House of Daughters:

Aaron looked worriedly at the unconscious KT. Aaron ran toward KT, Alfie ran from the kitchen toward Aaron and KT.

"KT can you hear me? Say something", said Aaron.

"Where am I?" asked KT, slowly regaining her consciences

"You're in the living room," said Aaron

"What happened?" Asked KT.

"I don't know. Did you fall?" Asked Aaron.

KT had a frightened look in her eyes and hugged Aaron. Eddie came into the living room and looked at Alfie, who shrugged his shoulders

At the same time, Nina, Amber and Patricia came running back into the house.

"How could the person be gone so fast?" Asked Amber.

"They couldn't, no one is that fast," said Nina.

"A athlete Mick," said Amber.

"Mick is not our mysterious helper," said Nina.

"Why not?" Asked Amber.

"He doesn't know about the mystery," said Nina.

"And he's in Australia," said Patricia.

"Oh, yeah," said Amber.

Aaron, Alfie and Eddie came walking out of the living room with KT.

"KT?" Asked Nina.

"No, she would just tell us," said Amber.

Amber turned around and saw KT standing behind her.

"KT what happened?" Asked Amber.

"We'll take her upstairs first, we'll talk about it in a minute," said Aaron.

"No wait, I'd rather tell you right now," said KT.

"What is it?" Asked Patricia.

"I was reading on the internet about Ankhesenamun and then a text appeared on the screen and it said that the order of Ankhesenamun will destroy the Frobisher-Smythe family," said KT.

"But the Frobisher-Smythe family is..., you're part of it," said Amber.

"And that's not all I saw on the computer screen," said KT.

"What else did you see?" Asked Nina.

"After the text disappeared, I saw the cobra," said KT.

The club was shocked to hear KT's story and the club didn't realize they were being watched by a mysterious person.

A few moments later the club was in Nina and Amber's room.

"Now that we have the spider we can move on to the next task," said Nina.

"Shouldn't we be trying to find out who our mysterious helper is?" Asked Amber.

"No, the task is our first priority right now," said Nina.

"How are we going to do that?" Asked Alfie.

"There's something written on the spider," said Patricia.

To pass beyond the weavers throne, lay her daughters in their home, move with care through her poisoned loom, the scarlet thread may spell your doom.

"Which daughters are we talking about?" Asked Patricia.

"The spider's daughters," said Nina.

"And where are we going to find them?" Asked Eddie.

"I think I know where they might are," said Nina.

Nina managed to get the big spider open and three smaller spiders fell out.

"I think those are the daughters," said Nina.

"Look, they've all got little colors on their backs too," said Amber.

"Red, yellow and silver," said Alfie.

"Those are also the colors of the threads," said Aaron.

"And of the hooks," said Nina.

"And that big spider has to go in the one hole," said Eddie.

"So we've to find our way through the threads and place the spiders," said Alfie.

"But of course, that's not going to be easy," said Patricia.

"We'll figure something out. We're gonna pass this task," said Nina.

"Sibuna, said Amber, while she did the Sibuna gesture.

"Sibuna," said the rest of club while the did the Sibuna gesture.

The next day and the Anubis residents had already been at school for a few hours. Nina and KT were standing by their lockers. Nina had just told KT about how the mystery helper had given the club the spider.

"And none of you saw the mysterious helper?" Asked KT.

"Nope," said Nina.

"Do you have any idea who it might be?" asked KT.

"No," said Nina.

"Well that mysterious helper is a lot more of a help then I'm," said KT.

"What do you mean, KT?" Asked Nina.

"I just feel so useless, I can't help with the tasks and I know almost nothing about the mystery, that has a connection with my great-grandfather," said KT.

"But you just figured out that Robert Frobisher-Smythe is your great-grandfather and about the mystery," said Nina.

"And now this thing with the order that is after my family," said KT.

"You know we'll protect you," said Nina.

"I know, and Aaron takes that job very seriously," said KT.

"What do you mean?" Asked Nina.

"This morning he thought it might not be such a good idea for me to go to school and he is texting me every other hour," said KT.

"He is your boyfriend and he just wants you to be safe," said Nina.

"I get that, but this also makes me feel helpless," said KT.

"You wanna skip this last hour?" Asked Nina.

"Why?" Asked KT.

"I've to do something that will help us on the next task and I could use some help," said Nina.

"Is that why you're carrying the big bag?" Asked KT.

"Yeah," said Nina.

"Okay, I'll help you," said KT.

