"So how has Agradd's tutoring been going?" Aqualad asks Artemis as those who were apart of the team, current and former living in mount justice, was sitting and eating breakfast together.
"Pretty well actually. He is catching onto normal studies so he can fit into school easily at the current time," Artemis informs smiling.
"How long will that take?" Connor asks.
Artemis hums as she thinks about it. "About a month or so for simple foundation things. After which, he can easily learn what he can from school."
"That's if he goes," Robin says.
"We can't keep him cooped up in here," Megan argues calmly.
"That is for the league to decide. After all, Cadmus has made a confirmed attempt to kidnap him and possible other attempts to do other things," Aqualad says.
"They might if they approve it all and send a hidden squad to watch," Artemis theorized.
"Like you, Barbra, and Robin in Gotham schools?" Wally asks.
Robin looks at Wally and just frowns as Artemis sighs. "Come to think of it, my final year of high school starts soon. I wonder how all these magical creatures and stuff will affect it?" Artemis says.
"Interesting?" Robin quips.
"Does this mean Robin will be going back to school?" Connor asks.
Robin stares at them but only takes a small bite of food.
"Oh, Kaldur, Raven wanted me to pass on a request," Artemis says.
"And that is?" Aqualad asks, watching Robin carefully.
"She wants help continuing Agradd's training in water magic and she thinks, by being from Atlantis, you could help him more than she can at this point," Artemis says.
Aqualad hums. "I can try. But Altaian magic is different from fairies, even if it is the same effect."
"She mentioned that too. She said that a diverse style can help him pick up on more styles of magic and be prepared for anything," Artemis adds.
"I see," Aqualad says before taking a drink of his coffee.
"So has anyone been making friends with the rest of the Titans?" Artemis asks.
"I find Cyborg and Beast Boy fun," Wally says.
"Obviously," Aqualad says smiling.
"I like Starfire. She and I have a lot of fun together," Magan says.
"Another obvious move," Artemis says smiling. "Now…Raven and Robin? How did things go?" she asks everyone.
"I think you are forgetting someone," Connor says.
They all look around and try to look for Agradd. "Where is he anyway?" Megan asks.
"I would guess in bed, but not who I was talking about," Connor says.
"Playing…sleeping…whatever," Robin shrugs at.
The team started to look between themselves at that.
"Or causing trouble," Robin adds at the end.
"Can we just get it out in the open already?" Wally asks, tensing everyone up a bit and making Artemis facepalm.
"Well, I guess it is time to be more direct with Wally's lack of tact. The reason this was arranged as there are some feelings that need to be aired," Artemis says.
Robin looks up and watches his former team.
Aqualad, Megan, and Connor look a bit ashamed with what was said.
"Maybe to start…why leave?" Aqualad starts, most of them mow putting down their utensils.
"I wanted to distance myself from Batman and what was related to him," Robin answers.
The entire table was silent, even the normal personal on the watchtower knew how bad the falling out between the two was.
"Did you have to sever ties with us?" Connor asks, this time making Robin look guilty.
Robin sighs and keeps looking away. "Too many connections."
"Do you regret it?" Artemis asks, putting a hand over Wally's mouth.
Robin stays silent, trying to consider his choices that he has made over the time in Jump City.
The table was silent until a maned head appeared on the side of the table, sniffing the bacon.
They all look over before a certain lion head snaps at the bacon and takes it away to chew happily.
"Well Kez is awake," Aqualad says.
"Where has he been sleeping anyways?" Megan asks.
"Wolf or Agradd I hear," Artemis answers.
"Seems Wolf has a new playmate at least," Robin says before noticing the ham was now missing.
They look to see Wolf chewing on the ham happily as Kez lays beside him and keeps chewing his bacon.
"Oh, come on Wolf," Connor says facepalming.
Megan chuckles a bit at that. "At least we don't have to worry with just Sphere playing with Wolf. We can have Kez spend time with him."
