"So…um…what are you going to name it?" Cyborg asks as everyone looked at the manticore now on Agradd's back.
Agradd looks back at the manticore that is about dog size and then back at them and shrugs.
"We will name him Kez," Raven informs.
"Kez…" Agradd repeats, looking back to the manticore and reaches around to pet it's head.
"Yes," Raven repeats simply.
Kez growls but enjoys the petting nonetheless.
"So what now?" Agradd asks.
Robin frowns as Aqualad spoke up. "Since Cadmus has brazenly shown they will try and capture you. The league has convened to discuss a solution."
"And that is?" Agradd asks.
"They are still discussing it. We should hear from them in a few hours," Miss Martian says.
Agradd slowly nods before reaching behind him and takes Kez off his back to hold him in front of himself and ends up just staring at him.
"What are you up to?" Raven asks.
Agradd slowly looks to her before he puts Kez down and takes off one of his gloves and touches Kez, his body falling to the ground, knocked out.
'He didn't…' Knowledge says.
'He did,' Raven sighs as Kez blinks a few times before looking around and then looks up to them, trying to take a few steps and stumbling.
'Well…I admit, I didn't think he could possess magical creatures,' Knowledge says.
'Did he?' Brave asks.
"Agradd, please return to your body before you accidentally shoot one of the spines from the tail," Raven says.
Kez looks up to her before he drops flat onto the ground, knocked out now.
"What have we learned?" Raven asks.
"Think before you act when bored?" Agradd asks.
"Correct," Raven says. "Don't be like Beast Boy," Raven adds as Beast Boy nods.
"…wait a minute," Beast Boy says before starting an argument which lasted until the door opened and Batman walked in.
"We have come to a decision. For now, you all will move into Mount Justice for better security," Batman informs.
The team nodded in understanding, while most of the Titans looked confused and Robin looked angry.
"What about the hive five?" Aqualad asks.
"The hive five will also be moving in after certain tests," Batman informs.
"What…tests?" Gizmo asks confused.
"The bat kind," Robin informs.
"What's his deal?" Mammoth asks noticing Robin's bad mood.
"Bad tidings," Aqualad simply says before turning to Batman. "Shall we try to get moving? It would be best to keep this magic user under wraps," he says before turning to the Hive Five. "And that includes you."
"What about the magical creatures?" Agradd asks as the manticore climbs up onto his back and onto his head like a hat.
"They shall be protected and moved as well," Batman says.
"This may help then," Agradd says handing Batman the whistle that Raven had given him. "Blowing it should put the avian magical creatures into a more agreeable state."
"This should cut our time in half…if the unicorns are agreeable and not high society types," Batman notes as he takes the whistle.
"Half," Agradd says as a zeta tube beeps. "And I fear they are smarter than they look, to be honest. Cunning magical creatures," he says as the computer doesn't say anything but a white pegasus looking proud with spread wings held high walks over to them. "Is that normal for those things to not say anything?"
Batman says nothing as he sends a signal for some leaguers to come help.
"That should be everything," Raven says as Agradd brought the last of his things into his room.
Agradd then turns to her at that point, putting the last box down. "Where are you going to sleep?"
"I have my own room," Raven informs before there was a knock on the open door.
Agradd and Raven look over to see Miss Martian. "Hi. Welcome to your new home…settling in fine?" she asks, looking over his things.
"Yes," Agradd says as Kez slept on the bed.
"So do you need anything?" Raven asks.
Miss Martin smiles. "How about we go out for the day and go shopping? You look like you need some clothes," she says, looking over his mage robes.
Agradd gives her a confused look while Raven looked thoughtful.
Miss Martin kept smiling. "So, how about it? A day of good shopping?"
"Agradd and I don't have any other clothing," Raven informs.
Miss Martin blinks once now. "Really? All this time?"
"I am a fairy. Not a normal human," Agradd states.
"Well, I guess I can ask the guys if they can lend you any clothes. As for Raven, maybe Artemis has something in your size," Miss Martian says.
"I'm not that thin and tall," Raven points out
"You want to go out with Agradd, don't you?" Miss Martian asks.
