First part of a three part project: The Great war was finally over, with the Covenant and the Flood defeated there were no enemies left to fight, mankind could finally take a breath and enjoy the peace they had earned after twenty seven years of a war that had claimed twenty three billion lives. Years after the Covenant Remnant founded by Jul M'dama had been destroyed, a new Covenant of Prophet-led Brutes attempt to attack humanity and its allies. This story is about Noble Six in Shepard's crew during Mass Effect 2. This is my first fic, please be nice.

I decided to move the timeline and technology database into their own section, so readers who just want the story can have that now.

The Human/Covenant was a long one, billions died on both sides yet Humanity always stood tall, fought back and kept going even when it seemed impossible. For the UNSC battlegroup Lima they will need to do this once again when they are thrown into another universe entirely and for one SPARTAN super soldier she'll need to overcome her hate and learn to trust those she despises.

Space was not as the idealists thought, no prosperity or enlightenment. Humanity has been at war, with itself and with alien races, since it first left the Sol System. The Innies, the Zealots and the turians failed to beat the UNSC and Shepard will be damned if he's gonna let some ship with a god complex succeed. Not on his watch.

It's all a matter of perspective...

During a routine patrol, a Turian flottila encounters a new race activating Relay 314. The ensuing events will change humanity, council space and the individuals involved.

While the Infinty preps for a joint mission with Covenant allies, an ancient plan is set into motion to herald in a new age of war. NB: This series will include more than just the indicated xovers. There will be more leading into a final story.
