Battle Ready

"GAH DIE" Bakugou roared as he blasted the hordes of mooks that threw themselves in his way.

With him was the spikey red-haired Kirishima who had been sent sucked here with him by that fog bastard that attacked them. "Yo, how you holding up dude?! The hardened quirked hero called as he bashed some villains in. Kirishima for his part felt, honestly horrible. When the fog guy appeared, he didn't think for a moment when he saw it, damn the consequences he just raced forward and ended up getting in 13's way. 'How could I be so stupid he heckled himself, 'I-I have to do something, but there's so many of them!'

Frustrated beyond belief and engulfed by the current battle he never noticed when a little purple butterfly flew down and rested on his belt.

His mind went blank for a moment as he fought on autopilot, his focus drawn to a new consciousness that found itself burrowed in his head.

"Eijiro Kirishima, your heart is filled with despair and guilt, you feel turmoil for the consequences of your recklessness, let me help you atone for your mistake."

Confused Kirishima looked around searching for the source of the voice, "w-who?"

"I am Izuku Midoriya your classmate, I am using my quirk to communicate with you telepathically and if you accept my offer I can give you unrivaled power, do you accept?"

"Why me though, I caused all this by attacking that fog dude and getting in 13's way, shouldn't you give it someone more worthy?"

"We all make mistakes my friend, but the true test of character comes in what we do after. Would you rather refuse out of fear of doing something wrong or try anyway to help in any way you can? Do you want to hide in fear, or be my champion and fight to protect?"

A wicked smile cracked on both boys' faces as Kirishima punched a villain square in the face, "I choose to fight!"

"Then I choose you as my champion, Ruby Rager!"

"He went still as his body was encased in a dark sludge."

"What the hell?!"

"What is that?"

"HUH? What You All Gaping At You- huh?" Bakugou yelled as the villains backed away only stopping as he noticed he noticed the purple glow.

"Ohhohoho Man!" Kirishima's voice bellowed out as the glowing sludge morphed its shape, "This feels so, so, MANLY!"

The symbol over Izuku's eyes dissipated as he yanked his cane from the floor and turned to face his cohorts, only to find them sufficiently spooked by his display. "What?"

Ring Ring Ring

As his cane began to shake "Oh- Hold on, ello?"

"Hey Flyboy! What happened to all of you? This living vape cloud said he "scattered [you all] across the USJ."

"Oh yeah, me, Mineta, and Asui," "Tsu," "Tsu, are here in the flood zone.

"Coo-" She was suddenly cut off by a loud ferocious roar rage across the USJ, that she could swear caused the pebbles nearby to hop around "...what did you do?"

"... See you soon!"

"Wha-Fly Boy! Flyboy? ... (sigh) what am I gonna do with you Midoriya." Melissa bemoaned as her partner hung up. She was currently with some of her other classmates at the entrance trying to fight off the mist villain only for all of their attacks to go right threw it. 'All we need is to get this guy down for a minute so we can get those doors open and get Iida threw.' She looked at her yo-yo. 'I'd rather prefer to not use my Lucky Charm, but if that's what it takes…" LUCKY CH-"

"DIE!"

A familiar voice roared as the Mist villain was launched back by against explosion. Confused at first the students looked up at an unimaginable sight, above them was a giant, scaly, winged Kirishima. His hair was darkened with clear horns while every part of his scarlet body save for his chest was a light red. On one shoulder sat Tsu and a terrified Mineta while on the other was a maniacally grinning Bakugou pointing a freshly fired gauntlet at where the villain had just been. And floating just nearby was a familiar fancy friend.

"Holy Smokes Kiri, what happened?" An excited Mina cheered running up to her red friend.

"Heh, got myself a little pick me up!" Ruby Rager boasted, his voice loud and growling.

"Never felt this amazing before, like I could fight a mountain, like I could fight All Might himself!

"Let's save that for the villains." Izuku joked before turning to Melissa, "Catch me up, what's the plan?"

"Keep this cloud still and get those doors open so Iida can make a dash for campus so he can notify the teachers."

"I-I still don't know about this, leaving you all here…"

"Well, we don't have a choice, we need reinforcement, 13's down and Mr. Aizawa will only be able to handle so much before he goes down too!"

As if on cue the present class heard a cry of pain as the hand villains appeared to grab Aizawa by the elbow. He was able to fight the assailant off, but it was clear that whatever happened left him unable to use that arm.

"Looks like that may be happening sooner than later!" Izuku turned to Iida, "If you don't want to then I'll fly to school, not sure if our top speeds are the same but I at least won't be dealing with nearly as many obstacles while flying. While I'm doing that though I need you to run around the USJ and try to get as many of our classmates to safety, there's strength in numbers." He then turned to his Champion and partner, "After I get out of here you two give back up to Aizawa and if needed take over the fight while Iida or someone else gets him to safety. Agreed?" In response, he got a nod from his friends as Kirishima wrestled with the smoke being.

"Good now let's do this!"

Unfurling his wings, he began to fly towards the door. Seeing the escape attempt, the villain squirmed out of Kirishima's grasp and tried to reach Midoriya but was luckily stopped when both Sero and Melissa grabbed him by his metal collar with their tape/yo-yo and flung him hard enough that he managed to land near the fountain.

"Ruby Racer!"

"On It!"

Kirishima picked up a nearby piece of debris and threw it straight through the USJ door allowing Midoriya a way through.

Now the fight was on, a fight against villains and a fight against time, could they stay alive long enough to get help, could Izuku reach UA in time, could he get back before he timed out, none could say for certain. But one thing was clear, they will keep fighting till the end.

Author's Note

Yikes, this took longer than intended, sorry about that. In any case, surprised no one figured out it was Kiri.

If you're wondering why Deku didn't pick up Bakugou's reading, it'll explain later.

If you want to see more you can check out my other stuff, on that note, I will be putting one of those fics on hiatus but will be replacing it with a fic that I'll be updating regularly with Omakes from around the Deku-verse, which I might make into a proper fic of their own if there's enough support for it.

And like always feel free to leave comments/reviews cause I always love seeing them.\

LEGOBRICK13

Judging from the description of the student being a lone student, I believe it is Ojiro due to how in canon he states that he didn't do much other than hit-and-run tactics to keep the villains busy. Either Ojiro or Hagakure

Nope, it was Kiri, the main clue was meant to be that they made the problem, referring to how it was him and Bakugo attacking without thinking that gave the villain an opening.

keep up the amazing work! "Feelings of embraced Frustation & Self-hatred over the feeling of ineptitude, a Desire to help others but fear of worsening the problem they made"?! WHO THE HECK COULD T-H-A-T EVEN DESCRIBE?!

Glad you've liked all this and hope you liked my choice of Kiri.
