"It's not much, but we should be safe from patrols for a bit," Kuro says as Iv charges an electric lamp for them to see in the cave. "Do you want anything? Something to eat or drink? I kinda owe you for looking out for those guys when you helped them with that patrol," Kuro says, letting his guest know that he wasn't with the Eggman empire.

"They were yours?" she whispers.

"A part of the resistance. The leader asked me to come here to help build a cell here. I am not part of the training. I am the distraction that makes the Eggman army run around in circles," Kuro explains, offering her a bottle of water after he removes his mask, showing her he is a wolf.

She sighs and starts to reach for her mask. "Whisper," she whispers, taking her mask off to show she is also a wolf before taking the water.

"Kuro. Currently, Eggman's most wanted," Kuro introduces. Kuro waits for her to say something, but she just keeps quiet as five wisps emerge from her outfit and start to interact with Iv. He then notices that she also has thick black eyelashes and cloudy white fur around her eyes that resemble the mask she wears. Her eyes are cadet blue, although they seem closed enough to the point of squinting. The light gray eyeshadow around her eyes looks to compliment her fur color and even adds to the image that she already has a mask on her mask.

"Shy?" Kuro asks to try and break the ice, making Whisper blush and nod embarrassed. "Alright…take your time," Kuro says.

Whisper nods while looking to the wisps as she seems to be concentrating on them.

Kuro decides to give Whisper some space, not sure what else to do as he never really interacted with anyone like her, and he was starting to find her attractive because of that. Part of him did wonder if it was legitimate or was his wolf hormones acting up being close to another wolf mobian.

Whisper slowly turns back to Kuro now and opens her mouth. "You have met the two sisters?"

"Yeah…does that count as meeting three or four egg bosses…how do you know that?" Kuro asks when he registers what she had said.

Whisper slowly points to the wisp as they keep talking.

"…you…the mask?" Kuro asks for confirmation, an idea he had.

Whisper nods while holding up her mask and looking at it.

"…he told you about Symbol yet?" Kuro asks.

"I…sorry for your loss," Whisper whispers to him as Kuro gives her a good look.

"You know what it is like, don't you?" Kuro asks after a while.

Whisper nods and looks away, ashamed.

"There is nothing to be ashamed of," Kuro says, letting that sink in for a bit before asking. "You are fighting Eggman too?" Kuro asks, getting only a nod in response. "Want to help us fight him? I mean, you have already helped us from afar, but do you want to coordinate with us?" Kuro offers while trying to give her some space.

Whisper looks at him for a bit before blushing as she nods.

Kuro smiles and wags his tail happily. "Great. When it's fully night, we'll head back to base and get ready for any mission they have."

"I…would rather not go that far," Whisper whispers to him.

"Oh…how about I go in the base and get info and what they need to be done, then come back and tell you?" Kuro offers as he gets she didn't want to be around others much.

Whisper nods while finding a good corner to rest on for the night.

"Iv, wake me in four hours for a watch," Kuro instructs, laying down to rest.

Iv sparks over in his direction before continuing to interact with the other wisps quietly.

'It's nice to see him interacting,' Kuro thinks before getting what sleep he could.

"How was it?" Whisper whispers, her mask on her face again.

"They are still setting up mostly. I had to move camp after that patrol encounter. By now, I will assume Clove has discovered our previous camp or at least is about to," Kuro says, offering her a blueberry drink.

"Sorry," Whisper whispers.

"You have nothing to apologize for. It would have happened either way," Kuro assures, continuing to offer the drink.

Whisper takes the drink before lifting her mask and sipping some gulps. "Thank you," she thanks in a quiet tone.

"So what do you feel up to? Sabotage or espionage work?" Kuro asks.

Whisper slowly looks around and gives the drink back. "Espionage."

"Keep it. I got it for you. Now then. Let me give you the lowdown on what I have in mind," Kuro says before starting to tell her about a databank that contains a great many plans, schematics, and schedules for the Eggman empire for the region. "So, what do you think?" Kuro asks.

Whisper seems to look up in thought before nodding. "We need that databank," she whispers before turning her closed gazed at him. "Where do you need me as you seem to want to get in first?"

"Don't worry about infiltration; I got that. I need you on lookout and sniper support right here would be best," Kuro says, pointing to a map with notes he had written on it. "I need to know if someone like egg boss Clove shows up before you ask. That happened to me, only it was the egg boss, Conquering Storm," Kuro explains to Whisper.

Whisper seems to stare at him now. If Kuro sees her with her eyes open, he can guess it is a questioning gaze with a raised eyebrow to make it even more skeptical.

"I am serious. I have been plagued by misfortune for a while now," Kuro says.

Whisper keeps staring at him.

"You want evidence, don't you?" Kuro asks, sighing.

