It has been a few days since Hikari and Eevee had move in with Delia Ketchum at that time she suggested that Hikari change her last name so that Team Core would have trouble finding her for safety purposes. Hikari agreed to this since she has no choice since there was no other option. One trip to the mayor's office later. Hikari Uzumaki was now Hikari Ketchum. Professor Oak came at the Ketchum residents everyday to teach Hikari about pokemon. After class with Professor Oak she plays with her best friend Eevee everyday. Delia was happy that Hikari was doing better then the last couple of days it was on one of these days after Professor Oak's tutoring session he gave Hikari a poster to show her Mom.

Hikari ran to Delia with a flier in her hand, she sees Delia feeding Eevee her lunch. "Mama look, Professor Oak gave me it's a flier for Professor Oak's Summer camp just like he said he would," as she gave Delia the flier.

"Can I go please please please," Hikari tried to convince her Mom.

Delia looked at the flier then her adopted daughter she knew Hikari wanted this more then anything even Professor Oak recommended it to Hikari. She's just worried that Hikari could end up hurt or dead if she ever encountered Team Core again. She knew that keeping her from her dream was just as bad as the people who did those awful experiments on her. She smiled at her daughter before saying.

"Of course you can sweetie. Let Eevee wake you up on the first day of camp I have to work at the cafe that day." Delia explained. Which Hikari jumped up and down as she hugged her.

"Oh thank you, thank you Mama." Hikari said.

Eevee looked at her as she tilted her head.

In the forest a tiny mouse pokemon. It has pale yellow and black fur, pointy ears, a small black tail, and pink cheeks. This is Pichu an electric mouse pokemon it was crying because of how alone he was since his older twin brother was taken by people with yellow armor on. That's when a baby Kangaskan found Pichu crying.

"Are you okay how come your crying?" The baby Kangaskan asked.

"My Big brother was taken from me by a group of human with yellow armor. Now I'm all alone." Pichu crying.

"You can come home with me Mama won't mind." Baby Kangaskan said. Which made Pichu smiled as he nodded his head as they went to Baby Kangaskan's home.

They made it deep within the forest where the pokemon clan of the Kangaskan live. Mama Kangaskan is picking Oren berries for supper. She noticed her baby was with a strange pokemon she had never seen before.

"Baby who is this?"Mama Kangaskan asked her baby.

"This is my new friend, he's brother was taken by a group of people in yellow armor. He doesn't have anywhere else to go so I took him here." Baby Kangaskan explained the situation to his mother.

Kangaskan looked at her baby and the strange pokemon and smiled knowing her answer.

"You can stay here with us little one we will be happy to look after you since you are a baby and you need looking after." Kangaskan said as she grabbed her baby and Pichu to put them in their pouch. They jumped up and down in their mother's pouch excited to have found a home with the Kangaskan and be a member of the family.

A few days later Eevee wakes up Hikari she got dressed in a yellow shirt with a red strip in the middle, with blue shorts, and blue and red sneakers that Delia bought a few days ago.

"Have a good day at camp Hikari make new friends and learn a lot." Eevee said.

I smiled at Eevee saying "Be good Eevee our neighbor is going to look after you while me and mom are gone be good for them." Hikari said as she let in her neighbor to watch Eevee.

Eevee smiled and said "don't worry I will." Eevee said as Hikari finished talking to the neighbor about the list on how to take care of her best friend.

Hikari walked towards Professor Oak's lab. As she got to the lab she sees a little boy reading a book by a tree. She didn't know who this boy is, he's probably a local boy from this town.

I walked up towards the boy reading the boy. His hair was brunette and wears a dark navy blue shirt with a picture of Cufant with white stripes on the pocket, olive green shorts, and black sneakers. She heard that the boy was struggling to read his book, probably had trouble with the words. He was mesmerized by the pictures. That's when Hikari walked up to him.

"Hi my name is Hikari."

The boy was startled by the girl. He looked up shyly as the boy waved.

"Hello, my name is Darrel."

"Hey Darrel. Watcha reading? Hikari asked.

Darrel closed his book and showed her the title, but Hikari gasped that she recognized the book.

"(gasp) Is that the trainer, the Dragonite, and the monster?!" Hikari asked with excitement.

Darrel nodded shyly.

"I got one too my Mom and I read it together every night before I go to bed! It got great pictures."

"Uh huh." Darrel nodded his head again.

