I do not own anything in these stories. All rights go to the creator Chris Savino and the current showrunner, Michael Rubiner. This is the last chapter that occurs in the Summer of 1986 as the next chapter will be the start of their next school year.
It was early afternoon of August 30, 1986 at the Loud House, and Vanzilla was pulling up to the driveway. When Vanzilla pulled into the driveway, it turns out that Lori has returned home from the grocery store with a bag of groceries as she opened the front door and called for her boyfriend and kids in the house.
"Bobby? Lincoln? Kids? Are you there?" Lori asked as she looked around but shrugged in fear and went to the kitchen to put the groceries in order.
After a few trips from the van and back, she heard some giggling and smirked, she had to look in the living room to see if someone is in there, she spies a piece of Lincoln's hair behind the couch cushions along with a piece of Bobby's hair.
"Hold on. I think I spy with my little eye something white and almost looks like white fur from a cat. And also something black and looks like black fur from a cat," Lori said to herself.
Lori proceeded to look behind the couch, and once she did, she not only found Bobby and Lincoln from behind the couch, but she also found Ronnie Anne and Lily behind the couch as well.
"Found you guys!" Lori said happily as she, Bobby, Lincoln, Ronnie Anne and Lily all laughed at one another.
"Hi, Mom. How was the shopping trip?" Ronnie Anne asked.
"Pretty much the same, Ronnie. I just brought back a bag of groceries," Lori replied.
"Well, I have to say, dear. That's about enough for all five of us to eat," Bobby added.
"Yeah, it sure is," Lori said softly as she rubbed their heads and went to the kitchen to get the groceries out of the bags.
After she got the groceries out of the bag, she begins to feel something inside of her mind as her mother and father have gone to their third honeymoon and the other sisters are hanging out with their grandfather, so Lori had the opportunity to watch over Lincoln, Ronnie Anne and Lily for a while with help from Bobby so that way she wouldn't look after all of her sisters in one not after what happened a couple of times during the summer, so they decided to let her stay with Bobby and the kids so that Lincoln wouldn't be alone.
Suddenly, when she got to the TV room, she found Bobby, Lincoln, Ronnie Anne and Lily watching Disney's Dumbo on an old VHS tape as Dumbo was one of their favorite movies to watch because it brought them all together.
Lori began to sit with them as she wrapped her arm around Lincoln and pulled him closer.
As she does so, it then fades to a flashback to a time when Lori was seven and her adopted son Lincoln was a year old back in mid-1976, baby Lincoln was in Lori and Leni's room playing, young Leni just got done putting a dress on her favorite Barbie doll, baby Lincoln just crawled to the doll and played with it, young Leni screams and took that doll from him.
"Lincoln, no touching my doll!" Young Leni said to the baby boy.
"Dodo Dodo," Baby Lincoln whimpered.
"Don't touch my doll, that's not to be played with," Young Leni said in anger but Baby Lincoln started crying which got Lori's attention.
"Leni, what are you doing?" Young Lori exclaimed.
"Lori, I don't want that twerp Lincoln touching my doll!" Young Leni yelled in anger.
"Leni, he's only a baby, and you can't be a good sister if you don't know how to be nice to him," Young Lori explained with reason.
"Really?" Young Leni realized and decided to make it up to Young Lincoln, "Aw I'm so sorry Lincoln, I didn't mean to take that from you, I don't like it when you touch my doll, would you like it if I take Bun-bun from you?"
"Boo boo?" Baby Lincoln asked sadly.
"Come on, sweetie," Young Lori took his hand, "Let's go to our room and play with Bun-bun."
"I wuv wou, Mommy," Baby Lincoln replied softly as he hugs Lori's arm as she picks up Lincoln and hugs him.
"I love you too, sweetheart! You'll always be my little baby boy," Young Lori said happily.
The flashback ends and it zooms back to the present day as Lori was crying quietly and softly, Bobby and the others were looking at Lori in concern.
"Mom, what's wrong?" Lincoln asked.
Without any response, Lori grabs Lincoln and hugs him as she begins to cry softly.
"Oh Lincoln, you were so cute when you were my little baby, even though we were six years apart. Your daddy and I just love you and the girls so much," Lori said as she cried softly, "I didn't mean for you and Lily, and even Ronnie Anne, to be treated so badly by Mom and Dad through the summer together. Bobby and I just wanted you kids to both enjoy such a delightful and fun summer."
"Mom, what are you talking about?" Lincoln asked Lori with worry.
"Look, it's about all those times this summer when we've been ganged up on," Lori said as she continued, "From the Sweet Spot Incident, to the big brawl at the supermarket, and the camping incident, the earbud incident, or when Lola was about to beat me up just for training Lola for an important pageant," Lori continued, "And let's not forget when they were pounding us for money, or that time Mom and Dad interfered with our fun at the beach this month."
"Oh, those times, I'm cringing about it," Lincoln commented.
"I'm cringing, too, dear," Bobby added.
"We all are, Mom," Ronnie Anne added in addition.
"Yeah, but I just couldn't believe Mom and Dad were both jerks to us. And it was all because I cared for you and was your adoptive mom, kids," Lori said softly to Lincoln and the others, "I never meant to give them any harm or anything, I acted like we all had control of the entire house and Bobby and I wanted to claim ourselves as the sisters' legal guardians, and we both were wanting to do all of that to protect you, and Ronnie Anne and Lily."
"Really, Mom? You did all of that to protect us?" Ronnie Anne asked in surprise.
"Yes, kids. We did. In fact, your father and I love you three more than ever," Lori said softly to them, "In fact, I've always been very nice and caring towards you all, though I often act like a legal guardian towards my sisters when they're around. But when it's the five of us, Bobby and Ni-Ni especially,, we are like a family. Just you, my dear son, your sisters Ronnie Anne and Lily, and me, your mother Lori and even your father, Bobby.
"We know, Mom," Lincoln replied sadly while Lori rocks him and warmly smiles down on him.
"Aw, honey, you are just so fragile and adorable, But you know, Bobby and I just always have a beautiful smile on my face for you and Lily as always," Lori said softly to Lincoln, "Plus, I think I remember the time when you said that I was all you needed when you were in Pre-Kindergarten, you used to tell your class mates about me, you were so very creative with your picture of you and me.
"Don't forget Lynn," Lincoln added.
"Yeah, I know, but you said that Lynn was your least favorite because she was really rough on you," Lori explained.
"Well, at least Lynn was nicer before she became obsessed with sports," Bobby added.
"Yeah, I remember," Lori commented.
"So, Mom, let me ask you a question," Ronnie Anne suggested.
"Go right ahead, Ronnie," Lori replied.
"Some people here in town claimed that Luna is our most favorite sister, but Lincoln and I don't really think it's true," Ronnie Anne said to Lori, "Why do they really believe that, Mom?"
"Well, you see, for the past five years, ever since the sixth grade, Lincoln, I have been having myself a long-time friend with me, and Bobby was the one that I fell in love with at first sight," Lori explained, "In fact, he and I have been falling madly in love with each other since eighth grade, and I've often been dating him before things got really bad in the house and he and I started living together like husband and wife."
