if we're not careful. I see that Tails has been blown away by the wind. I don't know where Tails is now. We jump in the barrel and shoot from barrel to barrel. We nearly miss because the wind keeps blowing us too far to the right. Darkwing makes sure that I don't fall down into the hole. We make it to the end. We find Tails at the end. We try to jump onto the target but the wind blows us over it. We move back to the target and jump on it. We don't get anything as we weren't high enough. Sonic checks on Tails.
"I'm okay, the wind just blew me right to the exit," says Tails.
"That was some strong winds," says Amy.
We go to the Kong Kollege and save our game. In the next level, we are back in the beehive. We jump straight down the hole on the right, collecting bananas in the air. We land on the floor at the bottom. There're purple birds on the right. We grab onto them. We slowly fly downward. There are bees in the way.
"Fly up, fly up! Why won't they fly up?!" Darkwing shouts. The birds aren't flying up.
"I think this bird can only go down," I say.
"That doesn't make sense. The other birds can fly."
"I think it's only the purple bird that can't fly."
We fly left and right to avoid the bee. The birds drop us onto the floor below us. We fall onto the honey. We jump out of it and follow the path to the left. We beat the bad guys and go onto more purple birds. We carefully fly down while avoiding the bees. The birds nearly drop us near the bees. We follow the path to the right, down and then to the left. We carefully jump in between the bees and onto the purple birds. We go down while avoiding the bees.
"It looks like he can't shoot eggs at them," says Darkwing.
"Eggs?" I ask.
"They shoot eggs out of their mouth. You saw it."
"Oh, I thought they were rocks."
"I don't think it's healthy for them to eat rocks that big," says Darkwing.
We keep going down where we get drop off into honey. There're porcupines here as well. We jump over them and go down the hole on the left. The purple birds catch us and we go down while avoiding the bees. Throughout this level we use the purple birds to get to the very bottom of the level while avoiding the bees. Darkwing complains about how the purple birds didn't help us to jump onto the target at the end. They just drop us onto the honey on the floor. We couldn't get anything from the target.
I couldn't see well in the next level. It's all foggy in this dark forest. We go right, beating the bad guys. We make it to a hole in the wall. We go in. We go in the barrel and turn into a spider. I am not happy. I am freaking out as I look at my gross hairy insect legs. I like the shoes though. Knowing that I turn into a spider, my whole body is shaken. It's a feeling of fear whenever I accidentally touched bugs. I really don't like this. Crystal tells me that I should not think about it. If I don't think about it then I'll be okay. We end up talking about how I met Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong, and how we beat the Kremlings and King K. Rool. I notice that we use the spiderwebs to get across the big holes. We can just keep making spiderweb platforms in front of us and in a straight line. I keep talking about my adventure with Donkey Kong and Diddy to keep my mind off this. I really don't like being a spider. We eventually make it to the no animal sign. We turn back to normal. I really don't like that. I'm glad my friends took over. I wouldn't be able to control the spider properly. We jump in the barrel and onto the target. We get a banana coin and go to the next level. We fight a big bird boss.
"This whole place is haunted!" Darkwing shouts.
Amy is shocked. "That crow… Isn't that the same crow we fought?" Amy asks. "Oh dear, I thought he was knocked out."
"Now he's coming back to haunt us!" Darkwing shouts.
"What? No, he's only looking like that because of the rain. It makes him look all blue," I say.
"Oh Julie, sweet innocent Julie, you have no idea what's going on," says Darkwing.
"Everyone, watch out!" Tails shouts.
We jump over the little birds that fly right at us. Huh? The last bird is very colourful. Diddy jumps on it which makes a barrel appears. He quickly grabs it. The big bird comes down and flies right at us. Diddy hits him with the barrel. It's just like the first boss. He flies up after getting hit. Hooks come down on top of us. Diddy and Dixie tell us that we need to go after him. We go up the hooks and then climb the ropes upward. We move to the side to avoid the falling eggs. We get in the barrel and shoot upward to the next floor at the top. We avoid the little birds and wait for the colourful one to appear. The colourful one shows up and flies right at us. We hit him and get a barrel. Another small bird flies at us. We jump over him. The big bird flies down and right at us. Diddy hits him with the barrel. The big bird does not like that. He flies up again. We go up using the hooks and the ropes. Eggs come down from the top.
"Watch out! Eggs coming in from the side!" Darkwing shouts.
We quickly go up to avoid the egg that flies to the side. We keep going up while avoiding the eggs. We make it to the barrel and shoot up to the top floor. It's the same attack again. We dodge them while waiting for the colourful one. We hit the colourful bird and get a barrel. Two more birds show up and fly right at us. We dodge the first one but Diddy accidentally beats the second one with the barrel. The big bird comes down. Sonic and Tails try to spin jump on him while Darkwing and Crystal try to punch and kick him. They do not work. The big bird does not get hurt by them and just flies into us. We get hurt instead. Diddy runs away.
"That did not go well," says Crystal.
"We can only hurt him with those barrels," says Tails.
"Maybe because the barrel is fill with stuff that is effective against ghost," says Darkwing.
We dodge the little birds while waiting for the colourful one. We find him and beat him. Dixie gets the barrel. Two more birds come in. Sonic and Tails beat them with their spin jump. The big bird flies right at us. Dixie throws the barrel at him. He blows up. We get a coin. We go up to the next place.
We are in an ice place in the first level. Oh no, we have to swim through here. We swim through the cold water until we go inside a barrel. We turn into a swordfish. Now we don't need to worry about the cold water. We can easily swim through here while beating the bad guys with our sword nose. We just need to be careful of the exploding pufferfishes. Sometimes, the water will go down while we're still swimming. It goes down so fast that we get stuck on top of the ice floor. We slide across the floor by attacking forward toward the water. We drop off the floor and into the water below. We follow the path while beating the bad guys. We make it to the no animal sign and turn back to normal. This isn't good, we are still underwater. The water slowly goes down and we fall onto the target. We don't get anything as we didn't hit the target hard enough. We go right and meet up with Cranky. We have a talk with him. After that, we go left and then up to the next level.