Hikari sat next to him so that Darrel can open the book to show his book to her. Hikari started to read as Darrel listens.

"The trainer traveled far and wide. Through the dark tunnels and steep hills. The Trainer meets the Dragonite- then Hikari stopped reading. Wait, I should help you read this one line." Hikari pointed the one line." "Read what the Trainer says."

Darrel looked to were Hikari is pointing. He looked at the words as if they looked like strange symbols. Hikari gestured him to breath slowly. He did that and saw the words clearly when he started to put the words together, slowly.

"Brave… Dragonite, I… have… come… to… aid… you… on… a… quest." Darrel read slowly.

"That's it. Now what does this say?" Hikari points to another set of words before Darrel slowly reads out loud. Hikari smiles as she helped Darrel read his book. When they finished the book there were more kids now and there where adults there as well. They see a young boy with short black hair with red highlights and tan skin. He wore a red and grey shirt with a Gengar on it, grey shorts, and blue eyes. The young girl had Maroon hair in a braided ponytail with a pink hair tie holding there hair together, green eyes, she wore a white shirt it had a yellow knot on it, sky blue shorts, red and white shoes.

"Looks like camps gonna start soon I think we should go to were the others are." Hikari suggested.

"Yes…we…should…we… don't… want… to … be… late." Darrel said shyly."

Hikari and Darrel made there way to the other kids.

Hikari noticed the girl and the boy are close friends despite the girl's annoyance for the boy's confidence in himself. Hikari tried to talk with the other kids about pokemon but they ignored her and started talking with the other kids. That was disappointing this was not how Hikari envisioned when she wanted to go to Professor Oak's summer camp. As the introduction was finished they waited outside to get ready to take their leave and begin their Pokemon Camp, but the Professor's insistence on everyone to continue waiting… That was when until a girl that Hikari learned her name is Chloe raised a question to the Kanto Professor.

"Uh Professor? Isn't it time to be on our way?" questioned Chloe, causing Professor Oak to give a sheepish smile to the young girl and the other kids that were ready to leave.

"Yes, but… I'm afraid we're still missing one kid… Professor Oak explained, causing Chloe to give another reminder.

"Don't you think this kid should've gotten here a long time ago… Chloe added, causing the Kanto Professor to give a sheepish smile before he explained a little who they were waiting for.

"Well, we're waiting for a lively young girl, who lives in the neighborhood." Oak explained, causing Hikari's eyes to blink.

"I know what… I bet she was so excited about our trip that they couldn't sleep! Kinda simple minded and not a responsible girl, huh…" Another boy, who Hikari learned was Goh smirked, sounding a bit arrogant.

Realizing what Goh was saying is true about her, he couldn't help but agree with the young boy. Then out of no where they hear a young girl's voice.

"I'm sorry I'm late."

Everyone turned to see a young girl with chestnut brown hair, brown eyes, wore a green blouse and purple skirt. She looked like a kind girl with a bubbly personality, she looks like she's someone to take care of pokemon.

"Oh! Leaf there you are glad you can join us! Professor Oak said in disappointment.

Leaf gave Professor Oak a sheepish smile knowing how much trouble she was in.

"I'm sorry Professor, my alarm clock broke and I didn't wake up on time. I ended up running from the house to try and make it to camp on time." Leaf explained.

"Ah…I see…" chuckling at the girls antics. Then Professor Oak remembered the boy that he didn't recognize as he questioned Goh for who he was.

"Huh?…Wait… What was your name again?" Questioned the Kanto Professor.

"See she invited me along! I'm Goh GoGo!" Goh introduces himself, as he pointed to Chloe.

"A friend of Chloe's?" Asked the Professor, earning a smile confirmation from the young girl.

"That's right! He comes to watch the research to my dad's all the time, so I brought him!" Chloe explained, allowing the Kanto Professor to smile and remember who the girl is referring to.

"Oh! And how is Prof. Cerise?" Professor Oak asked, Chloe smiled at Professor Oak for the concern of her father.

"Fine!" assured the young girl, before Prof. Oak explained to the kids of what his acquaintance does regarding on Pokemon.

"Chloe's father does lots of research on Pokemon, just like me! Not only that, he's been hailed as a genius since he was young! A promising researcher!" Prof. Oak spoke, until Goh spoke up."

"So, how long are we going to wait? The irresponsible kid is here shouldn't we get going?" Goh stated, only for Leaf to give him a glare.