Raven says nothing before following her.
Agradd sat in his seat at the same table of Raven, Conner, Megan, and Artemis. He then looks around to see Robin not with them. Agradd didn't know what he was up to but Wally, Beast Boy, and Cyborg are back at mount justice playing some games, almost cheering and beating each other. While he didn't see Aqualad and Starfire who are still back at the cave moving her things. And all he has to wear is a white shirt and green jacket with blue jeans and work boats as Raven wore a black hood and black shorts. She loves black it seems when outside.
"So this was fun," Megan says.
Agradd only scratches at an itchy part of his jacket and Megan reaches over before taking off the sticker that was on the wrist collar.
The five kept quiet for a bit longer before Artemis got up. "Hey, I am going to go check out another store. Anyone want to come with me?"
Everyone kept quiet for a bit before Megan gets up. Leaving the rest still quiet and watching, but Agradd kept looking over his outfit for any more stickers.
"Agradd, why don't you go with her?" Megan asks.
Agradd looks up and tilts his head. "I already have clothes."
"This is a different kind of store," Artemis informs as Raven looks up at her.
"Agradd, why don't you go with her?" Raven suggests.
"Okay," Agradd says and gets up and follows her.
"He seems to really trust you with what you say," Conner points out to Raven.
Raven looks to Megan and her eyes move to Conner, letting her know she wants to be connected to Conner for a moment. 'Well, when two people open their minds up to each other so freely that tends to happen,' Raven says to Connor after Megan connected their minds with telepathy as Agradd and Artemis left.
'We understand that part,' Conner replies, watching as they left.
'That reminds me, I should check his memories later. He must have some of Artemis's after what happened and if he has too many from other people, they start to overwhelm him,' Raven thinks.
Agradd looks around the sports shop with Artemis as she looks through the bow section. "So…do you want to talk about it?" Agradd asks after a pause.
Artemis picks up and looks at a bow. "There is nothing to talk about."
"…he seemed like a prick," Agradd says and it just sounds funny coming from him.
Artemis smiles a little. "He does."
"You want to talk about what happened with your family? Because I do not blame you at all," Agradd says.
Artemis's smile fell and puts the bow back, going for another two to compare. "As I said, nothing to talk about."
Agradd walked up and hugged her. "You are not your father. You are a good person."
Artemis became surprised at the surprise hug and slowly pushes him away. "Don't do that so freely. Some people won't appreciate invading of personal space."
Agradd cocks his head to the side a bit confused.
"Some people need personal private space. Invade that and people don't like when you do that. It feels like you are breaking their trust," Artemis explains.
"Oh," Agradd says understanding as an awkward silence fell onto them. "You're quite good with a bow."
"Learned it quite well," Artemis merely replies, weighing both bows now.
Agradd went silent again, trying to think of what to say.
"So…how's your magic skill like?" Artemis asks to break the silence.
Agradd checks to see if any were listening in before saying, "Well, my unique power allows me to possess others and allow me to gain some of their memories."
"So does that mean…wait…you have all my memories?" Artemis almost demands now.
"Only some. All is too many," Agradd says.
"Oh…what do you know?" Artemis carefully asks.
"I still do not understand the obsession of human anatomy," Agradd says.
Artemis became surprised and shocks. "You're not joking…right?"
"It's all natural, right? So there is no reason to obsess over it," Agradd says.
Artemis groans. "Okay. You are going to have to block all that out."
"Huh?" Agradd asks.
"Those memories are private. It's like private space…only in memory form," Artemis explains.
"Oh, that. Yeah, I do not choose which memories I usually get. Raven says it can be mostly random unless I really focus on or look for one," Agradd explains.
Artemis crosses her arms as she stares him down.
"Ask her for more details. She is the one studying it while I focus on learning other things," Agradd says.
"Like…?" Artemis probed.
"Fire and water magic. Though her teaching me how to fly with magic, I am still trying to get good at," Agradd says.
"And here I thought all magic users knew how. It's almost like a requirement for it," Artemis almost jokes and smirks.
