Anastasia (Part 3)
*Rebel Stronghold*
"Thanks to that snow-moving vehicle you have, Tails, we brought more meat than ever we could. And we couldn't thank you more. This area stopped receiving food from the capital a while ago. That is why these Yaga had no choice but to revolt. It was the only choice if they wished to survive, with the number of rebel armies increasing faster than ever. There are more mouths to feed now. We have no right to turn anyone away, after all." Atalante Alter said
"Mothers, fathers, children, and more are essential to the rebel army. In their many ways, I'm guessing." Sonic said
"That is correct, Sonic. We used to have a Storehouse we used to store food in there that was destroyed by those enemy robots. Many who witnessed the attack said they were looking for you, Sonic. They are you who the robots are currently looking for." Atalante Alter explained
"No suprise there. Of course, it had to be Egghead's stupid machines currently hunting for me. But it's been some time, and they have yet to locate me, so I'm not bothered by it. Also, do you have other ideas to help your rebel army with food?" Sonic asks
"Your way of getting food for the rebel army is fundamental, Sonic. But we have no choice but to steal food from the pro-Tsar city of Yaga Smolensk." Atalante Replied
"You...you want to steal food...!?"
"And from my town...!?"
Atalante, I understand that you must do all it takes to bring your people food. However, if you are thinking of a way to grab food, it involves doing something atrocious. Consider Tails and I out of that mission. I will find alternative ways to settle things here. Besides, Tails has modern technology that can help detect more Beast for us to bring for you guys." Sonic replied
"..."
"I'll stand by Master's side. What you're doing is highly wrong and distasteful. I trust Master and his friend more than you anyone of you. They have many ways to solve a problem that doesn't have to end in disaster." Mash said
"That goes for me as well, Atalante. Sonic is still My Master at the end of the day, and I will respect his ideas more than anyone else." Avicebron said
"No. I understand. You aren't a dumb human, and you know what you are talking about. You don't need my orders to do what is done." Atalante Alter replied
"I hope you can understand. Come on, everyone, let's go hunt for Demonic Beast to bring back the rebel army. I'm dying to take down beasts anyway!" Sonic said
Atalante Alter and the soldiers watch as Sonic, Tails, Mash, and Avicebron walk out of the tent and head towards X-Tornado snowmobile to "Take Down Deominc Beasts."
"Sonic, Ummm... I don't want to alarm you, but I couldn't detect any of those beasts while we made our way here. Now, everyone thinks of you as some rebel army traitors and won't forgive you unless you bring large quantities of meat." Tails said
"No need to worry, Tails. Remember what I did back at the first village we stopped by? Well, the mayor introduced himself to me after he heard about me giving out food to the villagers and told me that whenever you are interested, you are always welcome to return and grab the amount of meat you wish." Sonic replied
"*Surprises But Smiles Soon After* That Pro-Ivan village? Did they allow you that?" Mash confuse
"I don't want to talk about that. I rather see it as a village. They don't know that we are here to take down Ivan in the end. That's our next location. Come on, Tails! Let's get going!" Sonic said
"R-Right, Sonic!"
*Back At the First Village, A Few Hours Later*
The X-Tornado Snow Mobile eventually makes its way toward the first village that the group stopped by the very first time. Things seem to go well for the group... until suddenly. They noticed the city in flames, with gunshots echoing through the sky, people yelling, and children crying. Everyone was shocked by the scene as Tails slammed onto the pedal and began to drive toward the city as fast as he could. Eventually, the group made it there as they quickly noticed G.U.N. Soldiers and Badnicks shooting at one another with dead Yagas all lying down on the snow with blood-covered snow underneath them. Mothers, Fathers, Children, and the elderly die from the chaos inside the village.
