Ash and Dawn were on the one end of the battlefield, while Dell and Layla were on the other. Fantina served as the referee.
"So Ash, which Pokemon will you be choosing?" Asked Dawn.
Ash held up Gengar's pokeball. Since one of the opponents specailizes in normal types, a ghost type would be a fair matchup, but then again he's also up agaist a dark-type trainer who Gengar has a type disadvange against.
"Well, which pokemon will you use?" asked the Pallet town trainer.
Dawn then turned her head toward Piplup. "Ready to shine Piplup?" She asked thed pengiun. "Of course! he replied.
"Are you ready trainers? Battle Begin!" Announced Fantina.
"Porygon Z, Come on out!" said Dell and she threw her pokeball.
"Weavile, Let's skate!" Said Layla as she threw hers.
The computer bird and black cat weasel appered on the battlefield.
"Well in that case, Gengar I choose you!" Ash summoned the purple ghost to the battlefield.
"Piplup, i choose you!" Dawn called. The blue pengiun walked up to the battlefeld.
"What's this? You have a Gengar as well?" Fantina Awed.
"Yeah, a trainer abandoned it and it's mine now. It's along long story." Ash explained
"Porygon Z..." Goh looked up the pokemon on his pokedex.
Porygon Z, The Virutal pokemon. A normal-type. Due to a faulty update, Its begin acting oddly. Academics can't even agree if it's an acual evolution of Porygon.
"Hmm... Wonder if i can cath one." Goh wondered as he put away his pokedex.
Fantina raised both her hands. "Ready begin!"
"We'll get the first move! Piplup, Hydro Pump!" Dawn ordered
"Genger Shadow ball!" Ash ordered.
Piplup fired a strem of water while Gengar fired a ball of darkness.
"Porygon Z, reflect!" Dell Commanded.
"Weaville use Surf!" Layla did so too.
Porygon Z summoned a barrier that canceled out the incoming attacks while Weaville summoned a wave heading toward the ghost and pnguin.
"Dodge and use Ice Beam!" Dawn commaned.
Piplup Dodged the wave and shot beams of ice.
"Dodge it, Porygon Z!" The Virtual pokemon did so.
"Now Drill peck!" Dawn commanded.
"Use Ice punch!" Ash commanded.
Piplup's beak glowed to a white blade while Gengar's hand glowing with icey energy.
"Dodge it!" both opponets declaired.
Weaville dodged many of piplup's Drill pecks, but was evenutally hit. Same goes for Porygon Z and Ice punch.
"Finally, some worthy opponets. You've the first trainer ever to lay a hit on our pokemon." Layla commented.
"But now it's time to go all out." Dell declared. "Tri attack, let's go!"
Porygon Z fired beams of Fire, Electricity and Ice at the penguin.
"Block it Gengar!" Ash called hoping to block the normal type attack with his ghost-type.
"Use Dark Pulse!" Layla commaned.
Gengar tried to take the non-effecting attack. But was hit from the super effective dark type move. Leaving Piplup to take the hit.
"Piplup! Are you alright?" Dawn asked worrily.
"I'm fine ow!" The pengiun pokemon had small bits of fire around his body.
"What's wrong with piplup?" Chloe asked.
"Tri attack has the chance to burn, paralyze, or freeze the opponent." Kanah said. "And it seems that Piplup got the burning effect."
Piplup still got up and contined the fight. "Alright, then Piplup use Whirlpool!" Dawn shouted
The pengiun pokemon created vortex of water and the Porygon Z and Weaville got caught in the vortex.
"Now ride the whirlpool! She said.
"You too Gengar!"
Gengar and Piplup got into the vortex of water and
"Freeze it with Ice Beam at the whirlpool!" Layla commanded.
The Ice and Dark type fired a beam around the water, Frezing the whirlpool long with Piplup and Gengar's feet.
"Great! Now Poison jab! on Piplup!" Layla shouted
"Zen Headbutt on Gengar!" Dell Commanded.