"It's harder than it seems," Agradd says, subconsciously scratching a bandage he has under his clothes from an accident. "So any more questions?" Agradd asks.
"Yeah. Last time I saw you, you had red hair. Now you have blue. Trying some hair dye that is fast acting?" Artemis asks, looking at his hair.
"Oh? Yeah, my hair changes depending on the magic I use. It was originally brown," Agradd explains.
"You would fit in easily in Japan," Artemis merely said.
"What is Japan?" Agradd asks.
Artemis sighs and tries to be patient with this one.
"So how do you think Artemis and Agradd are doing?" Raven asks as the three looks through a bookstore.
"They should be fine," Megan says smiling, looking at a history book of TV shows.
"I hope so. Agradd hasn't been out in public much. He usually spent his time in our home," Raven says.
"Anything other than magic learning?" Megan asks.
"Well, he is learning a bit about the world, but considering where he is from and what has happened to him, I don't think he has much in ways of knowing about the world," Raven says, trying to skate around the true meaning because someone may be listening in on them.
"So…he could use someone to help tutor him?" Megan asks.
"Maybe someone with extensive knowledge of the world and how to act so normal in it, he could be a wall fly," Raven explains, looking over a children's book on spells. Which is fake. "They got the matrix right, but the symbols will blow anyone away trying it. Eh…children," she mutters tossing it back into the bargain bin.
"What about me or Artemis?" Megan asks as Connor looks at a book on wolves.
"Artemis maybe. She has been through a bit tougher time I believe," Raven suggested.
'Well, her father is Sportsmaster,' Megan telepathically informs.
'Exactly why,' Raven thinks back.
'How is that better?' Megan had to ask.
'One of pain is better to learn from than one of happiness. Pain sees many sides of most things,' Raven lectures.
Megan cocks her head confused as Connor went to purchase the book he had.
"So, that is how I got Kez," Agradd says telling Artemis why he now had a pet after she inquired about it.
"So is he safe?" Artemis questioned.
"Raven tells me his tail spines contain one of the deadliest poisons known, but being a juvenile, it is unclear if it is potent yet," Agradd says.
"You should get him an outfit then…an armored one," Artemis adds at the end.
"I will see if he will even let me," Agradd says as they meet back up with the group.
"You two have fun?" Megan asks cheerfully.
"Does talking count as fun?" Agradd asks innocently, making Raven raise one of her eyebrows before seeing his stare at her.
"It was fine," Artemis says as the group got back together.
"Did you find anything good?" Megan asks.
Artemis holds up a few special arrows and heads. "Couldn't find a bow that's up to my standards."
"And did Agradd find anything interesting?" Raven asks.
Agradd holds up a bag and takes out a soft foam ball.
"What are those for?" Raven asks.
"Kez…and for BB. Something to distract him," Agradd jokes, making Raven smile.
"You don't think that will work, will it?" Megan asks.
"Maybe not, but it would be funny to try," Raven says.
Agradd tosses the ball around as he almost juggles it.
"Shall we head back?" Artemis asks.
"Artemis, when we get back, I want to talk to you about something," Raven informs.
"Sure," Artemis agrees as they all walk off, Agradd now trying to juggle the set of balls he has.
"So what did you want to talk about?" Artemis asks.
"I need you to help Agradd adjust to life. Normal really. If it will help him blend…almost being invisible in a crowd, then help teach him. Oh, and normal everyday customs," Raven explains, picking through a few books in her room.
"And you are telling me why?" Artemis asks.
"Because I want to help tutor him basically," Raven informs.
"Why not you teach him? You seem to be doing fine," Artemis points out.
"I am helping him learn magic, but I am only half human and I grew up in a magical dimension and have very limited experience in the normal world myself. Not to mention, I have none on living a normal life," Raven informs.
"I see…why not Megan? She studied earth culture and lives for a long time. Mine is…dangerous," Artemis tried to argue.
"You have the first-hand experience and Agradd would be more comfortable with you because he knows you a bit from the time he was in your mind…don't worry. I will get rid of the memories he took soon," Raven says, practically feeling the question on Artemis's mind.
"Good. I think he took almost everything…he even called Wally a prick," she chuckles at.