"W-What's going on here?!" Mash shock
"G-G.U.N. Soldiers and Eggman's robots are having an all-out war inside this city! They must have arrived here simultaneously and used this place as a battlefield!" Tails shouted
"M-Mom! *Rushes Towards The Door And Attempts To Open* Hey! Fox, open this damn thing! I don't have time for playing around!" Patxi shouted
"U-Uhhh! Sure thing, Patxi! *Opens The Door For Paxti As he Rushes Out Of The Vehicle And Into the Village Where A Out War Was Going On* S-Sonic?! What are we going to do?" Tails worried
"All we can do is fight against the Badnicks and push back the G.U.N. soldiers. Mash and Tails, you two stay inside here. Avicebron, get ready to enter this fight. Summon a few Golems and the Soldiers out of this place. I'll take care of the Badnicks!" Sonic said
"Understood, Master. A few Golems are coming right up for you. *Snaps Finger As A Fe Golwms Appear In Front Of The Snow Mobile* Let us begin, Master." Avicebron replied
*Capital*
"Hey there, princess, have you gotten that little blue creature called Sonic yet? Has he been able to take down that Tsar and fat bastard yet?" Caenis said
"No, and he will never will. He is a weak animal who knows nothing but to ruin those who made me who I was today." Grand Duchess replied
"Good. Suppose your king managed to lose to some rodent by himself. I'm taking you, and this is the whole land down first!" Caenis said
"No need to be so aggressive, Caenis. We're all here to take down that Rodent known as Sonic The Hedgehog. Do you believe he could manage to take down such powerful like you two alone?" Dr. Eggman said
"Heh! A dumbass like you were humiliated by him several times in the past before. Those stories made me laugh my ass off because they were ridiculous!" Caenis replied
"Grrrr! If you are here to see this dumb tree. Then nothing happened! go back where you came from and wait for Sonic! He probably won't even make it that far!" Dr. Eggman said
"You want that bastard dead, don't you? Man, I feel almost sorry for you. How about I go and take care of him quickly and easily? What can go wrong?" Caenis asks
"I'll be the one to kill him. This is my land, and I'll do want I want to do. That's final." Grand Duchess replied
"Hmph. You are confident in defeating that Rodent. Alright, I see you. You're right—Russia I.S., your game board, after all. If you pull it off, maybe I'll join you for your little tea party. *Walking Away." Caenis said
"What an obnoxious Servant." Grand Duchess said
With Sonic and Avicebron, it was an intense war between both G.U.N. soldiers and the Badnicks as the two sides were desperately trying to take one down. Many Badnicks were destroyed, and many Soldiers were killed during the shootout, but the ones who suffered the most casualties were the Yagas, who happened to be in the crossfire between the two enemies. Sonic did everything in his strength to take down the Badnicks while summoning a couple of Servants. At the same time, Avicebron used his Golems to distract the G.U.N. soldiers and eventually push them away from the field. The battle was intense for several minutes, and no side was eager to go back until the Golems were too much to be destroyed as both Badnicks and G.U.N. soldiers were officially returned from the war. Eventually, the safe route came after a complete disaster of trying to obtain food. The group returned to the hideout, where Avicebron explained everything to Atalante Alter. She sent out Yagas to that location to receive the food left behind to feed the yagas in the Rebel Army. However, it was suitable for the Yagas to obtain meat. Sonic wasn't himself as he still has thoughts of that battle and seeing many innocent Yaga lives be torn apart for something they had nothing to do. Avicebron talked to Sonic about how everything would be alright, and none of this wasn't his fault as he attempted to save as many Yagas as possible from the intense battle.
*Sometime Later*
"*Looking At Sonic From A Distance* Poor, Master, I wish I could do something to him that can cheer him up. But I have nothing." Mash Sad
"It's okay, Mash. He isn't mad at you. He needs a little time to himself. He'll soon be smiling once again before you know it!" Tails said
"Give him some alone time. He needs a breather after what happened right now." Aviceron said
"*Looking Out Of The Distance, Arms Folded While Clearing His Mind* What was supposed to be something that could've been avoided. Turn even deadlier than I ever could imagine. Nothing like this has ever happened during my trip to the Singaulrities before. Not one. Why, why now?" Sonic said to himself
"*Slowly Walking Towards Sonic* Hey, Sonic, mind if I say something?" Atalante Alter asks
"Sure, Atalante, what is it?" Sonic replied
"I understood what you were trying to do when you were heading your way to that village without asking us. You wanted to do things the easy way but instead suffered the consequences. Understand this when I'm saying this. This was bound to happen. There was no way both of us couldn't avoid it. I know how much that hurts you to hear that, but what else can we do? Trust me; you are still a hero in everyone's eyes. Don't think we see you as some worthless being not doing your job. You fought over there trying to protect those Yagas as much as possible, and that's all it matters. Don't just let one adventure affect you from your previous experiences. Where's that smile you always had when you talked with Mash, Tails, and Avicebron? I hate it when you don't smile. You know that.'" Atalante Alter said
"*Slowly Looks Up at Atalante Alter* Atalante..."