We are back inside the mine. We go right, beating the bad guys and jumping over the holes. We make it to the other side but there's no way forward. We jump up to get the bananas in the air. The wind blows us upward. Whoa?! I feel like I am slowly flying. The wind is very strong. We use the wind to go up. There are bees in the air. We move to the side to avoid them. I try to move but I am having problem. I can only go up. Tails helps me move to the side. On different floors above us are different type of bad guys that are trying to stop us. We beat some of them and avoid the others when we can't beat them. The wind will sometimes stop blowing for a few seconds before blowing again. This makes avoiding the bees a bit difficult. We have to wait for the wind to stop blowing so that we can drop down under the bees. We then need to quickly go forward before the wind starts blowing again. We don't want to get blown into the bees. It was very close. Once we go up, we can't go back down. The wind keeps blowing us upward. As well as avoiding the bees, we also need to avoid the hooks from the coat Kremlings. We make it to the end at the very top of the level. There's a no animal sign up here. I didn't see any animal friend in this level.
We save at Wrinkly's Kollege. We rest up for a bit. I noticed that in some levels, Diddy and Dixie swapped place whenever they need each other's ability. Dixie is really good because she can fly across the air with her hair. Unlike Donkey and Diddy, instead of giving each other high five, they pushed each other to the back. Diddy pulled Dixie's hair to get her over to the back while Dixie kicked Diddy over to the back. It looked like they were just playing about. I found it funny. Even Diddy and Dixie told us that they were only messing about. They are really good friends (I think they are really good boyfriend and girlfriend).
After we finish resting up, we go up to the next level. The floor is moving upward. Bad guys are coming in from the holes at the sides. We beat them as they come in. We need to quickly move over to the hole at the top to avoid getting crush.
"Did you guys hear that?" Tails asks.
I feel someone pushing me. A hook comes flying out of nowhere. Sonic picks me back up. He was the one who pushed me out of the way to save me from that hook. We jump over the hook as it comes back. As the floor goes up, we see that it was the coat Kremling that threw that hook. He was hiding behind that wall on the right. We quickly beat him. We beat more bad guys that come at us. We find a no animal sign. Again, I didn't see any animal friend. We get a checkpoint barrel and carry on going up. We dodge the hooks that fly at us. I hear the bad guys shouting. Did they got hurt?
"Sounds like they torturing someone in this dungeon," says Darkwing. "Let's get out of here before we're next on their torture list."
Dungeon? I look around. We are inside a stoned building. I think we are inside a castle. It gets really difficult as we go up. At times, we don't have enough room to dodge the bad guys. And then the hard to beat big bad guy comes in. We couldn't beat him properly. We end up getting hurt. We avoid him until he gets crush. We were lucky that happened. We dodge more attacks from the coat Kremlings and avoid more bees. We make it to the top and to the end. We go up to the next level.
We are back in the ice place. There's a mean looking fish in the cold water here. I don't think we should go in. We find our seal friend in here.
"What's he doing here? The water isn't hot," says Darkwing.
I jump on the seal. The seal turns the cold water into ice.
"We can go across now," I say and point to the ice.
We go across the ice. The mean looking fish chases after us. He is trying to get us through the ice. We make it to the other side. The ice melts just as we get on the floor.
"That was close. We were nearly fish food," says Darkwing. He points at the water.
We go up. The water also goes up. We use the seal to turn the water into ice. We go across and go up again just as the ice melts. The water fills the whole room. We find our swordfish friend. We follow as our swordfish beats the bad guy. We follow the path and get bananas from the no animal sign. We get out of the water and go left. We jump on the seal and go left. We jump over the water just as it melted. We go up. We avoid the bee that circles around the seal. We jump on the seal and go right where we beat the bad guys and slide under the bees. We keep the water frozen using the seal. We go across to the end.
We go up to the next level. We are back inside the castle. We climb the ropes across while avoiding the orange Kremlings. We keep climbing upward, avoiding the bad guys. We take one of the paths where we use the barrels to get up. We carefully avoid the bees as we keep climbing upward. Later, we have to quickly outrace the bees that fly closely behind us. We are nearly to the top. I get scared again by the bad guys hiding in the barrels. The worst one is the last one. He can take our 1up just by bumping into us. Tails quickly gets the 1up back for us. We make it to the end.
Funky is on our right if we need to go somewhere else. We go up to the quiz show where we play a bit. Again, we never check the name of the levels and we have to sometime guess the answer. After that, we go up to the next level.
We are back inside the castle. It looks a bit green in here. We go up the steps, beating the bad guys that come at us. We go in the barrel and turn into a snake. We jump across the platforms, making our way up toward the top. We bounce on any bad guys that attack us. I notice something below.
"Why's the water green?" I ask.
"Julie, I don't think that's water," says Darkwing.
"It might be acid. We must keep going. We don't want to fall in there," says Tails.
We keep going up. It isn't hard to get to the top with the snake. He can jump really high. He also can jump on bees without getting hurt. We use the bee to bounce across to the other side. We have a bit of trouble getting to the top at this part. The floor at the top is too high for us to jump. How are we supposed to get up there? Uh oh? The acid is coming. We try several times but we can't make the jump. We fall into the acid. Ouch! It hurt! We start the level again. How are we supposed to do that part? We do the beginning of the level and make it to the same part again.
"Guys, let me try," I say.
I take over. Maybe if I jump after I bounce a bit higher. I notice that the snake bounce while standing still. At the top of the bounce I jump up to get a bit higher than usual. I make it. It was too close. I keep going as the acid keeps going up. We make it inside the next barrel. We are birds now. We fly up, beating the bad guys by shooting eggs at them. We follow the path and make it to the next barrel. I am not happy. Darkwing takes over. We are now spider and we need to use his spiderwebs to go upward. We get hurt by the acid as soon as we get to the top. We quickly go in the barrel and shoot up to the top. The acid have now stop. We are back to normal. Looks like we lost Dixie. We go right and jump on the target.
We go up to the next level. We go inside the castle. It's Donkey Kong! He's tied up in a rope. He is moving about, trying to get out. We get a coin. Me and Diddy are very happy.