"It's good Raven wiped up that magical tail guard so we don't have to worry about it shooting out that spines," Artemis says.
Kez's spines erect as it kept eating happily, but it doesn't shoot out as it would now.
"So Dick, will you answer?" Wally asks.
Robin sighs as they went back to that question. One that haunts him at times. "…sometimes…but my friends make me realize where I stand now."
"Recognized, Green Arrow," the computer calls as the zeta tube activated and soon out came Green Arrow and the Hive Five. "Whoa," Mammoth says looking around.
"I'm guessing they have to be here now," Conner asks as everyone gets up and walks over to the new arrivals.
"Right, this is where you will be staying and working from. If you have questions, ask Aqualad, Miss Martian, Superboy, or Kid Flash," Green Arrow informs. "Sorry I can't get you all settled in, but I am need in Egypt. Apparently, a giant scorpion is running around," Green Arrow explained before heading back to the zeta tube.
"I guess breakfast is over," Wally says.
"Miss Martian, you got this?" Aqualad asks.
"Sure. I can even handle myself if something happens," Megan says.
"Did he mention a giant scorpion?" Robin asks a bit surprised.
"Let's hope this doesn't become a normal thing," Artemis voices a bit worried.
"Holy cow Billy, is that there a giant wolf?" Billy asks.
Wolf growls as he picks up his head and stares them all down.
"It sure is Billy. Think it will let us ride it?" Billy asks.
Wolf barks loudly to them and sends them taking a step back from the force of it.
"Billy, help with moving in," Mammoth calls at them.
"Sure thing," all the Billys cheer.
"And don't damage any of my equipment!" Gizmo yells.
"How is he doing?" Raven asks Artemis who was getting something from the fridge while Agradd worked at the table.
Artemis smiles a bit. "Fine actually. He is picking up quicker than I thought on many subjects."
"What is he lagging on?" Raven asks.
"Surprisingly, english," Artemis says, a bit confused.
"What is your worst subject by chance?" Raven asks.
"I want to say english as well," Artemis says.
"Well, have you considered the reason he is doing so well is from the knowledge from the memories he has gotten?" Raven asks.
Artemis stops and turns to her surprised. "I…never considered that. If that's true…then…"
"He did say that they brought him many people to take the memories so they can learn what each one had that was important to him…" Raven sighs and looks to Agradd. "There were over a thousand unique types."
"He mentioned you erase memories, right?" Artemis asks.
"Yes, I do. Too many from multiple people and they start to overwhelm him," Raven informs.
"But he retains knowledge after you erase them, right?" Artemis asks.
Raven stares at her before walking over to Agradd and sits across from him, catching his attention. "Agradd…how much do you remember…especially from before we met you? And I mean the memories I banished."
"I remember the crimes the thug that I used my power on committed," Agradd informs.
"And…these?" Raven asks, looking to the books and paperwork in front of him.
"Some seem familiar," Agradd says.
"And this?" Raven asks writing a few things.
"Your measurements," Agradd answers simply, making Artemis cover her face as it turns red from hearing that.
Raven was about to lift a hand to touch him before Passion stops her. 'Now sweetie, he's going to learn that soon. Let him imagine as much as he wants,' she says, pushing her hand down.
Agradd lifts the paper that Raven wrote on and soon it went up in flames. "I don't wish for anyone else to learn that and I know it is not proper to share," Agradd says.
Raven slowly smiles before getting up and walking to him, giving a small kiss on his head. "Thank you," she whispered before walking back to Artemis. "That's a yes. I took that away…but it might be possible his own memories saw and copied them basically."
"Hum," Artemis says as she thinks how that would be good to get information from someone.
Raven catches her thoughts and frowns. "Don't turn into Cadmus. That's exactly what happened."
"Alright, but it could help," Artemis says.
"No," Raven says firmly, giving a slight glare.
'Hands off our hubby!' Passion declares, shaking a fist at her.