"I'm not irresponsible. I just need some help getting over to some events on time. I'm not always late on events like this, just so you know." Leaf spoke to Goh which gave him a shiver down his back. Goh smiled sheepishly at her.

"Ah… R-Right…" Goh spoke.

The Kanto Professor turned to the other kids that were ready to begin there camp time.

"Well them delayed meetings mean delayed returning… That's settles it! Let's be on our way!" Professor Oak suggested, much to the kids' excitement.

Hikari is excited about the event as well, he looked at Leaf who waved and smiled at her. Hikari smiled back to her as the went into the forest.

Professor Oak began to lead the kids and Hikari to where the forest route was, so that they could begin their little journey in the Pokemon Camp.

"Alright then. It's time to observe multitude of Pokemon living in this forest!" Prof. Oak announced, causing the kids to cheer while Darrel made a timid call while raising his fist weakly in the air.

As the kids and the Kanto Professor were making their way across the forest that led to route 1, they noticed a pokemon trainer battling against a familiar bug type pokemon with a Squirtle by her side. Immediately, Hikari was intrigued and awed at the sight of the Bug Type, but he apparently wasn't the only one that was awed by the action going on.

"It's a wild Caterpie!" Hikari and Goh said together, before they blinked and looked at each other, causing the kids to chuckle while some boys frowned a bit, as the Kanto Professor chuckled as well before they all watched to see the girl captured Caterpie!

Once the capture was done, the girl jumped up and down happily, feeling content for being able to catch her first pokemon, which left the kids awed and gave the Kanto Professor a chance to speak of what they just witnessed just now.

"Just as you, observed, by throwing Pokeballs at wild pokemon, you have the chance to catch them! And when the rest of you turn 10, you can become Trainers! You'll then choose your first partner Pokemon suitable for beginners! That's when you and your pokemon will be able to go out on your very own journey!" Prof. Oak explained.

The first part of the lecture of being able to start on their own journeys left the kids rather awed and eager to start their own journeys! Professor Oak explained.

The first part of the lecture of being able to start their own journey let the kids in awed and eager to start their own journeys when it's time for them to take the next step.

Hikari was rather eager herself of wanting to go on a journey since her Older brother went on journeys himself when he was young. If she wanted to become a Trainer she was going to be a good one.

"But before then, you'll want to learn everything you can about pokemon!" Professor Oak reminded, as this made the kids want to learn more about the Pokemon than they knew about already.

"Alright, Professor! We will!" Most of the kids shouted out, with Chloe being part of those kids. But as she raised her hand like other kids, did including Darrel and Hikari. Goh bragged about how much knowledge he knew about pokemon.

"Although there probably isn't a thing about Pokemon I don't know!" Goh bragged proudly, catching Hikari's attention and the other kids. For Chloe, she frowned at her childhood friend, trying to get him to calm down.

"But Goh…!" Chloe protested, as the Kanto Professor laughed a little for the cheeky words the young boy spilled out, as he felt rather amused to hear such words from a young boy like Goh.

"Haha! Sounds like your quite the expert! You can even rivaled one of my best young students." Professor Oak chuckled, causing Goh to grin proudly to himself.

For Hikari, she watched as Goh smirk proudly to himself as the Pokemon Camp session to go on. Chloe spoke to the young boy to get him to calm down so that the Kanto Professor would be the one to give the lectures.

"How much does this guy know about them exactly…? Hikari asked herself curiously of the boy named Goh before the kids continued to follow the Kanto Professor.

As Professor Oak led the kids down to a path to the woods, he stopped by to give a small Pop quiz of whether one of the kids knew what the Pokemon they had to see.

"Who can tell me something about this Pokemon." Questioned Prof. Oak, which Goh and Hikari said at the same time.

"It's a Cocoon pokemon, Kakuna!" Goh and Hikari responded, impressing the Kanto Professor.

"Ooh! Precisely!" agreed the Professor before they turned to see a duck-like pokemon holding a leek.

"Then you two probably know this one, too! Professor Oak tested, only for Goh and Hikari to quickly respond than before as they seemed to have already know who this one was, too.

"Mm hm! That's a Farfetch'd! It's got a leek that swings like a sword, and slice up all kinds of stuff!" Goh and Hikari simultaneously said. Much to the other kids and to each other's amazement as two kids were rather impressed with Goh's and Hikari's high knowledge of the mysterious creatures.