"You want me to erase that part? I can understand if he got memories that involved undressing or bathing, but that seems like something you would like him to remember," Raven says.
Artemis smiles a little more. "Let him keep it."
"Alright, so can Agradd and I can count on you?" Raven asks.
Artemis lightly shakes her head. "Get the memories done and I'll see what I can do."
"Alright," Raven says heading out.
Raven smiles as she walks down to Agradd's room and finds him tossing a ball for Kez to catch and fetch with. "Having fun?"
"I think this was a good idea," Agradd says.
Raven nods as she walks over and sits by him on the bed. "Time for some memories to be handled."
"Alright," Agradd says before leaning onto her.
Raven smiles and rubs his back slightly with comfort in his eyes. "Okay. Let's get this started," she says, throwing another ball away for Kez to chase.
Agradd nods and lets her do as she pleases.
'Let's kiss him this time,' Passion suggested happily.
'Passion!'
'Should we see what we are erasing before we erase?' Knowledge asks.
'Everyone be quiet and just enjoy this,' Raven thinks to them as she takes his hands and kisses him, leaving Agradd to push back against the kiss as they are pulled into his mindscape. "So how was your first real day out?" Raven asks, sorting through his memories and taking away the ones that are not needed.
"It was different and a bit of fun," Agradd asks as Raven finds a memory of Red Arrow and Cheshire kissing. "Oh, that one. Cheshire is Artemis's sister."
Raven hums as she pushes it away. "We can keep that one…but stay quiet on some of these memories. Artemis likes to play close to the chest."
"I see," Agradd says before Raven comes across the memory from when he was talking to Artemis in her mind.
"You think they will marry?" Raven asks.
"Yes, something inside of me tells me they are truly in love," Agradd says, sounding like he is unsure how he knows.
Raven smiles at that. "Fairies are about emotions. Their whole life revolves around it. But that doesn't mean you can't be like a human and pick up on a cue from others," she said proudly.
"Speaking of fairies, what about Adash? Any new news about her?" Agradd asks.
"None yet, they may still have her on ice if you pardon the phrase," Happy says showing up.
Agradd turns to them all as they all look at the memories. "Can I…speak to her?"
"You will have to wait for now. The league is holding her on the watchtower and, with all the chaos, I doubt they will just let you meet with her after what happened last time," Raven says.
"What if I could get some information out of her?" Agradd suggested.
"It's not that you shouldn't try, it's just the league is spread thin with all the magical creatures and after what she did, they would want to make sure they can contain her before questioning her," Raven informs.
Agradd now became quiet and goes back to sorting through his memories.
"Oh, and you and Artemis will be spending a lot of time together. She will be tutoring you for a bit," Raven informs.
"What will she teach me?" Agradd asks curiously.
"A few things. You will find out what later," Raven says erasing some more personal memories.
Agradd hums before thinking to something. "You will still be around, right?"
"Yes, but I will be researching and getting lessons prepared as well," Raven says.
"So what are you saying?" Superman asks as the founding members and a few others discussed issues. The current one being Agradd.
"I am saying he needs to learn more about the modern world. The best way to do that has him attend school. One preferably with members of the league or team with him. With a fake identity," Batman informs.
"Why is this needed Batman?" Wonder Woman asks.
"Because he needs to better understand our world," Batman informs.
"Agreed," John Stewart says.
"But we need to supplement it with magic lessons," Dr. Fate says.
"Raven and Zatanna are currently covering that," Batman informs.
"Aqualad may also be able to help him with water magic as well," Aquaman adds.
"Any objections?" Batman asks and gets no disagreements. "Very well, next consideration of inviting Cu Chulainn and the Banshee into the league," Batman says.
"So Artemis…Raven said you would be tutoring me?" Agradd asks sitting at the kitchen table with her.
"Yep. So we will learn about basic stuff for public things. You have mostly hung out with us. But you will soon be learning other things," Artemis informs.
"Like what?" Agradd asks before she holds out an apple and places it on the table. "…is this an offering most normal people do?"