"I mean if he continues being a hero like us. If he could possess a villain, we could bring them in without a fight or even find out what their plan is," Artemis says, making Raven pause.
"I've been thinking that," Agradd spoke up, still trying to work.
'It would make it easy on taking down enemies, but we don't know the limitations of it,' Knowledge says.
'But…' Brave starts.
'If we are going to do this, we need to train his magic more and test his ability more so we can know it's limitations,' Knowledge cuts off.
'Lots of training incoming…we're going to have fun,' Brave cheers at.
'We should also get Aqualad to start helping with water magic to quicken the process,' Knowledge adds.
'Maybe we should start training almost…what? Tomorrow?' Brave asks, giving a few air punches.
'After his studying here,' Raven informs.
They all hum as they watch Agradd work lost in a small trance.
"This it?" Agradd asks, showing Gizmo an image of a creature.
"Yeah, this is the fragen thing that nearly took out my equipment," Gizmo says at the table.
"That is a Thunderbird. It's mentioned quite frequently in Native American legends," Agradd informs.
"Thunderbird," Gizmo says, starting to use his gear to look for information.
Agradd went back to eating with the rest of the hive five when Aqualad walked in. "Agradd, we have an assignment."
"We are going to try and recruit someone," Aqualad says.
"Why not bring one of them then?" Agradd asks.
Aqualad looks to the group and they try to look busy except Jinx who shrugs and gets up. "Let's get going."
"Who else is coming?" Jinx asks as she follows with Agradd to see Superboy, Miss Martian, Raven, and Robin waiting for them.
"I thought only Agradd was coming," Robin says.
"Wanted to come along. He offered," Jinx explains, looking to Agradd.
"So what are we doing?" Artemis asks walking up.
"You ever heard of Static Shock and Gear?" Aqualad asks.
"Two teenage heroes. They are based in Dakota," Jinx says.
They all look to her at that.
"What? The bad guys traded info as well," Jinx informs.
"And what else?" Aqualad presses.
"Not many go there. Not profitable unless you are looking to recruit some superpowered thugs, but let me put it this way. None of them were good enough to be invited to the hive academy," Jinx informs.
"That bad, huh?" Robin asks.
Jinx smirks. "Just that there isn't much to look at."
"And I am guessing we are going because of these two, right?" Agradd asks.
"That is right," Aqualad says bringing images of the two up on the monitor. "The league says it's time for the team to get active again," Aqualad says.
"About time," Artemis informs.
"Again?" Agradd asks.
"The team has been on standby for a while now. We have not run any solo missions," Aqualad says.
Agradd raises an eyebrow before looking slowly to Robin as he realizes something, but won't say it.
"Static and Gear will be given an invitation to join us in person," Aqualad says.
"So a snatch and grab?" Robin asks.
"And asking nicely," Aqualad adds.
"So how are we getting there?" Agradd asks as Kez climbs onto his back.
"Our bioship," Aqualad points out, leading them to the hanger now.
"What's a Bioship?" Jinx asks.
"It feels…weird," Agradd could only say, feeling just the basic structure of the ship as they flew hiddenly in the air.
"Weird nothing. This is unnerving," Jinx says.
"It's…almost as if…it is judging us," Agradd tries to describe.
Kez yawns from his spot on Agradd.
"She can be like that," Aqualad says.
"So it is alive," Agradd says, pulling his hand away now.
"Yes, Martian made," Aqualad says.
"And you just had this?" Jinx asks looking at Robin.
"I don't…" Robin slowly says.
"We are also invisible right now," Artemis adds.
"We are!?" Jinx yells.
"Is it silent?" Agradd asks immediately.
"As far as we know," Robin says and Agradd soon slumped in his seat.
"Then I shall keep her quiet. Also, she was entertaining the idea of stealing the ship for a moment," Jinx spoke.
"The ship is alive and wouldn't allow that," Artemis adds.