"Your team still cares about you, Sonic. They still trust you a lot! They want their team leader to smile and lead the way towards a better future. And I want to see you all smile when that day comes. Including you, Sonic The Hedgehog!" Atalante Alter said
"*Slowly Begins To Smile* Yeah. You're right, Alter. I can't let just one incident be a burden to me. I still need to continue and continue the fight for a better cause! There's no time for being sad. Some serious things need to be settled. No matter what happens! I'll be there to stop it, No matter what! Thanks, Atalante!" Sonic said
"Yeah, Sonic, we still trust you with everything here! All of us are thankful for bringing us food so that mom, dad, and I can eat! You are the greatest Superhero to me! *Hugs Sonic Tightly*." Yaga (Child) said
"Hehe! *Rubs The Child's Head* Thanks, kid. Glad you still see me as someone you can trust. I promise to protect you and your family at all costs. No matter what." Sonic replied
"Now then, since you are smiling again. There's something I must inquire you to do for me." Atalante Alter said
"Sure, what is it?" Sonic asks
*Tula Yaga, Later That Night*
"*Shooting The Mysertius being* Stay away from me!" A Male G.U.N Soldier shouted
"Fear me. My shriek shall shatter your eardrums, and my claws shall slice the very darkness itself! I shall execute you all and see that your sins are punished! There is no refuge for evil in this world! *Slashes The G.U.N Soidler In Two Pieces As Blood Spews Out Of The Body* Another wrong made right. Repent for your misdeeds, and rest in peace. Death is the closest you will come to salvation." Amadeus Altar said
"There he is! Fire!" A Female G.U.N. Soldier shouted
"*Notices The group Of G.U.N. Soldiers And Disappears*."
"What the?! He's gone! W-Where did he go?!"
Amadeus Alter suddenly appears behind the G.U.N Soidlers as he quickly slashes them in one attack, cutting them all in half and their bodies falling onto the ground, blood spewing out of them.
"When will you humans ever learn? I don't sense anyone of you ever playing the Piano. Why... Why is there no music to be found here? Why does no one even attempt to open their mind and lend an ear to the arts? To the poetry of sound? To the whispers of the heavens?" Amadeus Alter said
*Someplace Else*
"*Driving Through The Blizzard Night* Sonic, are you alright after what happened earlier today?" Tails ask
"Yea, Senpai, I haven't seen you so disappointed. Are you sure you are alright?" Mash said
"Don't worry about me, Mash. I just wasn't myself that time. However, thanks to some talk, I'm feeling better than before. As your Master, I should be the one with a solid heart to continue the fight. Don't worry, Mash, I'll be alright." Sonic replied
"*Smiles* That's nice to hear, Master! Glad to see you happy once more. I wish I could help you now, but I'm trying to understand the new features that Edison implemented in my shield. Eventually, I will return and help you out, Senpai!" Mash said
"Hehe!"