"That's your friend? I thought he's a monkey like Diddy here. He looks more like an ape," says Darkwing.
"Now that we save your friend, we can go home," says Tails.
Diddy does his boombox dance. I am very happy. Just then, Donkey Kong disappears. Diddy looks very shocked. I am not happy.
"What happened?!" I shout.
"Up there," says Amy.
I look up. There's a hole up there. They must have pull Donkey Kong up there.
"We should have free him first before we celebrate," says Darkwing.
"Over there, we can go after them," says Crystal. She points to the exit on the right.
We quickly run right and get out of this level. A flying ship comes in. I see King K. Rool climbing up the ladder and into his flying ship. We go after him. Before we can go into the flying ship, we need to get through this level first. We go in.
We are in the spiky plants stage. We get Dixie back from the DK barrel. We go forward where we run into the hedgehog bad guy. He spins us around and throws us into the spiky plant. Diddy runs away. We jump over the hedgehog bad guy and go right. The flying coat bad guy throws TNT barrel at us. We just throw it away. We jump over the spiky plant and climb onto the ropes on the right. We avoid the bad guys on the rope. We jump right and use the chest to beat the bee above us. We avoid more bees as we climb across the rope. We avoid another hedgehog bad guy and climb up the rope. We quickly climb up to avoid the little birds. We follow the path to the left where we carefully jump over the spiky plants. We hit the checkpoint barrel and go inside the bird barrel. We turn into a bird. We get Diddy back from the DK barrel. We go left where a bird at the top is waiting. A traffic light shows up. It lights up and then turn green. The bird flies forward. We follow the bird. There are bees in the way. We need to beat them to go forward. The bird just flies past them. Wait, is this a race? Do we need to beat that bird? The bird goes ahead of us. We follow the path, beating the bees that are in our way. We slowly and carefully fly in the small space in between the spiky plants. We make it to the end where the other bird finishes before us. We fall down and lose a life. What?! How did that happened?! We were perfectly fine! I don't understand! We are outside the level. Diddy and Dixie say that we need to beat the other bird in the race.
"I did not realised we were racing him," says Crystal.
"I tried to go as fast as I can but you saw that. It's a very narrowed space in between those brambles. It's impossible to fly fast through that without touching it," says Darkwing.
"That bird is cheating! It's no fair! He went through the bad guys and we had to beat them," I say.
"He went through the bad guys? I think you mean he went past them. But you're right, that's cheating. We had to beat those bees so why doesn't he do it?" says Darkwing.
"I think it's because he's working for the bad guys. That would explained why we just lost a life," says Amy.
I really don't like that. First we got into a race that we didn't know about and then we lost a life because we lost the race. It's just a race, why did we lost a life when we lost the race? Can't we just start again from the start of the race instead of losing a life? I really don't like racing under pressure, I always get scared and panicked a lot.
"So we need to beat him in order to complete that level. Me and Sonic can do it. We're an expert when it comes to speed," says Tails.
Sonic nods. Okay, we'll leave it to Sonic and Tails. We go back into the level. We turn into a bird and go left to start the race. Sonic takes over and we start the race. We quickly follow the path. Darkwing warns Sonic about the bees that are in our way. We shoot them down. We are doing really well. We are ahead of the bad bird. Sonic accidentally crashes into the spiky plant. There's less space to move in between the spiky plants. Tails takes over. We fly as quickly as we can while avoiding the bees. We make it to the end. We turn back to normal and fall down onto the target. We get bananas from it.
We go right and go into Kong Kollege. We save our game. Darkwing looks outside. He asks if it's safe to have the college way up here. Wrinkly tells us not to worry and that this place is safe. She tells us that the Kollege is on sturdy ground so it won't fall. She also says that this is an easy location for King K. Rool to attend her Kollege. We go back outside. On our left is Funky Kong. He'll help us to go to different places if we want to go out. We go up to the next level.
We are inside the flying ship. We go right where we find Donkey Kong and King K. Rool. We look very shocked and scared when we see King K. Rool. He looks different now. He's not wearing that red cape and crown. He's wearing a pirate hat and a red coat. He is hitting Donkey Kong with his gun and shooting him. Hey! That's not nice! I'm not happy about that. Donkey Kong goes up and King K. Rool shoots a cannonball. The cannonball just drops right in front of us.
"So you're Kaptain K. Rool, there's something I need to say to you," says Darkwing. "Have you done your homework?" My friends just look at Darkwing. "What?! Wrinkly Kong asks us to remind him, remember?"
Oh yeah, she did. I don't think King K. Rool done his homework. Diddy grabs the cannonball. King K. Rool slides toward us and crashes into us. Diddy runs away.
"I take that as a no," says Darkwing. He gets back up.
King K. Rool sucks us in using his gun. We all get suck in. Dixie's eyes pop out in shocked as King K. Rool hits us with the back of his gun. Dixie cries. We get thrown out of the boss level.
"Why I oughta, I'm going to tell Wrinkly Kong on you!" Darkwing shouts.
"I don't think Kaptain K. Rool cares about his grades," says Amy.
Dixie points at the boss level. She says that we need to save Donkey Kong.
"Right, at first you don't succeed, try again," says Darkwing.
We jump back in. As soon as we go in, we get Diddy back. We go against King K. Rool again. He shoots out a cannonball onto the floor. Dixie grabs it. We jump over King K. Rool when he slides toward us. He tries to suck us in with his gun. We try to run away but we're getting suck in toward the gun. Dixie throws the cannonball at King K. Rool. The cannonball goes inside the gun. King K. Rool looks really surprised when we did that. He keeps looking around with that surprised look on his face. I find that funny. He then blows up. Someone grabs me and jumps up. I look and see that it's Sonic. I hear Dixie shouts and runs away. I also see Darkwing and Crystal knocked out on the floor.
"What happened?" I ask. I have no idea what's going on.
"Kaptain K. Rool's gun malfunctioned when Dixie threw that cannonball in. It built up too much pressure that the gun ended up exploding. The cannonball also shot out due to the pressure," says Tails.