"She's pouting now," Agradd explains, looking over Jinx's body and trying to conjure some small magic she knows to see what it is like.
"Agradd, please don't," Raven says.
"She says do it," Agradd points out.
"Agradd, who are you going to listen to?" Raven asks.
"I always listen to you," Agradd answers immediately, sounding a bit afraid for still pushing it.
'Wiped,' Jinx says in her mind as Agradd leaves.
Agradd rubs his head and looks to Jinx as she stretches out the trouble.
Raven, seeing this, gets up and walks over to Agradd to start erasing the memories.
"So that's really what it feels like, huh?" Jinx asks herself before seeing Raven kissing Agradd while both are lost in a small trance. "And that's just taking advantage."
Raven smiles as she pulls away and walks back to her seat as Agradd gives a small smile.
"Didn't he use his power on you once already?" Robin asks.
"To just knock me out," Jinx grumbles.
"You were conscious the entire time," Agradd reminds.
"And half knocked out," Jinx points out.
"We are coming up on our destination. Starting to scan for any mention of Static," Aqualad says.
Agradd hums as he leans over and looks out the window, looking to the city and how both run down it looks and some very clean. "Disparity."
"Found something. The police reporting they have sighted five 'bang babies' causing mayhem. Static and Gear will show up," Aqualad says.
Jinx scoffs. "Even that term is hated, but mostly they are weak to even someone like Billy. And Billy's nothing."
"So we go and say hello to these five or we wait for the two?" Artemis asks getting out her bow.
"The latter, setting ship to automated mode," Aqualad says standing up.
"What are they doing anyway?" Robin asks, all of them standing in the middle and getting ready.
"Robbery," Aqualad says simply before a hole opens up under them and they landed on the roof of a building. "Inside right now getting some money from a safe. Now we just wait."
"Come on man. Let's go!" Kangor calls.
"And that's them," Megan says as they look over the edge.
"That's Hot Streak, one of those with any potential. He has a form of pyrokinesis," Jinx informs, pointing out one of the five.
"Miss Martian, stay with the ship for this fight," Aqualad informs.
"What do you think fire, water, or ice?" Agradd asks.
"Fill the air with moisture, ice," Raven answers as they kept watching.
Agradd nods and his cloak and hair started turning ice white with Kez moving to sense something was about to happen.
Kez immediately jumps off of him and lands onto Jinx who tries to grab and hold him before Agradd sends a magic blast down to the ground. The energy blast landing and hitting the ground, freezing it ice cold and even sending snow everywhere which made piles of them, looking almost like a winter storm took place right in front of the building. And Hot Streak was right in the line of sight and shakes off the snow and ice on him as he glares up to the roof.
"What the heck! Where did a blizzard come from?" Hot Streak asks shivering.
"…how cold did you make it?" Raven asks after a while.
"I could go colder," Agradd informs smirking.
Raven smiles a bit more. "They are going to freak if we go out there at full power."
"Miss Martian," Aqualad says before they were all mind-linked.
'Kez. Here boy,' Raven calls.
Kez growls and jumps into her arms.
'You want to join us?' Brave asks.
Kez stares at them before grinning, extending his spines.
'No spikes though, but you can play with one like one of your balls,' Raven informs.
'Should I fix his size?' Agradd asks.
'How would you do that?' Robin asks.
'Raven taught me how to grow food when I am more hungry than usual,' Agradd explains.
'What?' most of them ask.
'I ate the food on one of the fridge shelves one time. That's why Cyborg couldn't find the pizza,' Agradd explains as he takes Kez and holds him while his hand charges with magic.
'You are forgetting that spell has a time limit,' Knowledge reminds.
'Ok. Is it weird I am hearing multiple Ravens?' Jinx asks.
'Get used to it,' most of them say.
'I like hearing them,' Agradd says, putting his glowing hand onto Kez.