Whisper nods at his question.

Kuro facepalms embarrassed as he types in his communicator and started showing her footage he had studied in the past from his encounters with Storm.

Whisper slowly nods as she watches. But when he goes to shut it off, she grabs his arm and keeps watching the video. Kuro becomes interested and looks to see her watching him blink around Storm's old base and how he moved and tricked everyone.

"That is why I say leave infiltration to me. You see that tree branch over there?" Kuro asks, pointing one out specifically.

Whisper looks over and nods as she turns her gaze to the branch pointed out. A moment later, Kuro is standing on that branch, waving at her. Whisper looks at her hand, which had been holding onto Kuro and slowly unclenches her fingers. She then looks back to Kuro as he seems to smile and relaxes on his branch. Kuro then blinked to her. "That is how I have evaded the egg bosses so long," Kuro explains.

Whisper keeps watching him and nods. "Where now?"

"That depends. Are we going loud also to provide a distraction for the resistance, or are we going quiet, so they don't know what we are getting?" Kuro asks.

"Let's go in quiet," Whisper whispers to him.

"Alright. We will wait till it's night," Kuro says, smiling at her.

Whisper's tail twitches as Kuro blinks back beside her.

"So, let's find somewhere comfortable to rest near our target?" Kuro offers.

Whisper jumps down from the branch and looks up to him, waiting for him to lead her now.

"So, is it too soon to ask about what happened to you?" Kuro asks as he and Whisper are now safely hidden while watching their target as the sun starts to set now. Whisper remains silent as they wait. "I see. Sorry for prying," Kuro says, looking at the building, and taking note of most of the security that seemed to be cybernetic troops.

Whisper doesn't respond as they wait. As they do, they check their gear with Whisper spotting a wispon she had never seen before but doesn't comment on it. When the night has fallen, Kuro looks to Whisper. "Ok, I am heading in. You watch my back, ok?" Kuro asks.

Whisper nods and brings up her rifle.

Kuro nods before using the numbers that his mask gave him to blink into the building. Kuro quickly looks around for any patrols or cameras. Seeing none, he starts to move swiftly and tries to stay out of sight, which was a bit difficult in a lit corridor. After a bit, Kuro comes to the door to the database he is here for. 'I should conserve energy in case Clove shows up again,' Kuro thinks as he starts to pick the lock as quickly as he could unsure of how long he had.

Kuro sweats as he barely makes it in and locks the door back in time to hear a patrol go by. They were talking about some sort of game or match that happened recently from the sounds of it. Kuro inwardly sighs relief as he moves to the database and installs the USB Tailsko had given him for situations like this. "Alright time to see her work in action," Kuro whispers as he places the USB into the database.

Kuro waits for it to finish as he listens for any sign of the guards or anything. After a bit of hearing only the low hum of the database, Kuro activates his communicator. "Whisper, is everything alright outside?" Kuro asks.

"Yes. You are fine," Whisper replies, watching intently as possible in a high tree.

"Good. It's going right now. Please, let me know if one of them shows up," Kuro says, hoping she gets he is talking about an egg boss after seeing the evidence he showed her.

Whisper whistles quietly at the sound of that while sounding like a bird at the same time. Kuro gives a snark before clearing his throat and returns to watching the progress. After a bit, the copy is complete, and Kuro disconnects it. "Whisper, are we all good at our previous location?" Kuro asks as his headgear is already doing the calculations.

"Patrol is there. Wait one minute," Whisper warns, eyeing the area he designated from before.

"On your mark," Kuro says, calculations finished.

Whisper hums before waiting and causing silence on the communicator. Kuro starts to become anxious as he keeps waiting until Whisper whistles over the communicator. He then blinks into her view and starts to blink back to where she is staying hidden. "Do you have it?"

"Yeah, got it all. Will show you after we get out of here," Kuro informs.

Whisper starts to get down from the tree and lands near him. "Where to?"

"I set up a cache of supplies. Follow me, and we will set up camp," Kuro says before starting to run to get as much distance as he can from the building.

Whisper quickly runs after him and tries to keep up. After a bit, they stop with Kuro a bit out of breath, and Whisper's body starts to sag in exhaustion for staying awake too long, "You kept up quite well," Kuro compliments.

Whisper turns away not to show any emotion, but her tail betrays her feelings and wags happily behind her.

Kuro reaches into his hiding spot inside a hollowed-out tree and starts bringing stuff out. "Here, if you need a snack," Kuro says, handing her some jerky.

Whisper takes it without saying anything and bites in quickly enough. Kuro smiles as he hears her chewing, and he sees her tail wagging even more behind her, waving some wind into his face. "Alright, let's see what we have then," Kuro says, pulling out a laptop that seemed to be vacuum sealed, and Kuro inserts the USB to look at the data after removing the packaging.

