Captain Jonathan Archer had given his crew a couple of weeks of shore leave when they got back to earth. But after a week of being back out in space, when they were near some uninhabited planetoids, something weird happened. Charles "Trip" Tucker had reported to him that a woman just mysteriously appeared on the floor of the engine room, passed out. Phlox had requested that John come down to medical to have a chat with her when the woman was beginning to stir.

Trip had stayed in medical by the woman's side as he felt a little bit responsible for her as he was the one to find her. T'Pol had decided to follow her Captain to medical as she was curious about the woman who appeared out of thin air. When John got to medical, the woman was just waking up and was looking really confused on where she was. The woman had blonde hair, blue eyes and had tattoos on her legs and arms.

Some of the tattoos were pictures, some were names or words and some were Japanese characters that Hoshi would definitely need to translate on a later date. There were even a couple of words written in the Vulcan language on the blonde's forearms. John even saw a combat knife strapped to her upper thigh when he was looking at her tattoos. There was another knife sticking out of her boot and that one made John think this woman was ready for anything that gets thrown at her.

The blonde haired woman was wearing a command gold dress that John knew was still in production down at headquarters. The insignia on her dress indicated that she was a Captain and her eyes told him that she rightfully earned it. The woman looked to John with questioning eyes like she was trying to figure out how to get past him.

"Who are you? Where am I?" She asked

"I'm Captain Jonathan Archer and you in the medical portion of the battle cruiser the USS Enterprise." John said

She seemed to relax at his words like she had known him all her life or something, which really freaked Trip out. Though it would explain why she listened to Phlox and spoke to him in his native language.

"I'm Jamie Kirk." Jamie said

"Well, Jaime, where are you from?" John asked

"What year is it?" Jamie asked

"2169." John said

Jamie then cursed in Vulcan under her breath when she heard this, which caught the attention of T'Pol who raised an eyebrow at the blonde haired human.

"Well, I'm from the year 2259, almost a hundred years in the future. I'm not really sure on how I got here in the first place. The last thing I remember was trying to find the source for an anomaly on an abandoned colony." Jamie said

This raised more questions for the four people around Jamie, but they didn't know how to approach any of them.

"I see that you are a captain. What's the name of your ship?" John asked

"It's a flagship called the USS Enterprise." Jamie said all embarrassed like.

John was shocked at what he had heard from Jamie, he knew things would change in the future, but he didn't know that this would happen. Soon dinging and buzzing kept coming from the bag that was brought with Jamie.

"Oh my god. My pad must still be connected to the future. Can one of you hand it to me please?" Jamie said

Phlox moved to hand the messenger bag to his ward as he had told her to not move from her spot on the bed.

"Thank you." Jamie said as she took out her pad.

When Jamie tapped some controls on her pad, she saw that Bones and Spock along with her T'Pol, Hoshi, Jonathan, Malcom and Phlox were all panicked in the group chat. It was funny on how Spock and Bones were the ones to come up with the worse case scenarios and not the people who actually raised her.

'Guys I'm safe. I'm on the NX-01.' Jamie typed

'It happened!' Malcom wrote back

'Finally!' Hoshi wrote

'I can finally breathe!' John wrote

'Yes! I'm so happy! :)' Phlox wrote

'It's pleasing to know you're there now.' T'Pol wrote

Jamie laughed at what her family was writing as she knew this was how history was supposed to be. She was told stories about this mysterious girl who swept Trip off to the future with her, obviously she was the girl and her storytellers didn't want her to know who she was in the past just yet. Jamie knew she had to get close to Trip so history could repeat itself and she knew exactly how that would happen. If she thought about it, this was one reason why Jamie had gotten one of her doctorates in engineering and why the specks of the engine of the NX-01 was on her pad since she was young.

'Assholes. All of you are assholes. Well, except you T'Pol.' Jamie wrote

'Understandable.' T'Pol wrote

'I resent that statement.' John said

'Hey! Why are we assholes but T'Pol is not?' Malcom wrote

'Yeah what Malcom said!' Hoshi wrote

'Because I said so!' Jamie wrote

'What the fuck happened down on tarsus darlin'?' Bones wrote

Jamie a bit smiled at the last word her brother had written in the group chat. Bones had always called her darlin' just like she had always called him Bones. Though she did use Leo before she came up with his nickname and when she needed to be serious with him. People rarely, if never, heard Jamie call Bones by his birth name as she never liked the names her friends had on paper.

Since meeting on that first day at the hospital, Bones knew that he wanted to be a doctor and told anyone who would listen. And in turn Jamie did some research on old doctors terminology and saw 'Sawbones' at the top of the list. After getting a bit of an explanation from Phlox on the word, Jamie gave Bones his nickname the next time they talked and it had stuck like glitter on glue.

'The anomaly we were studying while down there was what the time machines are supposed to do.' Jamie answered

'This is really crazy.' Bones wrote

'Trust me, I know. Spock I need you to get back to earth and use one of the time machines to get me back to our time.' Jamie said

'What if the machines won't work? The people working on them haven't turned them on yet.' Spock asked

'Oh, they will work.' Malcom said

'Yeah. We were there. It's why we authorize them when the department heads brought them to our attention and asked to make them.' John said

'You know what you must do Jamie. ;)' Phlox said

'Yes Phlox, I do know. I just can't believe that I'm the girl in the stories that your guys told me growing up. I expected this type of treatment from T'Pol, not the rest of you.' Jamie said

'Sorry about that love.' Malcom said

'Yeah sorry Koneko. We had to keep it under wraps till you got to Tarsus and then to the NX-01 safely. We couldn't take any chances if you knew ahead of time.' Hoshi said

'And if you did know in advance, you'd probably wouldn't have gone to Tarsus's surface with the others.' John said

'It was only logical this way.' T'Pol said

Jamie looked back up to the people who were in the room with her.