'Because of my powers, each emotion I have basically takes on a likeness of its own like a clone,' Raven explains.
'Rage say hi,' Agradd thinks.
'Tell her to go f&*^ herself,' Rage calls.
They all slowly turn to Megan at that censor. 'I got drilled to at least try and hide that.'
'Rage, I can practically sense what you are about to do. Will you not do it for me?' Agradd asks.
Rage growls lowly at that but doesn't say anything.
'Passion, what is that smirk?' Happy asks.
'Nothing…' Passion sang almost evilly.
'What is it?' Raven growled before she faced Jinx and her cloak turned purple. "Hum…I would hit it," Raven says pointing to Jinx.
"That's Passion," Agradd says, pulling Passion back by her shoulders. "Take it easy. She's new," he says as Jinx blushes and frowns at her.
The cloak soon turned back to blue. "If I could, I would kill Passion," Raven says clearly unhappy.
Agradd remained silent for a bit before leaning over. "…I like her…" he whispers.
Raven stops.
'…he…likes me…' Passion says in shock.
'Focus,' Robin says to all on the telepathic link.
'Sorry,' Agradd apologizes.
'Wasn't there supposed to be four more…now five?' Raven asks, her emoticlones poking Passion and trying to see what got her stiff as a board.
They all look down and see no one there now. 'We spend too much time joking,' Agradd says, going back to Kez and throws him down the building before he sends out a spell that made him grow in size and slide down the building with his claws before landing. 'He'll sniff them and find them. Shall we?'
They all look to each other before jumping down over to the ground and starts to follow the sniffing Kez. 'If he beats Wolf in hunting time, I will give him some meat,' Megan jokes.
Kez picks up speed and starts to give a jogging pace.
'What is that noise?' Agradd asks.
'Shocks of electricity,' Robin describes.
'Does that mean…?' Agradd asks.
'We found our people,' Aqualad says.
They kept running along and chasing after Kez who then stops in front of them of a park area with signs of damage and explosions left behind on a path leading into the park. 'Kez…stay behind a bit. You can have any that comes out,' Agradd actually orders and makes Raven proud at how much he taking some leads. Leaving the others to run into the park and find a battle raging in a clearing.
'How do we play this?' Agradd asks before finishing casting his spell on Kez to reset his time limit.
'Thin them out and separate,' Aqualad and Robin both say and makes them look to each other.
'Everyone split up. Raven, help Static. Jinx, with me. Aqualad, help Gear. Superboy, the one with a speaker in his chest is all yours. Artemis and Agradd, take out the one with fire,' Robin calls.
'You got an arrow that has the fire extinguisher foam?' Agradd asks.
Artemis smirks as she takes out a certain arrow. 'Got a few.'
"You want me to open up or would you?" Agradd asks humorously polite as if he was asking if she would like him to open the door for her.
Artemis smiles as she takes out her bow. "Give me a bit of water, just in case," she says aiming.
"You don't want me to freeze him?" Agradd asks.
Artemis chuckles as she lets loose the arrow, striking down near Hotstreak's feet and made him grunt in surprise when a flood of fire extinguisher foamed him down, leaving him covered in foam. The others of the troubled group having their own surprise as Kangor was quickly watered down by Aqualad, Boom being quickly knocked off his feet when Superboy punched the ground and sent him flying a bit, Carmen Dillo being tied up by Robin's boola and then blasted by Jinx to make him roll up, leaving Shiv to be blasted away by Raven's magic while he was distracted by what he was seeing.
"So you guys like to gang up, huh?" Robin asks as most of them were either leaning against or on some of the playgrounds.
Everyone looks over and sees everyone on the team on the playground and even Agradd looking over to Raven as she smirks happily. "I love freaking them out," she says chuckling a bit.
"Take them," Aqualad says before all seven jumped into action.
"Hey hothead, how about you chill?" Agradd says before sending a blast of freezing air at Hotstreak.
