Distorted World
Time Immoral

"Has mother ever told you about Soul Reconstruction?" Venus asked Aeon while she was in the middle of a match; Filia and Squigly vs Eliza.

"I've heard her mention it before. Regretful to say I wasn't really paying too much attention. That was eons ago."

"I see."

"Why do you ask?"

"The Player has conceived it a bit early in this timeline."

"Oh?" Aeon continued motioning the analog around and tapping buttons for inputs.

"Nancy Renoir was able to make contact through her daughters bond with him and ever since he's been trying to reach her. He traced the connection back to her and reunited recently in their time."

"...Interesting." Pap! Pap! Pap! Aeon slapped the arcade stick buttons faster.

"Aside from the timeline where it was originally constructed, this is the only other instance he's brought it up."

"Come on! I blocked low!" Aeon groaned.

"And now he plans on using it to reconstruct Nancy first in some way. He hasn't hit that emotional peak as he did with the original. I doubt it'll be as powerful. This timeline is like a wild card in our hand."

"Originally, who was the original he reconstructed?" Aeon asked while continuing to play.

Before Venus could answer-

Boom! The Nexus gate detonates and a beam of light crashes into the ground before fizzling out to reveal Naya'il jumping up from a crouching stance retracting her wings into nothing and removing her halo with a circular motion from her index finger. Her landing was less graceful than her sisters.

Now that the final angel arrived Aeon paused the game to a "Just a moment!" audio cue. The celestial sisters stand and approach Naya'il.

"Oh, man! That was such a wild trip!" She was brimming with positive energy.

"Well, someone had fun," Aeon smiled seeing the youngest angel in high spirits.

"So much fun! I had a blast. There were so many people with cool powers Wish I could visit other omniverses."

"You seem to be empty handed," Venus noted. "Were you unable to find a candidate?"

Naya'il held out her arms and a white cloak landed in them. "She's here. I just fell from the gate faster than she did," she smiled innocently.

"Ah. Well... Nicely done," Venus' smile suggested she was unsure how to react to the randomness of the drop, but she found a candidate and that was all that mattered.

The cloak floats out of Naya'il's arms and over to the goddesses for them to scan.

Ryūko Matoi from the Kill la Kill Universe
Reality: Alternate Earth
Age: 17
Height: 5'3
Weight: 117lbs
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Navy Blue with Red Highlight

Ryūko Matoi is a vagrant youth on a mission to find her father's killer - a woman known to be in possession of one half a peculiar 'scissor blade,' the other half being in her own possession. She enrolled in Honnōji Academy in search of answers and uses her scissor blade to combat students equipped with special 'Goku Uniforms,' that grant them superhuman powers.

A lack of guidance and being bullied by others throughout her life, lead to Ryūko becoming a juvenile delinquent who constantly got into fights and even joined a gang.

"...What a lonely life," Aeon comments.

"Indeed. This one is a lot rougher than the others," Venus adds.

"The others?" Naya'il questioned before the realization hit her. "Wait! Kushiel and Amitiel beat me?!"

"Yes. They returned a little while back. Amitiel suspected you were off having fun," Aeon explained with a smile.

"...Well, yeah, I was. Still. I thought they would've kicked back and smelled the roses a little too."

"Amitiel did, but in a more literal sense," Aeon chuckled. "The candidate she brought back was covered in roses."

"Covered in roses?"

"Mhm. Apparently her cape produces them."

"Whoa. Sounds like she came from Ryūko's universe. The people there fight using clothes that give them really cool powers. Ryūko has a super neat uniform that makes her super tough. When we fought I was surprised by how strong she got once she synchronized with it."

Aeon and Venus pause and look at each other before turning their attention to Naya'il. "Synchronize?" They both question.

"Yeah. She gives blood to the uniform and calls it synchronizing. It's pretty cool."

"...Interesting," Aeon looked down to the cloak in intrigue.

"Very," Venus concurred. "We should keep a particular eye on this one, sister. I want to see how this 'synchronizing' works in comparison to the Player."

"Of course. But she's a very troubled young woman, I wonder how this'll affect her journey."

"Even if she doesn't become our Skullgirl we still have the other candidates. I'm more interested in her ability to synchronize, though from the sound of it the method is different."

The Crest of Fate appeared over the cloak and extracts the final thread from Ryūko's soul; a black fiber strand that, when inspected closely, had a unique wave of fluctuating red lines running along it

Naya'il examined the process in awe. "Cooool. Is there anything else I can do for you?"

"Not at the moment, but we'll let you know," Aeon replied.

"Keep your Nexus bracelet on you at all times," Venus said. "As a personal favor to me, I may need you to revisit that omniverse. These special uniforms have my interest piqued, it may be within our interest to keep tabs on it for future reference," she turned to her sister for mutual consent.

"Agreed," Aeon nods.

"Huh," Naya'il looked down to the bracelet curiously but ended up smiling in glee. "No problem. I'd love to visit that place again. Maybe I could fight that 'Satsuki' girl I kept hearing about."

The dark matter created the tunnel between realms and dropped Ryūko into the spiral.

Venus was in possession of Ryūko's thread and examines it. "You may return to your sisters. Thank you for your contribution to our little project," she creates a hole in space and makes the doorway to Eden.

"No problem! Happy to be of service to the almighty Trinity," Naya'il makes sign of the cross on herself a lot more casually than her sisters, to the point where she forgot to bow, but Aeon and Venus didn't seem to mind as they just smile back at her.

Naya'il turns to the gateway and jogs through, hurrying home to tell her sisters about her adventures.

Aeon watched Naya'il off with a chuckle. "She's adorable."

"You may be a shut in, sister, but you've always had a soft spot for kids. You plan on having one eventually?"

"N-No! I don't think I'd be able to... You know."

That mischievous smile Venus tends to be known for surfaced. "Oh, dear, sweet pure sister. It's a simple task that I'm sure you'll grow fond of. If you want, I could always show you how to-"

"No! I mean literally," Aeon held out her arms in address to her literal hourglass figure.

"Oh. Of course."

"Besides, even with...that, I doubt the father would survive."

"...I bet the Player would," Venus challenged with a hint of personal interest.

"Your drive scares me sometimes, sister."

Venus giggled devilishly. "More importantly, we've finally gotten them all," she redirects her attention to Ryūko's thread.

"Yes. It's almost time for us to see the outcome of this project," Aeon summoned forth Gwen and Ruby's Crests of Fate in each hand and examined them. "We should hide their threads so mother doesn't know."

"Good idea."

Aeon and Venus walk across their 'room' and pass the TV to find a good spot to hide the new threads, when they leave a notification on the screen popped up: An update is available for Skullgirls: 2nd Encore
