New home, new life, new journey ahead. Thats what Callie Torres is thinking while she stands on the door step of her new apartment. Boxes all around, checklist on the hand. She was just cut off on her space out when someone pushes her. She looks at the woman with curly long black hair, a little bit smaller than her and very petite, she is probably asian just judging on her looks, her eyes definitely.

" Are you just going to stare at me the whole time? Its rude"

Callie blushes and scratch her head she does it when she feels embarrassed.

" Im sorry, I didnt mean to stare. Im Callie Torres by the way"

She held her hand as she was introducing herself to the woman. But the woman just turn her back. Callie just retreated her hands and whispered to herself how rude the woman is.

"Christina Yang"

The woman or Christina says before entering the room on the right side of the apartment. Okay maybe she is not that rude. Callie just let it go. Maybe they will get close eventually. They were roomate for goodness sake. They will live together for god who knows how long.

Callie opened the paper she is holding that eventually is the list that things she needed to buy. She walks to one of the boxes and starts to move it to the door of the room that on left side of the apartment in which she didnt choose cause there is no other choices anymore. She just chuckles to herself.

"Care to share whats so funny?"

Callie flinched as she was surprised by the sudden voice on the door way. She look at the doorway and just rolled her eyes. It was Mark Sloan her bestfriend.

"Thats not the right attitude to show for the person who will give you some help Torres"

Mark says as he lift the box and walks toward Callie

"I didn't need your help Sloan and FYI thats not my box"

She told him and she proceed to push another box. Before even Mark can ask about the owner of the box, Christina came out from her room.

"Ive been waiting for you in the lobby earlier, that, that, these and that are my boxes, just move it to my room"

Christina just point all her belongings to Mark who just looked at her dumbfounded and Callie just surpress her laughters.

"Hey! Dumb, dumb are you deaf, move!"

Mark just flinch about what the woman say to him. Callie just let out a laugh, who would have thought that this very handsome and world renowned surgeon will be just mistaken as a helper. The confusion on Christina's face is written.

"What's so funny?" Christina asked

Callie just looked at Mark and laugh again this time Mark walks towards Christina and give her box to her.

"Im not your helper, you move your own boxes. Im here to help my best friend who seems find this situation funny"

Mark says and Callie just laugh more about it.

"Okay, Torres stop it now. May I remind you that I will still be your boss, I can make your resident life a living hell right?"

Callie just rolled her eyes.

"Oh please Mark, Im a resident and not an intern anymore" Callie said

Christina's face change instantly as she hears what Callie said.

"Wait, you're a doctor?" Christina asked

"Yes, I am a doctor, a surgeon to be exact in Seatle Grace Hospital" Mark proudly say

Christina's eyes became wide as she cant believe she just mistaken her supposed to be boss as a helper. She really screwed up.

"And you're a doctor too arent you?" Callie say as she realize the looked of terror on Christina's face

"Yes, 1st year intern" she said and turn her back to the two and walks to her room and slammed the door.

Mark and Callie just laughed at what just happened. After they composed their selves they started unpacking and arranging Callie's things. It was past 6pm when Mark's cellphone rings. It was from the hospital, he didn't have the pager today because its his off. He answer it immedietly as the hospital wont call him if its not that important. The nurse informed him he was needed cause there was a multiple vehicle accident and all hands on deck. Callie just looked at him.

"Im gonna go Cal, they needed me at the hospital. There was MVA and all hands on deck." Mark says as he was grabbing his jacket from the rack.

Callie stands up and grab her jacket too. Mark looked at her with confussion.

"What? You said all hands on deck, they needed more help" Callie told him as she walks fast towards the elevator

Mark followed her, the elevator ride seems so long and as soon as the elevator door open they run as fast as they can across the street where the hospital is. As they enter the emergency room the chaos is all over it. There where patients that crying from pain, relatives screaming looking for there love once, doctors and nurses running around. Mark run to the nurse station and Callie didnt notice it she was just fascinated about the situation happening in front of her.

"Hey! Doctor Torres, ready save lives?" Mark cuts her off from her lost world.

She puts on her brave face. She miss this for a while the hassle and chaos that hospital life, the adrenaline that it brings. She smile and she told herself she is definitely ready.