"Oh, yeah, I remember that," Lincoln commented.
"Anyway, while I was making some dates with Bobby, Charlie was starting to get along with us and he was like really funny, we used to help him with his school projects and that's about it, but it didn't last for long, you know what happened next right?" Lori continued.
"You stuck with Daddy?" Ronnie Anne asked in surprise.
"Yes, Ronnie Anne. He annoyed me when your father and I were trying to talk to my friends, he wanted all the attention for us, but Bobby thankfully told him to stop because he was boring and we were kind of bored of him, we weren't happy with him anymore," Lori finished.
"Yeah, and I thought Clyde was annoying at the time," Ronnie Anne commented.
"That's true, guys, at 10th grade, that's when Bobby and I still fell madly in love with one another," Lori continued, "You know how Bobby and I started getting together way more than in middle school, especially when he started living here with me when it got really bad during 10th grade," Lori continued.
"Yeah, it's a long story," Lincoln commented.
"Way too long and complicated, I understand, that's when Mom and Dad started treating us like we're literally outcasts. Around that time, we both started to become so much closer to you and Lily and give you both as much or as little as you need without Mom and Dad constantly taking advantage of us," Lori explained.
"Yeah, I mean sure they would label Luna as the other nicer sister," Ronnie Anne added, "But truth be told, any one of us can be nicer to you, too."
"Yeah, there is no such thing as a meaner sister, Lynn is the exception though, but Lola sometimes," Lori added.
"Please don't tell them that, Mom and Dad," Lincoln confessed.
"Yeah, please don't," Ronnie Anne agreed with Lincoln.
"Don't worry, sweetheart. I promise..." Lori said softly as she and Bobby both hug Ronnie Anne and Lincoln tightly before they look at the clock, it was past 1:30 pm, they decide to ask Lincoln and the girls another question.
"Hey, kids. Can we ask you a favor?" Bobby asked.
"What is it, Mommy and Daddy?" Lincoln asked.
"Well, are they wanting us to do our laundry again?" Ronnie Anne suggested, "Besides, I've got pretty much all of my laundry washed up and ready before I head back home to my grandma tomorrow."
"Laundry?" Lori giggled, "No. Why don't we all go grab your swim attire and go swimming at the community pool?"
"Okay Mom," Lincoln replied.
"Sounds good, Mom," Ronnie Anne agreed.
"Boy, I could sure use a bit of swimming," Bobby said to himself.
With that, they all went upstairs to their room.
In the room, Lori was getting ready to grab her red lifeguard swimsuit while Bobby was grabbing his red lifeguard trunks, Lincoln grabbed his orange trunks and Ronnie Anne was grabbing her purple floral swimsuit.
"Ahhh, yeah. It feels great to be an adopted mother of two 11-year-olds, and a 17-month-old girl. I just couldn't believe myself right now. Like, I am in awe right now," Lori said to herself.
"Me too, dear. By the way, shouldn't the kids be ready by now?" Bobby asked her.
"Bobby," Lori said nervously.
A few moments later, Bobby and Lincoln had already gotten their respected swim trunks and Lori grabbed her lifeguard swimsuit, and Ronnie Anne grabbed her purple floral swimsuit and Lily was already wearing her lavender onesie. Afterwards, the five of them both drove off to the community pool.
Once they arrived, they both got into their separate dress rooms and put on their swim attire as Lori changed out of her pink swimsuit and into her red lifeguard swimsuit.
When they got out of their separate dress rooms wearing their swim attire, Ronnie Anne and Lincoln were about to get in the pool feet first but Bobby and Lori stopped them with Lori carrying Lily in her arms, and Lori decided to ask them something important.
"Lincoln, Ronnie, will you do something to impress us?" Lori asked.
"Anything for you, Mom and Dad!" Lincoln replied.
"Yeah, what Lincoln said," Ronnie Anne agreed.
"Well, how is your swimming skills?" Bobby asked them, "It's been a while since your mother taught you to swim."
"Well, I thought Lynn was the one that teaches me to swim," Lincoln replied.
"While it does seem true, but she does it a little too rough, that's why Bobby and I are more reliable," Lori added.
"You know, Ronnie Anne, Mom taught me how to swim when she was ten and I was four," Lincoln said to Ronnie Anne.
"Wow, really?" Ronnie Anne said in surprise.
"Yeah, it's really cool when you got at somebody that will teach you everything you need to know about anything," Lincoln said before he turned to Bobby and Lori, "Okay Mom and Dad, where do you both want us to swim to?"
"Just try to swim from one end and then come back to us, for just one lap," Lori suggested softly.
"Okay, here we go," Lincoln replied.
"Let's do it," Ronnie Anne agreed.
With that, the two begin to swim to the end of the pool, then he swam back to his mother Lori who is now opening her arms to grab Lincoln, as the two swam back to their parents as they picked the two up with very proud looks on their faces.
"Wow. Your father and I are so proud of you guys, you both are really growing up so fast. We feel really proud to be parents," Lori said softly as she puts Lincoln and Ronnie Anne down as she and Bobby rubbed their heads.
"Say, would you kids like to dance with me while in the pool?" Lori suggested.
"I love to!" Lincoln said happily.
"That sounds great! Let's do it!" Ronnie Anne agreed, "Hey, Dad, why don't you watch Lily for us?"
"Sure thing, Ni-Ni," Bobby replied as he was tasked to watch Lily for the meantime.
With that, a music montage of Lori, Lincoln and Ronnie Anne dancing in the pool begins as they all got to the deep end, and floated. Within just a few moments, the three of them begin to dive until the pool turned into an ocean. Once it turned into an ocean, they were swimming and dancing as the three of them continued to swim by a pod of dolphins before they sit on a whale and surfaced, then they all got in the water back into the pose they were before, only to swim back up to the surface at the shallow end, then they danced until the music montage ends, until all of a sudden, Lincoln hears Lori's stomach growling, when she hears her stomach growl, she then pats her tummy.
"Oh dear. Kids, I think it's past lunch, would you like to have Pizza for lunch?" Lori suggested.
"Oh yeah, I'm famished," Lincoln replied.
"Me too, brother," Ronnie Anne agreed.
"Boy, I sure could use some pizza," Bobby agreed.
"Come on, guys, let's go get some Pizza on the way," Lori agreed.
With that, the five of them left the community pool and they switched back to their regular attire with Lori switching back into her pink swimsuit and blue jeans. Once they changed back into their regular attire, they all went off to the Pizza Parlor.
Once they entered the Pizza Parlor, the five of them went to a table and waited for their waiter.
"So, what will you be having, guys?" Lori asked Bobby and Lincoln.
"I think Ronnie and I need to go with cheese, do you?" Lincoln asked.
"Maybe a three-meat Pizza would be nice," Lori replied.
"Yeah, I think Lori and I will share," Bobby added.
"Yeah, perhaps a three-meat would be nice," Ronnie Anne agreed.
"Goo," Lily agreed.
"Welcome to the Pizza place, what can I get you? Would you like to start off with an appetizer?" the pizza employee suggested.
"I think we can all share some mozzarella cheese sticks," Lori added.
"Sounds good to me, Mom," Ronnie Anne agreed, "Let's share the sticks."
