Hours later, Whisper is once again dressed and holding her face in humiliation.

"So…" Kuro starts but couldn't think of anything to say.

Whisper just presses her ears against her head, trying not to hear anything after what just happened and his indecision on what to say. 'Why…?'

Kuro watches her as she sits just on the edge of an alcove they have found to get away from the light. He sighs and gets up, still not dressed, before walking over and sitting by her. His fur ruffled and messy from their previous hours. "I guess you never really fell in love in any way, did you?"

"No," Whisper whispered.

Kuro shakes his head before he moves his tail and wraps it around hers as gently as possible. Whisper doesn't resist besides giving some twitches at times to handle the new feeling on top of what she is thinking from the heat-driven sex before. "Well, I am not that good at pillow talk, but I can do what I can for you," he offers, smiling, trying to put a joke in there to cheer her up. But considering her demeanor, he wouldn't be surprised if she is just embarrassed for the next few days. "So, where do you want to start?"

Whisper is silent for a good while before speaking again, "Are you with anyone currently?"

Kuro hums. "I count Tailsko as that kinda. A happy fox back in the main base," he recounts smiling, thinking of how sexy she looks bent over her workbench and toiling away. "If you are worried, I don't mind. I mean, I have been through so many girls," he tries to reassure.

"I should meet her. We are a part of the same pack now," Whisper says after a bit.

Kuro gives a little smile. "Okay. But just so you know, she is mostly keeping her head buried in her work, so she might not notice you at first," he warns before moving over and wrapping a hand around Whisper's waist. "So…want another run?"

"No…not looking to have a pup yet…you don't know what it means to meet another packmate, do you?" Whisper asks, opening her eyes slightly more.

Kuro blinks for a moment. "Should I? I mean, it's just meeting a little group like a family gettogether, isn't it?" he guesses, letting his hand slip between her clothing and rubs at her fur.

"It usually ends up being similar to what we just did," Whisper whispered to him as her fur starts turning a bit crimson.

Kuro hums before smiling. "Maybe you can give Tailsko company. She must be getting lonely at times. But then again, she could slap me ten times to Sunday. Honestly, it's best to have a good outlook and hope for the best while preparing for the worst," he admits, letting his hand slide up her chest.

"We should go," Whisper whispers, grabbing his hand.

Kuro immediately grabs her hand in return and pulls her closer. "Yeah, we should. Just know, if you need anything like this, come to me. I can help things out, especially with Tailsko, as I know what…makes…her…tick," he whispers into her ear before nipping it, electing a flick into his muzzle to his satisfaction.

Whisper says nothing as they blinked away after gathering everything. They are now in another part of the forest, and Whisper notices Kuro seems more tired than a moment ago.

"Are you okay?" Whisper asks, making sure he doesn't fall over dead.

"It's fine. My power is just linked to my energy is all," Kuro informs as they move into the cave that was nearby.

Whisper nods before helping him sit down inside. "We need to get back to your base."

"We have a more significant issue to look into," Kuro says, bringing out the bomb.

"The explosive…right," Whisper mutters under her breath and now takes a careful look over the device for anything familiar.

"Yeah. This isn't the work of the resistance as they would have called and asked us for assistance as those two aren't that good at covert stuff," Kuro says, shining a light onto the remains of the bomb. "Amature work. I am no expert in explosives, but this is just shoddy," Kuro comments, examining the pieces.

"Bad wiring?" Whisper guesses, peering closer at the piece he is examining.

"That and the timer. This is barely better than an explosive grenade wise and far less reliable," Kuro says before stopping. "Oh ho, what do we have here?" Kuro asks, finding the emblem of the Eggman empire on some of the parts.

"Not surprising. The Eggman Empire handles most explosives," Whisper points out.

"Hum…could be?" Kuro thinks aloud, looking it over to see if he could determine how old the parts were. "These are new…I would say from the factory floor."

"What does that mean?" Whisper asks as the wisps all were out and about now.

"I think it's an inside job. I think I will be visiting Clove soon to see what we can get out of this," Kuro says.

"You are choosing to go back among them? To spite them further?" Whisper almost demands.

"I want to confirm a few things, besides if Clove is replaced, what would happen to the civilians of this area?" Kuro asks.