Whisper moves over and leans past his shoulder to watch what he is doing as she keeps eating. The data is going by quickly, but it seems like it is a schedule for deliveries, supply lines, and storage areas he is looking at now. "Looks like we got more targets to have…oh no," Kuro says, seeing something.

"Is something the matter?" Whisper asks, taking another bite.

"We got an inbound flight from Storm's Egg clan army. I might be a bit jumpy, but I don't like seeing something like that as she might be on it," Kuro informs.

Whisper tilts her head before covering her face with her mask and standing still. Kuro then hears whirring coming from her mask and figures she must be looking something up.

"What are you looking for?" Kuro inquires.

Whisper holds up a finger, and he quiets down before she lifts her mask to look at him. "Open cargo manifest on this flight. If it doesn't have personal, check for five weapon crates."

"Alright," Kuro says, accessing the files. As Whisper leans closer to look, she doesn't notice her tail touches Kuro's and doesn't think much of it as it wraps around the fluffy appendage. At which point, Kuro gives a little cheer and makes his tail jump. Whisper jumps in place before pulling her tail away from his before looking at the screen. "Four weapon crates on the flight. Thanks for the help. Did you just hack the Eggman network?" Kuro asks, surprised.

Whisper shakes her head. "Looking at archive footage I had of shipping zones."

"Impressive," Kuro compliments, before he goes back to going through the data. After a bit, he pulls out his communicator and makes a call. "Hey, Sally, it's me," Kuro chirps.

"And what good news do you have to break the silence overseas?" Sally asks, not sounding mad in particular.

"Yeah, so you have cells in Eurish and Efrika?" Kuro asks.

"Somewhat. Why?" Sally questions, now becoming curious.

"Write these coordinates down if you want to ambush supply convoys in those regions," Kuro informs.

Sally hums before there is paper shuffling. "Go ahead."

Kuro starts rattling off numbers. "Make sure it looks like it's the region's egg boss failures. If Clove gets replaced here, it could end very badly for the region," Kuro advises.

"No problem with that. We do it every day," Sally assures. "Now, how are things going on over there since you made this call?"

"Figured out why Clove is an egg boss. It's her sister. Had her entire respiration system replaced to save her life. Eggman is holding that over her head now. That is why she is so laid back in comparison to some," Kuro informs, showing he has a bit of a soft spot for her and her sister now.

Sally is silent for a bit before sighing. "Kuro…"

"I will still do my work, but I am going to try to do it under the radar now. I did destroy three factories and one of those death egg robots after all," Kuro informs.

"Keep those up, and I won't question much. And Kuro…" Sally starts in a warning tone.

"What? Is Nicole naughty again?" Kuro teases, holding the communicator away from him a bit.

"And proud of it!" Nicole cheers loud enough to make the communicator screech.

"Anyways, I got to go now. Good luck," Kuro says before handing up. "Have you seen all the data now?" Kuro asks Whisper.

Whisper looks up from the computer and nods as she disconnects a cable that was attached to her wrist piece.

"Scrub in case there are any backdoors, viruses, or anything of the kind," Kuro says before taking the computer and starts smashing it.

Whisper flinches and covers her face with a hand as pieces bounce off of her. "I did."

"Good, shall we go?" Kuro asks, contemplating if he should also set the remains on fire.

Whisper nods, grabbing the bag of jerky and biting into another piece.

"You sleep, alright?" Kuro asks.

Whisper sighs as she sits up in the small bed and rubs her face. "Fine."

"It's been a few days since we got the data. Should we use some of it?" Kuro asks.

Whisper nods while waving her tail behind her. Her nose twitches when she smells the same scent, almost buried into her fur. She gives a low growl, and Kuro figures she could be somewhat hungry. Kuro reaches over to a crate and takes out another jerky bag to toss to her. "Thank you," she says before stuffing her mouth full and surprisingly chews quietly than Kuro expects from such a large mouthful.

"You seemed to have warmed up to me a bit," Kuro points out as he pulls out the map he has made notes on. "Which area should we work in today?"

Whisper starts to move close to him to see the map before sniffing the scent from his waving tail. Whisper flinches and looks away before moving away from him a little and looks at the map a little further away after she doesn't smell that strong scent. "We will…take the docks," she replies after a while.

"Alright, we can hit the ammo depot. Load up on some explosives as we are running low," Kuro says, thinking now.

Whisper nods without thinking as she moves to the wall, farthest away from him. "Right…get me some too."

"Will you be providing an overwatch like usual?" Kuro asks.

Whisper nods and starts to pace. "We must get going before the night crew leaves."

"Alright, let's go then. After this, we can look for better sleeping arrangements? As you don't seem to like this one," Kuro says, mistaking her behavior.