"Okay then, it's coming right up," the pizza employee replied.
Sometime later, the five of them had their mozzarella sticks. After they had their sticks, the waiter came back to see if they are ready to order the main course.
"Now are you ready to order, can I start you off with a drink?" the pizza employee suggested.
"Two diet cokes for me and Ronnie, please," Lori ordered.
"I'll have Dr. Pepper," Lincoln ordered.
"I'll have one Pepsi please," Bobby ordered.
"And a small water for Lily please," Ronnie Anne ordered for Lily.
"And what would you like to order?" the pizza employee suggested.
"A three-meat pizza for for the five of us!" Lori ordered.
"Alright coming right up, Two diet Cokes, One Dr. Pepper, One Pepsi, one small water, and one Three-Meat Pizza coming right up. We'll be ready with your orders in exactly thirty minutes of your time," the pizza employee replied and took their menus as Lori, Bobby and the kids decided to wait for at least thirty minutes.
While they were waiting, Lori decides to ask Lincoln again.
"Say Linky!" Lori said softly to Lincoln.
"Yes Mom?" Lincoln added.
"Do you remember the time I was saving you from that bully when you started elementary school?" Lori asked.
"I guess so," Lincoln replied.
"Well you were only little, so I'll tell you a little something..." Lori explained.
A flashback to Royal Woods Elementary-Middle School on Tuesday, September 8, 1981 then began.
"...when you were like six and you just started 1st grade and I was twelve in the seventh grade at least, and it was my special job to walk you to your class, of course Leni, Luna, Luan, Lynn and even Bobby were the only ones that know how to get to their own classes, however, when we got to your class that teacher was just really nice and pretty, her name was Mrs. Shrinivas. When she saw you for the first time, she was absolutely thrilled to see you!"
"My my my, what do we have here?" Mrs. Shrinivas said in excitement, "It's little president Lincoln Loud, how are you today?"
"Good as always!" Young Lincoln replied.
"Okay little Linky, Bobby and I will be back after seventh grade is done to get you okay?" Young Lori asked.
"Be careful in your first day at 1st grade, Lincoln," Young Bobby replied softly.
Young Lincoln gave the two a hug as Young Bobby and Lori then hugged him back and all got separated as Young Bobby and Lori walked themselves to class.
Young Lincoln joined up with the others as well, it was then playtime until a mean boy bigger than Lincoln approached him, he used to pick on him, he put blocks on his pants, he spitballs on him during an activity and he used to make fun of him during class, he then speaks to him at lunch.
"You know when she gets older, she'll treat you like a slave, because having sisters makes you less vulnerable, and for your big sister, she won't care for you anymore," a bully informed.
"That's not true, she's my mother, she took me in as her adopted son soon after I was born, she'll always be there for me!" Young Lincoln shouted.
"Ahhhh! So she's your mother. Well, when she grows up in high school, she'll have a boyfriend and won't have feelings for you as much," the bully said to Young Lincoln in anger.
Suddenly a little girl approaches the bully, who is none other than...
"You jerk, leave him alone!" Young Jordan shouted.
"Why don't you make me, twerp?! Stay out of this!" the bully screamed in anger as he pushes Young Jordan aside.
"Please guys, no roughhousing!" Mrs. Shrinivas informed.
At that moments, Lincoln's bully pounds his fist to Young Lincoln, intimidating him, at lunch, Lincoln wanted to sit with his classmates, but his bully kept on harassing him by either sitting next to him or poking him, when he gets to the hallways, he even starts to hit him, Young Lincoln was tortured really bad that the students and Mrs. Shrinivas just watched as she ran to the principal's office, but in time, the principal came and scolded the bully.
"What is the meaning of this?" Principal Huggins screamed in anger.
"Well, he started it," the bully pointed to Lincoln.
"Uh-uh, that's not how it happened!" Mrs. Shrinivas yelled angrily.
"I know what it means!" Young Lincoln said as he pointed to the bully, "He was attacking me!"
"I knew you would be honest, little one," Mrs. Shrinivas said to Young Lincoln in agreement, "Principal, take that bully to the office, will you?"
"You're coming with me, boy!" Principal Huggins said as he grabbed the bully and sent him to the office while Mrs. Shrinivas and the other students just comforted him and they all pitched in to be Lincoln's friends.
After the bell rang, the bully just started pouncing on Lincoln and attempted to spit into Young Lincoln's mouth, until the bully felt a kick on the face by Young Lori, backing her up were younger versions of Bobby, Leni, Luna, Luan and Lynn.
"Stay away from our son, you damn jerk!" Young Lori yelled at the bully in rage.
"Yeah, back away from him, you moron!" Young Bobby screamed at the bully.
"Oh yeah, what you gonna do about it when you grow up, you'll care less about him, you'll see!" the bully denied.
"Oh yeah? Well, get ready to be given a knuckle sandwich," Young Lori said in anger as she along with her sisters and Bobby all begin to crack their knuckles as they are ready to fight the bully.
"Why you little...!" Young Bobby screamed in anger as the bully received multiple punches and kicks all over, until the punches are over, Young Lori, Bobby and Luna comforted him.
"Are you okay bro?" Young Luna asked softly.
"Yes!" Young Lincoln replied in tears.
"It's all right, Lincoln. We're here for you," Young Bobby said softly as he comforted Young Lincoln before he and Young Lori both grabbed his hands.
"Come on, Lincoln. Let's get going!" Young Lori said softly as she and Bobby both held Lincoln's hands.
As they got back home, the parents were very angry at the girls especially Lori while holding the baby twins.
"YOU DID WHAT?!" Rita and Lynn Sr yelled in anger.
"He was hurting Lincoln and we had to do the right thing by protecting him!" Young Lori shouted back at them in anger.
"You know that you aren't supposed to fight somebody at school, even if it was a bully, I can't believe you started a fight on your first day at school, you know better than that," Rita yelled in anger.
"Although it's good that you saved Lincoln, all of you except Lori are grounded," Lynn Sr. said in an angry tone, "But to be fair, you can still walk Lincoln to his class."
"Yes Mom and Dad," the sisters all replied.
"And as for you, Lori and Lincoln, we're at least thankful and proud of your siblings," Rita replied in a concerned manner, "But let me tell you something, if you are bullied by someone else, ask a grown up for help, okay?"
"Yes, mother!" Young Lori replied and Lincoln nodded in agreement.
Flashback ends and fades back to the present with Lori, Bobby and the kids at the Pizza parlor.
"Man, I didn't know that you started to fight this kid," Ronnie Anne said to Lori.
"Yeah, but what that bully told me would be true, you and Dad both got older and started to have feelings, but at least you still cared for me even after you both started dating," Lincoln replied.
"Yeah, Lincoln, of course we still care about you, For the past six years, ever since Bobby and I had our first date during sixth grade, he and I had feelings for each other," Lori explained softly.
"Yeah," Lincoln replied.
"But at least we still have feelings for you, Lincoln. We both know that Bobby and I are your parents, Lincoln. Sure, my mother brought you into the world but..." Lori paused for a moment and continued to speak softly while she held hands with Lincoln, "I took you in as my adopted son soon afterwards. We understand you can have more than one babysitter or guardian. It can be between me, Leni, Luna, and even Lucy."