Artemis smiles. "Actually, it's a lesson on control. Where you will dealing with many people at once, there will be something that catches your eye. Raven told me of how you tend to…grab and go. Mostly on artifacts and even spout out the obvious. That is not something normal people do as well," she lectures.
"I see," Agradd says.
Artemis nods as she watches him eye the apple. "You can have that," she says, making him look up to her. "See? Ask for permission first or wait for them to say it. But you must consider things twice. Sometimes…people say things one way but hiddenly they mean no. A cover really. So, if you see something you want, ask about it. Unless you absolutely know no one wants it. If you are with someone and you eye a possession of theirs, wait for them to say something about it. But don't ask for it just like that. Ask about it, learn about it, and then, if you know you can ask this, ask them what it means to them," she says, watching him take a bite of the apple. "I know this has to be a bit of a crash course but…"
"Did I invade Raven's personal space?" Agradd suddenly asks, putting down the apple.
"…explain what happened," Artemis says, sitting there to talk to him.
"…I met Raven and the others when I escaped…and she touched me by accident. I had many memories at the time, including hers. By the time she shifted through my memories, taught me what I know now, I started to notice something off. She did not treat me the same as when we met or when she first started teaching me. Instead, she started to personally take care of me, spend more time just talking or reading, and would ask to go with me if I ever went out…I…follow some feeling and eventually kissed her…did I invade her personal space?" Agradd ultimately asks.
"Oh…no, that's love," Artemis tries to explain as clear as possible.
"Love? I heard many say it…but it is usually when they are kissing and reproducing," Agradd says.
Artemis was about to explain further before catching what he said. "Repro…ducing?"
"Yes, the act of with a species makes an offspring," Agradd says.
"How…?" Artemis tries to ask. "How did you find out that term?"
"TV on animals," Agradd says,
Artemis groans as she drops her head onto the table. "Dodged a bullet right there."
"I still don't understand why it was a favorite channel in the tower," Agradd says,
Artemis stops right there for a moment. "I might have an idea."
"So what next?" Agradd asks.
"Learning basic algebra," Artemis states, holding up a book.
"What is algebra?" Agradd asks.
"Thank goodness I choose the first year," Artemis almost jokes as she opens the book and sets up a few papers and pencils.
Raven smiles as she watches a bit away but catches what he asked on the last bits of his story. 'Personal space, huh?'
'He can invade us anytime,' Passion states happily.
'Passion,' the rest groaned.
'We can tell him when he comes to rest,' Anger says, all of them watching Agradd write down what he can and learn from it as Artemis guides him.
'Why was the nature channel favorited?' Knowledge asks.
'Isn't it obvious?' Passion asks in a sing-song tone.
'Who wants to 'talk' to Beast Boy?' Anger asks almost threateningly.
'I say we neuter him,' Rude says.
'Yeah. How dare he makes Agradd watch something like that when we can teach him,' Passion declares and almost every single one of them smiles before catching what she said and they all give her a look. 'He's going to see us anyway. I was thinking a few poses and maybe us still being a teacher.'
'He seemed disinterested with the mating though,' Knowledge interjects.
'And he doesn't have a handle on his emotions that much…that's another thing. We need to see what we can do about that as his powers lie with those emotions,' Brave informs.
'Where is Happy?' Rude asks.
They all look around and try to spot her before they see Happy watching memories of them kissing him. 'He's got a handle on this part. Some happiness is coming through. Maybe start with happiness and go from there,' Happy suggested.
'Happy, why did I find this in your domain?' Passion asks with a smirk, showing a memory of Agradd bathing.
Happy grins. 'Good show…and Raven asleep.'
All the other emoticlones look at her with a blank stare before one by one, their hands start to glow with magic aimed at her.
'Uh…you going to give me more memories, right?' Happy tries to ask.
'We had a rule Happy,' Rude says.
'No hogging memories,' Anger adds.
Happy tries to laugh now before screaming as she flew away with black beams firing at her.
Raven smiles all the while as they chased Happy and she got to see the memories she hogged to herself. 'Not bad ones…but let's keep them in a vault until the time is right to be distracted by them,' she thinks to the others as she walks off.
