Justice had no second thought about the place where a new shipment of drugs was going to be. The old port was the only place, everybody in the zone knew it but they would never tell cops about it. Yes, shallow water and partly demolished docs and pier could make it harder for a ship to come in but the drug sellers knew what they were doing. They wouldn't drive a ship to the port, they would use little boats to carry all goods on the ground and after all this a ship would go to the regular port because it transported coffee as a main source of bargain.
Justice was there at the old port every night waiting for them to come. It was one of the dark nights when there was no moon or stars on the sky. Justice set on the roof of an old building half demolished by time and fire. Wind was getting stronger it smelled like rain in the air, perfect night to commit crimes. Justice saw a ship very far from shores almost on the edge of the horizon. Single little light was flashing from that ship but the old port was empty.
Sitting quietly Justice listened to the wind. Somewhere far she could hear roaring cars and horns it was a highway but nothing else. Night was getting colder and the ship didn't move but was keeping flashing signal on. Suddenly, some cars noises got separated from the highway flow and they were coming closer and closer to the old port.
"Here you are guys" – Justice thought and her heart was jumping in her chest like a rabbit.
Five cars pulled up on the pier. There were three black vans and two dark color crossovers. People got out from those two cars and put a big flash light on the broken edge of the pier.
Hurry up we are already late! Light it up!
Come on! Faster guys, fuck you'll so lazy!
People whispered to each other some cause words and names. They lit up the flash light couple times then stopped and repeated it twice. The ship on the horizon stopped flashing its light and went completely dark. In half an hour Justice could see the shape of the ship very close to the shores but still in deep waters.
Here they are. Boats! – people on the pier started to move around and open doors of the vans.
Justice saw two boats and when they were close to the pier people tossed bags out of them and went back to the ship. They repeated it path two times and on third time boats didn't come back.
Is that all? – asked one man to another.
I thought it supposed to be four rounds. Fuck. I should make a call, stay here and watch. All of you just be quite. – a man walked behind the corner and dial a phone.
He didn't see Justice in the dark until the very moment when she sliced his throat with a very sharp knife. The man went down fast and peaceful. Justice moved forward and looked from over the corner. People were walking back and forth some of them held guns. The vans doors were open and inside some goods were waiting to be chopped, mixed and sold.
Why are they taking a break? God damn it! – said a smoking guy next to the front of the van. – This place smell like gasoline. Oh fuck! No, what the fuck! Yo, guys!
One of the vans lit on fire like a match. Unexpectedly the whole pier went light and fire flames run up to the sky.
Get it out! Get the goods out!
You get them! This thing is going to blow off!
Shit! The van, that van!
One minute later the second van was holding fire inside. Goods were melting, people were running, screaming. Somebody tried to pull off one of the bags out but the first van made a squeaking sound and its hood came off with a big bang. Some people lay on the ground holding their hand over heads. The smart once got inside the crossovers and started to leave the pier. One crossover stopped and blocked the one behind it. It was shaking something definitely was going on inside of it some sort of fight.
Come on! Move! – a driver of the second crossover pressed the horn but his passenger saw what was wrong with the first car.
It's a White Shadow! Fuck my life! I'm out! – the passenger jumped out from the car and run to the direction of the dark alley.
Justice left the first car and it was the moment when the first bullet flew right next to her cape. The driver of the second car was shooting. She hid behind the car and run on the other side but it was shoot out over there as well. Now everyone who left was shooting at the car where Justice where hiding. The glass and pieces of metal flew on the ground; the tires of the car went down with hopping sound. Fire was lighting the shadows of men coming closer to the car with their guns pointed in one direction.
The shooting was going on and on but one by one the shooters where stopping and Justice thought: "they probably running out of bullets so they have to reload". One by one until she could hear someone's scream. This scream was insanely horrifying. The shooting was interrupted by it and the rest of the shooters were definitely confused. Justice realized they were shooting in the different direction and not at the car anymore. She glanced from the back corner of the car and she was right. Only three shooters left and all of them were pointing in that dark alley somebody was there.
Shadow, a dark shadow was creeping out on them but they couldn't see where it was. It was there. He was there.
It's the Batman! – screamed one shooter and fell on the ground.