"You two know everything…!" The kids breathed out in amazement, causing Darrel to feel rather uncomfortable. Like Goh, and Hikari, Darrel knew most about Pokemon too, except that he didn't have the courage to speak up. As he watched Goh and Hikari lecture the others about Diglett and Dugtrio without hesitation, Darrel began to feel envy towards Goh and Hikari, Goh seems to be leaving the other kids rather uncomfortable the more he spoke. Hikari on the other hand tried to calm Goh down when she noticed how uncomfortable they both were making everyone.

Chloe looked more uncomfortable as she tried to remind Goh of who they've got to lecture them about Pokemon in the first place.

"Goh please stop, I think we should let Prof. Oak finish the lectures were making everyone uncomfortable with us teaching the campers instead of him." Hikari tried to calm Goh down.

"Hikari's right Goh, We've got Professor Oak here to give us the facts about Pokemon. Chloe reminded with a deadpanned look, causing the Kanto Professor to chuckle and acknowledge the high knowledge those outgoing kids had.

"Hahaha! Though I'll have to admit, Goh and my student Hikari are quite knowledgeable!" Prof. Oak admitted before the tour in the forest went on.

The other kids began to chatter about how amazing Goh and Hikari are, how they were able to actually take over the lecture, making Darrel a bit more envious, Hikari was embarrassed of how out of hand she and Goh had gotten during the trip. Chloe a bit uncomfortable on the situation that Goh was putting himself in.

That's when Hikari's shoulder was touched by someone's hand. Hikari turned around to see none other than Leaf.

"So, your the new girl I had been seeing all over Pallet Town with Mrs. Ketchum. I heard from my friend Gary that his grandfather was seeing a new girl who was taken in by Delia Ketchum to teach her all about pokemon. Are you that girl?" Leaf asked.

"I just got adopted a week ago when I got to Pallet Town. Professor Oak has given me lessons about pokemon so I can become a trainer and travel all over the world. He has a grandson how come I didn't see him at camp?"

"It's because he's spending time with his dad since he's very busy being champion of the Kanto League. He can only take off a few times of the year. It's during when the league on break. Gary look forward to it every year." Leaf explained to me.

"I hope we can become great friends."

"Me too Leaf I would like that."

I was excited that I made a new friend besides Darrel at the camp. I wonder if I can make a few more. I thought.

"Alright…As Goh previously mentioned, Pokemon evolve! Conditions for evolution vary among pokemon, but they're all living creatures whose appearance has change! Prof. Oak started to explain, only for Goh to butt in with the correction.

"That Farfetch'd doesn't evolve, right?" Goh pointed out, causing the Kanto Professor to wince a little at the small mistake he had made regarding on what kind of pokemon evolved, causing him to sweat drop.

"Ah…! Y-Yes… that's correct." Prof. Oak spoke sheepishly, until Goh began to rant again on how evolution works on some.

"It's not like every pokemon on the planet evolves! The fact is, there are some Pokemon who don't actually evolve!" Goh started, until Chloe tried to stop him from ranting on once again.

"Excuse me…!" Chloe whispered, catching her childhood friend's attention until the Professor reassured that it was alright.

"Why, I don't mind!" Prof. Oak spoke kindly, as the little tour went on.

The Kanto Professor continued to lead the kids to where there would be more sights of pokemon for the kids to see and learn as the Pokemon camp went on. But as they were walking, Darrel began to lag behind, as he began to feel a bit left behind.

Only friend he had made is Hikari who helped him read his favorite book, he is grateful to Hikari and it looks like she made friends with Leaf. Darrel looked at both girls talking he is envious of them because he didn't have the courage to speak up to them first, it was getting difficult to make friends at this summer camp. The kids ahead of him was the exact opposite of him.

That's When Hikari and Leaf were walking towards him with smiles on there faces. He wondered why would they go to him?

"Leaf this is Darrel I met him before camp started."

"Oh, the one you helped him read his favorite book The Trainer, the Dragon, and the monster."

"Yes, Leaf this is Darrel, Darrel this is Leaf Green." I introduced them to each other.

"Hi…" Darrel timidly said.

"Hello Darrel, Hikari told me a lot about you. I'm a fan of the book to and I want to talk too you and Hikari more about pokemon, our interests, and our dreams. Do you want to be friends?" Leaf asked.