"Is it because I'm your son that you took in?" Lincoln asked.
"Yes, Lincoln. Yes, you are. You, Ronnie Anne and Lily are really the one thing that keeps our spirits soaring up high in the sky," Lori replied softly.
"Well, Mom, Dad, I think the only nicknames your sisters gave to my brother are "Linky" "Linc" and "Twerp" right?" Ronnie Anne asked.
"No, not in our eyes," Lori replied softly.
"Why not?" Lincoln and Ronnie Anne asked.
"Because the best nickname I can give to you is..." Lori said as she pokes Lincoln on the nose, "...sweetheart."
"Aw, gee," Lincoln said softly.
"Yeah, thanks for taking us out for lunch and a swim, Mom and Dad," Lincoln said happily.
"You're welcome!" Lori said softly.
"No problem, kids," Bobby agreed.
Right on time, the pizza and drinks are here, they begin to eat their food, after they had pizza, Lori was thinking up a great movie to watch at the theater.
"So Mom, What do you think we should do next?" Ronnie Anne asked.
"I was thinking about finding a good movie we could see together at the theater, but it looks like there is noting interesting on right now, probably not since we saw the Great Mouse Detective at the theater," Lori replied.
"Well, I do know that there's An American Tail," Lincoln recalled, "We saw a trailer for that movie before The Great Mouse Detective started."
"We really love to see that movie but I'm afraid it's not going to be until later this Thanksgiving," Lori explained.
"Yeah, let's just go home and watch something together okay?" Ronnie Anne asked them.
"Yeah, we've had enough for one day," Bobby agreed.
"Yep. Sounds good to me," Lincoln replied and Lily nodded in agreement.
With that, the five of them got on Vanzilla and they all headed home.
Once they got back home, Lincoln was the first to head inside when he opens the front door only to be drenched in a bucket of Chum. At that moment, Lori at the others looked at Lincoln and noticed that he smelled awful thanks to the chum.
"Ewwwwww," Lincoln said in disgust.
"Poo poo!" Lily babbled in disgust.
"Damn it Luan, I can't believe she is one step ahead of us," Lori shook her head in annoyance.
"Yeah, Mom. When will she learn to lay off the pranks?" Ronnie Anne agreed.
Come on, boy. Let's get you in the tub and get you all washed up," Bobby suggested as he and Lori took Lincoln upstairs to get him washed up.
"Hey, you mind if I get Lily washed up too?" Ronnie Anne asked them.
"Hmmm, yeah, sure," Lori agreed as Ronnie Anne and Lily followed them upstairs.
In the bathroom, Lincoln and Lily were now in the bathtub as Lori and Ronnie Anne were scrubbing them up good with some help from Bobby.
Sometime, after a good scrub, Lincoln and Lily were now in their jammies, as the five of them went downstairs. Once down in the TV room, Lori set her phone down on the lamp table before she turns on the VCR and TV and asks them what movie to watch.
"So, guys. What movie would you like to pick?" Lori asked them.
"Uh..." the kids thought to themselves.
"How about uh...Robin Hood?" Bobby suggested.
"No," Lincoln denied despondently.
"Don't think so," Ronnie Anne agreed, "Watched it earlier this summer."
"Hmm...how about Rocky?" Bobby suggested.
"We've seen it two days ago with Lynn before she and the others went to be with Pop-Pop," Lincoln replied.
"Or maybe... Out of Africa?" Bobby suggested.
"I often watch it with Lisa earlier this spring. She seems to know the plains of Africa well," Lincoln replied.
Suddenly, Lori got an idea what they should watch, "Wait, I think I know what we should watch!"
"Really?! You do?!" the kids said in surprise.
"How about uh... E.T., E.T. The Extra Terrestrial?" Lori suggested.
"Yeah, Mom, Sure," Lincoln agreed.
"Yeah, let's watch it!" Ronnie Anne agreed.
"Goo!" Lily babbled in agreement.
"Well finally,' Bobby said as he sighed in relief.
"Yeah, a real sigh of relief for once," Lori agreed before she inserted the cassette into the VCR.
Once she did so, she and Bobby began to sit on one side of the couch while Lincoln, Ronnie Anne and Lily are on the other side of the couch with Lily in Ronnie Anne's lap. Feeling a bit lonely, Lori decides to drag Lincoln closer, she wrapped her arm around him as the movie started.
Sometime later, while watching the movie, Lincoln begins to feel sleepy, he tried to stay awake to see the movie, but he was getting very very sleepy, though it was only about 3:52 pm, time was going so fast that he didn't knew what else to do.
With Lori, she and the others begin to see Lincoln about to doze off. In response, she quickly begins to lay on her back and stretch her legs, with her back laying on Bobby's lap. Once she layed on her back, she then lets Lincoln place his head on her tummy and tousles his hair, knowing how soft it is after a quick bath she gave him, she quickly grabbed her camera to take a picture of Lincoln sleeping on her tummy.
"It's really cute to see my baby bro sleep on my tummy. It's definitely a sight for sore eyes," Lori said to herself as she went back to watching the movie.
At the same time, Lincoln was still sleeping and Lori was happy to have eight supportive sisters and a son and two daughters of her own that look up to her, and her boyfriend Bobby and children Lincoln, Ronnie Anne and Lily were all she needed and nothing else mattered to her.
Suddenly, her phone rang and she grabbed it off the lamp table and answered it.
"Hi Lori!" Rita greeted on the phone.
"Hi Mom," Lori greeted quietly to the phone.
"How are you and Bobby and the kids?" Rita asked on the phone.
"We were doing really good today," Lori said quietly to the phone.
"What did you guys do today?" Rita asked on the phone.
"Well, the five of us went for a swim and we had Pizza, now we are currently watching a movie at home. And now, Lincoln is sleeping on the couch," Lori said quietly to the phone as she pats Lincoln's head.
"Wow, I have to say, it's really cute, you do remember to wake him up right?" Rita asked on the phone again.
"Yes!" Lori responded to the phone.
"Just calling to check on you, now I'm about to call our dad next, bye Lori, see you on Monday," Rita finished.
"Bye Mom," Lori finished to the phone.
"Bye!" Rita finished.
With that, Lori hangs up the phone and places it back on the lamp table, she then rubs Lincoln as Bobby rubs Lori's hair a bit. Suddenly, Lincoln wakes up and gets up off of Lori to pee as she then pauses the movie and waits for him to come out on the bathroom. Sometime, after a quick pee, Lincoln comes back to sit down on the couch, and Lori grabs Lincoln and places his head on her tummy again, only to hear her stomach bubbling and digesting the pizza and mozzarella sticks while watching the movie. He then looks up at his mother as she and Bobby smile down on him, she then speaks to him softly while stroking his hair.
"You know, Linky?" Lori asked quietly before she started speaking quietly to Lincoln, 'My mother-in-law was right about one thing. You do look cute when you sleep, especially on my tummy," Lori spoke quietly to Lincoln, "I sort of recall the time when you and Lynn played that volleyball game together when we made that trip to the beach earlier last month. You two were really amazing together, and you two made a pretty good sibling bond together."