Hotstreak shivers as he glares at them before shaking off the foam and conjures up a fireball before tossing it at him, making Agradd jump out of the way. Agradd was quick to dodge and watches as the fireball hits and leaves some foaming grass behind. Agradd quickly sends out some water and douses the fire. "I wonder what happens to the damage after all this? Is it easy to fix?"
"Every city has a superpower repair fund," Artemis says before shooting more arrows at Hotstreak.
"Oddly specific," Agradd says getting up and charging more magic.
"It's that common," Artemis says as Hotstreak tries to dodge, but one of the arrows pins his pants leg to the ground.
Agradd makes a water ball before throwing it at him and then sending a flash freeze of magic that freezes the water ice cold when it splashed on him, snuffing out the flames.
Hotstreak growls as he starts to build up the heat inside him, trying to melt the ice before ducking in fear as Artemis fired an arrow that somehow changed into a boxing glove. He then runs behind a tree that gets splashed on by water from Agradd as he looks to his hands and tries to spark a fire from them. "Come on. Work you stupid powers," he mutters, seeing sparks of flames, but not lighting up as it should.
Hotstreak looks around the tree and pulls his head back when an arrow went past where his head was. He shakes his arm, getting the rest of the water off before lightning up his hand. "Finally," he grins at before throwing his arm around the tree and sends off a streak of fire towards the two, making them dive away to the sides. Hotstreak nods happily before coming out from behind the tree and puts both his hands together and sends off a stream of fire that makes a wall of fire that separates the two.
Artemis frowns as she quickly gets up and notches another arrow. Hotstreak notices her aiming at him and turns his fire to her before she aims down at the ground and shoots. The arrow hitting the grass and making it cold and covered in ice. Hotstreak looking confused to the ground before he gets shoved from behind and ends up sliding along the ice towards Artemis. Herself firing another arrow that changes into a boxing glove and hits him in the head, making him flip around, still towards Artemis. She then uses her bow and let's go while throwing it and then grabs the end, swinging down hard and sends him to the ground. Artemis pants in relief as the ice breaks and she looks up to see Agradd standing where Hotstreak was and him staring at the state of him groaning in pain.
"Hey…" Artemis calls, getting his attention. "You did well."
Agradd slowly nods and looks to the rest in whatever situation they have. Static and Raven blasting their energies at Shiv's sword like hands, pushing him back a lot and even grinding up the ground. The combined overlord of energies becoming too much and Shiv ends up being blasted away. Aqualad and Gear tag teaming as Gear throws down some zap-caps and distracts Kangor while Aqualad rushes in and start to melee him, swiping his feet away before knocking him a few times in the chest. Aqualad moving away again and letting Gear throw a few zap-caps around him, shocking and distracting him for Aqualad to hit the finishing punch and knock him upside the head, knocking him out onto his back. Boom never stood a chance as Superboy kept messing up the ground an throwing him off balance, he could never aim properly and ends up being punched in the face enough to win by classic knockout.
"Oh, forget this," Carmen Dillo calls out as he rolls up and rolls away from Robin and Jinx. Agradd then whistles loudly and Kaz jumps down in front of him and knocks the rolled up villain into the air and rolls onto his back before he keeps swiping at the now captured villain like a cat with a yarn ball. "Hey! Make him stop!"
'Hey. We found our familiar a toy,' Happy says.
"Seriously! I'm getting sick!"
"Be glad he isn't hungry!" Agradd calls.
"Stop it all!"
"Kaz, put it down hard," Agradd says smirking.
Kaz looks a bit confused before nodding and slams Dillo into the air before rolling over and jumping up, slamming his paw down into the ball-shaped villain and sends him into the ground into a hole.
"Good boy," Agradd says as Kaz starts to shrink.
'I think we found a better pet than those unicorns,' Knowledge says smiling.
"Now onto the matter we originally came from," Aqualad spoke up, all of them turning to Static and Gear.
