Chapter Seven

Emmett's fight in Las Vegas went well. He won his bout and afterward, he dragged Bella to the casino to break her from her funk. They spent the rest of the night playing blackjack. Emmett lost it all, while Bella tripled her initial bet. Bella also got completely shit-faced, blabbing to Emmett what she saw in Jacob's room.

Despite Bella putting on a brave front, she was hurting inside, and it made Emmett very angry that his friend had been betrayed in such a manner.

It didn't make matters any better that Jacob was sitting outside of Bella's room upon their return from the casino, holding a bouquet of roses. Bella hated roses. They made her sneeze. He tried to apologize, but Bella took the flowers, hitting Jacob with them and disappearing into her suite.

Standing in the middle of a pile of flower petals, Jacob looked at Emmett. "I was trying to apologize," he huffed.

"Dude, you've been fucking other women. Many, many women. You've been stealing from Charlie. You've been living the high life and you're not there yet," Emmett said. "This …" he gestured to the mess around Jacob, "… is you getting off easy. I'd be paranoid for when you see Charlie. Your balls will be detached from your body, swimming with the fishes. Good luck, Jacob." He gave him a sarcastic little smile, hitting his shoulder as he went back down the hallway to his room.

Jacob was flummoxed, desperate to win back his girl, but realizing that it could possibly never happen.

The next morning, Emmett, and Bella, along with Jared and a few other Bull Dog employees, got into the car to head back to the airport. Jacob was noticeably absent. Sam Uley, Jacob's coach, was also gone. Jared, who had roomed with Sam, explained that they'd left earlier, presumably to get back to Seattle and spin the situation in their favor. Bella sent a text to her father, telling him about what she found with Jacob.

Suffice to say, Charlie 'Bull Dog' Swan earned his nickname when he called his daughter. He spitting mad as he flipped through the photos she'd sent him, with evidence of the drugs, cheating and stealing. Jacob Black was going to be in for a world of hurt, if Charlie decides to keep him as a client.

Several hours later, they arrived back in Seattle. Bella drove to the gym to drop off paperwork and such in her office. Her father's voice was filling the gym as he read Jacob the riot act. Bella smirked, happy that her father backed her up. She checked her email, verifying a few appointments and clearing her afternoon to do some sparring with her friends to work off some anger.

Hells Bells, a little birdie said that you kicked the wolf in the nuts. You want drinks? Alice and I are here for you Hells Bells. ~ Rose

He can't keep a secret. So, drinks? ~ Rose

I'm still drying out from drinking with your husband. Tomorrow? ~ Bella

Sounds good. I'll see you tomorrow. I have to massage Emmett's back and calves … whiny baby ~ Rose

Love back, Hells Bells! ~ Rose

She slid her phone back into her pocket and saw Jacob darkening her doorway. "Dude, I think the drugs fucked up your brain," Bella snapped. "What the hell?"

"I'm sorry, Bella," he whispered. "I … I want another chance."

"Another chance? Your dick was inside other women. Another chance? You tested positive for drugs. Another chance? You stole from Bull Dog. You want another chance? ANOTHER CHANCE? No. You're not worthy of another chance. You're not worthy of a whole hell of a lot. Most of all, you're not worthy of me," she said definitively. "You've made your bed. Now, you have to lie in it. Did you see all your crap in the locker room?"

"My clothes are ruined, covered in bleach," Jacob snarled.

"Sorry, but not sorry. The guys here are loyal to me. Perhaps Sam can let you sleep on his couch," Bella huffed, closing her laptop, and slinging her purse over her shoulder. "Now, I'm going home after I get my new keys from my dad."

"That's why my key wouldn't work," Jacob grumped.

"I told you to not come home. It's no longer your home. And, you won't be getting the new one. Jacob, you hurt me more than words can describe. I loved you so much, but you've taken that love and threw it into my face. I've lost all trust in you because of your choices. I think it would be best if you give me some space," she said, arching a brow at her ex. "I'm taking some time to focus on the business side of the gym and I'm doing it at home. I'm certain that my father gave you an ultimatum if you want to continue fighting for Bull Dog, right?"

Jacob's jaw ticked, angry that Charlie had done that. "Rehab for at least a month and going to Narc Anon for ninety days before I can return to training. I'm being kicked back down to amateur fights when I'm done with that, and I have to pay back all the money I'd 'stolen.' Your dad was a bit more understanding, giving me until the end of the year to pay the gym back. After that, the interest will kick my ass."

"You should have thought of that," Bella shrugged. She pushed past Jacob, picking up the key from her father's office and walking to the parking lot where she'd left her car while she was in Vegas. Jacob was following her. She shot him a glare, which made him back off and go back into the gym. Bella got into her black Audi A7, driving to her waterfront home on Mercer Island. She put her luggage in the laundry room before padding to her bedroom, stopping by the fridge to get some wine. She smirked when she saw her fridge fully stocked with all her favorite comfort foods.

"Thanks, Dad," she chuckled. She poured herself a glass of wine. She changed into a bikini and went outside to her jacuzzi. Flipping on the twinkle lights and turning on the jets, she eased into the hot water. She let the water ease her muscles and the alcohol soothe her soul.

A/N: A little shorter chapter … apologies for that. But, I wanted to have a separate chapter for girls' night, introducing Alice and Rose properly. Anyhow, pictures are on my blog. The link for that is on my profile. I'm also on FB: Tufano79's Twilight Fanfiction Appreciation. Twitter, too: tufano79.

As a side note … the pictures of Bella's hot tub … I want one. Like, now!