I look at King K. Rool. I see his eyes through the dirt that covers him. He looks really burnt. I laugh at him. He looks really funny as he blinks his eyes in confusion. He shakes the dirt off him. He shoots out another cannonball. Sonic runs over to pick it up. The cannonball turns into spikes. Sonic gets hurt and loses his ring. Diddy and Tails pick up the rings for him. We jump over King K. Rool as he slides toward us. He slides again and hits us. Diddy is rubbing his face. We get kick out of the boss level again.
"I didn't expect him to move again," says Tails.
Sonic points at his hands.
"You're right. How are we suppose to beat him without the cannonball?" Tails says.
"Did he not shoot one out?" Crystal asks.
"You didn't see it? Oh, you and Darkwing were knocked out. He did shot one out but it became a metal spiked ball," says Amy.
"Then we must find another cannonball."
"He might shoot one out after we dodge him," says Tails.
"Right, coming back for round three. I'll keep a watch out for any cannonballs," says Darkwing. He then whispers, "Especially when his gun start to malfunction."
We go back into the boss level. We grab the cannonball that King K. Rool shoots out and jump over him as he slides toward us. We throw the cannonball into his gun. I laugh as King K. Rool has a confused look on his face. Sonic grabs me and we all jump over the cannonball as it shoots out when the gun blows up. Oh, so that's what happened. The gun still shoot the cannonball even when it blew up. I look at King K. Rool and laugh at him. He looks so funny all burnt and confused. He shakes the dirt off him. He shoots out a cannonball onto the floor. Darkwing goes for it only for Tails to stop him. The cannonball turns into a spiked ball.
"Yikes! You weren't kidding," says Darkwing.
We jump over King K. Rool as he slides toward us.
"Watch out, he coming back!" Tails shouts.
We jump over him as he slides back toward us. The spiked ball turns back into a normal cannonball.
"Guys look!" I shout and point at the cannonball.
Diddy grabs the cannonball and throws it at King K. Rool. It goes into the gun as the gun tries to suck us in.
"Here we go again, get ready to dodge," says Darkwing.
We jump over the cannonball as it shoots out. I laugh again at King K. Rool. He is all burnt again. He shakes it off and shoots out two cannonballs. They both turn into spiked balls. We jump over King K. Rool as he slides at us. We also watch where we're landing as we don't want to crash into the spiked balls. King K. Rool slides back toward us again. We jump over him and the spiked ball. I look at King K. Rool.
"Watch out, he's coming at us again," I say.
We get ourselves ready. King K. Rool slides at us again. We jump over him.
"Thanks for the warning Julie. How did you know?" Darkwing asks me.
"Well, first he moved one time, then he moved two times, this time he moved three times," I say.
"Basically you just counted."
One of the cannonballs turn back to normal. Diddy grabs it and throws it at King K. Rool. The other spiked ball breaks when Diddy throws the cannonball in the gun. We dodge the cannonball as it shoots out. King K. Rool is burnt from the explosion again. He shakes it off again. He shouts as he falls to the floor. We did it! Donkey Kong comes down from the top. He is still tied up. We're about to help him until Donkey Kong's eyes pop out in shocked. We look and see that King K. Rool is back up.
Darkwing's mouth drop to the floor. "I thought we beaten you," Darkwing shouts.
Donkey Kong gets pulled back up. King K. Rool shoots out lots of spiked balls at us. We jump over them and duck under the high ones.
"Uh oh, he mean business," says Darkwing. He ducks down to avoid a flying spiked ball.
Eventually, a barrel gets shot out of the gun. Diddy jumps on the barrel. A normal cannonball comes out of it. We grab it and throw it at King K. Rool. We jump over the cannonball that shoots out from the gun. King K. Rool blows up again. He shakes off the dirt and slides toward us. We jump over him. He shoots out more spiked balls. This time the spiked balls bounce instead of flying across. We jump over the bouncing spiked balls. Some of the spiked balls bounce low while some bounce a bit higher. Then there are some that bounce way too high. We can't jump over those ones. We have to run under them as they bounce up. We keep jumping and going under the bouncing spiked balls. At the end, a barrel comes bouncing toward us. It bounces just like those bouncing spiked balls. Sonic spin jumps the barrel. A cannonball comes out. We grab it and throw it at King K. Rool. It goes into the gun. We jump out of the way as the cannonball shoots out. We blow up King K. Rool again. He shakes off the dirt and slides toward us. We jump over him. King K. Rool shoots spiked balls again. This time they move in a really weird way. It's like they are floating in air. The spiked balls fly slowly around in circle. They keep swirling around as they slowly fly across. We jump over them when they fly low.
"How is that even possible? How do they move like that?" Tails asks.
"It could be magic," says Darkwing. He looks at King K. Rool. "Though, I doubt that. I don't think he's that type of guy to use magic."
Some of the spiked balls swirl in a big circle, some swirl around in small circles. King K. Rool starts shooting out two spiked balls at the same time. We have to jump over two of them as they swirl around. We make sure to have enough room to jump over both of them. A barrel comes out at the end. It also swirls around like the spiked balls. We jump on it to get a cannonball and throw it at King K. Rool. It gets into the gun. We jump over the cannonball as it shoots out. King K. Rool falls to the floor again. We did it! Donkey Kong comes down again. Just as we're about to untie him, Donkey Kong's eyes pop out in shocked. Oh no… We look and see that King K. Rool is back up again.
"Don't you know when to quit?" says Darkwing.
Donkey Kong gets pulled back up again. We jump over King K. Rool as he slides across. He shoots out weird looking things. Diddy, Darkwing and Crystal get hit by them. They stop in place. Sonic runs over to them and waves his hand in front of them.
"We cannot move," Crystal says.
"We're frozen," says Darkwing.
King K. Rool slowly slides toward us. Tails quickly flies me over King K. Rool. He then quickly flies back over to Diddy, Darkwing and Crystal. He grabs Darkwing and Crystal and flies them up. Sonic grabs Diddy and jump over King K. Rool. Tails falls down onto the floor with Darkwing and Crystal. Diddy, Darkwing and Crystal are back to normal.
"How rude! Now you are going to get it!" Crystal shouts.