"A nice little talk brings others' heads back up. And it's always the best case scenario." Avicebron said
"So, Sonic, what is the next mission that Atalnate Alter told us to do?" Tails ask
"Look for a mysterious Servant that has been going around and causing damage. This is an entirely normal occurrence for me, so all we have to do is locate the Servant. Fight and take him don as much as we can. It's the only option we have here." Sonic replied
"I stand with that Master. It's the best option we have here. But don't worry, no matter the opponent. We will take them down." Avicebron said
"And I have a feeling it's someone we know. But who can that be?" Sonic questions
*Yaga Tula*
"*Walking Through The Village With Avicebron Only As Tails And Mash Stayed Back At The Snow Mohile* Hmmm... It's too quiet here. Too quiet." Sonic said
"It appears so. However, I am detecting something towards us very quickly." Avicebron said
"*Appears Out Of Nowhere* Well, well. If it isn't the one they call himself, Sonic The Hedgehog. You aren't allowed to be here. Don't worry. I'll let you escape at my hands." Amadeus Alter said
"Well, well, well, if it isn't Amadeus. I suppose you dressed for the occasion. Honestly, I'm quite disappointed in the lack of blue." Sonic replied
"Ah, AAAHHH, AAAAHHHHH! Do you dare say my name, Rodent?! God will never forgive me!" Amadeus Alter shouted
"Come on, Avice, let's deal with Amadeus!" Sonic said
"Always ready, Master," Avicebron replied
Amadeus Alter yells in pain as he plays music on his long sword as slashes appear around Sonic, slashing him multiple times and sending him flying towards a brick wall of a house, hitting it, and falling soon after. Sonic quickly gets back up as he dashed toward Amadeus Alter, curling himself into a ball and attempting to attack him from different angles as fast as he could. Still, Amadeus Alter plays the Piano while dodging Sonic's homing attacks efficiently without much effort. As Amadeus Alter continued to play the Piano, several of Alter's minions appeared out from the ground as they all charged toward Sonic, who quickly noticed the minions heading toward him and firing their weapons at him. Sonic quickly dodges the gunshots at him as a Golem runs towards Amadeus Alter and throws a punch at Alter but misses him and plays the violin as several slashes appear around the Golem, breaking into small pieces and falling to the ground soon after. Sonic appears behind Amadeus Aktar and attempts to hit him with a backward roundhouse kick, but Amadeus Alter easily blocks the attack with his sword and pushes him back soon after. Sonic skids on the snow. More minions appear around him and attempt to strike him, but he quickly jumps over the minions and lands beside Avicebron, watching Amadeus Alter turn around and look at them. Sonic thought to himself a little before having an idea as he began to run around Amadeus Alter and began shouting his name over and over once again. Amadeus Alter starts to feel his mind go crazy as Sonic spits out that name he hates so much. As he continues to shout at Amadeus, Two Golems paper one of them punches Amadeus, sending him flying as the second Golem grabs hold of him, throws him onto the ground, and jumps on top of him, causing a massive shockwave and crushing Amadeus in the process. The Golem then disappeared as Sonic soon spun dashes on top of Amadeus Alter, dealing tons of damage before jumping away and seeing him get up angrily.
"Amadeus! This ends now! Do you know how much I hate fighting against my friends?!" Sonic shouted
"I will never listen to you, Rodent!" Amadeus Alter shouted
"Oops. You left an opening. *Fires A Gunshot At Amadeus Alter's Mask As His Face Was All Black*." Billy said
"W-Why must you make things more difficult?! I'm NOT Amadeus! *Falls Onto The Ground*."
"I knew you were useless from the start! Antonio Salieri! That is why I must get rid of you for failing to take down Sonic!" Dr. Eggman shouted
"*Eyes Widen* Eggman!?" Sonic shock
"Well, well, well! If it isn't my old friend, Sonic The Hedgehog. I'm impressed you managed to survive this long. I am. However, that won't last that much here." Eggman replied
"Let me guess. You are the one controlling this land before I ever arrived here?" Sonic said
"HOHOHOHOHOHOHO! You are undoubtedly correct, Sonic! You see, these new lands were created thanks to Miss Koyan after she placed her hand on Master Emerald, creating new lands originally made from that purple hair girl's world! With these lands, our planet's history has been heavily altered and mixed with that world's history. Creating a crack in space-time! And as these lands continue to exist, our history will continue to alter! Destroying these lands will slowly repair space-time! However, I won't let you do that when I'm around." Eggman replied
"No matter the situation. I will take down these lands and repair history for both our worlds. And that's a fact!" Sonic said
"HOHOHOHOHOHO! If you are so keen on destroying these Islands, then. You have to get past this first! Grand Duchess! Come here for me!" Dr. Eggman shouted
A gust of wind blows between the two enemies as a white hair young lady appears in front of Sonic, holding a doll while looking at Sonic.