"And so do we. And the five of us including Lily are like a family," Lincoln agreed.
"We already are, hon," Lori said quitely to Lincoln, "You know, whenever I'm in charge and all the girls are here, I'd do whatever it takes to keep them straight and disciplined. And whenever they went out of line, I'd just give them some fitting punishments so they can be able to learn from the mistakes they have made. I'd even go so far to giving them a few swats in their behind with a belt."
"Oooh, Mom, that's gotta sting," Ronnie Anne commented.
"Yeah, and you know, I just don't want you playing videogames too often when I'm in charge of the house with all of our sisters," Lori continued.
"Yeah, because someone could get hurt," Bobby added.
"How so often?" Lincoln asked.
"I saw on the news that someone down in Ohio about a kid earlier this year, who tripped on a controller wire and the controller was damaged and the kid himself broke his leg after a fall," Lori explained, "That's why whenever you played on the Nintendo I got you for Christmas last year and all of my sisters were roaming around, I often had to stop you in fear before someone gets hurt."
"Oh I get it now," Lincoln replied.
"Hey, Mom, should I finish explaining for you?" Ronnie Anne asked.
"Sure, go ahead," Lori replied.
"Look, brother. If you were playing videogames while there is a lot of chaos going on, someone could trip and not only hurt themselves, or they could run over the wire over and over making it frayed," Ronnie Anne explained.
"And plus, when it's frayed, it could start an electrical house fire," Bobby added.
"Yep, that's right. That's why Mom and I don't really play videogames much," Lincoln replied.
"Mm-hmm. So, when the movie's finished why don't we all play Super Mario Bros. on our Nintendo Entertainment System? How does that sound?" Lori suggested.
"Oh yeah, that's a great idea!" Lincoln replied.
"Sounds good to me," Bobby agreed.
"But first, we need to finish the movie okay?" Ronnie Anne asked.
"Oh yeah right," Lincoln replied.
"Yeah. We sure do," Lori agreed as she alongside Bobby, Lincoln, Ronnie Anne and Lily continue to watch the rest of the movie.
Once the movie was over, Lori switched over to the Nintendo Entertainment System and she inserted the "Super Mario Bros." cartridge into the console. Once she did so, Lincoln started playing the game.
"Wow! This is amazing!" Lori commented happily.
"It sure is. What a ride it is," Lincoln agreed.
"Game! Game!" Lily babbled in excitement.
Go get 'em, tiger," Ronnie Anne rooted for Lincoln.
Within the next half-hour or so, Lincoln braved through eight dangerous worlds in the game without getting a Game Over once and they were ll were amazed by how skilled he has gotten.
"Wow, Lincoln. I can't believe that you really made it through most of the game," Lori said in excitement.
"Yeah, we got to say, you're like a real pro player all of a sudden," Ronnie Anne agreed.
Lincoln then makes it to the final boss known as Bowser, using fireballs to defeat the final boss until when Bowser jumps up high that he slipped under him and lowered the axe down onto the bridge causing the bridge to collapse and Bowser to fall to his death.
Once the final boss was defeated and the game now beaten, Lincoln jumps up in sheer joy and excitement.
"Yeah. I got this game beat without even getting a single Game Over once," Lincoln said happily as he tosses the controller aside and does a victory pose, "WOO-HOO! YOUR MOTHER!"
"You got him, brother! Whoo!" Ronnie Anne cheered for Lincoln.
"Easy Tiger, don't turn into Lynn now," Lori said to Lincoln in excitement.
"Yeah, as a matter of fact, that's a good impression of her too!" Ronnie Anne agreed.
"Thanks, guys. You think maybe we should imitate some of our sisters. Here, let me try," Lincoln then clears her throat, then he uses his fist like a face, "Let me tell ya something. Why couldn't Timmy ride a bicycle?" "I don't know, Why couldn't Timmy ride a bicycle?" "Because Timmy was a Goldfish" and he laughs.
"That's obviously Luan!" Ronnie Anne said as she laughed.
"Ooh! Ooh! Let me try the one I really care about," Lori said as she takes off one of her shoes and pretends it's a brush, "Ahhh, I literally brush my hair at least 50 times a day to make it literally as beautiful as it is during my fancy workouts."
"That's Leni!" Lincoln giggled.
"Hey, I got a great one I'd like to try it out," Ronnie Anne said as she takes off one of Lincoln's bedroom slippers and pretends that it is a guitar and makes it sound like a guitar, "Goodnight Loud House, Stage dive dudes!"
"Oh yeah, that's Luna, my darling!" Lori said happily.
With that, the five of them enjoyed imitating Lori's own sisters until they stopped laughing and Lori decided to ask them another favor.
"So, what would you like to do while we are in the house?" Lori asked.
"I don't know," Lincoln replied.
"Don't know either, Mom," Ronnie Anne agreed and Lily shook her head in agreement.
"Me, either dear. What do you want to do?" Bobby asked her.
Suddenly, Lori got an idea, "Wait. I think I know what we are going to do while we're all together here!"
"Huh?" Lily said in concern.
Sometime later, Lori, Bobby and the kids were now in the bathroom putting on mud masks.
"Oh, my pores are tingling!" Lincoln commented.
"So are mine," Ronnie Anne agreed while Lily giggled in response.
"Yeah, mine are too," Bobby agreed.
"Yes, it'll get to you!" Lori replied.
"Yeah, Mom. It sure seems quite dazzling," Lincoln replied.
"I got to say, I like how you said to me that it soothes sunburn, poison ivy and moderate to severe acne," Ronnie Anne explained.
"Impressive!" Lincoln commented.
"Yeah. It helped get rid of your mother's acne, just before she got those braces of hers removed," Bobby explained.
Sometime later, they were getting themselves ready for dinner. Lori was in the kitchen making dinner for the family while Bobby, Lincoln, Ronnie Anne and Lily were in the dinner table waiting for their dinner to be ready.
Ronnie Anne decided to call out for her mother, "Hey, Mom! Is dinner ready yet?"
"Almost, sweetie!" Lori complied, "I just need to add the final touches!"
"Well let's hope it's soon, I'm starving!" Lincoln exclaimed.
"Hold your horses, you two!" Bobby alarmed them, "Your mother is moving as fast as she can."
"Gotta always count on Mom to cook up and deliver a good meal," Lincoln added.
"Yep, we sure do, brother," Ronnie Anne agreed.
"Goo!" Lily babbled in agreement.
Around that same moment, a car just pulled into the driveway, and the family immediately noticed it.
"Poo?" Lily said in concern.
"What was that?" Lincoln said in shock.
"Uh, Dad. Did somebody just pull into the driveway?" Ronnie Anne asked Bobby in concern.
"I think so, Ni-Ni. Lori was told that her parents aren't coming back home until Monday," Bobby replied as he got up and went to the front door, "In fact, it couldn't be those sisters of Lori's either. Who else could it be other than..."
But once Bobby opened the door, it turns out that his mother Maria Santiago has arrived at the house.
"...Madre?" Bobby said in surprise.
"Hola, mi hijo!" Maria said in a happy voice to Bobby.