Darrel's eyes lit up at a potential of having more friends.

"Yes,… I… would…like…to…be…friends." Darrel said shyly.

All three of them smile as they continue to talk about pokemon this was a start of a beautiful friendship.

As they continued to talk Hikari, Leaf and Darrel heard two familiar voices ahead of them as they looked up to see that it was Goh and Chloe, as the two were looking like they were arguing because of Goh continuously interrupting the Kanto Professor and bragged about his high knowledge of pokemon.

"Honestly, Goh! This is exactly why you never make friends!" Chloe scolded, causing Goh to look rather confused.

"Who said I wanted friends, anyway? What I want, is to catch a Pokemon no one has ever seen before!" Goh declared, catching their attention as Darrel was upset Goh didn't want to make friends. At the same time Hikari, Leaf, and Darrel were intrigued by the dream Goh had, Chloe seemed to have known a little about his dream she didn't seemed amused by this.

"Don't make fun of me! Goh snapped at her, as he heard Chloe sighed coming from her mouth.

"You're talking like your in a dream!" Chloe reminded, only for Goh to ignore her.

"It's reality! It's my future! And I have it in the palm of my hands!" Goh protested, as they came over to see Goh making an outburst at his childhood friend Chloe.

"Um, excuse me…?" Darrel bravely said, catching their attention as Chloe blinked.

"Oh…aren't you…Darrel Loyalitat, your Hikari Ketchum the girl that is knowledgeable of pokemon like my friend Goh is and your Leaf Green the girt who was late to camp?" Chloe blinked at them.

"Uhhh should we be catching up to everyone else?" Leaf said.

"If…we keep walking like this, then they'll just leave us behind…" Darrel timidly added, casing Goh to sighed before everyone heard a huge cry!

The five turned to see a big pokemon fighting what seemed to be a Pokemon that was rather light-pink and was floating around, as if it was flying or levitating around in the air!

"A Nidoking…" Darrel pointed out, before they noticed the mysterious pokemon facing the Poison-Ground type. Goh noticed it as well, as he took a close look on what it was.

"Hold on…" Goh started, causing the five to watch and see Nidoking unleashed his Earth Power attack! The mysterious pokemon vanished in the process to dodge the attack, shocking everyone as their jaws dropped.

"It vanished!" Goh exclaimed in disbelief as Leaf recognized the move.

"That was Teleport… Ah… over there…!" Leaf said, as she noticed Mew reappearing behind Nidoking, allowing Chloe and Goh to see where it was as well. As Nidoking turned to see its little opponent, he was a bit miffed and angry for the Teleport trick the Pokemon did, but the mysterious one seemed to find this just fine as it slammed his tiny fist on the ground to use the move Earth Power?!

"It used the same move as Nidoking!" Goh pointed out as Nidoking was dazed from the super effective attack he was struck by it!

The mysterious pokemon giggled at the look Nidoking gave him as the Drill Pokemon shook his head to recover before he used the Sludge Wave attack, only for the little pokemon to teleport to dodge again before it used the same poison attack to hit Nidoking!

"It just used the same move again!" Goh exclaimed while Darrel, Leaf, and Chloe watched in awe. Hikari watched the mysterious pokemon closely knowing what kind of pokemon it is since she sees murals of the same pokemon in the temple back before her village was destroyed. Not only that but her new DNA recognizes the pokemon since it came from the same species.

The second attack made Nidoking very mad as he roared before he used a fire type move called Fire Blast attack after concentrating on using fire type energy! But once again like all the other moves it used. He teleported away to dodge before he used the same fire type attack onto the drill pokemon!

That attack burned Nidoking, much to its pain and embarrassment as everyone his eyes to see the three attacks being copied by the mysterious pokemon that wanted a little battle fun, with nothing serious as Nidoking groaned, before fainting in defeat.

"Wow, That one copied all of Nidoking's attack. It's as if, it learned while dodging the attacks with Teleport." Leaf spoke in awe, Goh brought up another question for. Chloe and everyone to think about.

"Yeah, Who is that pokemon?" Goh asked.

"That was Mew the legendary pokemon." Hikari said.

"Wait how do you know about this pokemon?" Goh asked.

"Well, I learned about it from my Dad all about Mew… back at my hometown." Hikari said sadly.