"What the?! Who's that?!" Sonic shock
"Sonic! I give you, Anastasia! A lovely young woman whose mission is to get rid of you once and for all! HOHOHOHOHOHOHO!" Eggman laughed
"We meet for the first time, Sonic The Hedgehog. Bow down before the glory of the Tsar. My name is Anastasia. I am the daughter of this land's undying dynasty, now and always. I am a Servant of this land, and I shall eliminate you. Come, Viy, let's kill them together. Hear my command and obey: You are to become sculptures of snow and ice, writhing in agony in this world of permafrost for all eternity." Anastasia said
"EGGMAN! *Attempts To Summon A Couple Servants But Was Disrupte By The A Gust Of Wind That Anastasia Fires At Him*." Sonic shouted
Sonic quickly jumped away from the attack but wasn't safe for long as sharp iced crystals appeared underneath him, heading toward him to stab him through his body and kill him. But Avicebron quickly jumps at Sonic and grabs him as the two miss the Sharp crystals from instantly killing them. However, Anastasia wasn't done yet as she spun around beautifully around the two, creating an ice tornado that hit both Avicebron and Sonic multiple times, sending them flying soon after the attack. Both rolled on the snow as the two were injured from Anastasia's attack. Eggman laughs at the two, which makes Sonic furious as he quickly gets up, lunges toward Anastasia, and attempts to throw a kick towards her, but a wall of shards appears between both of them. Sonic hits the shards as they explode and sends Sonic flying into the sky as Viy appears and slashes Sonic multiple times, dealing tons of damage to Sonic before unleashing a pillar of ice shraps at Sonic, getting stabbed multiple times before falling onto the snow, badly injured from the attack from Viy. Several Golems appeared behind Sonic. They attempt to attack, but she uses her Mystic Eyes to freeze all of them install and destroy them quickly. Sonic slowly gets up as he is coughing out blood and dashes toward Anastasia, performing his boost skill towards him, attempting to ram into Anastasia. Still, again, a wall of shards appears in front of Sonic, and he pushes back as he rolls on the ground and coughs out blood after that humiliating defeat against Anastasia.
"*Breathing Heavily, Badly Injured* D-Dang you! Eggman!" Sonic shouted
"We are completely defenseless against her," Avicebron said
"HOHOHOHOHOHOHO! Give it up, Sonic! Not even you and your armor friend can't defeat her in such a dire matter! Now then, finish them off!" Eggman shouted
"*Wakes Up* Y-You fat bastard! Curse you and the Tsar! *Begins To Unleash His Noble Phantasm At Dr. Eggman* Behold my Noble Phantasm!" Salieri shouted
"W-What the?! What's going on?!" Eggman shock
"Viy!"
"Our Lord in heaven, pity me! Dio Santissimo Misericordia de Mi! *Unleashes Noble Down At Eggman And Anastasia* DIE!"
"GAH!"
Dr. Eggman, Sonic, and Avicebron all dash away as Salieri unleash his Noble Phantasm down at everyone surrounding him. Minus Anastasia, who summons Viy to block Salieri's Noble Phantasm without much effort. This pisses Salieri off as he begins to get pissed at the fact that he is under some mind control.