"Madre!" Bobby said happily as he hugged Maria, "Long time, no see! I got to show you to my family!"
"Your... familia?" Maria said in surprise.
"Yes! I'd like you to see my family!" Bobby said in excitement as he and Maria went to the dining room.
At that same moment, Lori had just finished cooking up dinner, and started bringing the dinner meals out to the table.
"Da-da-da-daaaaaaaa, here's your dinner, guys. I've made you some fresh honey chicken nuggets with Mac 'n cheese for you all," Lori called happily.
"Thanks Mom!" Lincoln thanked her.
"He he, yeah, thank you," Ronnie Anne agreed.
"Goo!" Lily babbled in agreement.
"Your welcome, guys. Bon Appetit," Lori said happily.
But before they can start eating, Bobby entered the dining room with a very special surprise for them.
"Hey, everybody! I've got a big surprise for you! Presenting..." Bobby said as Maria came to them with a smile on her face, "...MI MADRE!"
"Hola, familia," Maria greeted the family, causing Lori and her kids to run towards her in excitement.
"Oh, Grandma! There you are!" Ronnie Anne said happily as she and the kids greeted her warmly.
"Welcome to our house, Grandma!" Lincoln said softly.
"Granny..." Lily babbled happily.
"Ohhh, mother, so happy you could come," Lori said softly as she hugged Maria, "By the way, you're just in time for dinner."
"Well, I'm very pleased," Maria said in agreement, "My stomach was starting to growl for food on the way."
"Come on, everybody!" Bobby said to them, "Let's have us that nice little meal that Lori made."
"Yeah, let's eat!" Lori said as the six of them all sat down at the table together, "By the way, I left some of the leftover dinner from the pot for you."
"Gee, thanks," Maria replied politely.
"Now before we all eat our dinner, we're going to say grace. Everyone bow your heads," Lori commanded as they all bow their heads and say grace, "Be present at our table, Lord, be here and everywhere adored. Thy people bless, and grant that we may feast in paradise with thee."
"Amen."
They all then get back to their normal sitting position.
"Okay, everyone. Dig in," Lori said politely.
With that, the six of them begin to eat up their dinner Lori made for them as Lori started eating up her entire meal as well.
Soon after they had their dinner, Maria got herself situated in the master bedroom with a small suitcase as she was spending the night at the house.
"So, mother, are you going to be okay sleeping in the master bedroom for the night?" Lori asked Maria.
"Of course, dear," Maria said softly, "By the way, it was real nice of Ronnie Anne to stay with you guys for the entire summer."
"Yeah, I know, "Lori said softly, "I'll make sure Ronnie Anne has all of her stuff packed tomorrow before you both leave to get ready for the school year."
"Yeah, the next school year is drawing nearer," Maria replied, "Now we must make sure to get plenty of rest for tomorrow."
"Don't worry, mother. We will," Lori said as she left the bedroom and went upstairs.
Later that night, Lincoln and Ronnie Anne were to go to Lincoln's own bedroom but Lori and Bobby decided to ask them another favor.
"Lincoln... honey..." Lori spoke softly to Lincoln, "Would you and Ronnie Anne mind spending one last night together with me and Bobby in my bedroom? I don't feel comfortable sleeping by myself at all."
"Normally, we don't really have a roommate that often, Ronnie Anne," Lincoln replied.
"Yeah, but since we just have our Mom and Dad, our grandma, and even Lily here, we can make that an exception!" Ronnie Anne added.
Lincoln and Ronnie Anne then turned back to Lori and Bobby and he then spoke, "Sure, Mom and Dad, why not?"
"Let's get some sleep together," Lori said softly to Lincoln.
"Come on, kids. It's time for bed!" Bobby replied softly to Lincoln.
As expected, Lincoln and Ronnie Anne just climbed into Leni's bed and Bobby was in Lori's bed. Lori in her PJ's went into Lincoln's room and grabbed his Bun-Bun and gave it to him once she entered her room. Once she did so, she tucked both him and Ronnie Anne in and gave them both a little goodnight kiss. She then softly spoke to them, "Sleep tight, kids."
"Goodnight, Mom," Lincoln and Ronnie Anne said before they both fell asleep.
"Oh, and by the way, Bobby, I already tucked Lily into bed, so you don't need to worry about her tonight," Lori said softly to Bobby.
"That's very good to hear, Lori," Bobby said softly to Lori.
"Hmmmm... goodnight, Bobby," Lori replied softly to Bobby.
"Goodnight, honey," Bobby said quietly as he and Lori both give one last goodnight kiss before they both went to sleep together. Lori then turns off her bedroom lamp, and she then goes to sleep with him for the night.
Sunday, August 31, 1986
That morning, Lori, Bobby and Maria all got out of bed and got dressed in their clothes. Lori proceeds to wake Lincoln and Ronnie Anne up and she succeeds.
"Good morning, kids. Let's get showered and dressed, your father and I want to take you all someplace fun!" Lori exclaimed.
"Really?" Lincoln and Ronnie Anne asked in surprise.
"Yes, now get ready, I'll grab us some breakfast from McDonald's, would you both like a couple of Chicken biscuits with hash browns?" Lori suggested.
"Yes, Mom," Lincoln replied softly.
With that, Lincoln and Ronnie Anne both took a quick shower together while Lori and Bobby woke Lily up so they can get ready for the day.
After a quick shower, Lincoln and Ronnie Anne got dressed and met Lori, Bobby, Maria and Lily at the dining room table.
Once there, Bobby, Lincoln and Ronnie Anne's breakfasts were some Chicken biscuits with hash browns and Lori, Maria and Lily's breakfasts were some low Cal biscuits, after breakfast, Lincoln asked her something.
"So, Mom, what do you think we should do today?" Lincoln asked Lori.
"I think what we should do to pass out our last day of summer together is to first, visit a library to check out some books, one for you, one for Bobby, one for me and one for Lily," Lori suggested.
"Well, I probably won't check out one because I have to get ready for school," Ronnie Anne denied.
"Hmmm? What else is there, Mom?" Lincoln asked.
"Well, after our visit to the library, we can go to the park for a nice little picnic," Lori added, "And after our little picnic, we all can go to Gus' Games and Grub together!"
Lincoln and Ronnie Anne then show their Halleluiah faces upon hearing that they'll go to Lori's workplace together and give them a hug as they including Maria hug one another back.
"Oh Mom, Dad, what would we do with either of you?" Lincoln and Ronnie Anne both exclaimed joyfully and Bobby and Lori begin to smile and tear up knowing that the two had said something very nice to them, even though they have been trying to get along with her sisters in the past since they mostly struggled to take care of him due to him being a victim of her abusive parents. With that, that was all that they had to hear from them Lori then picked him up and rocked him in a hugging position.
"You know, that's all we need to hear," Lori replied softly before she releases him in a hug and starts to hold his hand as Bobby holds Ronnie Anne's hand while Ronnie Anne held Lincoln's other hand.
"Come on, fellas. Let's go, we are going to have a great time," Bobby replied to Lincoln.
"Can't wait for some fun with you guys," Maria said as she picked Lily up, "Don't want to miss out on the fun, do you, Lily?"