Whisper was about to retort before stopping. She then sees Kuro pack up some things in his bag and takes the bomb pieces with him. "Now?"

"No, too low on energy to escape if need to. Besides, you are too worried," Kuro says, moving over to her before leaning onto her.

Whisper grabs hold of him and wrap her arms around his form. "You are prespring, though. Maybe after I fall asleep," she whispers, feeling his ear flick and brush against her muzzle.

Kuro didn't respond as Whisper hears his breath slow significantly. Whisper sighs before wrapping her tail around his and laying her head on top of his own. One of her wisps comes out of their little capsule to look them over and gives a small smile to it. The wisp chitters happily and flies around them. "He is a good choice; I will admit."

Clove sighed. Today is, thankfully, a quieter day. No running around having to put out fires or control any backlash. Maybe she could relax a bit. These were her general thoughts as she went to her office before stopping at seeing someone in her seat and playing with Cassia's favorite paddleball.

"Hello. You have lax security," Kuro greets with a wave, trying to do tricks on his paddleball. Clove was about to call out for the guards or withdraw her weapon when the door shut behind her. Whirling around, she sees a wisp had closed it before returning to Kuro. "There is no need to call for the guards. They are taking a nap. Besides, we have a bit of business," Kuro informs.

Clove stared at him, trying her hardest to make sense of this. Why was he here and so blatantly? Clove eyed him now, knowing this one could appear and disappear at will so it would be meaningless to even swipe at him with her scythe.

Kuro sighs and lifts his bag before throwing it on her desk, spilling out the contents of the bomb he has. "So, can you explain this?"

Clove was hesitant, but eventually went to check what was in it and found what appeared to be a bomb. "Found it in that ammo dump you have at the docks of Denver," Kuro informs, making Clove's eyes widen.

"Why are you showing me this, and why should I believe you at all?" Clove nearly demands.

Kuro shrugs. "Maybe because I give a shit about others. Or maybe because I don't want to see this place and the whole region burned down. Makes stealing stuff less fun." Clove glares at him before making him sigh. "Look, I am on the run from Conquering Storm. The very last thing I want is to be in the center of attention, correct?" Kuro questioned.

Clove slowly breathes out before crossing her arms. "What do you want?"

"Well, your expression told me all I wanted to know. So if I look into this for you, I do want something in return," Kuro says, setting down the paddleball.

Clove brings her glare back before a specific voice catches them both. "Clove, have you seen my paddleball?" Cassia calls.

Kuro holds up a finger before pressing it to his throat, and Clove stares in shock as in her voice, he calls out, "Have you checked under the sofa!?"

"Oh! Okay," Cassia calls back before they hear her step away.

"Now what I want in exchange is for you to hide me," Kuro informs, using his normal voice now.

"From?" Clove asks.

"Storm," Kuro answers, immediately amusing Clove a bit.

Clove now looks smug and taps her hoof. "What did you do to piss her off? Stole her clan's most prized possession?"

"Stole the hat off her head and kept evading her and stealing money from her. You may joke, but she is committed to getting me in one way or another," Kuro informs.

Clove rolls her eyes. "Please. The only way she would be this committed is if you left her at the altar, and she's holding you to your promise."

"She wouldn't do that out of love. At least not the way she is now, but out of necessity or to get something. Aka, my power in her bloodline," Kuro informs.

"Well, you are number one. I could turn you into Eggman instead, and he would at least be thankful with you out of the way," Clove points out.

"And what would he say if more acts of sabotage keep happening?" Kuro asks.

"Is that a threat?" Clove growls.

"No, it's an honest question as to the part that the bomb is made from were most likely from the factory floor judging by the condition they were in," Kuro informs, tapping at his wrist, trying to tell her to speed it up.

Clove's expression softens as she thinks about this and raises a hand and started counting down the moment they hear Cassia's clops coming their way again. "Sis, I didn't find it."

Clove shuts her eyes and sighs. "Fine," she answers before opening her gaze to see Kuro is not at her desk anymore. Only the bomb is left behind and still in pieces.

"Clove, are you sure it's under the…oh," Cassia speaks up and slips by Clove to grab the paddle ball off the desk.

