Author's Note : Thank you for the support my readers. The Lucas feeback is coming. I'm prepared. Stay tuned.

It's everything you wanted.

And everything you don't.

One door swinging open.

One door swinging closed.

Karen awoke slowly. Her body aching as her vision went from blurry to clear. Her throat dry. She looked around at the room and the strong aroma of cleaning products. When she looked down at herself. She wasn't wearing her clothes. Instead she was wearing a hospital gown.

She sighed deeply. Having lost all track of time.

"We almost lost you." A voice announced. Removing the curtain. And entering the hospital room.

"I'm so relieved i found her when i did. My wife. I wouldn't know what to do without her." Dan proclaimed.

"According to what you're husband told us when he brought you in. He found you beaten and not responding to anything. Thankfully you'll make a full recovery. Nothing was broken." The doctor explained.

"Don't worry. I won't leave her side." Dan stated matter of fact.

...

While Tabitha was in the living room. Having some donuts for breakfast.

Brooke's gaze focused on Lucas.

"Where did Karen go.? Why did she leave Tabbie here.?" Brooke asked.

"I really don't want to get into this. Thank you for breakfast and sticking around for longer then you needed too."

"You really should go. You have a store waiting to be opened." Lucas insisted.

"Hey will you stop it. Something is clearly going on here. And weighing on you. I'm just trying to be here for you. Help. Support you." Brooke stated matter of fact.

"I don't need you're help. This is my family. You want to fix something examine and look into why you can never make a relationship work longer then a few months."

"That should keep you busy." Lucas snapped.

Brooke's eyes went wide. A hurt expression went across her face.

She put on a smile and walked over to where Tabitha was seated in the living room.

She said a quick goodbye and reminded the girl that she was only a phone call or text away.

"I'll get out of you're way. If you need me. You know how to reach me." Brooke said. Before leaving the home.