Lily shook her head in agreement.
"Thought so too, little one," Maria added as she and Lily caught up with the others.
With that, the six of them all got into Vanzilla and they drove off to the public Library.
Once they got to the library and went inside, they noticed that some of the college students are inside the building are preparing for their upcoming year.
"Wow. Those are some really hardworking college dudes there. I don't think I'm gonna be going to college though because I've got three children to continue raising as a mother," Lori thought to herself.
"Hmmm yeah. That kind of seems right," Maria responded.
With Lincoln, he and Bobby were looking for something related to something science-fiction related, but to their surprise, they have found nothing, so they decided to check out some books about dinosaurs. Even though they weren't into dinosaurs like some kids do, they felt that those would have to do for now.
With Lori, she and Maria were looking in the children's section and there, with help from Maria, she found another good story to read to Lily, and the book she chose for Lily was called "Danny and the Dinosaur".
Once they were done, they got to the checkout stand and talk to the librarian.
"What can I do for you today?" the librarian suggested.
"Hi, we like to check out these books!" Lori suggested.
"Okay, then I'll check them out for you!" the librarian began to check out their books until she stamped them and told them their due date, "These are due by the end of September, have a good day."
"You too, bye!" Lori finished.
After they checked their books out at the Library, the six of them then drove to the park and had themselves a little picnic here, Lori bagged in some healthy food for the six of them.
"Uh, Mom, Dad, what are these?" Ronnie Anne asked her parents.
"That, Ronnie Anne, is health food," Lori said softly, "As the oldest girl in the house, Mom and Dad wanted us to make sure we eat healthy at least once a day."
"Yeah, Lori figured we'd get us some fruits and veggies," Bobby added.
"Eh, What can I say, I'm a sucker for carrot sticks and Blueberries anyway!" Lincoln commented to himself.
"Hey, don't go beating yourself up on that, brother," Ronnie Anne said to Lincoln.
With that, Lori, Bobby, Maria and the kids began to sit at a picnic table and enjoyed their healthy meals while at the same time, some ducks came quacking by them.
"Ducky! Ducky!" Lily babbled happily.
"Aw, look at those little duckies!" Lincoln said happily.
"Yeah. I see a momma and her babies," Ronnie Anne said to Lincoln.
"So do I, Ni-Ni," Bobby agreed.
"I do too, honey," Lori said softly to Bobby.
"We all do, Lori. She must be so proud," Maria said softly to them.
"Just like you, Mom and Dad!" Lincoln agreed.
Lori begins to blush as she and Bobby accept her compliment as the six of them continue to eat their food as Lori begins writing in her diary.
Once Bobby and Lincoln begin to read their books on dinosaurs, they start to learn that some dinosaurs like Velociraptor and Tyrannosaurus Rex actually had feathers, the two thought to themselves that Lisa is right about one thing. Birds are indeed the descendants of dinosaurs.
With Lori, she has just got done writing in her diary as she closed it up and she called to the others.
"Come on everybody, let's go to the Game and Grub, games are on all of us!" Lori said happily.
"Coming, Mom!" Lincoln replied.
"Yeah, Mom! We're coming!" Ronnie Anne agreed.
"Can't wait to get away from my nurse job for one day!" Maria said to herself as they all went into the Game and Grub Arcade.
When they arrived at the Game and Grub, they got inside to pay for game tokens as they decided what they wanted to play.
First off, they played Pole Position, the six of them were all able to handle the steering wheel well one at a time.
Afterwards, they then played Skee-Ball in which Lily was able to play for the first time with help from Lori and Ronnie Anne, and Lincoln and Lily beat Lori together with a high score of 1,240,012 points with Lori of 880,340, Maria of 996,540, Bobby of 1,163,542 and Ronnie Anne of 825,690, they got so many tickets that they needed to save them for later.
Then they played "Pac-Man" with Lincoln and Lily getting a high score of 65,460 points together, Bobby a total of 80,560 points, Ronnie Anne a total of 58,460 points, Maria a total of 62,540 points and Lori a total of 72,550 points. After that, they played "Space Invaders" which was their final game to play as the three of them enjoyed the games immensely.
Once their day at the arcade was finished, they went to the Ticket corner and collected prizes, Lincoln got himself a toy Stegosaurus with a tail whipping action, Ronnie Anne and Bobby got themselves a couple of new rare TransFormers action figures and Lori and Maria got themselves two pairs of pink sunglasses to match their pink tops.
Once they got their prizes, the six of them all went on back home after an exhausting day.
"I really had a fun time today!" Lori said happily.
"So did I, Mom," Ronnie Anne agreed.
"Goo!" Lily babbled happily in agreement.
"Yeah, we had a blast," Lincoln agreed.
"Definitely worth the time spent on the last full day of summer together," Maria agreed.
"Hey, thanks for doing this with us today," Bobby thanked.
"You're welcome everybody," Lori said softly.
Once they got home, they sat on the sofa together like a family.
"Say, you fellas want to watch TV?" Lori asked.
"Yes. I wonder what's on right now," Lincoln replied.
"Maybe there should be something good on the tele right now," Ronnie Anne said to herself.
"Hey, guys. Let's just watch something we all like!" Bobby suggested.
"Sounds like a great idea," Maria agreed.
"I agree, it's not polite to argue over a show we don't like!" Lori agreed.
"Yeah!/Let's do it!/Goo!/It's about time!" Maria, Lori, Lincoln, Ronnie Anne and Lily all agreed with what Lori said.
They decided to watch one of their favorite cartoon shows, Tom & Jerry on their 27 inch TV set, as they all love the way Cat Tom and Mouse Jerry outsmart each other and laugh at their antics, soon the show was over and they started watching Looney Tunes, which is another favorite show they all like to watch, after four hours of classic cartoons on syndication (mostly NBC, CBS and ABC), they decided that is was past eight o clock, so they were late for dinner, soon Lori's phone rang, it happens to be Rita who's calling as Lori answered.
"Is Lincoln Loud here?" Rita asked on the phone, "This call's for him."
"Oh, uh... okay," Lori replied before she turned to Lincoln and handed the phone to him, "Hey Lincoln. I think it's for you. Mom's calling to see how you're doing."
"Okay," Lincoln said as he picked up.
"Hi, Lincoln. How was your day?" Rita asked on the phone.
"It was good. My parents and I and my two sisters all went to the library, then we had a picnic, and we went to the arcade," Lincoln explained to the phone.
"That was great, tell Lori that she and Bobby are doing a fine job with you and Ronnie," Rita suggested on the phone.
"Don't worry. I will," Lincoln replied to the phone.
"We will be coming home on tomorrow, see you then!" Rita said on the phone.
"Bye, see you tomorrow," Lincoln finished speaking to the phone.
"Bye!" Rita hangs up.
In the kitchen, Lori begins to put on her kitchen apron as she begins making dinner for the family.
"Hey kids, I was thinking maybe the we should try to eat Dad's Lasagna since we haven't had it in a long time," Lori explained.
Suddenly the front door opened and revealed to be...
"Did someone say Lasagna?" Mr. Grouse asked in surprise.