Diddy is also not happy. King K. Rool turns around and slides back toward us. We jump over him. Is it me or does King K. Rool looks…a bit invisible? Must be my eyes. Diddy and Crystal get ready to fight him. King K. Rool disappears.
"What?! Where did he go?" says Crystal.
Crystal and Diddy look around for him. I can hear him moving. All of a sudden, Diddy and Crystal get hit. Diddy runs away.
"He's invisible!" I shout.
We jump over him…I think. Dixie quickly gets Diddy out of the DK barrel. A cannonball appears in the middle. We grab it and throw it into the gun. We jump out of the way as the gun shoots out the cannonball when it blows up. King K. Rool slides toward us. We jump over him. He shoots out more weird things. These are red. They quickly bounce across the floor. Dixie, Sonic and Amy get hit. King K. Rool then shoots out spiked balls that fly across the air. We jump out of the way. Dixie, Sonic and Amy try to jump but they do it very slowly. They couldn't get out in time. They all get hit. Dixie runs away.
"What is wrong with you? This is not like you at all, you are usually faster than that," says Darkwing.
"Is that gas, it made us so slow," says Amy.
A cannonball appears in the middle. Diddy grabs it and throws into the gun. King K. Rool blow up. We jump over the cannonball. King K. Rool slides toward us. We jump over him. He shoots out weird purple things at us. They swirl around. Diddy, Tails and Darkwing get hit. Tails is flying into walls.
"Hey, where am I going?! No, not that way, this way!" Darkwing shouts. "No, the other way, the other way!" He runs and crashes into King K. Rool. He gets knocked out.
King K. Rool uses his gun to suck us in. Diddy just runs toward him. Diddy's eyes pop out in shocked as King K. Rool hits him with the back of his gun. We get kick out of the level.
"Ouch, what happened?" Tails asks.
"You keep hitting the sides," I say.
"I couldn't control myself properly. I wanted to go right but I ended up going left."
"Yeah, that's what happened to me," says Darkwing. "I wanted to get away from Kaptain K. Rool but I ran toward him instead. I was moving in the opposite direction."
Diddy also agrees with them. He says that the weird purple things have reversed their control. If they try to move left, they go right. If they want to go right, they'll go left instead.
"We must avoid those weird gases," says Crystal.
We go back in again. We start the fight again. We dodge his attacks and throw the cannonballs into his gun whenever he tries to suck us in. We also try to free Donkey Kong whenever he comes down. We couldn't free him in time as the rope is tied too tightly. We make it to the part with the weird gases. We do our very best to dodge them. Dixie can easily dodge them by flying over them with her ponytail. We make it to the part we lost at. We are waiting for the cannonball to appear. King K. Rool sucks us in with his gun. We run away from him. After a while, he stops and disappears. Where did he go? He then appears near us and uses his gun. He suck in Dixie. He knocks her out with the back of the gun. Dixie runs away.
"No!" I shout.
"Where's the cannonball when you need it?" says Darkwing.
"Just keep running from him!" Amy says.
King K. Rool keeps disappearing and reappearing. He tries to suck us in with his gun. Eventually, a cannonball appears. We quickly grab it and throw it into the gun. The gun blows up. We get hit by the cannonball that gets shot out. That was going too fast! I don't remember the cannonball going that fast. We get kick out of the level again.
"That's it! This time we're going to beat him!" Darkwing shouts.
"It should be easy now that we know what we are doing," says Amy.
Amy is right, we now know how to avoid all his attacks. Diddy points to the level. He's saying let's go and rescue Donkey Kong.
"Great! Then let's get dangerous!" says Darkwing.
We go back into the boss level. We do thing perfectly. We dodge his attacks and throw the cannonballs into the gun as usual. We make it to the part where we lost. We keep running around, running away from King K. Rool as he sucks us in with his gun. When he couldn't get us, he disappears and reappears near us. We keep running away from him until the cannonball appears. Dixie grabs it and runs toward King K. Rool. She is about to throw the cannonball into the gun only for her to get caught by him. King K. Rool just knocks her out with the back of his gun. Dixie runs away.
"What?!" I shout. I don't know what happened.
"We better not get close to him when we throw the cannonball," says Darkwing.
"If we are within his range then he will attack us," says Tails.
Oh no, we have to do this part again. We keep running away as King K. Rool tries to suck us in with his gun. We wait for the cannonball to appear again. We finally get it.
"Don't get too close to him," I say to Diddy.
Diddy throws the cannonball into the gun. Oh no, we don't have much room to run about. King K. Rool has blocked us in against the wall. We wait for the gun to blow up.
"Now!"
We jump up and avoid the cannonball. King K. Rool falls to the floor again. We get a coin for it. We did it! Donkey Kong also comes down. We are very happy as we finally beat King K. Rool. Diddy does his boombox dance. We dance with him. We stop as King K. Rool gets back up again. He is ready to shoot us with his gun. We all look very shocked. I thought we won!
"You got to be kidding me! How many times do we have to do this?!" shouts Darkwing.
"Oh no, watch out!" Tails shouts.
Just then, Donkey Kong gets out of the rope. He lands in front of King K. Rool. King K. Rool looks very confused. Donkey Kong punches him way up through the roof. We watch as King K. Rool falls down, shouting as he hits the side of the island several times. He then falls into the water where he is getting eaten by…I think they are crocodiles? I can't see from up here. I try to take a closer look but someone is covering my eyes.
"Don't look Julie, that is very gruesome," says Darkwing.
I think Darkwing is covering my eyes. Donkey Kong thanks us for saving him. I am so happy that he's okay. We follow Diddy and Dixie back to Cranky's place. Cranky is so happy that we beaten King K. Rool. He says that Diddy learnt everything from him. Then he says that if he was playing, he would have made sure that K. Rool will never do a cheap trick again. He also says that he could have done it on his own. He then tells us that we didn't found all the Kremkoins and didn't completed the Lost World.
"I don't think you ever told us about that," says Darkwing.
We find out that the DK coins are special video game hero coins that are hiding in nearly all the levels. We only found a few. Cranky takes us to another place. There are colourful stands here. On the 3rd stand is a guy wearing green clothes. Have I seen him before? On the 2nd stand is our friend Yoshi. And on the 1st stand is Mario.