"You mean Bal Des Sola Village from Mirage Island off of Hoenn. Me and my friend Gary over heard Professor Oak and his Dad talking about how these people called themselves Team Core they destroyed the village and got rid of everyone except there was one survivor-."

"Leaf!" Darrel shouted.

"Uh, what?" Leaf asked before Darrel pointed at a crying Hikari.

"Oh no, Hikari I'm so sorry. I didn't think of what you were going through. Leaf said ashamed at herself.

"Hikari, I'm sorry you have to go through something like that." Chloe said sadly.

"We're here for you Hikari no matter what happens." Darrel said reassuring her.

"I've decided, Hikari I want to be you to be my friend. I mean you have almost the same knowledge for pokemon as me plus your a good person who likes people and pokemon." Goh said.

Chloe was proud of Goh for making a new friend. Darrel and Leaf smiled at this interaction.

Hikari wiped her tears away.

"Do you mean it?" Hikari asked Goh.

"Of course I do after all the future is at the palm at my hand." Goh said with enthusiasm.

"Hikari let's go Mew is getting away!" Goh shouted.

Mew felt their present it flew away deeper into the forest.

Goh ran after Mew.

"Goh! Wait up!" Chloe pleaded as she ran after her childhood friend.

"Yeah, wait for us Goh I want to see Mew too. Leaf said as she ran after them.

Hikari looked at the roasted Nidoking, who was still unconscious from the humiliating defeat from Mew.

"It would be bad if we just leave him here like this we have to help him Darrel."

"My mom put Sitrus Berries…. and Rawst Berries… in my backpack for a snack. I… think it… can be used… to… heal Nidoking's burns… that's what my Dad taught me." Darrel said.

After both Hikari and Darrel fed Nidoking the two berries, Nidoking blinked his eyes several times before he groaned and looked around to see Hikari and Darrel smiling at him one was gentle the other was also gentle but, timid in a way.

"Are you okay?" Hikari asked kindly, which caused the poison and ground type to groan a bit before he glared at the two of them, Darry flinched at Nidoking's glare but with Hikari comforting him they manage to stay in place so that Nidoking would be able to move properly after all that damage his body had taken from his battle with Mew.

Nidoking just stared at both Hikari and Darrel before he grunted out in pain and embarrassment , he said: "that he was fine, and that he was upset of losing to a little pokemon like that who was able to dodge and copy all his moves…"

"Losing a match can happens sometimes whether you like it or not. Maybe you can you this

lose as motivation to help you get stronger by training a lot more, then think about what can you do to improve yourself when you think about the battle. Then you can figure out a way to win against that pokemon you loss to no matter how difficult it gets." Hikari advised him.

Nidoking and Darrel were surprised, to see Hikari understanding Nidoking and talking to him like they were having a conversation who is softly smiling at him. This bewildered both him and Darrel.

"Just try not to be so mad about it, okay Nidoking?" Hikari said kindly to him, this caused him to grumble more as he agreed to not let the loss get to him.

With a grunt he thanked Hikari, Nidoking took his leave, leaving both Hikari and Darrel to have smiles on their faces.

"That's done. Now then…" Hikari started to blink when she realize only her and Darrel were here the other must of left to find Mew and Goh.

"It's just us now… Hey Hikari can you understand pokemon? I mean… when you talk to Nidoking it almost look like you were having a conversation. Darrel asked.

Hikari sighed she knew this would come up eventually.

So she turned to Darrel and said, "Listen Darrel what you saw was me talking to Nidoking and understanding him of what he said. It's because me and my family were born with the ability called aura which it gave me and my family to understand pokemon of what they are saying."

Hikari explained to Darrel.

"That's so cool it's like in my book how the trainer was understand Dragonite." Darrel said with excitement.

Hikari smiled at Darrel before realizing the situation they are in.

"Darrel let's go find our friends and see we can catch up to Professor Oak." Hikari said as Darrel followed her into the forest.

While Hikari and Darrel were searching for the other kids and Professor Oak as they took as stroll in the forest they noticed Mew the pokemon Goh was looking for as they where surprised to see the pokemon flying in this area. Darrel and Hikari noticed a baby Kangaskan was following Mew.

"Darrel we should followed that baby Kangaskan, it shouldn't be away from it's mom or his home. We better follow him to make sure the baby Kangaskan is not in any danger." Hikari said with concern.

"Your right Hikari we can't let the baby Kangaskan get hurt. Let's go find the baby and return him to his Mom." Darrel said with determination.