"Sorry about that. My family is getting a little bit excited that I'm here." Jamie said

"Your family?" John asked

"The people who raised me and the two men that I see as brothers. My brothers all freaked out that I disappeared on them." Jamie said

"And the people who raised you?" T'Pol asked

"Are on this ship right now." Jamie said

"What do you mean on this ship?" John asked

This confused the people around Jamie as they didn't know who she was talking about or if she was here to hurt people. Before turning her pad around, Jamie pulled up her photos app so she could explain it a bit better.

"Jonathan Archer, Malcom Reed, Hoshi Sato, Phlox, T'Pol. All five I've known all my life and they raised not only me, but my older brother as well. They gave me a home, food and a place of belonging as they put me into debutante balls and made me interact with diplomats." Jamie said as she scrolled through the photos.

This shocked them as T'Pol had never given up her name to the newcomer and Jamie had listed two other people on the ship that were never mentioned in her vicinity. Jamie turned off her pad, put it in her lap and waited for the questioning she knew was going to happen to start coming at her in full blast. Jamie was told about the questions and the answers so she knew what to say before it even started. The wheels in John's head began to turn as he was trying to figure out the woman who was sitting on the bio-bed in front of him.

"I can see that you want to ask me questions about how I know people that you have not mentioned to me. Just ask already. I'm not a very patient person." Jamie said

"The information that you already gave us is a lot to take in. I don't know where to start." John said

"Then I'll start. My full name is Jamison Tessa Kirk but I go by Jamie. I'm the sister to George Samuel Kirk Jr and the daughter to George Samuel Kirk Sr and Winona Kirk. I'm known as darlin', sweetheart, sweetie, ko-kai, Koneko, ko-fu, Auntie and Jimmy by my family." Jamie said

Jamie then took a breath as she used basically one breath to say all of that and it made her breathless by the time she finished her little rant.

"The Vulcans who call you ko-fu and ko-kai what do you call them in return?" T'Pol asked

"I call them sa-kai and sa-mekh of course." Jamie said

Sarek didn't really mind that Jamie called him sa-mekh as he viewed the human girl as a daughter just like both of his sons viewing her as a sister. And like any good sa-mekh, Sarek had taught Jamie things that George Sr would have if he was still alive.

"What does Koneko mean?" The man Jamie now knew as Trip Tucker asked

Trip reminded Jamie a bit of Bones when they were growing up and they were figuring each other out. There was also a point in her life, before that date with Bones, where Jamie didn't know if she should be with Spock or Bones. But she decided to date away from her friend group to save her friendships.

"Koneko means kitten in Japanese." Jamie said

After some more questioning from John and T'Pol, Phlox released Jamie from the bed and to the rest of the ship. Trip was asked by John to show Jamie where she was staying till her brother had the time machine was in his hands. Jamie was nervous about being on this ship as she knew what happened not that long ago from her history lessons along with the stories from John, Hoshi, Phlox, T'Pol and Malcom. When the duo got to the room, Trip turned to Jamie all nervous like.

"Here you go Ma'am." Trip said

Even though she was from the future, Jamie's rank still held up.

"Thank you. And you can just call me Jamie. I don't use my rank unless I'm on duty in front of the admirals." Jamie said

But even then, Malcom and John didn't use any ranks while talking with Jamie while she was on duty. The enterprise knew that in front of Malcom, John, Hoshi and T'Pol, they didn't need to use their captain's rank when talking with her.

"Good to know. You can call me Trip then." Trip said

Jamie nodded as she knew calling him by his last name was going to get tiresome and there was no way she could think up a nickname for Tucker. Scotty was enough for Jamie as that name for Montgomery as it was his last name and his nationality. Before going into the room she was given, she saw that Trip was squirming a bit and it made Jamie think about what was inside of Trip's head.

"Is there anything else you needed to say Trip?" Jamie asked

Jamie knew there was something on Trip's mind as he kept looking at her like someone with a big crush on a girl. That was how Joycelyn looked at Bones when they first got together and she met her and Spock for the first time. That was also before Joycelyn tried to get Bones to stop being their friends because she was so insecure about her own relationship with her boyfriend.

"What?" Trip asked as he was pulled out of his thoughts

"I said, is there anything else?" Jamie repeated

"No, there's nothing right now. Have a good night." Trip said before running off to either his room or to engineering.

"Okay, weird." Jamie muttered to herself.

Jamie walked into the room and looked around the small enclosed space she was given till Spock came to get her and Trip. This wasn't the first time Jamie had been on s ship this big as she had been on a survey ship for a training cruise while at the academy. Jamie hated survey ships as they were too small, barely had any arsenal and only had maybe fifteen tactical officers at once. That was one reason why she liked it so much on the enterprise, it was large enough for her too feel at home.

Jamie understood training cruises, but she was hell bent on serving under Chris when he got the enterprise out of the shipyard and to the space dock. She had known Chris for years and even helped him find a wife for himself. By the time Jamie was eighteen Chris had his first child, a son by the name of Charlie, and he asked Jamie to be the godmother to him. Jamie accepted as she always wanted to be someone's fairy godmother in real life, kind of like Cinderella's godmother.

There were even days while Jamie was in the academy where she had Charlie on her hip, taking him from class to class, as the young Pike didn't want to let her go after breakfast. Not that she minded as she loved Charlie with all her heart, but going to hand to hand class was a bit difficult as she was the TA and needed to change into work out clothes for it.