"Hey!" I shout.
We all say hello to Mario. Sonic waves to him.
"It's a great to see you all," says Mario.
"Hey Yoshi, you're doing okay?" says Darkwing.
Yoshi looks confused. He doesn't know him.
"What?! We helped you deliver a baby to the stork. Don't you remember that?"
Yoshi tells him that he is talking about a different Yoshi. The one in the past. He heard all about that adventure.
"Wait… You're a different Yoshi? Not the same as the one we knew? Oh yeah... The time travelling thing…"
I tell Mario about my team of heroes and what we are doing. Mario says to me that it's a great idea and says that he is willing to help us out if we are in any trouble. Cranky wants to know how many DK coins we collected. He tells us that we got a lot to do as we are not good enough to be on the Cranky's Video Game Heroes.
"Oh, so that's what those DK coins are for," says Darkwing.
I look at the stand. The guy on the right has 19 DK coins, Yoshi has 29 DK coins and Mario has 39 DK coins. We need to get more DK coins if we want to be on there. It time for us to go. We go off.
"That Cranky, no wonder his name is Cranky," says Darkwing.
"I know, he was being rude when he told us to buzz off," says Crystal. "Then he insulted us by doubting us."
"Why don't we collect all the DK coins? That will show him," says Amy.
"An excellent idea Amy. We should go now and find them all," says Crystal.
Mario comes over to us. "Julie, please be careful," he says to me.
"I will."
Mario says to my friends, "Please look after Julie and keep her safe."
"I'm Darkwing Duck, of course I will keep her safe."
Sonic gives Mario a thumb up. Mario gives us a thumb up before he goes back. We go back to each of the level, looking everywhere for the DK coins. They are in some good hiding spots. The worst one is at one of the castle level near the end. We search everywhere but couldn't find it. We search the level several times and we still can't find it. We go back in and search everywhere again. While trying to dodge the falling cannonballs, I fall into a secret path. I follow the path and find the DK coin. How did it got here? I didn't know it was here. I didn't see any path that goes here. My friends find me. Darkwing calls this a cheap and cheeky hiding spot. He also says that it's unfair.
After that, we go back to the other levels to collect the coins from the bonus levels. That means we need to go back to the haunted place. Darkwing and Crystal do not like that. The bonus barrels were hiding in really good hiding spots and sometimes hard to reach spots. Some of the levels have cannons as the bonus level. We need to make sure not to lose the cannonballs in order to get in those bonus levels. The cannons need cannonballs to get into the bonus levels. It takes a long while but we finally do all the bonus levels.
"Next we need to do the Lost World… Where's that again?" says Darkwing.
"Past the toll Kremling," says Amy.
"Oh yeah, not looking forward to that."
"We should be okay now that we got all the coins."
We go to the very first area. We can't find him. He's not in this area. We go to Funky. We ride his barrel plane and go to the second area. We find him. He won't let us through unless we pay him. We pay him and go into the golden barrel.
"Why did he charged us again when we already paid him before?" says Darkwing. He's not too happy about that.
We go into the level. This is different? I don't think I been here before.
"Huh?! Hey, this is not the place!" Darkwing shouts.
"We're in a different level," says Tails.
"But we went in that golden barrel," I say. "Why are we in a different level?"
Diddy and Dixie tell us that we should complete this level. This level is a forest. We go right and beat a big mouth bad guy. There're big car wheels in this level. We can bounce really high by jumping on them. We need to use the wheels to get across the spikes on the floor and to get to high places. We keep going, avoiding the bees by bouncing on the big wheel. We then bounce off the flying bug bad guy to get across the spikes. It gets harder later. Not only do we need to keep jumping on the wheels to avoid the spikes on the floor, we need to do this while jumping up the steps that have spikes on them. We have to do this level several times as we keep bouncing into the holes. When we finally make it to the end, we get attack by the bad guy hiding in the barrel. We beat him and throw him into the bee on the right. We jump in the barrel at the bottom and shoot up onto the target. We get bananas from that.
We go to Funky and ride the barrel plane to the next area. We go to the big Kremling at the bridge. He lets us in and calls us mateys. He is very friendly. We didn't pay him any coins. He just lets us in. We go into the level. This is the level we were doing before. This time we know what we're doing. We avoid the bad guys while making our way down. The bad guy in a barrel goes after us again. This time we avoid him and throw him into the bee. We follow the path down, avoiding the bad guys that are in our way. We make it to the bottom and to the end.
We go to Funky again and take the barrel plane to the next area. We go all the way to the big Kremling at the bridge. We need to pay him coin this time. We give him the coins. He lets us into the golden barrel. We go into the next level.
This is different again. There are lots of barrels here, some of them are barrel bad guys. I hate them. They keep scaring me every time. Did I mention the one I hate the most is the scary looking one that will take your 1up if he bumps into you? I really hate him! Not only is he scary looking with those red eyes of his, he can easily take all our 1up by repeatedly bumping into us. We also find these special barrel where only Diddy or Dixie can use. These barrels have their face on them. We also go into number turning barrels. We can turn the barrels in any directions but need to shoot before the number goes down to zero. We accidentally go into the wrong barrel. Dixie was in front and we try to go into the barrel with Diddy's face on it. We go through it and fall into the spikes. Ouch! We quickly jump up and go into the next barrel on the right. We carefully avoid the bee as we shoot into the number turning barrel. We shoot ourselves over to the floor on the right.
"Before we shoot into any of those character barrels, can we make sure we get the right monkey," says Darkwing. He's rubbing his bottom. That's must be where he got hurt when we fell into the spikes.
"Oh no, we only have a few rings left," says Amy.
"We just have to be careful then," says Tails.