Nina picked up the bag from the floor and left the school building with KT.

In the meantime, the rest of the Anubis residents were in class and the club quickly noticed that Nina and KT were not there. Suddenly all the club members got a text message.

After school, come to the abandoned building where we also trained for the first task and wear sports clothes, Nina.

"It's from Nina," said Aaron.

"But why does she want us to go there?" Asked Eddie.

"I don't know, but I'm sure there's a good reason," said Patricia.

An hour later and school was over. And while the club was on its way to the abandoned building in the woods, Mara, Jerome and Otis were busy bringing the stuff from the auction back to school.

"This is going to take forever," said Jerome.

"We've no choice, Victor wants this stuff out of the house," said Mara.

"Then we'll just hide a few things in the rooms and one day before the auction we'll take it all back," said Otis.

"Good idea, because here at school we're running out of space," said Jerome.

"Why does our caretaker have to be such a drag?" Asked Otis.

"Let's not complain so much, because we've a lot more to do," said Mara.

Jerome and Otis didn't look happy and sighed deeply and went back to moving the stuff from the auction.

A few moments later the club arrived at the abandoned building in the woods, when they arrived the room was full of threads.

"What's all this?" Asked Eddie.

"This is the task," said Nina.

"The task? Asked Amber.

"Not the real task of course, but this way we can practice," said Nina.

"Just like we did with the circles?" Asked Aaron.

"Exactly," said Nina.

"How did you manage to do this?" Asked Alfie.

"I had help," said Nina.

"From who?" Asked Aaron.

"From me," said KT, as she came walking up.

"KT, what are you doing here?" Asked Aaron.

"Nina asked me to help her and I was happy to," said KT.

"Is it really a good idea that you're here?" Asked Aaron.

"Aaron, please, don't worry so much," said KT.

"Can you blame me? I've very good reason to be worried about you," said Aaron.

"I'm fine," said KT.

"Okay, how do we do this?" Asked Eddie.

"The task is that we hang spiders in the right place and if we succeed we get the artifact," said Nina.

"But then why do we've to practice?" Asked Eddie.

"We've to do this right, We've to do this without touching those threads, because I don't think that's what we're supposed to do," said Nina.

"What's your plan with this?" Asked Eddie.

"We're going to go through here one by one, we're going to see who can walk through here the fastest and as well as possible without touching the threads," said Nina.

"And then what?" Asked Patricia.

"The four with the best time are going to do the task," said Nina.

"Sounds like a good plan," said Amber.

"KT keeps track of time and for every thread you touch you get 5 seconds penalty points," said Nina.

"Then let's not waste any more time and get started," said Aaron.

One by one the club members went through the web of wires while KT timed each club member. The club still had quite a bit of trouble getting through the threads. After a few hours of practice, the club stopped.

"And who got the fastest time?" Asked Eddie.

"Aaron had the best time," said KT.

"So then Aaron is one of our spider walker," said Nina.

"But we need three more," said Aaron.

"And Eddie, Patricia and Nina had the other best times," said KT.

"So then the four of us will do the task," said Nina.

"I guess that's for the best," said Patricia.

"And between me and Amber, which one of us had the worst time?" Asked Alfie.

"I don't know if I should start saying that," said KT.

"Just say it," said Alfie.

"Amber was the one with the worst time, sorry, Amber," said KT.

"That's okay," said Amber.

"Guys, let's go home or we'll be late for dinner," said Nina.

The club packed up their things and left the building and headed back towards the house.

A few moments later. By now the club had come home and Mason was busy making dinner, Nina walked into the kitchen.

"That looks delicious," said Nina.

"Thank you," said Mason.

"Maybe I can help you with something?" Asked Nina.

"Well if you could maybe cut the baguette," said Mason.

"No problem at all," said Nina, as she took the baguette out of the bag and began to slice it.

"Is everything all right with you?" Asked Mason.

"Yes, I'm fine," said Nina. "Why do you ask?"

"Well, you and KT disappeared during school," said Nina.

"Yeah, KT wasn't feeling well and she asked if I come with her," lied Nina.

"So what was wrong with KT?" Asked Mason.

"Nothing serious, she's fine now," said Nina.

"What do you think?" Asked Mason, showing Nina a bowl a tomato soup with her name written in Alphabet pasta

"Looks nice," said Nina.

"Thanks," said Mason.

"Bread is ready," said Nina.

"Good, then we can eat in a minute," said Mason.