"Please don't leave your toys in my office," Clove requests before stowing the bomb away.

Cassia smiles before sniffing something. "Did you have someone over? Smells…like pine."

"No one was here, Cassia. You would have seen them leaving, wouldn't you?" Clove asks.

Cassia smiles at her sister. "Yeah. You're right. Want to grab some food?"

"Sure…also watch who you talk to. I think we have a traitor in our midst," Clove informs, following her.

Cassia looks back at her older sister. "Really? Any idea?"

"No, but it would explain what happened to the death egg and factories. If that is the case, it must be someone with access to them all," Clove says, thinking to herself.

"By the way, sis, are you sure you don't have a secret admirer or seeing someone?" Cassia asks, smirking. "This is a pretty strong scent," she adds, tapping her metal nose.

Clove blushes and glares. "No. Of course not."

"Then why did you get a gift in the mail today?" Cassia asks her sister, making her do a double-take.

"G-G-Gift?" Clove sputters.

"Yes. It is in the lounge, and I have wanted to open it all day," Cassia informs.

Clove rushes past her before Cassia chases her sister into the lounge and finds a large cargo box sitting in the middle of the room with a crude red bow and a tag hanging off of it. "Who brought this in…and how did they get it past security? This is a giant box!" Clove complains while walking up to and around the crate.

"Well, they did subject it to a lot of tests. They couldn't find anything wrong or odd," Cassia informs.

Clove mutters under her breath as she inspects the box itself, having an idea where this came from. "Any other surprise packages?"

"No," Cassia says in the tone that usually was reserved for when she got caught doing something naughty.

Clove peaks around the side of the box and levels a gaze at her sister. "Are you sure?"

"Yes," Cassia says, looking away and whistling.

Clove keeps the gaze upon her sister and doesn't let up as she starts to sweat under the almost motherly look.

"I got a new game system," Cassia says, cracking under Clove's gaze.

Clove sighs and slowly brings a hand to her face. "Another present?"

"Yes," Cassia admits, squirming a bit under her gaze.

Clove groans before kicking the crate hard and sends a wall flying out from the other side. She mutters about how crazy security must be to let this slide before peeking in the large crate. She then blinks before looking down the large gap of air to the straw bed with a wine bottle and a bag of clothes next to it…no. Those aren't clothes. They're underwear…of her size from the looks of things.

Seeing that Clove was now distracted, Cassia started to try and sneak away.

"Cassia! We are still going to talk about your present!" Clove yells while glaring at the bag of underwear and how skimpy they look.

Cassia caws in shock before trying to run with Clove right behind her, the bag over her shoulder and the wine bottle sticking out of the top.

"Oh yes, your idea is very amusing," Kuro informs as he and Whisper watch from a hidden camera he had set up.

"The underwear?" Whisper asks, sitting by him as his tail wraps around hers and strokes it.

"Yep, look at her face," Kuro says, smirking.

Whisper shrugs innocently. "It should be enough to send messages. And it does look like she has an idea where this all came from."

"Is it me or my alias, though?" Kuro asks.

Whisper just smiles before Kuro leans over and kisses her. "Are you trying to enjoy our time again? We do have to get going." Whisper says, using her tail to push him away a few inches.

"Yeah, first we need to find all who would have access in the first place," Kuro says.

Whisper sighs and looks back towards the base. "It won't be easy."

"And done," Kuro says, pulling up his communicator, getting a skeptical look from her. "Backdoor into their systems."

"Right," Whisper says simply before looking at his communicator. "So, what do we have?"

"Fifteen hits, but excluding Cassia, that is fourteen," Kuro informs.

"Already Cassia…too innocent for your tastes?" Whisper questions and leans on him.

"She would never betray her sister," Kuro informs.

Whisper hums quietly, keeping an eye on his communicator.

"Hum…most of these have been working…hello, we got a recent transfer," Kuro says.

Whisper hums while feeling his tail ride up her back. "Who?"

"Name Silver Tongue…really? That's a name he gave himself, or his parents gave him?" Kuro asks, eye-rolling at the egotism of him as Whisper looks at a purple scaled snake mobium with robotic legs.