We make sure to jump into the right barrel as we carry on forward. We get a checkpoint barrel and get Dixie back from the DK barrel. We go right where I get scared again. It's those stupid barrel bad guys. They always pop out and scare me. We get blow up by the TNT barrel bad guy. We go with Dixie and quickly go right where we go into a turning barrel. The turning barrel moves forward. I can hear bees buzzing about. We shoot to another barrel to avoid the bees. We shoot back to the moving turning barrel once it goes past the bees. We keep doing this. Next we have to shoot upward to get over the last few bees. We get Diddy back and we keep going right, beating the TNT barrel bad guys. We go into another moving turning barrel where we shoot into other barrels to avoid the bees. We need to shoot upward to go over the last few bees again. We go right and jump over the spikes. We get attack by the scary barrel bad guy. We lose Dixie and a 1up because of him. Dixie got bumped into the spikes behind us at the same time we lost a 1up balloon. We quickly beat the barrel bad guy. We go up the step where we get bump by another scary barrel bad guy above us. Tails quickly catches Diddy before he falls onto the spikes below. We beat the barrel bad guy and throw him away. We make it to the end. Diddy goes into his barrel and shoots onto the target. We get a banana coin from that.
We have lost a lot of lives from that stupid level. I really hate those scary barrel bad guys. We go to Funky and take the barrel plane to the next area. We find the big Kremling and pay him coins to get into the golden barrel. He calls us his best mateys when we gave him the coins.
We go to the next level which is in the lava place. We beat the porcupine bad guys and go right where we go inside this number barrel. In this barrel, we can move it to any directions. But we need to be quick as the barrel will shoot us out when the number goes down to zero. There are more of these barrels throughout this level. We need to use them to get across the lava. We need to move them around the bad guys and get to the next barrel. Then we move forward to another barrel while avoiding more bad guys that get in our way. Later the number on the barrels gets smaller and we need to quickly move toward the next barrel before we get shot out of it. It was a very close call. Did I mention that we need to make sure we are facing toward the next barrel? The moving barrels are facing in certain directions so we need to move in the right place so that we will shoot into the next barrel. We don't want to get shot out into the lava. There are also bad guys attacking us on the floor. The hedgehog bad guys grab us and spin us into the lava. We have to redo that level again. We go back in and make sure to avoid the hedgehog bad guys. We make it to the end and jump on the target. We didn't get anything.
We go to Funky and go to the next area. We pay the big Kremling coins and go into the golden barrel. We go into the next level.
I have no idea what's going on. As soon as we get into the level, we get turn into a rhino. We run right, beating the bad guys that get in our way. We go into the next area. We are now in an ice place. We duck into the small holes at the bottom to avoid the cannonballs. We go right and beat the bad guy that was shooting the cannonballs. We go right and fall into another barrel.
We get turned into a swordfish. We follow the path underwater, beating the bad guys and avoiding the exploding pufferfishes. We make it to the end of the ice cave. We have to slide our way out as the water has gone down. We slide out into another barrel.
Yuck! We're a spider! Using the spiderwebs, we get a checkpoint barrel at the top. We go right where there are lots of bad guys. We beat them using the spiderwebs. We use the spiderwebs to cross the big hole. We shoot down the bees with the spiderwebs. We go right to the end where we go into the arrow barrel. We get shot upward into the sky. We are now in the spiky plant level. We use the spiderwebs to get over the spiky plant on the right. We also shoot down the little birds that fly at us. We then go upward to the top and then to the right into a barrel.
We turn into a bird. We fly right. We need to go down but we get blown away to the right.
"Whoa! Watch it!" Darkwing shouts.
"It's the wind, it's blowing us away," says Tails.
"Bad weather we're having, aren't we. Well, we have no choice but to fly against it."
We go down, flying against the wind. The wind changes direction. We fly into the spiky plant on the left.
"Ouch!" Darkwing shouts. He was the one in control of the bird.
Tails takes over. "We have to be careful, the wind is changing," says Tails.
We carefully and slowly fly through this level. We beat the flying bad guys while avoiding the red bees. The wind doesn't make this easy. We have to be careful not to fly against the wind too much when it's about to change direction. We might accidentally fly into the spiky plants or the bad guys. We find it easy to wait for the wind to change and then go and then wait again for it to change and then go again. We carefully go past the flying red bees that fly around in a circle and make it to the end. We go in the barrel and turn into a snake.
We drop down into the arrow barrel below us. The barrel shoots us downward. We fall down into the forest place. There's a high floor on the right. Do we need to jump at the top of our bounce? I don't think we would make it. I hear Diddy telling us to do his high jump ability. What ability? Diddy shows us. He starts bouncing on the spot without jumping. He looks like he is holding in his bounces. He is going quicker and quicker. He then jumps up really high. Wow! I didn't know he could do that. Wait, didn't we need to do that in that acid castle level? Oh, that's what we're supposed to do. That's makes a lot of sense. We needed to use that special high jump instead of trying to jump at the top of our little bounce. If we knew that, that acid castle level would have been a lot easily to beat. I thought it was impossible to get that high up.
We copy Diddy and do a high jump to the top right floor. We beat the bad guy and then go right. There are spikes all over the floor. We need to bounce across using the red bees. We bounce across and land on the floors in between the spikes. We need to time this as the flying red bee won't stop flying left and right. We jump just as he comes closer to us and use him to bounce over the spikes. There's another red bee flying over the spikes. We time it so that we jump on the red bee and bounce over the spikes. We turn back to normal when we go past the no animal sign. We get bananas from that. We go in the arrow barrel and shoot up onto the high floor on the right. We jump in the barrel and shoot onto the target. We get bananas from that.
We go out of the level. We go back out and go to Funky's place. We use his barrel plane to go to the next area. Wait, there's none up here. It's just that flying racing level and the boss level. Did we do the last one?
"That's all of them. What are we supposed to do next?" Tails asks.
"We definitely made it to the top of the video game hero chart. Why don't we check it out," says Darkwing.
We go to that place. Diddy made it to 2nd now.
"Wait, we're still missing some?" says Darkwing. He is confused.
"I think we are missing the ones in the Lost World," says Amy.
"Oh no, looks like we need to go back."
We go back to the Lost World levels. We can't find it in the levels. We do find a bonus barrel hiding in one level. We do it and get a DK coin from it. Huh? I thought we would get those coins, not the DK coin. We find out that all the bonus levels in the Lost World have the DK coins. We go back to each level to find the bonus levels. Again, they are hiding in very good hiding spots. It takes us awhile to find all of them. After that, we go back to see if Diddy is number 1. He has the same number of coins as Mario but he is still 2nd.