"Mr. Grouse, what are you doing here?" Lori, Bobby and Maria all asked in unison.
"Where is this Lasagna, I could crave for some!" Mr. Grouse said happily.
"Alright then, Mr. Grouse, come on in!" Lori said nervously.
"Thanks Loud!" Mr. Grouse said happily.
Soon afterwards, the six of them had to eat dinner with Mr. Grouse, and after all that Lasagna Mr. Grouse ate, he burped and decided to make a nice comment with Lori.
"Well, Lori. Not only have you really started to become a better cook than your own father, but you all make some of the best Lasagna in the neighborhood," Mr. Grouse said happily, "Invite me to dinner sometime!"
"This is definitely the most awkward dinner we had," Lori said to herself.
"I agree, Mom," Lincoln agreed.
"It most certainly is, Mom," Ronnie Anne agreed.
After they finished their dinner, Mr. Grouse left the house and went home.
Around that same time, Ronnie Anne began packing her things up, meaning that it was time for her and Maria headed back home to prepare for the school year.
"Hey, Ronnie, are you packed yet?" Maria called for Ronnie Anne, "We're about to head on back home?"
"Yes, Grandma!" Ronnie Anne responded as she got all of her things that were packed in her large suitcase, "I'm coming."
With that, Ronnie Anne came downstairs with all of her stuff packed.
"Hey, Mom, Dad, we sure had an amazing summer vacation together," Ronnie Anne said to Lori and Bobby, "To be honest, it's about to end. I think I need to get home to Grandma and Grandpa so I can get ready for our first day of school on Tuesday."
"Really, Ronnie Anne? Yo... you're heading home already?" Lori asked as she became emotional.
"Yeah, I'm heading back home," Ronnie Anne said emotionally, "Besides, I think this summer vacation of ours that we spent is just about over."
"Yeah, it sure is, Ronnie," Lori agreed, "And you know, at least we'll be able to get back together again on Thanksgiving holiday."
"It'll be all right, Ronnie Anne," Lincoln added, "Besides, we'll still be able to see one another and be together at school like brother and sister."
"You take good care of yourself, big girl," Bobby said softly to Ronnie Anne.
"Yeah, you too, Mom and Dad," Ronnie Anne said to them.
With that, Lori, Bobby, Maria, Lincoln, Ronnie Anne and Lily all got together sharing one last summer group hug.
"By the way, Lori, thanks for letting Ronnie Anne staying with you at your house," Maria said softly to Lori, "You and your children deserve to be part of my familia."
"Yeah, thank you, madre," Lori said sweetly as she and Maria hugged one another before they released and Maria turned to Bobby.
"And by the way, Bobby. Thanks for taking good care of Lori and the children during the summer," Maria said to Bobby, "You deserve to be the honorable father of the three children."
"Aw, thanks, madre," Bobby said softly.
"Well, Ni-Ni, I guess it's time we head on home," Maria said softly as she and Ronnie began to part together for home since school was drawing nearer.
"Bye, Mom. Bye, Dad. See you soon," Ronnie Anne said emotionally, "Good luck looking after Lincoln and Lily during the school year. You're gonna need it."
"Goodbye, Ronnie Anne. Be careful," Lori said emotionally.
"So long, Ronnie Anne," Lincoln said emotionally.
"Bye, Ni-Ni," Lily said as she teared up.
"See you around Thanksgiving," Bobby said emotionally as he, Lori, Lincoln and Lily all waved Ronnie Anne waved goodbye.
With that, Ronnie Anne and Maria both exited the house, carrying all of her stuff with them as the two headed on back home to their house while Bobby stayed at the house with Lori as Lincoln walked upstairs with Lily so he can put her to sleep.
"Well, Bobby. It looks like it's just the two of us since Lincoln is putting Lily to bed and getting all of his things back to his bedroom," Lori said to Bobby.
"Yeah, that seems right, and right on time for the upcoming school year," Bobby replied as the two decided to walk upstairs and change into their pajamas.
Once they change into their pajamas, Lori decided to ask Bobby something.
"So, Bobby?" Lori began to ask Bobby.
"What is it, dear?" Bobby asked her.
Lori then gave out a sigh and suggested, "Honey, would you mind if I sleep with Lincoln for the night? I know he felt great with Ronnie Anne bunking in with him throughout the summer, but... I still think that he needs someone to bunk in with once in a while."
"Really, Lori?" Bobby asked in surprise, "You're gonna... sleep with our son for the night?"
"Of course, honey," Lori said softly to Bobby, "What better night than tonight?"
"Well, all right, babe," Bobby said to Lori in a soft and soothing tone, "Be careful sleeping with him."
"Always am," Lori said before she decided to say something else, "By the way, honey. Do you think maybe we should share one last summer vacation kiss before we go to bed for the night? Because I do know that school is drawing nearer and I feel that tonight would be the perfect night."
Bobby then thought to himself for a few moments and then decided, "Of course, babe. What better time than now to share ourselves one last summertime kiss to finish off the summer."
With that, Lori and Bobby shared themselves one last summer kiss in a very romantic manner which lasted for about a minute.
Once they finished, Bobby and Lori decided to get themselves ready for bed for the night to the two separate bedrooms.
"Good night, dear Lori," Bobby said softly as he climbed into Lori's bed and turned off the bedroom lamp and dozed off.
"Good night, honey," Lori said as she prepared to retreat to Lincoln's bedroom so she can sleep with him.
In Lincoln's bedroom, Lincoln now in his pajamas climbed himself to bed after getting all of his stuff back into his own bedroom, but Lori soon knocked on the door.
"Hey Lincoln, can I come in?" Lori asked quietly.
"Sure, Mom. Come on in," Lincoln said quietly and softly.
Lori in her pajamas comes into Lincoln's room as she climbs into Lincoln's bed.
"You know, Lincoln. I think we really had a great summer together," Lori said softly.
"Same here, Mom!" Lincoln agreed.
"Would you like Mommy to read you a bedtime story since I'm still gonna sleep with you sometimes even though your father is still living with us?" Lori asked softly.
"Of course, Mom," Lincoln said as he nodded his head softly.
With that, Lori starts to read one of Lincoln's childhood stories which would help him fall asleep. Soon after reading his story, she notices that Lincoln is falling asleep.
"Works every time," Lori said to herself before she gave him a little goodnight kiss on the cheek and cuddled around him and she spoke softly to him, "Aw Lincoln, my dear. You are so cute and cuddly, you are the only son I could ever ask for. Goodnight, sleep tight but don't let the bed bugs bite, sweet dreams and I love..." and pokes his nose, "...you as always."
With that, Lori soon falls asleep not after she turns off the light for a good night's rest to finish off the summer and their summer vacation closes.
And there you have it, folks. The summer vacation for the Louds has officially come to an end, and Ronnie Anne has returned home to the Santiago house to prepare for the next school year. They sure have experienced a lot during their summer vacation of 1986, including having some fresh time together soaking up the sun, meeting their friends, taking charge of Lily and meeting their family relatives. With that, the next chapter will be the start of their next school year which will be coming within the next couple of days in the meantime. Until then, this is the Loud Storywriter signing off for a while.