As they ran to catch up to them. Hikari and Darrel saw Mew playing with the baby Kangaskan. The baby Kangaskan wanted to find out what the mysterious pokemon was doing as he followed it.

Then there was trouble, they saw Kangaskan following Mew by climbing up a cliff. Hikari and Darrel were worried now that the baby Kangaskan was now putting itself in danger.

"Baby Kangaskan please come back down! You'll get hurt!" Hikari shouted.

"Baby Kangaskan it's not safe! You'll fall and hurt yourself!" Darrel shouted to get it's attention.

They tried to warn the baby Kangaskan that it was dangerous for the little one to climb up so high. But the baby Kangaskan was too far up to hear Hikari and Darrel shouting to warn him.

Hikari now didn't have a choice she was going to have to climb the cliff now.

"Darrel can you hold on to my bag for me?" Hikari asked as she handed the backpack to him.

"What are you doing Hikari? Don't tell me your going to climb that cliff are you!?" Darrel asked in worry of his friend.

"Darrel I have too, if I don't the baby Kangaskan can get very hurt or worse."

Hikari saw how down Darrel had become as she walked towards him.

"Don't worry Darrel I'll be carful, I'm just going to get the baby Kangaskan down. Once I grab him I'll come right back down." Hikari reassured him.

Darrel looked at Hikari and saw her determination.

"Just be careful Hikari your my friend I don't want to lose my first friend." Darrel said.

Hikari nodded as she started to climb the cliff to get to the baby Kangaskan. Darrel can only watch his friend in worry.

Hikari was now putting herself in danger as well.

A few minutes later Hikari was almost to the top of the cliff she was able to see the baby Kangaskan standing on a small cliff that could fall if something were to happen! So Hikari started to climb faster to get to the baby Kangaskan.

"Oh no…" Hikari said.

The little one is trying to catch Mew.

"Hey, stop please your going to fall if you keep standing on the ledge! Hikari shouted to warn the baby Kangaskan.

This catch the baby Kangaskan and Mew's attention!

Mew saw the five year old girl curiously Mew floated towards her, Mew noticed that the girl had his DNA as he continued to inspect her. This made Hikari uncomfortable.

"What are you doing?" Hikari asked Mew, but before she could ask more Mew teleported out of sight much of the baby Kangaskan's protest as he said "come back."

As he jumped up and down with disappointment, the cliff started to to break apart where the baby Kangaskan was standing. This shocked the baby as he grew pale at the sight.

"HELP!!!" The little one screamed as he started to fall of the cliff! With no choice Hikari jumped off the side of the cliff to catch the baby Kangaskan.

"AH?!"

Hikari was able to catch the baby Kangaskan, but they were still falling to where the small river was!

"HIKARI!!" Darrel shouted in fear of his friend safety.

Hikari's eyes widened as she screamed in fear of the reality of what was going to happen to her.

"AHHHHH!!"

Everything went slow as Hikari awaited for her death she knew what she did was stupid but at the same time she knows she did the right thing to save the baby Kangaskan. Hikari felt courageous and at peace with herself that she was able to pull a Stunt like that.

Later: "…ari? Hikari?, are you okay Hikari?!"

"Mm…"

Hearing familiar voices, Hikari slowly opened her eyes to see Delia, Professor Oak, Eevee, Darrel, Goh, Leaf, and Chloe. She slowly blink several times to see she's at Prof. Oak's lab.

"Mom, Eevee, Prof. Oak, Leaf, Darrel, Goh, and Chloe? Where am I?"

"Your in the guest room in my lab… You gave us all quite a shock when Leaf, Darrel, Goh, and Chloe found you out at the bottom of the cliff…" Prof. Oak explained, confusing Hikari before she remembered the fall she had when she tried to save the baby Kangaskan.

"Ah… I was… falling, because I wanted to save the little Kangaskan…" Hikari explained. Eevee sat on her lap with concern on her face.

"Ah…! Wait… why are you guys here…?! Hikari looked to see her new friends she met. They gave her small smiles.

"They stayed here with you until you recovered from the fall you seemed to have taken…" Prof. Oak explained.

"That was reckless Hikari to jump off that cliff don't do it again!" Chloe yelled at her in anger.

"Seriously Hikari you could have gotten hurt!" Leaf yelled at her next.

"Hikari I thought you were going to be careful! I didn't want to see you get hurt!" Darrel shouted while he cried.

