Danmachi - Silverclad Paladin

A fan-fiction rewrite of Danmachi, telling the story of if the person Bell fell in love was the Dea Saint of the Dianchect familia. Plot progress somewhat similar to the original novel, with some minor yet with some hopefully interesting changes. Disclaimer: I do not of Danmachi, nor any of its characters, and I do not plan to make any money out of this project.

9. Author Notes -extended

So I saw some review that ask if Bell is interested in both Aiz and Airmid, the answer to that is no. If you look at it, Bell is mad because he has been humiliated, not just because it was in front of Aiz, it is simply that he was so throughly humiliated that he is mad, but he can't deny it, so for now he fan only run. He runs, so that he won't have to run in the future.

I used Aiz as a comparison here, like you should know, she and Airmid possess somewhat similar social statuses, and both are considered geniuses in their own way. So Bell's thought process js literally like "That animal person is right, I am too weak, too insignificant. Be it the Sword Princess, be it the Dea Saint, there is no way I can stand to next to someone with their status as how I am now."

This is pretty much how I can explain things without really giving spoilers, after all I assume everyone would be pretty mad if they were to be humiliated in front of a lot people, even if they aren't doing it directly? Let's also mention that the Bell here is 14 yrs old, so he will be more easily influenced from people's opinions of him.

Lastly, it isn't directly that Bell wants to get stronger, he just wants to have a 'status' enough to be next to the Dea Saint, but he doesn't read a lot of books, other than fairy tales, he had no experience forging, no sense of how money works in orario, he might actually only know how to do farming, and fighting.

Not to mention that adventurers are definitely more famous than farmers, Bell also came to Orario to seek adventures, seek encounters, not to be the same as how he was back in his village, same weak bell cranel who let his grandfather die. So he will be an adventurer, he will grow stronger, he will attain status, both physically, and socially.

As for how long will all these take? It all depends on his feelings, depends on how bright they burn in his heart. So in order to be with the person he admires as soon as possible, he must grow up fast.

In terms of Aiz's feelings to Bell, she doesn't love him, well for now at least. You know how she felt guilty in the original story? Yeah I guess triple that guilt here. ( not a harem I promise)

Also, please don't feel Bete, the compensation money came out of his wallet, and he is drunk here