"I doubt he could woo us that easily," Whisper comments.

"Let's look into him first?" Kuro asks.

Whisper nods while he packs his things into a bag. "Why are you messing with my clothes again?" she questions, feeling his tail mess with her bra.

"Sorry, instinct," Kuro weakly offers.

Whisper stares at him as his tail moves away. "It's instinct to mess around with your mate's bra?" she asks skeptically.

"Shutting up now," Kuro states, defeated.

Whisper keeps staring at him before leaning over and gives a peck on his cheek. "To stave you off on this stakeout," she says before jumping away.

'Tailsko has some real competition,' Kuro thinks before following.

"Hum…he seems very agitated from the looks of it," Kuro says, looking through his visor to zoom in and watch his expression.

Whisper clicks her communicator once as she watches through her rifle at the other end of the office.

"Seems odd as this has been a slow week since we haven't done anything," Kuro adds.

Whisper hums while scanning around the building.

The two kept watching before Tongue left the office. "I am moving in to look around," Kuro informs over the communicator.

Whisper clicks her communicator and moves her view to watch him as he blinks away into the building behind a wall.

Kuro looks around the office, looking for anything and finds several differently locked drawers and smirks as he starts to pick the locks to see what is so important to hide.

Whisper starts to click her communicator in rapid succession. Kuro peeks past the wall and through a window to see Tongue walking towards his direction. Kuro looks back to the lock, still being picked and frowns. As the lock beeps from a key, he blinks into the ceiling and grips the air vents as tightly as possible while watching the potential saboteur through a slightly open ceiling tile.

"Me. Giving orders to me. Who does that pathetic little tail shaker think she is? Just wait and see. Soon I will be in charge of this area and not her," Tongue mutters very much angrily.

Kuro raises an eyebrow as Whisper clicks in his communicator once before clicking twice. Kuro raises an eyebrow and wonders if Whisper is recording this whole rant.

"When I do, I hope I can watch her expression when I shut off that insolent little sister of her implants—a complete waste of materials that was," Tongue rants, opening a drawer.

Kuro tries to crane his head to see what is in the drawer, but Tongue does it for him and pulls out a detonator onto the desk. "This time, no timer," Tongue says before activating it and sits back in his chair and smirks, and a minute later, the building goes on full alert as reports start coming in of an ammo dump and factory blowing up.

Kuro frowns as he watches the smug bastard reline on his desk. 'Note to self, send Cassia an ESD protection bag or case.'

"Oh, look. Her incompetence is showing again," Tongue says before looking up, thinking he saw someone for a second before seeing nothing out of the ordinary to be there.

Kuro growls and bares his teeth while his tail twitches like crazy. Whisper looks worried down to him as he paces at the base of her tree. "You worry for Cassia's safety now and want to barge in there," she concludes.

"Doing so would only give Cassia and Clove more problems," Kuro says, getting out his communicator and starts hacking before sending Clove a text with a temporary account named 'Wolfen Thief.' 'Need to talk.'

'Dammit, you. Where and when?' Clove texts back while Whisper digs into his bag for something.

'When is good for you as I got your traitor,' Kuro replies.

Clove starts to write something, and it takes a long time as he can guess she is possibly destroying her own office or at least beginning to set things up. At the same time, Whisper takes out a large laptop in a thick blue bag. 'Who?' Clove finally asks.

'In person. As not sure how much longer this will be secure,' Kuro replies.

'Fine. One hour. Astoria Park behind my base,' Clove marks down.

'Surprised to meet so soon as they just blew up ammo dumps and factories, but will be there and don't bring your little sister. She doesn't need to be involved in this,' Kuro says before deleting the temporary account and erasing his presence in the system.

Whisper finally holds out the large empty blue bag to him as he takes his backpack back. "For Cassia, just in case. It should help against any EMP he might have."

"Not sure if strong enough as my EMP…oh wait. You mean theirs. Ok," Kuro says, catching on and taking it. "Keep an eye on him, alright? We don't want to tip our hand that there are two of us," Kuro adds.

Whisper nods as they look back to see Tongue calmly exiting the office building. Whisper then feels a gap of air beside her before she climbs the tree again and watches the snake through her rifle.