"We'll I'm happy your all right Hikari but next time don't try to pull that reckless stunt like that again." Goh said seriously.

Delia hold on to her adoptive daughter's shoulders.

"I was so scared when Pro. Oak called me of when he said that you got knocked out by something… Please don't ever scare me like that again sweetie…" Delia spoke to Hikari Dane was a little bit upset but relieved at the same time after what she had been through.

"Sorry… everybody…" Hikari apologize before she remembered about the camp.

"The Pokemon Camp… What happened…? asked Hikari, causing the Kanto Professor to give an apologetic look.

"I'm afraid that you sort of slept through the rest of the Pokemon Camp session… That fall must've been really shocking for you to be unconscious like this… You scared some kids too when they learned of what happened." Prof. Oak explained.

This caused Hikari to become upset.

"I didn't mean to scare anyone… I just wanted to do the right thing and be able to save the baby Kangaskan. Hikari explained sadly.

"And you did, sweetie…but at the same time, it was very risky choice that you have done." Delia said.

"Yeah, but what we have seen was the mystical pokemon Mew ended up saving you from the fall that was the highlight of the camp." Goh explained. This shocked Hikari.

"Mew saved me?!"

"A mystical pokemon that lives in the jungle… It is a very rare pokemon that some people had been trying to find… But due to his DNA being a lot similar to other pokemon's DNA, it's been said that is nearly impossible to try to catch or even find it…" Prof. Oak explained.

"Then I'll be the one to capture Mew that's going to be my new dream. The future is in the palm of my hand." Goh said.

"Oh boy." Chloe said in annoyance.

Which the others were shocked by Goh's announcement.

"Well Goh I wish you the best of luck on capturing Mew. It is a very tricky pokemon to capture." Prof. Oak explained to Goh.

"Don't worry Professor, I know I can catch Mew someday just you guys watch!" Goh said in excitement.

After that, Eevee, Darrel, Leaf, Goh, and Chloe became Hikari's best friends. Hikari would usually hang out with Leaf and Darrel all the time since they all lived in the same town. Goh and Chloe however could only visit on the weekends because they live in Vermilion City that's a couple of miles off from Pallet Town.

In the forest, weeks then months past since the baby Kangaskan was saved by Hikari. He and his brother Pichu had grown a bit, they weren't as small. Pichu started to notice her adoptive mother was breathing heavily for carrying both of them in her pouch. She looked very tired and was struggling to walk. Pichu decided to jump out of her pouch to help get rid of some of the strain. He didn't mind walking beside them if it means her adoptive mother to be alright. Mama Kangaskan noticed this and put Pichu back into her pouch.

"It's alright son, I'm alright I can handle this you and your brother just sit in my pouch and enjoy the ride." Mama Kangaskan said.

Pichu didn't think she was alright so he just sat in her pouch next to his brother.

That night Pichu escaped the cave and was at the entrance. He knew he had to leave them eventually since he was causing trouble for them due to her strain. She couldn't continue like this, it would cause her to damage her body and to get very sick. Pichu took one last look from his adoptive family.

"Thank you Mama and big brother for finding me and for taking care of me for months. It gives me a heavy heart that I must leave you since this would be for the best." Pichu began to cry, he was going too miss his adoptive family very much.

"I'll treasure the memories of the time we had together forever." Pichu waved to his adoptive family one last time before he started to glow white and blue. His body became bigger, his ears became narrower, and his tail became spiky. He looked at himself in a puddle to see himself as a different pokemon.

"What happened to me, how did I turn into this?" He said in worry. Then he remembered his brother once saying that when they got older they would evolve into a pokemon called Pikachu like their mother did years ago. He was happy that he evolved with a new body he can now travel further into the forest. Pikachu ran on all four's deep into the forest never to be seen again.

5 years later: Hikari woke up with Eevee to get ready to go to Professor Oak's lab to get her Pokédex so she can start on her journey. She looked the picture of her, Darrel, Leaf, Goh, and Chloe on their first year of summer camp. She smiled at the memory as she went downstairs for her journey to begin. What Hikari and Eevee don't know yet, but this will be the day Hikari will get a new pokemon best friend along with Eevee as the journey continues.

The next chapter will be about how Marcy meets Anne, her twin brother Andy, Sasha, and Ethan in Melmela Island in the Alola region and how they became friends.