Weaville's claws turned Purple as it charged at it's opponent with poisonus energy, while Porygon Z charge at Gengar with Psychic energy in it's head.
"Pry it wih drill peck!" Dawn commaned
"Do the same with Ice Punch!"
Pilup Pryed Weaville's attack with his beak, while Gengar punched Porygon Z's head with an Icy punch.
"Thunder wave!" Dell commanded.
Porygon Z launched a wave of electricity at the two opponents, but they broke free from the ice just in time.
Dawn then turn to Ash.
"I think we should try a combo move."
"Agreed." Ash said. "Gengar use Shadowball!"
"Piplup! Combine it with Hydro Pump!"
The two pokemon combined thier attack, but the women smirked at this.
"Tri attack again!"
"Comnine it with Ice Beam!"
Porygon Z and Weaville combined thier moves together. The four attacks collided canceling each other out.
Ash knew what fanitnia was talking about
"Man you weren't kidding when you said they're strong." Ash told Fantina.
"See i told you so. she said.
Ash then turned toward the opponnets.
"Well I guess it's time I used this." Ash grabbed Gengar's pokeball and recalled his ghost and poison type.
Ash's Dynamax band begin to glow, as well as Gengar's Pokeball as it grew.
"Alrightie! Gengar giagantamax!" Ash said as he threw the pokeball at the pokeball, releasing Gengar in his Gigantamax form.
"Whoa! Did your pokemon just grow to the size of a gaint?" Dawn suprisenly said as she never witnessed Dynamaxing much less Gigantamaxing before.
"It's called Gigantamaxing." Ash explained.
"So this is the power of Gigantmax. All the worth more challening." Layla stated. "Alright Weavile, use Dark Pulse!
"Use Zen headbutt again!" declared Dell.
"Gengar use Max Hailstorm! Shouted Ash.
Gengar summoned gaint hail chunks toward the battlefeild.
Porygon Z and Weaville dodged the gaint hail only to have thier attacked canceled out by two chunks of ice.
Then smaller peice of hail begin falling down.
"That's Max Hailstorm's secondary effect." Said Sly. "When used it creates a hail."
"Porygon Z, Use Reflect to protect yourself and Weavile!" Commanded Dell.
The computer bird did so. but now they were open to the sides.
"There's our opening! Piplup, use Hydro Pump!" Dawn commanded.
Piplup shot a blast of water. This time, it hit both targets.
"Gengar use Max Phantasm!" Ash commanded.
Gengar summoned levitating furniture and slamed them at Porgygon Z and Weavile.
"No way!" Layla shouted.
"Uh-oh!" Dell worried.
"Time to wap this up, Piplup, Whirlpool again!" Dawn pumped her fist in the air.
"Gengar, use Max Mindstorm!" Ash did the same
Piplup created another whirlpool while Gengar fired rings of mind waves. The psychic rings and ice beam combined and hit the two pokemon, creating a smoke cloud.
"Porygon Z!" Dell yelled
"Weaville!" Layla shouted in shock.
Both pokemon were laying on the round with swirly eyes.
Fantina raised her hand toward Ash and Dawn's side. "Porygon Z and Weaville are unable to battle, which means the winners are Ash and Dawn!"
"Alright! We did it!" Cheered Ash.
"We sure did!" Dawn did as well
"Hi five!" Piplup cheered! as he and Gengar did so.
"Score 1 for The A team!" Gengar cheered as well.
"They won!" Chloe said with joy
"I knew they could do it!" Goh proudly said
"Hmm...pretty good so far..." Windsor said
Dell and Layla returned thier pokemon to thier pokeballs.
"Not bad." Said Layla. "You've the first trainers to beat us!"
"I've never had such an amazing battle!" Dell complimented.
"Thanks!" Ash said.
"Glad to please you." said Dawn.
"Well then." Chrisanto said as he and Sly came to Ash. "Looks like we're up next."
"You and Goh better get ready." said Sly.
"Oh we will." said Ash as he turn to Goh
He gave him a nod while Goh returned with a nod back.