"Shouldn't both of them be 1st since they both have the same amount?" says Darkwing.
Cranky tells us first come, first serve. Since Mario got 39 DK coins first, he comes first even if we get the same amount. Which means Diddy is 2nd unless we get another DK coin. We go search everywhere for it. We did all the levels so where's the last one? We go back to the Lost World.
"Hey, look over there!" Amy shouts and points at the mountain with the crocodile head.
"That was not opened before," says Crystal.
"Maybe because we did all the levels, it is opened now," I say.
"Or it might be because we did all the Lost World levels. Either way, it's opened now," says Darkwing.
Diddy and Dixie say that the last DK coin might be in there. We go in. We are inside a room. We go right where we find King K. Rool. He's back! We all look at him in shocked. Diddy's and Dixie's eyes pop out in shocked when they see him.
"How?! Didn't you get eaten by the sharks?!" Darkwing shouts.
King K. Rool is all wet and has seaweeds all over him. He shakes them all off.
"Watch out!" Amy shouts.
King K. Rool shoots his gun at us. Little fishes come out of his gun. They jump about on the floor. King K. Rool looks really surprised. I laugh. That's so funny!
"Looks like your gun ran out of ammunitions," says Darkwing.
King K. Rool shoots out a purple thing. It hits Darkwing.
"Uh oh, spoke too soon," says Darkwing. He looks like he has no idea how to move properly.
King K. Rool shoots out lots of cannonballs at us. We try our best to avoid them all. We didn't do well. We get hit by the cannonballs. We get kicked out of the level again.
"Rematch?" Darkwing asks us.
"Of course," says Crystal.
We go back in to fight him again. This time we dodge the cannonballs. King K. Rool shoots out more purple things at us. We dodge them. He shoots out more cannonballs. They're going faster and faster. We get hit by them. King K. Rool shoots out more purple things at us. We jump over them. He keeps shooting cannonballs non-stop. Whoa! That's a lot of cannonballs! We couldn't dodge them all. We get hit again and get kicked out of the level again.
"He is not playing around anymore," says Darkwing.
"How about we rest up in a safe place?" says Amy.
We go back out and rest up at the Kong Kollege. We save our game too. We tell Wrinkly about what just happened to us. She gives us a weird hint, something about going right is the way. We go back to the Lost World and to the boss level.
"We should do what she said and go right," I say.
"You're sure about that?!" Darkwing asks me. "I think you misunderstood Julie. She was talking about one of the other levels, not that hidden final boss level. The only thing on the right is Kaptain K. Rool and he is not in the mood with us."
"I think we can make it," I say.
"Might as well give it a shot," says Amy.
"Okay, just don't blame me if Kaptain K. Rool whacks you with the back of his gun," says Darkwing.
We dodge King K. Rool's attacks and jump over him. We stick to the far right of the room. King K. Rool keeps shooting to his left. It seems he doesn't see us. It is very tight here. We are very close to King K. Rool. If we move, we might accidentally bump into him. We stand still as King K. Rool carries on shooting.
"His rage must have blinded him. He still thinks we're over there… Or it could be that this is a oversight from the developers as they didn't expect anyone going over here," says Darkwing. He notices we are looking at him. Darkwing puts his hand over his face. "Oh boy, I sound like Cranky, I'm talking as if this is a video game."
I don't think he is happy that he sounded like Cranky. I look and see a barrel flying across. "The barrel!" I shout and point at the barrel.
"Oh no, we missed it," says Tails.
King K. Rool starts shooting again.
"Is that the same attack pattern as before? Oh no, we have to wait till he is finished," says Darkwing.
"Uh…?"
"Julie, is there anything wrong?"
"Uh… How do we get out of here?" I ask.
"Huh?"
"King K. Rool is too close to us. I don't think we have enough room to jump over him."
"…You do have a point. This is a tight spot. Did you called him King K. Rool? He's Kaptain now."
"I think this is it," says Tails. He carries me up to safety.
Dixie couldn't jump over King K. Rool. She gets hit and runs away. Diddy quickly goes past King K. Rool. We hit the barrel and get a cannonball. We throw it at King K. Rool as he tries to suck us in with his gun. The cannonball goes into his gun. We get a DK coin. King K. Rool looks very surprised that his gun isn't working. He's trying to get the gun working again.
"That's not a good idea. You shouldn't press the trigger continuously like that, especially on a faulty gun," Darkwing says to King K. Rool.
King K. Rool keeps pressing the trigger until he blows up. He goes flying up and into the weird light thing in the back of the room. Everything start shaking. We go back to Cranky where he tells us that we are true video game hero for finishing everything. We need to get out of here now. We go over to the hero place where Diddy is now 1st. Cranky says that he's a big hero just like him and Donkey Kong.
We all make it out. On the mountain, we watch the island sinks into the water. Donkey Kong puts his hands on the back of his best friend, Diddy. He is also carrying Dixie on his shoulders like a piggyback. The light comes out of the island as it sinks into the water. I think I see someone on a surfboard. He is surfing away from the island.
"Is that our friend?" I ask. I wave to our friend on the surfboard.
"Which friend?" Darkwing asks me.
"You know, the one on the bridge."
"You mean Klubba," says Amy. "No, I don't think that's him."
I stop waving. "It's not?"
"Isn't that Kaptain K. Rool?" Darkwing says. We hear evil laughters. "Yup, that's him."
That's King K. Rool on that surfboard, not our friend? I hope our friend is okay. After that, we say goodbye to Donkey Kong, Diddy and Dixie. We all go back to our homes.
And that's the last past of Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. This is my favourite game of the Donkey Kong Country series. Oh, did I mentioned I read the subtitle wrong? I thought it was Diddy Kong's Quest but it was Diddy's Kong Quest.
Also, sorry if the chapter looked a bit shorter than usual. As I said before, I am not going into deep details of every levels but will point out some things that I remembered the most when I played them.
