The next morning everyone in the base awoke to get prepared for their hunting trip. Before the group left Darus began to wonder where Giza had gone.
Darus: Has anyone seen Giza?
Alex: I-I have.
Darus: When did you see her?
Alex: Last night. She was leaving the village.
Darus: Did she tell you where she was going?
Alex: No.
Feeling bothered of Giza's sudden disappearance Darus led the group out of the gates and into the forest. Once they reached the center of the forest Darus commanded the group to split up. Alex, Erik and Gillie took the left side. Steve, Darus and Erin took the right.
Erik: Hope we end up finding something good.
Alex: Like what?
Erik: Oh you know, boars, oxen, buffalo, that sort of thing.
Alex: I don't think we ever had those on my previous world.
Erik: Oh yeah. They are a delicacy to say the least. If we find a couple of butter leaves that would make them even better.
Alex: You seem to know a lot about this world.
Erik: Yeah, I've been studying it ever since I came here. You know for a world that's known as the "Wither World" all of the creatures on it seems to be pretty lively.
Alex chuckled at the exciting things Erik talked about and then she looked at Gillie, who had been riding right in front of the two.
Alex: So Gillie, what do you think of this world?
Gillie slightly turned his as if he heard what Alex had asked, but he turned it towards the front again, not giving any answers.
Erik: Good luck getting him talk.
Alex: Why's that?
Erik: A few years ago he was out in the forest fighting off a bunch of skeletons. Got shot in the neck. We all thought he was a goner, but he pulled through.
Alex: Wow.
Erik: Yeah. Wow. Gillie is probably the strongest teammates we have.
Above Alex's head a skeletal eight legged creature leaped into the air. Alex turned just in time to see get shot down and fall back to the ground. Alex turned back around and saw Gillie with his crossbow in hand.
Alex: Thank you Gillie.
Gillie nodded, putting his crossbow and turning back towards the direction he was going, as Erik and Alex watched the spider die.
Erik: Wither Spiders. One bite from one of them you're pretty much a goner.
Alex: Hopefully we don't run into them again.
As Alex, Erik and Gillie searched the left side of the forest, Steve, Erin and Darus came upon an opening where pig-like creatures grazed. Getting off their horses and hiding in the bushes, Steve caught sight of an even bigger pig creature with the spikes going from the top of it's head down the center of it's back.
Steve: What is that?
Erin: Razorback. Peaceful, but it'll fight back if frightened.
Darus: Let's sneak around it. I'll go one way, Erin, Steve, you go the other way. We'll flank him.
Heeding to Darus' orders, Steve and Erin snuck to the right of the area, making sure the pigs couldn't see them.
Steve: What are these other things anyways?
Erin: Boars. They're quick despite how small they are. But the Razorbacks, those are the most rare.
Steve: Then we best be careful not to frighten it.
Erin: Agreed.
Once they were near the Razorback Darus gave the signal from the other side of the forest. Erin and Steve rushed out of the bushes with their weapons drawn. The Razorback bellowed out a loud snort as the two stuck it with swords. The Razorback ran about, trying to throw it's attackers off, but Darus came out from the bushes, putting a gash in it's front left leg. The Razorback fell on it's face, throwing Steve and Erin off. With one final blow, Darus climbed onto it's carcass and plunged his sword into it's thick skin. The creature disappeared as piles of meat littered the ground. The three picked up the meat, but soon heard the sound of an even larger creature approaching. Trees fell to the grass as an even bigger Razorback, this one with fiery red eyes came hurling towards our the team. Darus, Steve and Erin ran as fast as they could possibly go until they reached a nearby. All three of them hid inside, but creature was still coming, trying to burrow itself in. Suddenly the creature let out a painful howl as Gillie rode in to battle the creature one on one. The Razorback charged at Gillie, but Gillie jumped onto it's snout, climbed it's face and struck in the eye with his battle axe. The creature howled in pain once again and tried tossing itself into the trees around it, but Gillie hung on tight as the creature made it's way to a mountain. The Razorback bumped it's head into the mountain, almost squishing Gillie, but Gillie hopped above the creature's head and began striking it's back. The Razorback slammed itself as hard as it could into the rocks, causing a landslide fall on the creature, killing it. Gillie, who had jumped off just in time stood above the pile of rocks and held his battle axe up in victory. The team all cheered as they collected the meat that the dead Razorback left behind.
Next chapter, we find out where Giza had gone.