"Is there anything else I can do for you?" Asked Nina.

"Setting the table," said Mason.

"Sure thing," said Nina.

Nina and Mason walked into the living room and started setting the table.

"There is something missing," said Mason.

"What is it?" Asked Nina.

"Leaves of basil and they're in the garden, so if you could just walk with me and grab some leaves with me, that would be really nice," said Mason.

Nina walked Mason to the garden. And while there was no one in the living room, one person came in and walked over to the table. The person grabbed a bottle and put some fluid in KT's soup and then quickly walked away.

A few minutes later, all the residents were at the table for dinner.

"So our names in the soup, how old do you think we are 5," teased Jerome.

"Jerome, don't be rude. It looks nice, Mason," said Mara.

"Thank you for saying that Mara," said Mason.

"The soup's really good," said Otis.

"It's my mother's recipe," said Mason.

The residents continued to eat the soup. At one point, KT took a spoon, with some of the fluid and didn't feel so good afterwards.

"Are you all right?" Asked Aaron.

"I don't feel so good," said KT.

"What is wrong?" Asked Aaron.

"I don't know. It's..," said KT.

But before KT could finish her sentence she started collapsing, but luckily Aaron was able to catch her just in time, the rest of the residents gathered around KT's chair.

"KT," said Aaron.

"Is she okay?" Asked Amber.

"Guys, give her some space," said Mara.

What? What's going on?" Asked KT.

You started collapsing," said Aaron.

"Did I?" asked KT.

"Yes, you did," said Alfie.

"Come on, I'll take you upstairs and bring you to your room," said Aaron.

Aaron helped KT up and walked her upstairs and took her to her room.

A few moments later, Amber entered the living room and saw that Patricia, Alfie and Eddie were also there.

"Where is Nina? Asked Patricia.

"She's in our room on the phone with Fabian's mother, said Amber.

"And Aaron? Asked Alfie.

"Staying with KT," said Amber.

"Then we'll have to do it without them," said Eddie.

"What?" Asked Alfie.

"The task," said Eddie

"You want to the task right now?" Asked Amber.

"Yes," said Eddie.

"But Aaron's our best spider walker," said Amber.

"Then we'll do it without him. There's four of us now and Victor's gone, so we have the perfect opportunity," said Eddie.

Eddie walked towards the door of the cellar and Amber, Patricia and Alfie were hesitant but eventually followed Eddie down the cellar.

A few minutes later. Nina finished her phone conversation with Fabian's mother and walked out of her room and ran into Aaron in the hallway.

"Hey, is everything okay?" Asked Aaron.

"Just got off the phone with Fabian's mom," said Nina.

"How is she?" Asked Aaron.

"She's still having a really hard time dealing with Fabian's passing," said Nina.

"That's totally understandable," said Aaron.

"How's KT?" Asked Nina.

"She's resting," said Aaron.

"Do you know where the others are?" Asked Nina.

"I think in the living room," said Aaron.

Nina and Aaron walked downstairs and went into the living room and the two were surprised that no one was there.

"Where are they?" Asked Nina.

"No idea," said Aaron.

"Where's Victor?" Asked Nina.

"He went out for a while," said Aaron.

"You don't think?" Asked Nina.

"Oh, no," said Aaron.

"Do you have amulet?" Asked Nina.

"Yes," said Aaron.

"Let's hurry," said Nina.

Nina and Aaron ran towards the kitchen, Nina opened the secret passageway and she and Aaron went in.

In the meantime, the rest of the club were in the tunnels and busy doing the task.

"Alfie you've almost reached the hook," said Eddie.

"What will happen if we touch one of those threads?" Asked Amber.

"No idea, but it won't be good," said Patricia.

"Let's not focus on that now, Alfie just a few more steps," said Eddie.

Alfie moved his way through the threads, but accidentally touched one of the silver threads,

"Ouch," said Alfie.

"What is it?" Asked Amber.

"It felt like I've been bitten," said Alfie.

"Alfie focus," said Eddie.

Alfie took a deep breath and continued, but this time he hit a yellow thread and at began to panic.

"Stop leave me alone!" Yelled Alfie.

"Alfie are you okay?" Asked Patricia.

"No, don't hurt me!" Yelled Alfie.

"Alfie!" Shouted Amber.

Alfie began to panic more and more and he kept bumping into silver and yellow threads and he came close to touching a red thread.

What's the matter with Alfie? What is the effect of the wires? And will everything be all right with Alfie?