Whisper quietly yips enough for Kuro to hear, but figures it can be something else. He gets up and tosses a bottle of water to her that she catches without looking or thinking. "It's…fine. We can do that."

"Great," Kuro says happily and starts to pack things up. "You can get ready. I'll clean up here."

"Right," Whisper says, putting on her mask.

"How is it looking?" Kuro asks over his comms as he starts loading explosives into his bag.

Whisper keeps looking around the base, trying to spot any guards walking near his position. "You are still clear."

"Good…wait. Is that beeping?" Kuro asks, confused as his ears shoot up.

Whisper quickly pans around the area, trying to find any sign of beeping near him, but couldn't find anything. It wasn't until she pins down the beeping coming through does her ear twitch. "Kuro, get out of there," she whispers with a worried tone.

"I found a bomb…it looks like it was set up to blow this ammo dump sky high. Whisper, is there anyone nearby? Dock Workers or egg army personnel?" Kuro asks, considering what to do with this since it has another thirty minutes on the timer.

Whisper looks back to a watchtower and sees two groups walking around and in the area. "Yes."

"Right…disarm it is," Kuro says as she can hear him start to remove pieces now.

"How much time?" Whisper asks, looking to her communicator for the clock.

"Twenty-nine minutes," Kuro informs as he keeps working.

"We are pushing past two minutes already," Whisper warns, keeping an eye on the timer beside her.

"…ugh. Whoever set this up didn't do even a decent job. Must not have much experience in explosives," Kuro comments as he does something that made Whisper wince a bit thinking he had triggered it for a moment when a loud, fast-paced beeping rings through. "And now we have a bomb," Kuro informs.

"How much damage on its own?" Whisper asks curiously, thinking of a few ideas already. But also to get her mind off of losing Kuro in that moment.

"Eh…have to examine it more to figure it out, but I doubt it could bring down this building by itself. Its job was probably just to detonate the explosives and ammo in here to do that," Kuro theorizes, packing it away into his bag of loot as well.

"Then leave. You are over five minutes already," Whisper reminds, taking a glance at her clock.

"Coming back," Kuro says before blinking right beside her.

Whisper jumps in place as he does so, her tail twitching widely and trying to swing and reach for Kuro's tail. But Whisper holds firm and swings it the other way, wrapping around her leg to keep it still. "We have to leave now. They would notice anything wrong," she informs, packing up her rifle.

"You got it. Want me to blink us away or run?" Kuro offers while making sure their loot is secure.

Whisper's tail tip flinches at his suggestion and what blinking will entail for her. From even the basic idea that he would have to hold her close also. "Let's just…" she stops as eyes land on a guard's direction and speed coming towards them. "Blink, now." Whisper gasp as Kuro grabs her arm and blinks them away, feeling the familiar massive lurch effect on her body as if she passes through a thick film of water. Whisper gasps and tries to gather her breath before being blinked away again, this time in a dense forest away from the sparse and spacious forest. "Thank you…" she pants, gathering her breath.

"Not out of this yet. Should we go incognito or take a long way back?" Kuro asks.

Whisper keeps trying to get air back in the lungs but then smells something else. Instead of the luscious forest pine and fern scents, she smelled Kuro. The thick musk of a young male wolf, along with his weapons and armor, stained by his work habits and jobs he has been doing. Whisper couldn't help but stare down Kuro as he looked around, making sure they weren't tracked or seen. As she did, Whisper swore her body heat was just rising now.

Kuro sighs as he glances at his map and looks in a direction they could go. "I can blink us a few more times, so they don't find traces or tracks of us. Maybe we can save some time searching," he says before looking to Whisper. "And a place to sleep for tonight. We do need…are you okay?" he asks, his mood shifting to a worried one as he sees her staring at him and holding still. Her body even twitches as her tail coils and wags around like crazy when he approaches. "Whisper?"

Whisper moves closer and whispers into his ear, "Kuro…fuck me."

Kuro looks somewhat surprised at her before grunting as he is pushed to the ground by Whisper. Kuro groans and looks up to see Whisper already getting out of her jacket and clothes. "How long have you wanted all this?" Kuro asks, getting his old humorous tone that he forgot he had. "Cause I doubt it's just a spur of the moment here."

"We are wolves. You should know that an unmated female like myself is very susceptible to a strong young male's scent," Whisper whispers into his ear before kissing it.

Kuro hums. "Never had another wolf to be honest. It is always random. But then again, I am not complaining," he quips with a grin before grabbing her tail and yanking hard.

Whisper yips loudly, and she covers her mouth in pure embarrassment that takes over her body for a moment. "Fuck me! Now!" she demands, grabbing his collar and pulls him closer.