"Oh my, you certainly startled me. I must be the only member of the Romanov Dynasty who's ever been attacked from above by the court musician. Not that it matters now." Anastasia said
"How dare you put me under some unknown mind control! Thinking I would work with you in the first place?!" Salieri shouted
"Your goal was to defeat that Hedgehog! But since you have betrayed me! Young lady, finish those two masked idiots and that Hedgehog!" Eggman shouted
"Got you. *Snaps His Fingers As Snow Golems Appear Around Eggman, Ready To Crush Him* Now, I guess it's our cue to escape. I believe we will be taking that person with us as well?" Avicebron asks
"You bet you all! *Grab Salieri By The Wrist As All Four Of Them Escaped To Where Tails And Mash Were Waiting For Them* This is not over yet, Egghead!" Sonic shouted
"Curse you, Hedgehog!" Eggman shouted
*The Next Day, Inside The Snow Mobile Back To The Stronghold*
"*Scratching His Head* We got our tails kicked yesterday. Didn't we?" Sonic said
"As long as everyone came out alive. Then that's all it matters." Mash replied
"*Looking At The Group* Who are you lot?" Salieri said
"Hey there, Salieri! Names Sonic The Hedgehog! Master Of Chaldea. And these three are my friends Tails, Mash, and Avicebron. Glad to see you in one piece." Sonic replied
"Sonic The Hedgehog. The one that Egg person told me to kill. How interesting, it wasn't my intention to kill you in the first place anyway. Give me a moment while I remove this Mystic Code. *Removes Mystic Code* This is who I truly am. Take a look at my Servant power for yourselves." Salieri said
"*Whistle* Fancy," Sonic commented
"I'm just an ordinary composer. I never wrote any symphonies that left a mark on history. The sole reason I exist on the Throne of Heroes is that I am said to have killed Amadeus. Whether or not I did kill him is entirely irrelevant. People were convinced that I did, so here I am." Salieri explained
"What, so if people believe rumors enough, then that specific person involved can be in the Thrones of Heroes? What the heck?" Sonic surprise
"If that's what you believe, Sonic, then sure. I don't mind. Before we continue, I must ask Sonic, what do you know of this land?" Salieri asks
"It's one of many Islands that appeared on top of my world where it originated in Chaldea's world, and it's causing a break in space-time as we speak. So, in a nutshell. These parallel worlds will continue expanding as we speak from a far distance. To be fair, I'm pretty used to stuff like this. It's not the first time my world has come together with others and messed things up. This is just another weekday for me." Sonic replied
"Or you know, Sonic, they are Lands where history hasn't changed for centuries. Lands where they follow Mash's world in the same course but differently. And it'll only continue to be like this if we don't do anything else." Tails said
"Short answers but spot-on. There's nothing more that I need to continue to explain. Anyway, you must be wondering if you work with that Egg person. My answer is no, of course. I am a Rogue Servant, summoned by something called Master Emerald that is keeping me alive as we keep. Even as we speak, I remain unsure if I am on the right side." Salieri explained
"We will simply have to trust that you are," Avicebron said
"Above all, this land is utterly devoid of music. It seems I have no choice but to join your side." Salieri replied
"Now that's what I'm talking about! Welcome to the team, Salieri! Now that you are with us, can you tell us a little bit about this Ivan person?" Sonic asks,
"I'm afraid I don't have any information about him, just that he's a Servant. Nothing more, nothing less. However, I heard that that tree is the cornerstone of this land. Without the Tree of Emptiness, it would be impossible to mount an attack on reality. But's it easier said than done to take it down? The Tree of Emptiness lies with the Tsar himself. To reach it, you'll have to face him. There is an army of robots stationed in the capital." Salieri replied
"Heh, it seems like Eggman is waiting for me to arrive and take down him and this Ivan guy," Sonic said
"That said, I have decided to join you, though conditionally. My power is your power. That's enough, chitchat. We are returning to the rebel army's stronghold soon, are we not?" Salieri replied
"Yea, we should be heading there about 10-20 minutes from now." Tails said
"Now, all that's left to talk about is that Servant Dr. Eggman is teaming up with now. If I remember correctly from yesterday's talk. Her True Name was Anastasia. Ivan the Terrible's first wife, the first tsaritza, whom he loved with all his heart." Mash explained
"So, which one are we dealing with?" Tails ask
"Beats me. I'll tell Da Vinci." Sonic replied
"Anastasia Nikolaevna Romanova. The Grand Duchess of Ice is a young girl who bore the brunt of Russia's darkness. I can explain her backstory if you want me to." Da Vinci said
"I rather not. I pretty much want to stay focused on my world's history at the moment. It's the place I grew up anyway and learned about more." Sonic replied
"No, no, I understand. I know you're not into the political side and just want to go fast, so I'll backtrack on what I said. Either way, we still have to take her down, no matter what." Da Vinci said
