When Katara and the Gaang get separated right after the crystal catacomb tomb in Ba Sing Se, Katara realizes she may not be able to help save the whole world, but she sure can save a few villages. Zuko may not be able to save Iroh from Azula’s lighting on his own, but after hearing of the Painted Lady reappearing on the Jang Hui river, Zuko knows she’s his best shot.

Qin's life hasn't been great. Losing her father and elder brothers to the war, it left her family broken and scarred. When Qin's mother cast her aside, Iroh took her in, and when Zuko was banished, Qin went with them, in hopes of making herself useful. However, when Zuko catches Aang, Qin becomes confused on who to help. It certainly doesn't help that a cute boy was helping Aang.

Katara hates heat. She probably hates it more than most; not that she doesn't have a good reason. Zuko, on the other hand, radiates heat from his very core. Stupid Firebender.

A near-death experience triggers an ancient Fire Nation law that throws Mai and Zuko back into each other's lives. And this time, it's for good.

After breaking up, Aang and Katara go their separate ways. But when unexpected events throw them back together, they have a hard time moving on—even if moving on is what's best for themselves, and for each other. Kataang break up with eventual make up. It's a busy day in the emergency department for Dr Katara, but the day takes a sudden turn for the worse when the code red alarm rings. Someone must've been in a horrific accident. Bitter and conflicted feelings arise.
